Hi Guys and Gals.

This is a new thread to get our new members involved.  Here is the topic:

Since our current mission has us operating under strict procedures, our new members have to wait back at the main base with the Atrus. So what are you each doing while your waiting on us to get back from this mission?

Each of you has been assigned to quarters in our section of the Atrus's flight wing area.  From there, its all up to you.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now to the other members of Nazgul, REMEMBER, we are all on a mission! So if you want to interact with the new guys, you have to do it with a secondary character.

Stuck back inside for yet another day, Tenharien thought it might be a nice idea to get on the good sides of some of his colleagues for once. the previous day had brought a verbal altercation. It didn't escalate much at all but still he left a bad impression, and also what he thought  was a good one. Today however he was energized and ready to do something, anything. He left his quarters with the door open as always and  headed out to an open lobby area of the flight wing section.

There were a few people around and as he walked slowly to get a good look at all of them. He had received a briefing about the mission that he had just missed. His teammates were off on some weird task, well for a navy squad anyway. It was interesting though and Tenharien made a note to brush up on his other skills besides flying. One of those being his shooting. He had just bought some weapons infact. 3 pistols and 3 rifles. Some. There was an R2 unit him and he wondered why in the blue hell it was taking so long. What kind of slow, incompetent freighter pilot would not have the sense to hurry with his delivery? Tenharien calmed himself only by spinning his gun win his hand as he cleaned it with an old Grey rag.

It was a Power 5 Heavy Blaster Pistol nothing much for now. It was small, not too compact but good enough, and most importantly fast. He finished polishing it and placed it on his hip, admiring it from there. He wasn't in full uniform, only wearing his dress down clothes. A hoodie of course and some black pants. He went to sit down and ended up taking his pistol out once more.

I'm ganna write through a different character by the name of Reese Deve: he's a drug addict, lol.  Both he and his sister, both from Nefar, are fighter pilots in "Spectral Squadron."  We'll try and create a little tension maybe and I'll see if I can't make problems for you boys

"Reese!"  Even though he'd seen those blue orbs freeze like this before, he had to stop himself and keep his heart from shattering- she was upset.  The young woman with the long brown hair, the concerned and horrified blue eyes, stood with her mouth agape.

"Sorry, sis- you know I can't help it..."  He couldn't break eye contact with her...  Her head slowly swiveled about, observing the utter mayhem that was the paraphernalia littering the ground, a soft cry perforated the silence as she observed the broken promise- another broken promise.  Reese waited, shifting his weight to his back leg, the sound of metal injectors crunching under his feet, as if at any moment she would lash out and envelope him whole.  But she did nothing, her hair canvasing her face as she brought her eyes back up to meet his own.  Shaking her head, she made a painful gasp before flinging her arms out wide, her fingers splayed as if trying to hold glass walls back- the tears were not in her eyes this time.

"That's it, Reese...  Really- that's it..."  The young man looked confused at first, chuckling softly until she cut him off, pointing a stolid finger in his direction, the cold of her curse freezing his veins- "I can't handle this and as soon as your next stim check comes up- you're going right back home..."  He tried to utter something, anything, but she held up her hand and then seemed to give up entirely.  She continued to mutter about "going home" for a moment, observing the ruins of her brother's room; and then, with the grace of a dancer, her movement was always graceful, she stepped backward and vanished into the hallway, the single light in his room flickering from the effects of some of the drugs and the door left in the open position.  Reese stared after his fighter pilot sister for a moment, his own duty uniform smudged with a substance that had taken him months to acquire...  In his hand, the remains of the drug "Kassoti" shook...  No...  Oh my gosh...  I'm shaking...  How long had he been in the room?  One capsule of an ingestible glitterstim remained on the counter and, on his hip, where his comlink supposedly rested, five capsules of a drug he'd never used before sat caged, their ethereal blue light hypnotizing him every time he checked to make sure they were still there...  No...  He would tell it to himself so that he could wait until the perfect moment to use the drug- he always found that circumstances heightened the use of the illegal substances far more than the narcotic effects themselves...  I gotta get outta here...  They'll find me here with all of this...

He was finally taking in all that he must have been up to, because his other hand was now resting on his forehead, trying to keep his mind from exploding as he counted the crushed capsules, different shades of spice soaking into his bunk and white carpet, fumes from one inhalant drifting to the ceiling.  Checking the chrono he nearly collapsed- he'd been at this for eight hours?  He'd missed drills!  He could see his commander now, the austere gentlemen from that distant planet nobody cared about, the man with one of the worst dispositions for people like Reese he'd ever encountered, the man with the sickest sense of humor.  He was a damned terrorist.  Thoughts were slowly registering as he began to remember where he'd been when using the glitterstim- the mess hall!  Oh, Angelina- I'm sorry!  The one female on the squadron he was pretty sure he had a chance with and he'd probably blown it- the rest of the crew was fairly sure he was bad news, but his sister had stuck up for him...  She'd stuck her neck out for 'em, and...

Closing his eyes briefly, he inhaled deeply, and then again, and again...  Sighing, he reopened the closed lids and took one last glance at the room before swallowing the remaining Kassoti in his right hand, the liquid like glass before it reached his stomach where it exploded into a fireball, the heat spreading into his limbs and nearly making him quake...  I gotta move...

OOC:
Wanna have everyone meet up in the target range?  Don't worry- we won't be depressing- just need to make sure you know the guy is kind of screwed up, lol.

It's All good to me ...

The inside of a TIE Interceptor, small as they are, can be very comfy. All of a sudden a small alarm woke up the still sleeping Girias, lying in the pilots seat. With the sleep still in his eyes he wipes the drewl off of his face, running in a small stream out the right corner of his mouth.

"Damnit ... I should really stop sleeping with my mouth open, makes me look like some kind of weird disgusting person. Now, what the hell is beeping and how do I make it stop ?"

He looks around and sees the screen, displaying the time and a timetable for the day. After wiping his eyes open his fingers fly over the small, hidden display added to his Interceptor.

"Oh crap ... I gotta head over to the Target Range. Why, I don't know why but apparently I'm forced to anyway."

In a quick combination of moves he exits his TIE Interceptor and starts walking. With his hands in his pockets he yawns several times and walks towards the Target Range. While walking he starts checking his gear; knife, pistol, rations, papers containing cheat codes for several video games and papers containing the acces codes of a few other systems.
Entering an elevator for going up to the Target Range, he notices that it's going to other way. While there are other people inside it he quickly grabs one of the papers and steps to the panel. While covering his actions from the other passengers he gives himself admin control over the elevator and turns the elevator around, going the right way. The loud cracking noise and the turning of the elevator made one of the passengers curse.

"Heh, what the heck ?"

One of the other passengers steps forward and looks at the control panel while Girias steps back and starts whistling. The other people start accusing him although he keeps telling them it wasn't him. When the elevator finally came to a halt and Girias stepped out, the doors close and go back, at double speed.

"Now then, what shall I do, besides reporting ofcourse."
He stood there wondering, looking around.

Not once in his life did Krius ever think he’d be working a desk job in the Navy. Not once. From Elite Flight Leader, all the way down to a Recruiting Officer. He hadn’t set foot in a Cockpit in what felt like years, but was only months. Three to be exact. But that was just enough to make any experienced Fighter Pilot go crazy. He didn’t join the Imperial Navy to stamp folders and grade test scores; he joined because he wanted to fly. It was the only thing he was good at besides boxing, and something he couldn’t live without.

Now maybe you’re wondering how Krius ended up in this situation? Maybe you’re thinking: “What could such a handsome Pilot such as Krius be doing behind a desk? What ever happened to Kaph Squadron? Can I marry him?” No, you can’t. He’s actually taken. Now as for the rest of the questions, they can definitely be answered.

If you’re thinking that he requested the desk job and be taken out of Kaph Squadron, you’re wrong. Kaph Squadron was Krius’ family, his brothers and sisters. He loved them as much as he loved his mum, and if it came down to it, he would sacrifice himself in order for them to survive. They had an impenetrable bond that could only be forged through time and hardship. Now if they were that close, what happened? How’d Kaph Squadron get disbanded? Basically, and simply put, there was a change in command, and seeing as Kaph never had a full Squadron and members were always disappearing, they decided to spread out what good Pilots it had left, and hopefully strengthen the other Squadrons. As soon as his Squadron Commander received word of this, he left. His fearless, caring, and honorable Squadron Commander left. And of course, Skylla left with him.

