En Route to Kashyyyk

The lifeless cold durasteel seemed to crack as the shuttle lifted off, slowly but surely gaining speed as it ripped through the atmosphere of  the now distant planet.  The only passenger on board was a Droid, HK-61, who until recently, was a mindless assassin droid, that is, until he came into the hands of the Vast Empire Navy, who granted him the programming to think on his own.

He was given a special mission, completely outside the chain of command, and if he was compromised, the Navy would not send for rescue, it was completely hush hush.  The mission, if the droid accepted it, which of course he did, was to annihilate key figures for a small rebellion happening on Kashyyyk.

"Statement: This should be fun." chirped the Droid as he entered the small cargo hold that was being used as an armory.  "Query: What shall be my weapon of choice? Sniper Rifle? Assault Rifle? Blaster Pistole? Verpine Shatter Gun? So many choices."

The droid grabbed what he thought would be needed as his vessel began to close in on Kashyyyk.  The planet, a green marble within the system, grew larger and larger as HK-61 looked out into the distance.  The planet would no doubt be in political chaos, allowing HK-61 to sneak in easily and undetected, hopefully being able to reach the Shadowlands to set up his gear quickly.

1 Hour Later
ShadowLands

"Excited Statement: It worked like a charm...and if need be, I have a lovely pelt to fashion a disguise." said the Droid as he through down the dead Wookiee that controlled entrance into the Shadowlands.

The Droid immediately began fashioning a camp, setting up all his equipment needed, including sonic emitters to keep out natural fauna, turrets just in case they do get near, and sweat glands to prevent any of the annoying fauna that would make it through out.

"Proud Statement: This is home away from home." chirped the Droid as he began to fix his sniper scope, calibrating it to the exact measurement he would need.

“I understand, Woor’ful,” Phineus stated, “I assure you I will get to the bottom of this disturbance.”

Woor’ful let out a thanks giving growl, and allowed Phineus passage in the elevator. The wookies of Kashyyyk have been hearing troubling tales of an assassin droid deep beneath the forest of Kashyyyk, and due to Phineus’ good relations with the wookies, they personally assigned him the job.

Dealing with an assassin droid was no easy task, and Phineus had planned accordingly. He was dressed in his in CompForce Armor, his ABC protection hood pulled over his head. His FSK-7 combat knife clung tightly beneath his left shoulder, his M-70 pistol strapped to its usual home on Phin’s right thigh. Sheathed and strapped on his back was his Sat’skar sword. His primary weapon of choice however, was his MG-1 Electrostaff, deactivated, but at the ready. With his efficient combination of his arsenal and his stealth tactics, he was just as dangerous as this assassin droid he was employed to hunt.

The elevator came to a halt, and Phineus took in the vast forest which lay ahead, as well as the terrible smell coming not a meter from the elevator. Ahead of him, sprawled out on the ground, was the tach eaten body of a wookie. Something wasn’t right, however, as the wookie appeared to be… skinned.

“Fierfek,” Phineus muttered.

It was an awful sight, and one that Woor’ful would surely throw one hell of a wookie fit over. Phineus trekked on through the forest, which, for the most part, was void of any living establishments. He did notice a run down, forest eaten hut, which looked as though it had been abandoned for a few thousand standard years. About a mile later and Phineus spotted the problem.

It was a rather large encampment, about a hundred meters deeper into the forest. He zoomed further in with his binoculars, and spotted several anti-sentient machinery. Whatever this assassination droid was up to, he certainly didn’t want anyone to know about it.

But that doesn’t add up, Phineus pondered; why the frak would an assassination droid set this all up? Unless he was employed by someone, but still, this is a bit much.

Phineus took in his surroundings, trying to think up a plan to get into the encampment, without getting killed. The land was quite flat, but to Phin’s right, a weed ridden hill shot to from Phin’s position, to about three meters past the encampment. It was worth a try. Phineus speed walked up the hill, and after a good half a mile walk, he was directly above the encampment’s outer region.

Now what?

Phineus mused over countless plans of attack, but when his scanners only picked up one life form, he made his decision. Phineus pulled down his ABC protection hood, gripped tightly to his MG-1 electrostaff, and leapt off the hill. He landed gracefully in the center of the encampment, about three meters behind the single assassination droid. The droid’s body was a burnt red, his frame was menacing, and clearly recognizable to Phineus. It was an Hunter-Killer model, a model that Phineus knew very well.

If only HK-95 was here, he joked.

Phineus stood, ignited his electrostaff, and addressed the droid.

“Hello there,” Phineus said with a devilish smirk across his face.

The droid turned to face Phineus, “Greeting: Hello, trespassing meat bag.”

"Greeting: Hello, trespassing Meatbag." said HK-61 as he took a swing at Phin, causing the human to step back with his electrostaff ready.  "Threatening Statement: I am very sorry my dear Naval buddy, but Navy Command has brought me down here to exterminate the rebellion that will be taking place.  My orders are to mask my presence as long as possible...which means, sadly, I shall have to kill you."

"That's so cute, letting me know what type of sentence you're going to speak. I don't think I would have picked up on the threat otherwise." said Phin sarcastically.  HK, who was at the moment disarmed, walked slowly over to his stash of weapons.

"Query: Why did they send you?" asked the Droid as he grabbed two Shatter Gun pistols.  Phin had his electrostaff activated and readied, holding it dangerously close to HK's head.

"Because I am a trusted friend, that, and you gave them the creeps with your cheesy adjectives attached to your sentences." said Phin with a smile.  The droid put away the guns, and walked over towards the center of the encampment, where a fire was going. "Why would a droid need a fire?"

"Statement: So my circuits don't freeze at night, and I knew I'd be followed.  It's damp within the Shadowlands, and I didn't want the humanoid that was following me, i.e. you, to catch a cold.  That would be most displeasent." said the Droid as he sat down.  The sounds of multiple creatures off in the distance could be heard as Phin sat down, dropping his electro staff but having one hand on his gun at all times.

"How can I get you to get off of Kashyyyk?" asked Phin, being serious for the first time since he knew the Droid.  The droid's head began scanning the area around Phin's head, looking for a weakness or any tell tale signs that Phin was nervous.  The droid only received one, and it wasn't fear or anger, but sarcastic, arrogant pride, which Phin was filled with.

"Statement: Asking the Wookie's to not rebel would get me off of this planet.  Killing their leader will get me off of here as well. Burning the planet to the ground would also get me off of here." said HK-61 as he motioned towards a bomb he had set up while he was waiting.

"What's that?" asked Phin quizzically. The droid ran a program that sounded like laughing, something he had liked to do when he was confronted with a question that allowed him to talk about a scheme or plan of his own.

"Answer: That is a napalm bomb, set to explode if my power-core stops running.  Fenris, my friend and former master, helped me set up the detonator.  It will cause a massive explosion, causing a huge fire to be spread, which will set fire to the trees base in the Shadowlands, slowly rising to the top, and by the time the Hairy Meatbags find out, their rebellion will have completely blinded them and they shall burn, causing massive panic and chaos as the Carpets burn and create more fires." answered the Droid, who began to sound excited.

If the droid was organic, he would've been able to sense that Phin became uncomfortable and quick.  Killing the Assassin droid wouldn't do him any good now, because it would cause genocide if the Droid's plan came to fruition.
