Lesse, I've been on the Science Bowl team for three years running(won the regionals twice, got to go to DC  ), I've done Science Olympiad every year since 7th grade, I'm going to a "trimathalon" on the 14th, and the Academic Challenge team is trying to recruit me... A geek is a compliment, meaning someone who has no social savvy but is still highly intelligent. A nerd is a wannabe geek that knows next to nothing and so dresses even worse then a geek to compensate.
If asked I call myself a geek, but really I fall into no known catagory. I am a varsity football player who dreams of becoming a computer scientist. I am someone that is well liked that still knows how to program. I am a guy that lifts weights every day yet still writes poetry. So, as there is no catagory I fit into, I gladly call myself a geek.