He didn’t leave Kaph in the dark, however. He left them all a note, telling them why he left, and wishing them the best of luck in the Imperial Navy. He also said he might come back, and if he ever did, he’d try and bring what was left of Kaph back together. But the chances of that were very unlikely. As for the rest of the Squadron, Krius didn’t really know what happened. The only former member of Kaph Krius did keep in contact with was C-3, who was now the XO of Viper Squadron. It was kind of hard though to hold a decent conversation with a Robot.

Why wasn’t Krius placed in a Squadron?

This may seem a little bit crazy, and you may not believe it, but he didn’t want to. Yes, you heard right, he didn’t want to. After the break up of Kaph Squadron, his mental state became unstable, and he quickly went into depression. The usual signature smile he had never showed, and in its place, a grim line. If he did smile, it was only because his girl friend, and even then it was rare. As for her, she no longer works aboard the Atrus, and instead works on a land based Naval Facility. This made Krius’ depression even worse, and even if he did want to return to a Squadron, he wouldn’t be cleared to fly.

He soon figured out that the only way to trudge out of this slump was to get back into an active squadron, and maybe, just maybe he’d feel the way he once felt when he was with Kaph Squadron.

****

A scrawny looking man walked through the automatic door, his bushy eyebrows coming together as he snapped a somewhat sloppy salute, holding his hand to his forehead as he waited for some form of recognition. The man before him was buried behind a desk of papers, not seeming to notice the visitor. For another two minutes, the Crewman stood there, feeling slightly stupid and not knowing exactly what to do as he waited for some sign of acknowledgement. The stranger before him looked up from his papers, just noticing that someone had stepped into his room. He nearly flew from his seat, as he to, snapped a crisp salute, relieving the LC.

“Can I help you?” Asked Krius, feeling slightly embarrassed as he scratched the newly formed stubble on his cheeks.

“SCPO Chase?”

He nodded. “Lemme guess, more paperwork?”

“Err, no, sir. I’ve actually come to drop something off for you. I think you’ll be quite excited after reading what this folder contains,” replied the Crewman as he threw the manila colored folder onto the heap of papers that crowded his desk. “Now if you’ll excuse me, I must be off. Hope you enjoy your new Squadron.” The Crewman saluted, turned on his heel, and left the room.

Krius started to open the folder, and then stopped. His head slowly rose, stopping at what would be another person’s eye level. A surge of excitement ran through Krius’ body, and with one huge yell, Krius let it all out. He tore the packet open with renewed energy, read its contents, and let out another yelp.

“I’m going to Nazgul Squadron! I’m finally gonna fly! I’m gonna fly!” Shouted Krius hysterically. “I’m finally gonna fly…” He then broke into tears, his body crumpling to the floor, letting everything pour out.

With no one still not arriving in the lobby area, Tenharien decided to head elsewhere. Now he was annoyed and while he left he didn't exactly give anyone a happy goodbye. Having just missed the next elevator, he cursed it and then tapped his foot, waiting well not that long actually.

"This day is not starting off well at all. A few more days earlier and I would have been able to join the rest of the squad. I was in a hurry too. I never should have stopped to help those bounty hunters. Well... I damn sure wasn't going to give them any money."

"Anyway, I just..."

Tenharien scoffed at the woman laughing at him for thinking out loud in the elevator. Then winking at her, he waved her off and got off on his stop. He was intent on doing something that was boring so he would go on to the target range for some practice. There was a man there just standing and as he passed, Tenharien turned to look him(Lousy) up and down, thinking he had seen him before.

"You need help getting somewhere, chief? Your kinda in the way here. Some of the bigger...wait, what is your name?"

The young pilot shifted his gun more to the back of his hip and then leaned on the wall, waiting for the other man to respond. He swore there was something familiar about him, not that it was important but at least there was someone to talk to now. At least for a little while anyway since he was on his way to the target range and would not let himself be help up for anything. Brushing his hand over his bald head, he cracked his neck and then lower back.

"You just look familiar, or at least like I should be talking to you or... something."

It wasn't exactly common fro Tenharien to wander around aimlessly, but he really didn't have a choice in these past couple of days. It was like some unknown force drove him to both seek boredom and then get away from it. But hopefully that would all end soon. Hopefully.

You boys really don't have to read this if you don't want to- this is more just fun for me: it has no relevant information other than- "Wow- that guy is screwed up."

Reese tried again, but focusing was becoming something of a challenge and he couldn't, for the life of him, figure out how to stand up straight.  Fortunately, he'd found the mess hall before the rest of the Kassoti had really taken effect.  Since several of the fighter groups were out on some mission, the corridors had been pretty silent and the mess hall was, remarkably, empty; however, this didn't keep him from waving eccentrically to anyone he may have passed...  Glancing from wall to wall, the room filled with rectangular, white tables, for his commanding officer, who was slowly becoming more terrifying in the back of his head, he quickly discerned that he was perfectly safe here- not a single person in sight: except for the woman at the food counter.  He sighed, relieved just a little of the tension that would surely return; on his way to the mess hall he'd actually thought of going back to his room to await punishment, but the combination effect of the different spices seemed to have impaired his memory.  He reached the food counter, rubbing the side of his face, as if there were an itch in the center of his mind.

"Kyrf?"  The young girl had surprised him, both with the request as well as with her appearance.  Are we capturing slave girls and making them work on the ships these days?  This girl must be ten!  She'd looked much older from a distance, he thought.  Reese had begun to say something but realized his speech was beginning to slur slightly and, instead, trying to look anything but impaired, waved his arm about and then pointed to his tray- she giggled.  Gripping the yellow fruit, she then placed it on the front corner of his tray, after which she moved to the next station.  At this point, Reese had bothered to take a gander down the rest of the buffet line- no one...  Strange he had thought as he trudged onward- then again, better this little girl than some damned machine...  He'd always hated those food serving droids- they gave him the creeps.  Luckily there was no sign of them anywhere in the back area of kitchen either.

"How about some desarni vegetables?"  Reese came to a rest in front of her and narrowed his eyes slightly-

"Do I look like I need vegetables?"  There was an awkward pause before she finally giggled once more, and Reese, realizing how paranoid he may or may not have sounded, smiled for some reason as well, all the while struggling to keep his words straight- "I wez... Jes..  Pullin yer pigtails, darlin!  Yea!  Gimme some of that green stuff..."  He laughed heartilly, almost hysterically, but the blond didn't seem to mind.  The sound of three pairs of fighter pilot boots entered from the east; he noted out of the corner of his eye that they were none other than Jarem, Dio and Fez- his compatriots in Spectral Squadron.  They would probably be wondering where he'd been!  Reese turned suddenly toward the opposite end of the room, pretending to study the far end of the counter space as the group approached, the young girl moving to the next section of glass containing meat products.

"Breasts, sir?"  He heard the others snicker behind him.  What?  Are we at the academy, again?  Reese managed a nod, lifting his tray to her level so she could reach it with the prongs; after the meat had been placed on the plate he thought he heard one of the men to his right take note of him.  He tried to stay calm and carefully removed himself from the bar so that he could conceal his face, always looking away from the other pilots, and moved quickly to one of the square, red tables.  Sitting down as if his butt had always belonged there, he made double-sure that he was on the furthest end of the mess hall, which seemed to be longer now than when he first walked in.  Satisfied, he turned back to his tray and went to work on the magenta Kyrf fruit, biting in savagely, these were, after all, his final chomps of real food.  Who knew what they served junkies after they were thrown into the prison quarters!  The air recyclers hummed casually as he finished the fruit; he was beginning to feel relaxed.  A little too relaxed for my taste..  What the?  The high was wearing off this quickly?  I knew I shouldn't have trusted that Ithorian- he got me a load of crap!  Dropping the fruit onto the ground instead of the tray, Reese quickly searched the pocket on the inside of his duty uniform; when he couldn't find the capsule immediately, he began to panic, thinking that he would have to use some of his precious blue spice...  Then his hand clasped the glass chassis and, within moments of hearing the other trays slap down on the round table behind him, he'd downed the entirety of the glitterstim...

Within seconds, Reese was feeling much better- ready to take on the galaxy and finish his fine meal of...  Wild oats and chizoo muscles?  What happened to my breasts?  He edged back in his seat a couple of centimeters and pushed his tray forward- he wouldn't be eating anything like that until the prison warden forced it down his throat...

Angelina's alright I suppose, but that Misty, girl- whoa...  Reese's eyebrow drifted upward as he recognized both his secret love's name as well as his own sister's...  He turned to scan the table behind him- the three pilots hadn't appeared to take notice of him and were sitting quietly, munching away on their meals of breasts and buns...  What I wouldn't give to have a night with that woman- long brown hair, those eyes...  Reese's jaw and fists clenched simultaneously, but then, stunned by his own realization, he began to relax: the only mouth movement from any of the pilots was due to eating.  None of them had spoken...  I can hear their thoughts!  I always assumed that was a myth!  I can actually hear their thoughts!  Reese hunkered lowered, shushing himself as he nearly burst out laughing- he didn't want to become hysterical when he'd finally gotten a hold of a real collection of glitterstim!  He listened on.

