||Name: Raine Amavia
Hair: Dark Brown; curly and very short, her hair stops an inch above the neck and because of this Raine is often mistaken for a guy from behind.
Eye Color: Light green
Skin Color: Pale
Physical Build: Above average
Personality: Raine, is an out going person. She usually has a lot to say and isn't afraid of embarrassment. She is a very loyal person and her ego can get in the way of things. She has the tendency to wear her mind on her sleeve and hates the silence. She is a loud person but does know when she needs to shut up. She is humble and is getting better at pushing her opinions and ego to the side when it matters.
Raine grew up on the planet Clovoris with only her father, Ryate Amavia. He wasn't her biological father but there wasn't a moment that Raine thought he was not. She never knew her real mother and her father had found her wandering around on the streets at an early age with only her name and the clothes on her back. He was a kind man, always teaching her things and telling her stories, spending as much time with Raine as he could when he wasn't working.
He had to support both of them and when Raine was old enough she got a job running errands for people. She didn't make a lot, but had realized at a young age that this man who wasn't even her real father was doing a lot for her. She did whatever she could to help him out, soon developing a great admiration and devotion
for the man.
As Raine grew, so did the planet. But it did not grow to be a better place, it began to become poisoned by smugglers and thieves. At the age of 17 her father had lost his job and soon jobs and a good education were beginning to vanish. Her father became desperate and got a job working for a smuggler without telling Raine. He knew Raine had no respect for the low life but he had to get money before they were evacuated out of they're little home.
One night Raine was in her room and had heard her dad talking on the phone with someone. Where is this place he had to go to? Raine ignored it. The following day was Ryate's birthday and she was going to surprise him at work. She hoped he would be happy with his birthday present.
She pulled the little box out from under her pillow and looked at the poorly wrapped thing. It looked a little pathetic but that didn't matter. She soon fell asleep, images of the following day would turn out to be danced in her head.
She woke up later than normal, already knowing her dad would already be at work. She got dressed and put her package in her messenger bag, ready to head out to Ryate's office, thoughts swimming through her head.
She neared toward his office and looked up at the sky. It would rain soon, but she shrugged it off as she reached the office.
She looked at the run-down building in disbelief. Boards covered every door and window. Graffiti covered it, making it look pathetic. "Wha..." The address of where Ryate was supposed to go flashed in her mind. She began running, her legs going as fast as they would go, which was fairly fast.
She skidded to a stop as she looked to where the address lead her. Maybe she was wrong...Maybe she didn't hear it right. Stood before her was a warehouse. It looked shabby and old. Why would he be here? Thunder clashed above her head as she opened the side door peaking inside. She wandered in, taking the box out of her bag as she did so. The place was full of crates and other sell able things. She knew where she was.
She walked out from behind the crates and say her father, standing there with another shady looking man.
Tears pierced the corner of her eyes. She threw the present at her father, not quite making it and ran out of the building, her father's voice piercing her ears like daggers.
Dark clouds hovered about a lightening made itself known, followed closely by thunder. Tears streamed down her face, beckoning the rain. She ran far away. Everything she had known was a lie. Her father was a lie. This place was a lie. She slowed down to a trot and stood in the empty street, the pain all coming out. Her insides burned. The rain continued down, as if to show its sympathy. She knew what she needed to do. She had to go somewhere. Somewhere far away.
*Two Years Later*
Raine had to wait two years before she could join the army, but had in the mean time moved to a different planet, avoiding contact with her "father". He had taught her so much. About justice, honor, and other things that screamed 'good'. He had gone against all that he taught on that one fateful day. The day that brought her to the Vast Empire Army.
