Story 1:First Aid
Antos slowly enters the class room. Seeing his teacher sitting on the desk, Antos spoke with the utmost curiosity.
"Um, where’s the other students ?’’ Antos asked, unsure of what was going on.
‘’Finding the question trivial.’’, the teacher chuckled a bit before responding.
Antos looked around the classroom, only half believing the teacher. He debated for a minute wondering if his teacher was being serious or joking around. Unable to decide,
Antos asked, "Am I being tricked ?
"This is an individual lesson.’’
Antos tried his best not to laugh at the Professor's name. He managed to only give a slight chuckle which was an accomplishment. The Professor was the type that spoke very slowly. "Before we get into the real thing, we will start with the lesson of first aid.". He said. Professor Hans Jerkov slowly speaks with a scratchy throat, "Before we get into the real thing we will start with the lesson of the First Aid."
Antos slowly pulled out his holopad and a pen and began to diligently take notes. After thirty exciting minutes of teaching, Professor Hans Jerkov then told Antos to put away his writing utensils and he did so. The Professor then told Antos that he will be working with other classmates in this simulation about First Aid
Three young students came from the entrance of the classroom slowly with medical jumpsuits. As the professor named each of them: "Zach, Nick, and Ian."
Antos greeted them all with a handshake and then introduced himself. Before they went into the simulation that was apparently, open the Professor briefed them on the upcoming task. After forty minutes of him explaining, he finally went over their equipment that they would have in the simulation. As another forty minutes of him explaining what will happen and their equipment.
Before they went into the simulation, Antos made sure he had all the notes he needed and then studied them for a quick five minutes before going into the simulation to not make a mistake in the simulation. Before they stepped into the simulation room, the Professor said reminds them, "Remember the ABC's and the 3 P's, and remember this is a group simulation not an ‘on your own’ simulation." Then they all nodded at the Professor and then walked into the simulation with the door closing shut behind them. As they slowly appear into a Medical Transport.
Antos started to get nervous for this was his beginning First Aid exam and was scared he might fail. As the pilot slowly yelled to them saying the ET of landing is 2 minutes. Antos slowly checked his medical bag for all his supplies then he noticed a phone in his back pocket, as did the others. When the pilot said that the Landing Zone is just 10 seconds away the little medical squad then prepared to deploy from the transport.
The transport then landed onto the ground and the metallic ramp opened up and the medical squad deployed from the transport. They slowly saw a small military outpost. They slowly rushed to the building opening the door to see few injured men. The group then rushed to the four wounded men. One of the men had a little slash in his right upper arm. The other person had a fractured wrist. Next, the other person had a minor wound in his head having a few cuts and bruises. Finally, the other person just had a little burn on his forehead. Zach then orderd the group who to perform First Aid to the injured men. Zach himself had the person with the minor slash, Ian had the man with the burn in his forehead, Nick had the man with the minor wounds on him, and Antos had the man with the weakened wrist. Antos slowly swallowed going to the man with the wrist. Antos started to shake in a nervous state.
Antos asked the man" Where exactly is the pain coming from?" The man pointed around the ball of the wrist.
Antos nodded to the man and then removed his medical bag from his back and then removed all the supplies from it. Antos noticed the bone sticking out from his wrist. Antos gave the man a wooden little stick.
‘’You might want to bite that.’’
The man slowly nodded to him, biting on the wooden stick. Antos then took out an anti-bacterial ointment and quickly spread it around the wound with his equipped surgical gloves that were on from the beginning of the simulation. He took out a scalpel nervously cutting open the wrist seeing the wound. He also out a cleaning cloth and wiped the blood around his wound away from the man's skin for no infection. He grabbed the medical pincer quickly and grabbed the fragments of the bone with the pincers and put it onto a metal plate.
Antos Xon then removed all the fragments from the patient and observed for any more remaining fragments. After searching for any more fragments he then put some anti bacterial ointment onto the fragments of the bones. Then he grabbed the first fragment of the bone and puts it near the top of the fractured bone, connecting it successfully. He then performed the same procedure with all the bones and then noticed part of the fragment just sticking out. He then makes a observation of the fragment of the bone and then he successfully fixes it with his pincers. He took out a syringe full of rejuvenators and injected the fixed fragments of the bone and successfully injected the rejuvenators.
Antos took out another cleaning cloth and then wiped the blood from the bones from the man's skin. Antos took out a wire of stitches and a roll of wrap bandage. He sewed the wound successfully. He slowly spread more of the ointment onto the stitched wound. Antos finally wrapped the bandage quickly onto the stitched wound. The man slowly removed the wooden stick from his mouth with his hand and then thanked Antos for his help. Ian,Nick, And Zach seemed to finish way before Antos. The simulation slowly ended and the professor came into the simulation rooms and congratulates the students.
He finally said,"Good Job."
COMMENTS: Well, it certainly took you enough tries but I think you are finally ready to say this is correct. I still think there are small things you could fix like your use of the word then all the time and instead of saying something like "As the pilot slowly yelled to them saying the ET of landing is 2 minutes." go ahead and make the pilot speak. But no...I will go ahead and pass you. Good work! -------------------