That commander McEnroy is a real tool, Reese heard one of them say, and then the third member of the trio- I wonder if I can make ensign by the end of the year...  Reese was rather enjoying this now, taking a sip from his drink...  When did I get a drink?  Reese noted out of his peripheral vision that the young girl had disappeared from behind the counter- she had been replaced by those immovable machines...  Immovable...  Reese went to take another sip from the beverage, but dropped the cup as soon as the liquid hit his lips- it was scalding hot!  The styrofoam cup detonated as it met the metallic green floor below, its white substance making a total mess.  Reese was horrified- glancing back once more to the trio, he was surprised to find that none of them had taken notice of the incident...  Poor girl- now she's ganna have to come out and clean this up! He thought this as he looked about for a napkin dispenser, still listening on to the conversation.  As he searched his tray for anything useful, he managed to hear- but her brother is an absolute waste of space...  I dunno if I wanna get involved with that...  Reese froze.  She might be worth the energy, but I dunno if I can handle a screw up like him...  The guy's totally worthless- I bet he cheated his way through the academy...  Reese gradually became more upset with the unrelenting, scathing thoughts of ridicule.  Maybe, if I'm lucky, the kid'll get himself killed in a training sortee...  That was it!

"Like hell I will!"  Reese was on his feet and yelling directly at Jarem: now they knew darn well who they were dealing with!  The trio looked absolutely stunned as Reese went into a fiery rant, the chamber seeking to match his tone with its burning red interior.  "And you'll keep your hands off my sister if you think your life is worth keeping!"  He was on a roll!  Stepping to the edge of the table, he looked for something to grab- the trays!  Tray number one hit the wall and shattered, it's contents raining down as he took hold of the second tray, sliding it with all the force he could muster off the table and into the unknown.  "You hearin me?  I said- ARE YOU HEARING ME?"  The three pilots just stared.  Reese couldn't understand it- he expected some kind of reciprocation, even if it were a fist meant for his face: but nothing...  Stepping back toward the exit, he took note of his destruction- food lay everywhere and various beverages seeped over the purple tiles- what a mess...  I gotta move...  And he was gone.  The messhall, however, remained untouched- Reese had spoken to no one and eaten no food during all of this.

OOC:
Alright- I'll meet you boys at the target range in my text post; these will get less confusing by next time.  Thought I'd experiment with hallucinations...

Alyssa had been laying in her bunk for awhile, She had wondered where Lamel had ran off to. She had been worried about her and perked up when she heard a noise in the hall, Alyssa got up and opened the door after punching the numbers on the keypad only to find a man standing there.

"Who the hell are you and why are you making that noise?" The man takes off the other way mumbling to himself about taking off. Alyssa frowns as she saw something was wrong with the man. She unclipped her comm. unit from her belt and called for security. "This is A-123, I am requesting a security guard to follow a man that is acting in a suspicious manner. I think he might be lost. I repeat Lost." The comm crackled to life.

"10-4, We will have security check it out, Are you alright A-123?" Alyssa nods and speaks again.  "Affirmative, I am alright. A-123 out."

Hearing someone(Tenharien) talk to him, his paranoia made him think it was one of the countless people he owed some money and decided to make a run for it. Running away was one of his best traits anyway. After a quick dash through the corridors, going through several small rooms which formed a maze-like structure he stopped running, take a deep breath and calming .

Walking around, thinking he still has some time to spare and since he has lost his chaser, he decides to walk around the corridors looking for something fun to do. When a droid walked by carrying a plate filled with round fruits he grabs six of them. Although holding six of them at the same times was hard at the beginning, when taking a few munches out of each of them they're smaler and fit perfectly inside his hands.

"Now then, time to remember my juggling days."

He stops for a second, takes a bit to balance himself and starts juggling. It starts a bit hard since it has been a while, yet after a good five minutes he gets the hang again and starts walking forwards, through the corridors. But, all of a sudden he suddenly runs into something and falls down, yelling :

"Hey, watch out where you're walk ... ing."

As he had fallen down, he saw the face of the person he hit and was thinking about her beauty. But, that vision of beauty is only disturbed by the several fruits that fell on his head who were hung in mid-air from the juggling that suddenly stopped.

Krius' heart raced with excitement, reminding him of when he first joined Kaph. That's when Willtconq was SC. Damn those were fun times, thought Krius, frowning slightly. The young pilot knew he couldn't do anything to get his former squadron back, but the thought of it was just to tempting. If the oppurtunity ever did come, he'd surely take it without a doubt. For now though, he'd have to be happy with his new squadron.

As Krius made his way towards the room he'd been assigned, he noted that not many people were strolling about. Usually the Atrus was bustling with activity, but due to the mission his squadron had been assigned as well as others, they were all out doing their jobs. And I should be with them, not stamping and grading recruit papers. Krius closed his hand into a tight ball, his knuckles going paper white. The surge of emotions running through him were endless, and there was only so much he could take.

"Where the hell are my toothpicks?" Krius mumbled aloud, patting his pant legs. He soon found what he was looking for, sticking the thin wooden stick into his mouth and rolling it around with his tounge. For Krius, Toothpicks were like Cigarillos, only a much healthier version. The young Corellian needed his lungs to stay as clean as possible. Good lungs made a solid fighter. In fact, if it wasn't for Krius' extreme conditioning, he wouldn't be half the man he was now. The number of times he'd beaten someone in a fight due to better lungs were endless, and he cherished the fact that his were as good as they were.

Hmmm what is that, blaster fire?

Krius changed his direction, heading towards the sound of the source. Haha, of course, a shooting range. I never knew we had one of those, thought Krius, walking through the open doors and into the range. Only a handful of pilots and officers alike could be seen, but the range seemed like it could fit hundreds of people. Krius didn't doubt if there were two more like this on the Atrus, and now that he knew about it, he'd be coming quite often. He'd never really shot any actual blasters, and the one time he did was in Naval School. If worse came to worse though and he was forced to crash land on a mission, he'd need a lot more experience with one of those.

I have some spare time, and what better things do I have to do? Might as well fire off a couple of rounds.

I want to add a bit of drama, if thats fine

Mel breathed a deep sigh as he headed over to the firing range. "Another day, another bullet, I suppose." he said as he plucked the small blaster rifle from its normal position on Mel's holster. On his way over to the range, Mel saw a scawny, hunched over man sneaking across the corridor. He's seen people like him before. God, not another idiot. He murmered quietly under his breath, in his stuck-up tone. Most old men from Eriadu came across a snobby attitude after a while, especially if they were crafty, much like Mr. Krasznius himself. The man looked lost, and to make himself look like a nice person in front of the nearby crewmen, Mel tried to help the one he labelled "druggy."
You there. Mel confronted, State your name.
Who are you, and what do you want? defended the man.
I am Mel Krasznius. You look lost, and I was wondering if I could help you.
A sneer broke through the man's lips.
If you think I need help, you've got another thing coming!
With a yell, the man tried to punch Mel with his small, yet rapid fists. However, after the rolling of his eyes, Mel was easily able to block the punches with open palms. He then twisted the man's wrist.

Listen here. I don't know your name, and I don't know why you're here. But I know where you'll end up if you try to touch me again. Understand?

The man said nothing, but made a groaning sound and walked away. Typical druggy. Mel stated under his breath, hoping nobody heard his comment. With his hands behind his back, and walking in an organized and formal manner, he made his way to the targeting range.

There was not a large amount of people at the range, but it was a quality of the room which Mel held dear.

Ah, what beauty a silent room holds.

He aimed his blaster at a few targets, but he felt a small tapping on his shoulder. It was the scrawny fellow from a few moments ago.

H-hi. I ap-apoligize for earlier. I was just under pressure, yeah that's all, under pressure. Okay? Will you forgive me, okay?

Mel didn't bother to look at him as he replied, State your name, and maybe you'll stand a chance at sharing the air in this room with me.

Name's Reese. What was your's again?

You can call me Mel. However, I prefer to be called by my call sign. Mellainius.

Reese nodded, and then walked away, back hunched while rubbing his hands together disturbingly.

First- you may ignore Mel's post, not because it's bad, but because Rogue requested that Nazgul pilots currently posting on the other story not post as their usual characters on this one- you need to create a different character for this side mission, Mel; don't be disheartened, however- it should be easy to create one after this post.

