Description:
Physical: Rusty is large, even for a wookiee. He was always pretty tall throughout his life, but the immense bulk of him came mostly from hard work on Kashyyyk with his family, who were the farmers in his home community. Rusty generally doesn't wear any clothes except for his uniform when he has to, however, this is generally a fairly comical sight as the standard uniforms of the Navy do not quite fit his stature and all the seams are bursting with fur.
Posture: Tall and confident, usually to strike a certain amount of intimidation among those around him, he tries to use his size to his advantage. Usually moves with a certain amount of calculated determination and doesn't do anything without a reason.
Quirks: Enjoys his drinks quite a lot (it is his way of suppressing most of his sadness for the loss of his most beloved brother and banishment so many years ago), and spends much of his free time with a drink in his hand. Although this may seem a bit of a problem, he knows his limits. A rather friendly and sometimes rowdy wookiee in social situations, he becomes quite the hermit once outside of those situations and becomes rather reserved and withdrawn. He does have the typical short-fused temper that wookiees are known for and is easily annoyed with people at times.
Pet Peeves: Those who chew with their mouth open.
Emotional description: Laid-back and agreeable in general, but can get a bit rowdy at times. He also has a quick temper and can sometimes get easily annoyed with others, however, those who become his close friends win his unwavering loyalty.
History:
Rustichituk was born to a poor family in a small community on Kashyyyk. He spent most of his childhood being bombarded with statements such as, "Thank the Republic for what you have, you are lucky you have your family, because if it wasnt for the Republic we could all have been slaves"
He was taught to hate the Empire and he basically had those core beliefs most of his childhood, for he knew no better. When he wasnn't being taught to hate the Empire, Rusty was helping his father and his brother Raabakabukk with work around their community. Rusty and Raabakabukk were close and did almost everything together including hunting and Ryyk blade practice (one of the few forms of physical combat that Rusty has really perfected, because of this he goes no where without his two Ryyk blades, which are generally slung across his back). When Rusty was an adolescent a small Rebel outpost was established just outside his community. Things started off well and Rusty spent a lot of his time over there trying to learn as much as he could from the Rebels, listening to their stories and being amazed by all their adventures (whether they were telling him the truth or not never really occurred to him at that stage). Rusty was actually trying to find a way to get off Kashyyyk, and he saw this opportunity in those rebels. However, his brother wanted him to stay at home and help out with their community, Raabakabukk thought that was their responsibility as the future of that community.
Soon arguments broke out between the rebels and Raabakabukk. One night some of the rebels had gotten rather intoxicated and were talking to Rusty, and for the first time, actually sounding like they were going to give him an opportunity with them and ship him off to train as a soldier. Raabakabukk soon lost his temper and got into a heated argument with the rebels. A scuffle soon broke out and Raabakabukk had knocked out a few of the rebels. Out of drunken rage, they shot Raabakabukk for his trouble. When Rusty saw his beloved brother and best friend hit the ground he ran over to him and soon realized that he was no longer living. Sadness, rage, and frustration soon welled up within Rusty. His role models had just gunned down his closest companion. Rusty charged the surprised rebels (who had never expected Rusty, their loyal follower and soon-to-be comrade) and slew 4 of them single-handedly with his claws extended. He arrived home, blood-soaked, carrying his dead brother. The community found out what had happened quickly through the next day. Even after considering the situation, they branded him a madclaw and banished him.
He soon left Kashyyyk aboard a small merchant ship, paying his way by helping load and unload merchandise. Once off Kashyyyk Rusty enlisted in the Imperial Navy. He didnt want to be a soldier anymore, he had lost all motivation and wanted to do exactly the opposite of his previous plans. Rusty started drinking a lot to forget the past and deal with the fact that he was joining just the organization that had enslaved his people long ago. It didnt matter anymore, though, he was just too distraught over Raabakabukk's murder by the Republic to have anything to do with them.
Rusty soon rose through a few positions in the Imperial Navy as part of the Viper Squadron. After a few assignments, though, he retired to take some time to come to terms with the fact that he was choosing the Empire over the Republic. Most of this time was spent piloting smuggling vessels and drinking.
He has recently re-enlisted in the Imperial navy and is currently leader of Flight 2 in the reincarnation of the Aegis Squadron. |
