Here's my bio. I have yet to write up a description and I will do that very soon.
____

Lights flickered on and off noiselessly. It was a nuisance as it reflected on the Doctor’s thick glasses, making it difficult to read the latest printout.

“How are her vitals?”

”The same as yesterday sir. There have been no changes in…Well anything. Nothing we do is altering her symptoms.” The Doctor sighed at these results and peeled off his glasses to rub his weary eyes. This experiment wasn’t going well as they had hoped. They might have to initiate plan F-BL1028 sooner than originally expected. The Doctor put back on his glasses and tossed his clip board onto the nearest surface and walked towards the glass.

Her eyes were closed, those deep gray eyes that constantly held sadness in them. She was only an experiment. She was not human. The Doctor looked at the computer next to her prison. As he gazed at the screen he saw her pulse readings began to quicken, and her wide eyes shot open.

“Good morning B. Your reaction time is increasing. Good, good.” He stared up at her. The experiment’s eyes always looked sad, her eyebrows matching her eyes. She could not cry, and the Doctor had long since stopped wondering if she would if it were possible. The only area of her face they could see, her eyes and eyebrows, looked this way, always sad. A genetic error? Or maybe this experiment actually had feelings. It was not part of their assignment to be concerned about BL1028’s feelings. That was not why they were here. It was not why she was here.

BL1028 only stared at him from behind the glass. The monitors and wires told them everything they needed to know. She had no reason to speak. The large wire connected to her spinal cord reported the condition of her nervous system. The ones connecting to the back of her neck and her ears monitored her brain. She had over thirty wires of various sizes jacked into every part of her humanoid looking body. No, there was no reason for her to speak.

Her helmet covered her head, but this morning her visor was up. It was too early to be running tests.

“Why don’t you tell me what’s wrong B?” The Doctor stared long and hard at the monitor. The staff couldn’t figure out what was wrong. It was hypothesized that it was a minor case of rebellion. Much like a teenager longing to be free of authority, she simply wanted to be let loose. They had been careful how much of the outside they showed her. Too much and they would have a problem on their hands, but it was necessary. Their job was to train her, to make her better than her counterpart. Past experiments had failed their training. BL1028 was the only successful prototype so far. Many had high hopes for her and their funding couldn’t support another like her. A lot was riding on this experiment. They couldn’t risk the entire assignment to a case of ‘teenage rebellion.’ Yes – they would have to enter operation F-BL1028 much sooner than expected.

The Doctor turned away from the glass, away from the girl suspended by her wires.
“It’s time.” The Doctor faced his staff of seven people, those of various ages and sizes, all brought here by their level of brilliance.

“What? It’s too early sir! She could fail before she even reaches her destination –“ A woman stuttered out in shock, incomprehensive of what the Doctor had just said.

“She has been trained for this Ericson. If we wait too much longer all we have accomplished thus far will be for naught.” The Doctor stood calm in front of his staff. He trusted them and listened to them, but now was not the time for opinions.

“I think the Doctor is right. There is too much at risk here if we don’t do it,” Chimed in a third assistant.

“How soon is now?” A younger member of the team stared at the Doctor from over the shoulder of his peers, too short to see behind them.

“Right now. We no longer have any more time to –“ A red light began flashing on and off, this one not so silent as the original. Everyone rushed to their stations, eager to figure out where the problem was coming from. The Doctor did not follow the frantic rush, but instead stood staring at the experiment they had worked so hard on for so many years.

She was breaking free. BL1028’s eyes were no longer sad, but looked blank and hard. Her gloved hand was clenched in a fist and began pulling at the wires that had held her in place for so many years. One by one they snapped, and every movement she made brought her one step closer to freedom.

The woman broke free of her wired prison and stared at the Doctor from behind the glass. No one had anticipated her bringing about her own freedom and the thin glass shattered as her reinforced fist collided with it. The Doctor stood there, looking at her with fascination written clearly on his face. The love for this humanoid kept him planted there; this man was proud of his work, proud of the person he had created. He had played god, and now his turn was up. BL1028 stepped out from her cage, her legs working like she had been using them all her artificial life. She stepped up to the Doctor and grabbed his neck with a iron grasp.

The man got out two words before the life was squeezed from his frail body by the thing he had created.

“Assignment completed.”