Also- I know your characters might not usually act like this, especially yours, Bread, but!  Remember- they're bored.

Lousy tried his best to keep occupied, but, with no commanders to push a pilot into the simulators, there was little to do but wander the halls.  Indeed, it was, in Lousy's mind, like going to the pool on a hot summer day- when asked, one always declined, but if they actually made it to the pool: one could never seem to get back out...  Odd  Lousy had stopped just outside barrier to the firing range, one door to his far left and another directly to his right; he could hear two men speaking-

"Sure I'll show ya...  If ya pay me..."  Lousy paused outside the doorway to hear a slightly older man's voice-

"Hey, I just wanted to know if you could give me some pointers- not a big deal, friend..."

"Friend?"  Lousy couldn't help but smile- he'd arrived just in time to witness a fight- finally, a little action around here...  "Tell ya what..."  There was a pause.  "If you let me have that there comlink..."

"What?  No!  Don't you have one?  I need this!"  Lousy imagined the other pilot shrugging at this, chomping on his gum and reholstering his pistol.  The eavesdropping pilot silently figured the other pilot's chances of giving in based on the tone of his voice- Too nice- he'll give in...  "I can't believe I'm doing this..."  The pilot sighed...  "Alright.  I suppose I can get another one of these- they break all the time you, y'know: I'll just say I dropped it into a trash compactor or somethin..."  Chump.

"Whatcha doin there, tiger?"  Lousy about had a heart attack as he spun in a 360 to face a boy of about nineteen- he caught a glimpse of the brown eyes, but they were quickly swept away by a mop of brown, greasy hair.  He stood in a duty uniform stained and splotched in various places with a green liquid, and his boots were untied, their laces poorly wrapped around one another as if he'd forgotten how to tie them.  Jeese- this guy's in bad shape he thought; the boy swayed slightly.

"You alright, man?"  The brown haired boy continued to sway for a while, his breath coming and going with a gurgly texture; he appeared to struggle to continue standing.  Suddenly, the boy was quiet, his head now drooping, and he discontinued his erratic murmurs and intoxicated behavior- he didn't move an inch.  The muffled speech of the pilots behind the wall in the firing range barely filled the terse silence; what in the...  Lousy pulled his hand away from the wall and then stopped himself a few inches from the boy...  As he convinced himself to push still further, he noticed that he was perspiring and the deepening breaths from moments before had become worse.  The boy's hair dangled in front of his face, his chin lowered to his sternum as Lousy finally made contact.

"AHH AHAHA!"  The boy shrieked and jumped back, falling and rolling to the ground as if something horribly funny had just occurred- he was hysterical.  Lousy, in the meantime, had flown back into the wall, making contact hard with the barrier, totally disorienting him.  When he'd regained some sense of coordination, Lousy checked the area for the crazy one...  That's when he noticed the boy was back up on his feet- and twirling Lousy's blaster...

"Who do you think you are?"  Lousy managed between gasps; he really had hit the wall hard.  The boy's eyes were again canvassed with the long, greasy hair; Lousy took this time to note the ground.  What looked like a comlink holster, lay propped open; tiny vials of blue liquid sat exposed as they hung on for dear life to their leather sheath.  The boy was speaking...

"Have you ever seen those old holomovies where the thugs take over the skyliner?"  Lousy tried to ignore him, as if this would increase his confidence in his own control over the situation; he bent low and retrieved the leather baggy.  "You know- the one where Dert Vanugi saves the day by shooting the lead villain between the eyes?"  Back on his feet, the package in his right hand, he brought his head back up to meet the young boy.  He was spinning Lousy's blaster way too quickly- the safety isn't on!  Jeese!  The blaster whirred away as Lousy sunk back into the wall, well aware that a single misstep in pressure could mean the end of him; the blaster continued to revolve around the boy's finger.  And then, with professional skill, it stopped, the butt of the gun slapping into the palm of his hand.

He wanted to say something as the boy brought the blaster up to level with his head, but he couldn't- it was over before it had ever begun.  Inches from Lousy's forehead, the blaster didn't so much as quiver, the boy's arm perfectly positioned- he couldn't miss...  "Well.  It's ironic really- I never wanted to be the hero..."  Lousy rasped out a few final breaths, looking from the gun back to those dark brown eyes, the boy's head tilting with his so-called "irony," as if he expected the other man to agree.  The finger slowly drew back on the trigger...

"HEY!"  The boy and Lousy both swiveled their heads in the direction of the voice- Bread!  Lousy had met the man only once, but he'd remembered the name well, enough- I knew I recognized that voice...  Beside him was a man a couple years his senior, short blond spikes protruding from his forehead and his surprised demeanor quickly turning analytical, assessing the situation.

"Stay back!"  The boy pedaled in reverse slightly at the appearance of the new arrivals, glancing from them back to Lousy, and then back again.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, buddy...  Calm down...  Just calm it on down..."  The spiky blond was speaking now, gesturing with his hands to lower something- the gun or his temper?  I'm fine with both!  The blond took a tentative step forward...

"I said stay the hell back!"  The boy pulled the trigger without looking.  As his sight blazoned with red and his ear drums screamed, Lousy felt his body clench and his blood turn cold.  Though he'd never closed his eyes and had noted that the bolt had missed by about a foot, he couldn't make any kind of movement.  The smoldering black crater that used to be part of the immaculate white interior to his right only reminded Lousy of what his head could look like in the very near future- he couldn't move.  As the ozone filled the air, Lousy became aware that a gun was no longer pointed in his direction; instead, the boy had swung to direct his aim at the pair to the left.  Just as quickly as the boy had done this, Bread had drawn his own weapon, fully extending his arm and directing his aim to the boy's head.  He said-

"No need for none of that, bud..."  A blaster!  Lousy noticed the butt of the gun just inside the right breast of the boy's flight suit.  There's no way I can get to that...  "Maybe we should all just cool it, eh?  Maybe sit the guns down?"  Bread had closed the distance now with the spiky blond treading lightly in his footsteps; the boy rocked slowly on his two feet, using his unoccupied hand to brush the long hair out of his eyes; his face looked grim for a moment...  And then he began to smile.

"Don't do anything courageous, now."  The blond said.  The boy, reassessing the situation, appeared to think himself outnumbered...  As the gun in the boy's left hand dropped to the "surrender" position, the weapon balancing on the ring surrounding the trigger, Bread almost had it, the sudden move nearly activating his now itchy trigger finger.  "That's good," the blond said, getting ready to say something else, but now the boy was laughing.  He slowly handed his weapon to Lousy, the pilot taking the weapon very, very slowly, as if it could detonate at any moment.  Now, the blue capsules in his right hand and the gun in his left, the boy was defenseless, seemingly depraved and...  Laughing hysterically...

Lousy was still quiet as Bread explained- "In the name of the dead Empire- what in the hell were you thinking, man?  Hey, you listenin to me?"  But the boy continued to laugh.

"FREEZE!"  All but the boy turned to look- four imperial stormtroopers had appeared, their phantom like exteriors freezing the group; none of them had managed to deal with the shock of the situation just yet, so their arms remained at their sides, Bread's arm still extended threateningly to the boy.  The stormtrooper repeated-

"Put down the weapons or you will be fired upon!"  The trio of pilots were having a difficult time complying, however, as the boy had begun to mumble something again...  First-

"My sister is ganna kill me for this one..."  But his voice began to grow louder, his words and tone transforming- "No...  No...  No!  Please!  Just don't shoot me!  I won't report you!"  The stormtrooper had quieted, but the four phantoms remained vigilant.  Instead of repeating himself, the stormtrooper queried-

"What's the meaning of all of this?"  The pilots were still stunned- the blond stammered...

"Uhh..."

"They've got drugs!"  The boy was speaking again!  Screaming, rather- he appeared terrified; he'd shrunken back, almost crouching, as if he'd been threatened with his life.  Lousy still wasn't processing as the stormtrooper began to address him-

"Pilot!  If you've been threatening this boy so that he'll keep quiet about your drug affairs, it can only get worse if you don't put your weapon away...  Put down the weapons!"  Lousy looked from the featureless face of the trooper to the leather bound package in his right hand, and finally to the gun in his left.  How had this happened?  "Pilot!"

The boy was still muttering about the drugs when the blond took notice of his left hand; his right arm was raised protectively, but his left was hidden from the view of the troopers; it was looking for something in his duty uniform.  Bread and Lousy continued to stare in astonishment at the troopers as the lead phantom shouted once more- "Pilot!"

