== Background History ==
Katarn was born on a moisture farm right outside Mos Eisley. Since the day he turned 6 he had a passion for accuracy. When he turned 13 his father gave him is first blaster pistol. Right when the pistol hit his hand he knew that it was his dream to join the Empire. When Katarn turned 16, his parents threw him a party, they let him know that they are proud Katarn is applying for a position within the Empire.
On the night of Katarn's birthday, his parents walked outside to relax under the stars. Suddenly a small raid of Tusken Raiders attacked them. During the party Katarnand the party-goers heard the attack and rushed outside, to thier horror the Tuskan Raiders had just murdered Katarn's parents. Filled with anger Katarn grabbed his blaster and rushed the small group of Tuskan Raiders. With deadly accuracy Katarn shot each one in the head. When it came down to the last Raider, Katarn shot it in the leg. As it fell in agony Katarn shot it in the chest repeatidly yelling, "WHAT HAVE MY PARENTS DONE TO YOU?!".
After the dreadful night, Katarn held a funeral for his family, inviting all who witnessed. Once the funeral was finished he rushed home, and filled out the intiation letter in memory of his parents acceptance.
