I'm not making assumptions as much as trying to interpret your talking points from the average rabid blog rants.
Obama is a "close friend" to everyone he's ever met? Come on. That is such a specious argument it doesn't stand the light of day.
Since you have never had the opportunity to go to a Black Pentecostal style church, let me enlighten you that Wright's words aren't *THAT* controversial. I've heard many a similar, if not hard-edged, sermon along the same lines. Given the community, the context, the history, and the entire sermon, often over 3 hours at a time, I do not see the argument. I'm not black, but I never felt such words aimed at me specifically or against the nation at large. You take a 10 second sound byte and turn it into something it isn't. You can dislike it all you want, but it is a true BS argument. And I stand by my earlier statements on white preachers who can preach not just anger, but outright hate, and get away with it.
As for biofuels, yes, it is an intermediary step. And sunflower biodiesel is near the 1:1 ratio in the first generation. Soybean, sugarcane and switchgrass are also below the 1.4:1 ratio. Corn is a great example of a good idea gone bad. It helps corn farmers, but is truly just a sop to the industry, not a solution to a problem. The first gen of ANY development is inefficient. And, as stated, this is just a step until photovoltaics, hydrogen, and other techs get out of the gate.
Speaking of straw men, your entire argument against biofuels is that this is an endpoint. Very few, except for the farmers in field truly see this.
Since you did not actually state your pointed opposition to Obama's nuclear policy, I'm not sure how his plans are a departure from other presidents. We LET China build Pakistani nukes. We didn't quite get a handle on the USSR/CIS/fractured states and we got very damn lucky with that. North Korea was not engaged in discussions and then went it's own way. Iran is tempted to follow the same example. This isn't a Republican or Democratic failure, it is an American failure and I sure the heck don't see anyone solving this through bluster, sanctions, and ignoring other countries.
And, while you may disagree with the candidates, blanket statements such as "it is wrong" does not leave the impression you are even willing to see that another side or sides exist in an argument. Thus I fall back on my earlier statements that you are likely just parroting the opinions of rabble rousers.
You don't have to like Obama, and obviously won't vote for him, but this kneejerk "best of Limbaugh" list is just silly.
If you don't wish to be misunderstood, then make a clearer argument.