"Watch OUT!"  The boy's hand had found the weapon and had begun to withdraw it, his arm just beginning to extend; the blond, however, had suddenly remembered that he'd just been at a shooting range.  Withdrawing his own weapon, a little too eager to get a shot off, he pulled the trigger in rapid succession.  The boy dropped to the ground as the bolts shot past harmlessly; they met their marks on the opposite end of the hallways, though- the end with the stormtroopers.

"COVER!"  The leader crouched as the corridor began to fill with smoke, the acrid smell awakening Lousy's senses as bolts began to fly his direction.

"C'mon!"  Bread grabbed a fistful of Lousy's uniform and tugged him away from the wall as a volley of fire turned the metal to dented carbon.  No longer thinking, Bread shot randomly into the hallway, hoping not to hit any of the troopers, as the blond dropped a few of his own horribly placed shots, many of them going into the ceiling; the trio was terrified, disoriented, and totally guilty of not only possessing drugs and threatening a pilot, but they'd just attacked a group of stormtroopers.  They had no choice- they had to run...

OOC:
Hopefully, you boys caught all of that?  Essentially- you guys look really, really guilty, and it looks like you just fired on stormtroopers: you're screwed!  The bright side is that you have each other!  Now, gentlemen, if I were you- I'd run.  Don't go getting out of the situation, either- I'll do that for ya, but run and, whatever you do, don't kill anybody.  Set those blasters to stun.  Also, for the sake of making this more interesting, those drugs that Lousy is currently holding on to- it's called "Booster Blue."  Essentially, it's a spice variant that radically increases reaction time- something that could be useful in a fight?  But how do you guys know what it is so that you might use it?  Well- any of you have any links to smuggling?  You might take a gander at each other's bios to see who has a link to smuggling- have that person identify the drugs.

In the meantime- you need to get somewhere safe.  After that?  I dunno- what would you guys do to try and prove your innocence?  Note that, whatever you guys decide to try and do, I'll settle it by the end of the story.  Whatever you do- don't be afraid to screw up: post!  Even if you think you're going to screw up the entire thing, post!  You must learn to be confident and post- show me some guts, here, gentlemen.  Lamel and other Nazguls- if you wanna include yourselves on this: you certainly still can!  And quite creatively.  You might assist these escapees...  Or hunt them!  Above all- have fun: hopefully this isn't too complicated.  Shall we rock?

Running together with Bread, Lousy quickly scanned the corridors for possible, safer spots. Finding one behind two pillars he pushes Bread behind the left one and gets to behind the right one. Still holding his blaster looked at the thing, the small thing that causes a load of problems. Quickly scanning it with his eyes he finds the switch, turns it and turns on the stun option.

"Bread, set it to stun mode. We'll fight, and then decide what to do later on."

Placing his hand to the left of the pillar he fires a few shots in the general direction of the Storm Troopers. He isn't exactly trying to hit them, but for now bringing them to a halt is more important. When returning to behind the pillar he suddenly notices something in his left hand. Upon discovering it, he starts whispering his words.

"What the ... so That's why they thought I was a junkie. It sure looks all drug like, time for a good drug analysing."

Observing the drugs he remembers the one time he had hacked into a medical database and observed drugs, mostly for how much they're worth on the regular and black market. All of a sudden, he sees the picture of the drugs but he can't post a picture to it.

"Damn my crappy memory. Come on Girias, think!"

Pumping himself up he closes his eyes and almost forces the information out. The page flashes before his eyes but most of the text is blurred, due to lack of careful reading. Yet, a few of the words are unblurred which he says out loud for no apparent reason other than that maybe it helps a bit.

"Euhm ... Something something Blue, goes for a ton of Imperial Credits, is known for its distinct blue colour, boosts ... boosts ... Reaction, that's it. Thank you, oh something up there helping me."

No way for him to check the quality of the drugs so he quickly takes one of them, hoping for the best. The slight bitter taste annoys him a lot, because his sweet tooth had always been the size of an Elephants Tusk. After waiting a few minutes and shooting at the Storm Troopers again, the drug has started to take effect and makes moving a lot easier. Most of the pills he puts inside his breast pocket and throws one towards Bread.

"Here, it's the drug we're accused of smuggling. Take it, it'll increase your fighting ability."

After throwing the pill and the quick words out there he moves to the center of the corridor and fires off a quick set of shots and heads back as soon as the Storm Troopers are able to return fire. Of all the shots he had fired until just now, he had taken down 3 Storm Troopers, while both of them still have no wounds.

"Hey Bread, isn't it kind of pathetic that us, pilots, can shoot better than Storm Troopers ?"

"Hey...HEY! What the hell man?! Where are you going?"

Tenharien flinched almost as the man ran away. He was not expecting that reaction at all. He jogged after him for a second but then scoffed as he lost him, but still looking. Though, he soon gave up and headed back on track towards the shooting range. He would find out who the man was soon enough. It was actually kind of funny when he thought back on it.

"Damn. I'm not that mean looking am I? Well whatever, I guess i will just see that guy whenever. He looked suspicious though. Standing in the middle of the hallway and then taking off."

He was almost to the shooting range now and he started to wonder if there would be any other weapons there for him to test out. He only had one with him and it hadn't occurred that he may have not had clearance for certain weapons. When he got there, right away there was some commotion. A loud voice boomed in front of him and he looked around confused, but not surprised to see the man from earlier in the hall.

"What are you so paranoid for? Put that thing away!"

But it was too late, and Lousy had shot off his weapon, hitting a mark behind his target. Tenharien was forced to draw, not knowing how the two would retaliate. He had a feelign about this man anyway and so he stood firm with his blaster drawn. he switched it to stun indefinitely and  frown, hoping he would not get in trouble before he even got to fly with his team.

"Look what you all have gotten me into. Oh well, it's more fun than going over that long *** flight manual for the 50th time."

"Don't do anything courageous you say? No no, that's not me. More like...hasty. I don't get it though," Tenharien said as he focused on the two men before him. "What exactly is the point of all this? What do you say we just all move on, eh?"

When the storm trooper appeared, ten admitted he was impressed by their invocation, however he was still confused as to why he was even in this situation. It seemed like everyone he talked to ended up having words with him.

"Pilot? We have names. Call sign, Gingerbreadm--" But before Tenharien got to finish and introduce himself and the Gingerbread man, as he hoped he finally would, he was cut off. "Moron!" Tenharien grabbed the boy and tugged him along as he jumped to safety, not knowing what they were really into.

"Do you not know what a Storm trooper is?! Huh? This is just insane man."

Tenharien took one shot, aiming away from the troopers to back them off a bit and then cleared some space for them to run away.

"This is ridiculous, i've never taken drugs in my life. Get that crap away from me, got it. I'm not touching that stuff. The only thing I need to improve my flight ability is this right here." Tenharien pointed to his head with the barrel of his gun and then looked away from the pill and back towards the troopers who were mostly likely getting reinforcements.

"And you don't need them either. What flight squad are you in anyway?" Lousy actually dropped a few storm troopers and at that moment, he began to pray. "Assaulting officers. I don't know about their shooting but I tell you if you have pills for getting us out of getting Court-Marshalled that would help right about now! Ugh, and it had to be on my birthday."

"Heh Bread, I'll be your drugs dealer for the day. Now then, lets finish this laser bolt filled discussion."

Stepping away from his cover he fires at the Storm Troopers and after just a few well aimed shots by both Lousy and Ginger they all fall down, stunned. A sneeze later and he holsters his Blaster and steps toward Bread.

"So ... speaking of not getting courtmarshalled, our best bet would be to find that little brat, kick his scrawny little ass and report him to our commanding officers. What do you think ?"

After asking it, he looked at Bread but before he could answer he heard something. Stepping closer and closer to the source he finds himself near the Storm Troopers radio. Picking it up he listens and, mimicking the leader of the patrol, asks for clear directions towards where the little kid had run to. A small plan later to buy the two some time and he finds himself unholstering his Blaster and yelling into the radio:

"Help, we need back-up. *He fires a few shots with his blaster into the air*. we're being shot at ... Quickly ... We're in the main hangar. Hurr- AARGH"

Dropping the radio he looks at it and starts running to the place where the Storm Troopers had seen the little pilot.

"My little stunt should buy us some time, any ideas for the moment though, bread ? Oh, and Happy Birthday to you."

"Sith spit! Why'd I even bother shooting!" Krius shouted to himself, cringing as blaster bolts pounded into the overturned table he had taken cover behind. Krius knew he had to move fast, he needed to find a way out of this place without getting blown apart. Krius quickly took a peek over the table, noting that three Storm Troopers had been cut down by blaster fire. It was now or never, and he had to move. Sighting the two other pilots, Krius bolted over to their location, vaulting over tables and ducking blaster fire. "Hey! We're getting the hell out of here right now!" Krius shouted as he grabbed both of the pilots by their shirts, promptly dragging them halfway to the entrance.

