It takes a fair amount of time for BARman to finish the changes he is making, his goal is to take what is designed to be a 2 pilot machine, and make it one that he can pilot on his own with the assistance of his R7 droid in the second cockpit. The hardest part of the change is not to get it set up so that R7 can pilot/co-pilot the vehicle from there, the hardest part is actually rerouting all of the other systems into the cockpit. After all, the R7 has more than enough power to work the basic functions of assisting the pilot of the craft, and BARman wishes to make use of those capabilities, and so painstakingly he reroutes all the systems so that they can be controlled and monitored by R7 in his cockpit. As he works on this BARman is also thinking about his droid, and trying to decide what he should name the little R7 unit. As he has R7 come up and get into the cockpit to test out the controls and such BARman examines the rest of the area around him, making sure that the other droids have gotten safely stowed away on board before he goes up to the other cockpit and begins a test flight with R7 as his co-pilot.

Returning from his room with his various supplies to stock the transport with BARman is assisted by his droids as he stores his various things onboard his transport. Going first forward to his weapon and armor lockers, he puts 1 set of 611 Combat Armor into the Armor locker, and a A280 Armor-Piercing Heavy Blaster Rifle into the weapon locker. Placing his deactivated Droideka into the area with the lockers forward BARman proceeds back a short distance to the locker he has designated for tools, and puts the following inside the locker: F-187 Fusion Cutter, FastTurn-3 Hydrospanner, GL-1 Glowrod, Laser Screwdriver, and ReliaCharger Power Calibrator. Into a supplies locker he places both his ration packs and the anti-radiation treatment medication provided for him. Finally BARman begins to assign his droids to their particular duty stations onboard the transport. First he programs his Droideka to remain in its position forward near the lockers when the transport is underway, but upon arrival anywhere other than the hangar, the droid will be activated and charged with the task of guarding the transport until either BARman or another person designated by BARman returns to the craft.  Both the 3PO protocol droid and the LE series repair droid are given duties when onboard the craft while underway, the protocol droid is responsible for communications, while the repair droid is assigned to both maintaining the craft when in the hangar or landed and making repairs during combat. Finally R7 is normally assigned to the second cockpit, unless BARman has chosen to allow a second person to take those controls, in which case the astro droid will assist the LE with repairing and maintaining the transport unless given other orders.
