Battlefront 2 questions

I was thinking about getting Battlefront 2 for the pc, it's finally cheap enough that I feel the need to buy it :P

My question is: is the game compatible with a joystick? I find turning with the mouse a little bit uncomfortable and using a joystick would make the game easier for me

I've played BF1 and 2 on the Xbox (roommate) - I can't play games like that without a mouse. A joystick - seems even harder to me. :P