One of them, his name Bread from what he heard earlier, shook from Krius' grasp. "Who do you think you are? Don't tell me what to do you good fo-"

Krius grabbed the mans throat and slammed him into the Dura Steel wall. "We're in this together, you either like it or you don't. Now if we plan on getting out of this, we're sticking together, got it?"

For a second, Bread struggled, trying to swing back at Krius, but he was just to strong. When Krius felt that the man was calm enough, he released his grasp. "Whatever, lets go."

Bread broke out into a mad dash, Krius and Lousy following closely on his heels. Up ahead a hallway ran across the one they were in, giving them three different ways to run. Krius noted that someone else had joind the trio and that he was assisting with the fight. Just as they were about to hit the intersection, a group of Storm Troopers turned the corner.

Sith Spit.

Krius lowered his shoulder just as he ran into them, sending one of the unsuspecting Storm Troopers hurtling through the air. Bread and the other two pilots had been quick enough to stun three of the troopers, leaving only one standing. This one however wasn't going down without a fight. The trooper brought his E-11 up to eye level, aiming at the strange looking Zabrak.

Krius would have none of this.

Pumping his legs as hard as he could, Krius hurtled towards the trooper like a speeding commet. Just as the stormie noticed Krius coming, it was to late. With cat like speed, Krius jumped into the air, bringing his body horizontally over the metal deck below. He tucked into a ball, and with all his power, exploded outwards with his legs, nailing the trooper dead in the chest, sending a second trooper hurtling through the air, along with two foot shaped dents in his armor.

"WOOO! THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!" Roared an enraged Krius. "Did you guys see that?" Krius asked excitedly, turning towards the three pilots behind him. When they didn't say anything, he resumed his composure, feeling slightly stupid. "So which way you guys wanna go? Straight? To the left? Right? Either way they're gonna catch up to us sometime."

"I say we go left," spoke the Zabrak.

The other two nodded in agreement. "Alright, left it is then. By the way everyone, the names Krius. Just thought I'd introduce myself  to my new jail buddies."

"The names Lousy here."

"And you can just call me GingerBreadMan."

"Right. Then lets go shall we? I think I hear some footsteps."

And with that the small group of "Rebel" pilots sprinted into the unknown.

Just like to say that what I've seen so far is pretty awesome. Like Shaz said, if the current Nazguls want to join in on this one with a different character or somehting, that's ok with me, as long as you're focusing the majority of your effort on the S&R story. Keep that in mind.

To our new guys - I've only skimmed, but I definitely like that work I've seen so far, although in some cases i'd like to see longer posts and i want to remind you that I want to see word counts at the bottoms of your post (use MS word or something like that.) This only helps to give me an idea of how much you can write at a time.

Shaz - thanks for posting on this story with them :P

OOC:
My pleasure, Trevor.

But back to the story folks- you've done pretty well, thus far: I'm impressed by the quick replies.  A danger exist, however, with those quick replies- as was noted on the Nazgul thread, you have to be careful that you're not posting at the same time as another person- or it can become messy rather quickly...  Thus, as some of your squadron mates and others have suggested, posting a "tag," or quick message saying that you're currently in the process of posting on the story thread, can greatly reduce those type of problems. Then, all you have to do is click the edit button (pen and paper icon) in the upper-right hand corner of your post, after you've posted of course, and you can edit that post to your heart's content.  Just make sure that, after you put up a tag, you actually post; if you run out of time, just post up what you have completed so that your work isn't totally for nothing, lol.

Also, since I'm ganna be gone for a couple of days, this story is going to be up to you three for the most part, which is where I'd like it anyway- this story is about your characters, after all.  While you've done well posting, I do have one comment that I think may be able to help you out; Trevor has given you his analysis based on what he expects out of his squadron members, I'm going to give you a comment to help you post better with one another in general.  Since this is such a fast paced story, and you guys are starting to get that phenomenon we call "post-bouncing" off of one another, it can become easy to lose yourself in "time."  What I'm referring to is when one person starts a post that takes place before the content of the other members' posts (ex. one person starts the story before the explosion while everyone else creates posts after the explosion).  Why is that a problem?  Well- one person is writing the future while another is writing the past, lol: that's difficult to do unless those people are writing in totally different areas of a story- you guys aren't, though.  At some point, you guys'll be able to fly in and out of time like pros, but right now you should really try and keep posting in succession with one another- one event happening right after another, in other words.  If any of you are kind of lost right now- it might be helpful for someone to recap what's happened so far and describe what is happening currently; that way, everyone can get back up to speed.

One final comment!  A really easy way to avoid problems in "timing": repeat exactly what other characters say from post to post; that dialog should be exact.  If Bread says "He shot me!" in his post, but Lousy comes back and says "The bastard shot me!" in his post- it's like playing telephone: eventually the message gets kind of scrambled and no one is really sure of what really was said.  But that all links back to timing, because, if you change the words enough, one person might assume that he's saying something at a different point in time, whereas, in reality, the author just paraphrased what was said.  In short- avoid problems by copying and pasting exactly what is said- you'll save yourselves a lot of confusion.  If you find any of our explanations to be confusing or you don't quite get what's going on- post anyway and drop us a message through message center about it: we will reply.  Otherwise- that's all I have to say!  The story is all yours: everyone has done pretty well and I'm glad that everyone took a chance after such a complex post: very well, done.  As always, have some fun with your circumstances and keep rockin.

"Alright. Just let me think for a second. You may be right. Whoever that guy is we should probably find him and find out what this is all about. Besides the drugs I mean. and you. You need to settle down, eh? I'm not exactly proud of what were doing right now."

Tenharien scoffed and then chuckled to himself as he tried to figure out what would be happening to them. He actually hadn't done a thing and the thought of giving up crossed his mind as well. It was just annoying. He didn't really know these men at all. But also he found himself  being tested and so it wasn't too bad.

"I guess we will be off then."

Tenharien dragged himself to run with the others for now but still thinking of what might happen next. It was obvious that the troopers would be coming a little bit harder than before. "Oh yeah, Krius touch me without permission again and I'll break your ****** hands got it?"

Holding his blaster tight he immediately began to watch his other "partners," for now. The footsteps got softer and further away. It seemed they would get some time to think or at least rest, but he knew it wouldn't be too long.

"So Lousy? Do you know anything about the guy were supposed to be looking for. I don't want this drawn out any longer than we have to. I'd prefer to do it as fast as we can."

"To be really honesst with you two, I have no idea where in Exar-Kun's name we could find him, nor do I know anything about the little runt except that he tried to kill me and has framed us both for smuggling narcotics on board."

While running he looks around, looking for some way to tap into the ship security systems and observe the little Gizka. Coming to a sudden halt, he runs back and yells for the rest to stop as well. While sticking close to the wall he looks inside a room and sees nothing more than a few computers and other security systems. He yells for the others to stop and, coördinated with the other two, they go inside and ambush the 3 Communication Officers sitting inside, observing the comm lines. The three sneak inside by staying behind the three Officers and with a quick Pistolhandle to the head all three of them fall down, out of the way. Sitting down his left hand starts typing in codes while his right one grabs the head set off of one of the comm officers. Several programs flash up and get closed in a jiffy, while the two others can barely understand or even follow the programs jumping up on the screen.

"So, judging from the state the Storm Troopers are in it would mean that they have bought my joke and most of them are now headed towards the hangar, but the Storm Troopers also managed to report in that it's pilots they're looking for, and I think they'll remember our sign, the Nazgul sign. Bad sign ofcourse but I also have good news. By comparing the life sign scanners to the sensor readings of the Comm. Link codes I've found something nifty. You see, Storm Troopers and all Officers have an official Comm. Link that broadcasts a signal to the Main Frame. These codes are just a normal registered Production Number that's different for each Comm. Link. Anyhoo, I've located a small room where there are active computer terminals bu there aren't any codes being broadcasted. That would be my best bet to try. Any objections ? If not, then lets go."

Looking at the two he smiled with a grin reaching from ear to ear, making the Zabrakian seem pretty happy although he's currently being chased by all the active Storm Trooper soldiers. And, with his eyes closed, he enjoyed the admiration of the two. Or so he would think, being admired for his knowledge is a Nerd's true dream.

Although his vision of their faces was a bit different he doesn't stop smiling and gets up. While standing up he looks at the map on the screen and tries to remember it as best as possible.

