Background History
When Jacen was born he was born in a rich and the most noted family in all of Molabia. His father was Christian Preket. Christian was a senator of Molabia back in the days of the old republic. His father aligned himself with the empire and became a great asset. Jacens mother, Ileana however was born on the planet Mimban. Later in her life she would move to Molabia and work in the capital city Selptic.
When Jacen was born Molabia was full of protestors. The poor citizens of the planet were beginning to lose faith in their Senator which at the time was Christian Preket. Jacen spent his days inside his nice luxurious house tinkering with toys and appliances. He took them apart and rebuilt then. But when he rebuilt them there were much better and higher of quality then when first bought in stores. His mom Ileana never helped around the house, she spent most of her time flirting with men other then his father; and his father was always busy at Molabia Palace where the senate offices were at in Molabia.
Though Jacen may of been an only child so to say. His father though on a job in Nar Shadaa brought back a slave of the Hutts, Kolin Shadaa. So Jacen and Kolin became the best of friends. However when they became friends who would of thought that their home world was about to go under a civil war. The lower class citizens were taking their protesting to another level. They would invade Selptic City and enter the gardens of Molabia Palace to protest. They would start fires and destroy what they could. The Lower class was being treated very unfairly in their eyes.
Meanwhile the Prekens lost all their money. It seems that Ileana met some Twi'lek at the Cantina and had an affair with him. So the next mourning when she woke up the Twi'lek was gone and so was their fortune. And due to being broke Christian Preket was kicked out of the Galactic Senate and a man named Siven Lanso declared himself Dictator. Siven Lanso was a man of power some people even believe that he made Christian Prekets decisions. But Siven became the dictator by doing the unthinkable. He assassinated all government officials of Molabia to do it. And once he declared himself dictator he pulled Molabia out of the republic.
Once the Prekets lost all their money they were forced out of Selptic along with the rest of lower class citizens. Siven Lanso made them live as outsiders on the outskirts of the city. And with there being only one city in Molabia and the rest forest there was nowhere else for them to go. They were to poor to form another city so they all built small grass huts to live in. Though the lower class citizens took it to the extreme when they tried to enter Selptic City by killing Molabian Guards which just happened to start the Molabian Civil War.
Jacen Preket and his friend Kolin Shadaa were in their early teens when this all happened. Christian told them to escape to the other side of the lake near Selptic so they would not get hurt or killed in this war. Which is exactly what happened. On the other side of the lake they met other families who lived over there.
Meanwhile in the war it seemed as though Siven persuaded Christian Preket to join him instead of the lower class citizens. This war only lasted a few days as the Molabian Army sent a sentry droid to find the outcasts one night. The outcasts were sleeping and it seemed that most of them were drunk as they were celebrating because part of the Molabian army surrendered. So the sentry droid found the outcasts undetected and then reported to Siven where they were. Though the funny thing is Christian was sent over to them alone a few days later to ask for their surrender. But as Christian entered their camp the outcasts had their laser composts ready and killed him on the spot. But once he died the Molabian Army invaded the outcasts camp just hours later and killed a third of the outcasts troops. Once the outcasts realized defeat they surrendered and the war was over.
Jacen and Kolin moved back home once the war was over. When he arrived back at his parents hut he learned that his father was killed and his mom was sick. Ileana seems to have been bitten by an unknown animal. She was struck with a disease that made her age more quickly than normal. There was no cure for it as it was unheard of. Or if there was then they would not of been able to afford it. Jacen ended up getting a job at an engineering place in Selptic to help pay for a medicine that could only slow down Ileanas aging.
When the war ended Molabia became a more lawful place. Each day outcasts were made to wait in long lines to enter Selptic because they were now required to carry pass ports. Siven had made a trade alliance with Mimban, Corellia, and Bespin. And once the alliance was made Selptic became a traffic pole. Ships came in day and night, every minute of the day. Siven also built laser cannons along the newly built walls that surrounded Selptic. Laws were made so the only reason outcasts entered there was for work or to go to the Cantina. Anywhere else they would of been killed. So basically the outcasts were slaves since Siven made laws for them not the upper class in Selptic.
During all this Jacens mother began to age more and more. She ended up looking a hundred years old and basically slept all day but maybe five minutes. Jacen was beginning to get into fights with the rich kids his age. A Molabian officer, Malak Linshaw who was very loyal to Siven Lanso cut Jacens hand off during a fight Jacen was in even though the rich kids started it. Jacen was helped by his fellow outcasts so he could pay for a mechanical hand. A few days later once he got his new hand, Jacen heard about a outcast execution while at work in Selptic one day. When he went home to tell Kolin in his grass hut, Malak came in and killed his mom Ileana while she was sleeping. Jacen and Kolin were about to shoot Malak but Malak made them realize when he told them that Molabian officials will kill them the second the walked out.
The next day Jacen, Kolin, and every other outcast was secured to a wall. The entire Molabian army was about to kill them. But just then when Siven was about to give his signal Storm troopers arrived and Siven realized that his whole army was actually working with the empire. Imperial Officials took Siven away. A battle then began between those loyal to Siven and the empire. Somehow Jacens chains broke and a blaster flew into his hands. He then began killing everyone he saw around him shooting. When he found a extra key he unlocked Kolin then ran for an escape. Though it looked as if an imperial official saw what happened as they rescued Kolin and Jacen from Molabia. When Jacen and Kolin arrived on an Imperial base they learned that Molabia had been destroyed by orders of the empire. Jacen and Kolin seeked allegiance in the empire by joining the navy.
