Personality:
Feris has a rather severe personality. He believes that harsh lessons are the ones best remembered. While he seems utterly controlled and disciplined on the outside, this is only a compensation for the turmoil within. Feris is desperate to prove himself at every opportunity. He sees every inspection, every exam and every seemingly routine task as a test of his personal worth, tests that he will not allow himself to fail. His perfectionism runs so deeply that for days after what he considers to be a substandard performance he will be in shambles. He will analyze every detail of what he did desperately trying to find where he went wrong.

Feris is also staunchly loyal to his friends, though it takes him quite a while to develop a true friendship. Once Feris develops a true bond with someone, he will defend that person with every ounce of strength in him. On the other hand, he is quite paranoid and has no level of trust for those he does not know well. He will at times go so far as to accuse others of plotting against him. He is not one for political games; he prefers direct action with direct results. He recognizes the need for such subtle strategies but does not feel that he has any talent or taste for such maneuvering.

History:
Much of Feris ambition and personality can be attested to his father. Kurlovv Landala was an anti smuggling operative assigned to patrol the coreward systems. He had a brilliant career and was widely regarded as one of the best. One fateful operation brought an end to all that. Working undercover, Kurlovv was conducting a transaction with a small time smuggling outfit near the edge of the core. Everything was going according to plans until Kurlovv was ambushed in the local cantina. No one should have been able to break his cover, but somehow the smugglers had made him. Kurlovv, being no stranger to close quarters engagements, was able to take out a good number of the group before a lucky shot nearly destroyed his right hand.

Desperate to escape and discover the source of the leak, Kurlovv fled, leading the remaining smugglers on a deadly game of cat and mouse. Wounded and in unfamiliar territory, it wasnt long before Feris father was caught. Amid the group of smugglers, Kurlovv saw what would become his end, his partner Terion Alamcz. Kurlovv had resigned himself to death, when luck intervened in the form of local security coming to investigate. Narrowly escaping death, Kurlovv was taken to an emergency medical facility where most of the functionality of his right hand was restored.

Months later, Kurlovv would give testimony on his partner and long time friend. Alamcz was sentenced to death for the crime of treason. Kurlovv himself was offered a command position due to the fact that his injury prevented further field operations. He accepted this position but was never happy again. He resigned his commission a few short months later.

Kurlovv always spoke to his son of the values of loyalty and vigilance. Feris took these lessons to heart and applied himself as best as he could. He trained himself physically and mentally. While he was a fair student in his early years, Feris instructors could not help but notice his drive and determination to do better. When he reached the age of eighteen, Feris believed it to be nothing short of destiny that he join the Imperial Navy in the hopes of continuing his fathers mission of bringing justice to every corner of the universe.

Hobbies:
Being relentlessly driven, even in his spare time Feris seeks to constantly improve himself. Depending on his mood he can be found training himself physically by lifting weights or practicing combat techniques or studying for upcoming exams. Feris will, on rare occasions join classmates at the cantina for a few drinks, but he is very reserved when it comes to consumption.

Pilot Personality:
Having only been in the flight school for a short time, Feris has not yet developed a concrete flying style yet. He leans towards a combination of a bandit and duke. In flight, as well as in the rest of his pursuits, Feris is driven towards accomplishing his goals. He will strive for a high kill count unless a better opportunity to prove himself is available. Feris routinely will expose himself to the greatest risks, which puts any wingman he serves with in an unenviable position. The greatest challenge Feris would have to face in the sky is being partnered with a mediocre pilot. His drive to prove himself would directly conflict with his need to loyally keep his partner safe.