"Well then, I see you're not as surprised as I thought, so ... lets get going shall we ?"

Walking towards the two he reaches inside his breast pocket and takes one of the pills out, hands it to Krius and opens the door. But when stepping outside a blaster bolt was fired upon him. Quickly stepping back he dodges it, grabs his blaster and fires at the shooter. Because of the danger he's shooting with his arm outside of the room but without looking. By shooting blindly, hitting the opponent is a bit hard but all of a sudden he hears a load screech of pain and a loud falling down sound. Being more cautiously this time he steps outside, looking around and finds out he's the only attacker this time. When walking towards him he looks down on him, disarms him and looks at him.

"I don't know who this person is, but I'm pretty damn sure he isn't an officer on this ship."

Bending down to take a closer look at him he doesn't find any squadron signs, although he does see a small brown piece of paper sticking out of his breast pocket. Removing it it appears it's a small brown bag filled with some small capsules. Opening it, there are some small dark brown pills inside of it.

"Hmmm, I know this stuff. It's Psycho, a very heavy narcotic that enables a person's body to withstand severe fysical damage and also makes a person very, and I mean Very, violent. Hmm ... this stuff alone could pay for that lovely new cpu I've been looking at ..."

Slipping it inside his breast pocket he gets back up and starts moving. After telling the others to hurry up he starts running at a decent and maintainable speed towards the destination, the small room.

Feeling quite tired, Tenharien stretched and then slowed down. What with his brain going in so many directions and trying to figure out what he should have been doing, he felt annoyed with himself for his decisions.

Lousy, began to run towards a small room and as they got closer, Tenharien stopped again and sighed as he put his gun away.

"At this point i'm not really concerned about Psycho drugs or whatever it is you have there. I was supposed to be practicing my shooting in the range and wasting time. But... instead i'm out here not knowing what my next move will be. I should just go back to my room... no, but now I'm pissed off and it'll only take a few minutes for me to punch someone in the mouth. So i'f you can come up with any ideas to bring this...guy whatever his name is, out to us so we can get our hands on him, please do so quickly."

He looked around the room and leaned his back against the wall look up to the ceiling while h rested.

"So you guys know any ladies around here. And I mean good looking ladies. Last time I asked the some question, some lonely drake pointed me blindly into the way of a hideous hose beast. She almost swallowed me whole. It was not fun let me tell you."

Tenharien laughed and then looked down as he wondered what the others had thought of by way of a plan and also if they were as clueless as him at this point. He studied the faces of those who were there with him and figured that he may as well get to know them better to some degree, or at least try.

"Where you guys all from anyway? What squads are you in? I'm Nazgul 6, Flight 2. Graduated not a few days ago actually. Benn stuck in that damn room ever since. I'll have to say this is some change from studying the 'omega starburst,'."

Alright- good start gentlemen.  And I like where Bread is goin- this is, after all, character development.  All I did was set you on the beaten path, but you can make some interesting reading with dialogue, flashbacks or whatever other literary tools you might have on hand.  What I also like about that is that you're shifting the focus from the whole, crazy drug scheme and going back to your characters- that shows control.  So what are my suggestions?  Keep talking about yourselves and eachother- take a look at one another's bios.  You can find Bread's bio here and Lousy's bio here.  Note, Lousy, that we need to get your wiki profile set up with the correct format- if you jump on IRC and ask anyone in the Navy about it- they'll be able to set ya straight; or ask for further assistance on your training thread; either will get you the results you're looking for.  Also, I know for a fact that another person will be posting on this thread with you, his name is Than Sion.  Than- do what ya wanna do, but keep these boys in mind; character development, after all.  Oh, and just because we're kind of off on our little side mission here, don't forget to report to your FL's, SC and XO this week (usually it's just the FL, but you might want to send 'em to your SC and XO as well for now.  If they tell you otherwise, then you'll know.)  Other than that- alright

Half a year ago he left the Atrus with crushed moral and a great feeling of contempt.  For his entire career in the Navy he had only known one squadron.  Those that he served within that squadron were his brothers and sisters.  They became more important to him than his dead, blood family ever was.  At one point he was appointed commander of said squadron.  He had worked so hard to keep them in peak fighting condition, to keep their wills alive.  Then, in the after math of the Hast Shipyard invasion, he received a large vanilla envelope.  They were orders from the higher ups, Kaph was to be disbanded.  It took a minute to sink in, but when it did there was fire in his chocolate eyes.  He crumpled up the paper and chucked it at the bulkhead with all his might.  There was a packet also within the envelope, it contained his transfer orders.  He let out a cold chuckle.

“They break up my family and smash everything I worked so hard to build,” said the SC.  “So now they think I’m just going to go quietly and do exactly what I’ve been told... I have other ideas.”

With great determination, he dropped down in front of his computer and opened up a word processor.  With extraordinary speed, his fingers flew over the keyboard.  The anger slowly left his eyes to be replaced with a look of remorse.  He wanted to cry, yet he wouldn’t give them that.  For such a long time that squadron was one of the two things that he really only loved and now it was gone.  Through so many combat engagements they fought, yet it was high command, not the enemy, who finally destroyed it.  Half way through the process of creating his document, a woman with dark hair and vivid green eyes entered his office.

“I’m not going to pretend I don’t know what you’re doing,” said the attractive woman.

“I’m done with it, Skylla,” stated the man.  “I’m not going to fight anymore for men who slap me in the face.”  He looked up at her.  “I’m not going to risk my life for those bastards anymore.  You can leave with me or stay here and keep taking their abuse.”

Skylla held up a printed document.  “I’m already done, you’re too slow,” she said.

“It’s times like these that remind me why I fell in love with you.”

“We’ve been there for each other though thick and thin, why do you think I’d stop it now?”

So together they stormed into Line Captain Shazam’s office and plopped their pretty packets down on his desk.  Shaz didn’t even glance at the documents, he didn’t need to.

“I just want you to know before I go that I don’t blame you for what happened,” said the former SC.  “I just can’t stick around after what they did.  Goodbye, Shaz.”  With that he head for the door.

“Never goodbye, Thaan,” replied the Line Captain.  “It’s always see you again.  I’ll be here when you come back.”

Sion stopped and turned around to face Shaz with an empty smile.  “I’m not coming back.”

Hand in hand, Skylla and Thaan walked out of the wing commander’s office and out of naval life.
***

Here he was again, six months later, in the same itchy, grey uniform.  He was on the same ship, in the same office, facing the same man, next to the same woman.

“I knew you’d be back, Thaan,” said the Line Captain.  “It’s in your blood.”  Shaz took Sion’s signed stack of papers.  Once again, the Navy owned him.  The WC handed him a temporary id.  “Feel free to drift around the ship within reason while I figure out what to do with you.”

(OCC:  Thought I’d take a post to show the situation my character is in.  I’ll get in on the action in my next one.  As for the theme of hate, it’s all character development.  I don’t want anyone to attach it to my resignation in RL.  Next person who posts, feel free to write me into it at the very end.  Have me bump into you guys or something.  I’ll work off of that from there.  Sorry it took so long if anyone was waiting on me, just getting back into this again.  Oh yeah... 630 words, fearless leader :P)

"Nazgul 12, Flight 3. Although I've been in here for a bit but I've yet to meet any of the other pilots, kind of a coincidence that we're all in Nazgul. Pretty freaky right ?"

Smiling at the others he quickly comes to a halt, slides down a ladder and comes down with a small metally sound of his boots hitting the metal floor. When everyone's down he suddenly grabs the collars of their uniforms and pulls them back against the wall. With a finger on his lips he notes for the others to be quiet as he points to his ear directing to the sound of boots marching on the floor. When the sound finally dies the group continues their journey.

"Sorry 'bout that, I just thought that we should avoid a fight if we can manage to. I don't feel like continuously shooting people. I don't really like violence all that much, although I do know it is needed in some cases ..."

