Aero, though born on Coruscant, never supported the Republic. Back in the Old Republic time, he would never like them. When he (and his friends) would play a fake battle, he was always on the Imperials.
When he left Coruscant at the age of 26, he tried to smuggle some precious items out of Coruscant, but was caught. He was arrested, and put in jail for 2 years.
Though released, he was forced to join the Rebels because of the rising Empire.
During the battle of Hoth, he secretly snuck abaord a Star Destroyer, and handed over the Commander some useful information. At that point, the Commander asked "Who are you? Whoever you are, would you like to join the Empire?" Aero nodded, and replied "Sure". He went through a few days of training, then was finally a proud Stormtrooper.