Looking a bit sad he stares in front of him, running down an especially long corridor and remembers something from his past, the day he lost his friends, the day pirates attacked their home town and killed most of the town, including his two only friends:

While the pirates besieged the town, their cannon fired killed the girl, she was a very nice caring person who would sacrifice anything for her brother and friends. Her brother went mad from anger, fear and misery. The very minute the pirates landed he started fighting, killing. Yet, in the end he got shot in the head by the pirate leader. The few seconds it took his lifeless body to fall down took ages for the young, now friendless, Girias.  He let himself get captured by the pirates, his body wouldn't move due to the shock of losing both his only friends in only a matter of hours. Being the computer and technical wizard he has always been, hacking his way out of the jail cell took him just a few seconds, the same amount of time it took for 'him' to fall down. Grabbing a simple knife and a pistol he started sneaking throughout the ship. Disabling the communication made killing each and every pirate easier. In the end when he got to the command deck he shot the commander in his legs and arms and crucified him to the wall with 4 knives gottem from the fallen pirates. He piled the countless bodies of his men at his feet and used it as a stepladder to get close to his face. He grabbed several belts from the dead pirates, strapped one end around a 2 pound, stuck a knife in the wall and threw the weight over the knife and bound the belt around his neck and put a piece of the belt inside his mouth. After telling him that he'll live as long as he can keep that small 2 pound weight in the air he walks away. When he was just about to exit the room he turned around, grabbed the blaster and shot him in the head. Vengeance, at last. Or atleast, that was what he though. The self destruct had activated with the commanders death so he ran to the escape pods. After a short yet speedy run he had escaped the self destructing ship in an escape pod and landed back in his home town. They had already buried most of the dead and when visiting the graves of his best friends he looked at the simple make-shift graves and cross and started crying ...

Suddenly he escaped from his memory and rubbed away some tears in his eyes, pointing his arm in the direction they needed to head next, on demand from Bread. Running after his own finger, the three still hadn't found the room yet when all of a sudden Girias wasn't paying attention he ran into someone. Cursing he looks up and sees someone in a pilot suit, grabbing his blaster he points it towards the man his  stomach, yells for him to stick his hands up the air and tell them his name.

"Nazgul 12 huh? That's interesting. Coincidence though? Hmm maybe. No, probably definitely. Probably definitely? Ugh, listen to me, dumber by the minute. And neither of you answered my question! Hello, the ladies?!"

"Yo, stop touching...?"

As Tenharien snarled at the sight of Lousy's hands on his clothes, pulling him out of the way, he shut his mouth in curiosity and listened to the sound of inline marching. It was an annoying sound. He was glad that he didn't have to do much of it in the Nazgul squadron.

"Haha, you avoiding violence, now thats funny. Not judging really, but after what we went through it's almost like it doesn't matter. Though haha what's even more funny is that your right."

As they ran on, Tenharien noticed the silence in Lousy for once and then squinted, wondering what was going through his head at the moment. He shook off the feeling and stopped as they came to and end of a corridor and then stopped himself, slapping himself in the face as Lousy had taken his pistol out again to threaten another officer.

"My god does our luck never end. We don't even know who this guy is! Maybe I should start wearing a mask."

As the officer, whoever he was, lifted his arms, Tenharien nodded to him and then shrugged.

"Listen junior, it's all good see. We just kind of are in a hurry. No one here is going to hurt you, were not stow aways, bandits or whatever else is going through your head. We are pilots and things this afternoon have escalated to the point where we need to get what we need to prove our undeniable innocence and get this hasty nonsense over with as quickly as possible, you understand. So just listen, play along if anyone asks you anything and maybe someday we will all have lunch and laugh about this. **** I got nothing but patience right now, so don't try me....Not that i'd hurt you anyway...heh."

Tenharien took a deep breath and then leaned on the wall with his arms crossed.

"Anybody know this guy? Please tell me if i'm wasting my breath. I mean it's not like I wanna do this all day or anything."

Tenharien wondered if they could have just let the guy walk on by. But Lousy had been quick on his reaction and probably didn’t think to much about it. A good quality in a pilot… at times. At least they were in control for once though, that felt reassuring. As long as this guy didn’t open his mouth and say he was their flight leader it was all good.
He started at the guys chin, hoping no bad news would come from his mouth. He was hesitant and felt like being a little nicer at the moment, though, this was not a good day by any means. Truthfully he could taste the punishment in his mouth. Right at about the back of his tongue. It was familiar, a bitter taste and he pressed his tongue to the roof of his mouth as he waited for the next move. Hopefully it would be a smart one.

“The name is Ensign Thaan Sion, former Commander of Kaph Squadron.”  There was a glint of pride in his eyes as he said the last part.  “As for ladies, are we talking about pretty ones... like the one standing right behind the Zabrak?”

“I wouldn’t move if I were you,” said the dark haired woman after sticking the business end of a DL-44 on the back of Girias’ head.

“One twitch of my finger and your buddy learns what it’s like to...” began Lousy before he was abruptly cut off by the temper of a lady.

“You hurt my man and you’ll learn a whole new meaning to pain,” promised the green eyed woman.

“I wouldn’t mess with that chick,” recommended Krius, who had been awe stricken ever since the group ran into the mysterious officer.  “She’s handed Storm Troopers their asses in the past.”

“You know these people?” asked the bald guy.  “Why didn’t you answer when I asked the first time?”

“I wasn’t sure if it was the drugs doing weird things to my head,” replied Krius.  “I didn’t believe that Thaan was ever going to come back after what happened to Kaph.”

“Oh I’m so proud of you, Krius,” said Sion sarcastically.  “I leave you to yourself for only six months and you’re already getting doped up on drugs!”

“I never saw them before today, I swear,” said Krius.  He then pointed at Girias and Bread accusingly.  “They made me do it!”

“Likely story, I thought I taught you better,” scolded the former SC.  “So you guys are the reason the Stormies are running around like chickens with their heads cut off.  So how did my former Flight Leader get you all into this mess?”

“He didn’t, some druggie did,” replied Tenharien.  “We got into this pickle because we were in the wrong place at the wrong time.  This is all just a big misunderstanding.  We’ll straighten everything out in the end.  So please, just go along with it.”

“You guys have really been showing up security on the Atrus, haven’t you?” asked the messy haired officer.

“Something like that,” replied Lousy who was still pointing in the general direction of Sion’s abdomen but seemed to be aiming a bit too low just to spite the woman pointing the gun at his head.  “Those troopers should probably go back to BT.”

“So basically your being a big embarrassment for the captain of this ship,” stated Sion, a grin passed over his face.  “Believe it or not that’s in my best interest.  So I’m willing to help you guys straighten everything out.”  At this point, Lousy lets the hand with the gun drop.  Skylla backs away from him and does the same.  “Besides, I just can’t sit back and watch my brother get himself killed.”

“You couldn’t,” said the attractive woman.  “But I’d be more than happy to see it.”

“Come over her and say that to my face!” taunted Krius.  Skylla began to walk toward him.  He backed down when he remembered that the woman was a lot taller than him.

“Just like old times again,” commented Sion.

“I hate to interrupt the reunion, but if we stay in one place much longer we’ll be screwed,” said Girias.

On that note, they moved out once more.  The officer turned his attention toward Bread.  “Junior?  Buddy, I’ve probably been in more combat missions than you’ve been in simulated ones.  Graduates these days, no respect...”

(OCC:  Yay, you guys get to deal with three members of a squadron that no longer exists and all of which have harsh feeling about that fact.  FYI, I’ve had the NPC Skylla longer than the majority of you’ve even been members of the VEN.  Killing her off at any time would not put me in a good mood.  576 words, btw.)

Lol.  And even better writing, gentlemen; the flashback worked fine, Lousy.  A little brutal for my taste, but you gotta start somewhere.

Thought I'd let you boys know that, since Viper Squadron is in the same boat as Nazgul squadron (their story is coming to an end and it's pretty difficult to include new recruits), it seems to have reached some kind of consensus that they post here.  Thus, for any of those new folks posting on this thread: don't feel the need to jump into this situation if you don't want to: maybe communicate with eachother and get a game plan going.  Jaron and DanteDevant, for instance, will both be dropping in: those two should get in touch and come up with something they can talk about here on the Atrus.  If you wanna get yourselves in trouble, and I don't see why you couldn't, or if you wanna hunt for women; these are pretty easy topics, but whatever gets you started and enjoying your posts: pursue it.  Be simple or be complex, whatever works and, above all, have a little fun.  Keep rockin, folks.

"Geez, why does everyone always have to be so damn tough about everything. Hello, my name is Girias, now, please stop harassing my squad mates and lets get the hell out of here before the Storm Troopers find us and decide to put a few nice extra air holes in our bodies. I for one would not like that, I'm allergic to dying painfully."

Looking at the small group he had around him he could almost predict the fights breaking out if this continues like this, if we all continue to wander around without a decent plan. Proposing one might get us some extra help in getting our names cleared or it might cause a pretty big fight ... Telling himself that there's no other way he stands between his group and the new one out of veterans.

"Look, we aren't getting anywhere with bickering or being a bully to other people. Lets work together to catch whomever is the cause of all of this and clear ours and Krius' name, since you apparently know him. Deal ?"

Upon saying the last word he took out his hand and held it in front of Sion, believing him to be somewhat the brains behind this couple.
