Saphira stood in the middle of the training room .Her eyes scanning the people she was to train. The others, now giving their training gear were sitting there quiet. ALmost tense. As they shoudl be. This isn't a kids game.. She thought to herself.

"Are we all bright eyed and ready to go?" SHe asked in a mock sarcastic tone. KNowing they were all tired. The morning bell waking them at 0300. Saphira herself doing it on purpose. Many times lack of sleep did wonders. and troops wern't always refreshed for missions.

"The mission is simple. We are going to be on a reccon mission. The data pads before you will give more information on the informanant. The mission is simple.. We get in and out and try not to be seen. Minimul kills. We are just to get the information that is vital to the rest of the VE."


The data pad in front of each of them was the key. It gave specific deatials of what they knew about the facility. How large, levels, some of the weapons or traps that could signal the enemy.

Rakysh entered the room, looking sleepy. After another rough night, he was more tired than ever. Being pulled from his sleep at 3 in the morning by an insistently annoying chrono had not helped his mood either. Having pulled on his bowcaster holster and vibroaxe, he set off for the briefing room.

The door of the room opened, and the tall wookiee entered. Ducking his head slightly to enter, he was able to stand up properly in the high ceilinged briefing room. Looking around, he caught sight of both his commander and the Twi’lek he’d met yesterday. Jaumaru must be late, he thought to himself. Which was a shame, seeing as he was the person Rakysh felt closest to. The test yesterday (which still had Rakysh very confused- he didn’t know what he had done wrong) had brought them together slightly. Groggily, Rakysh muttered a few words to his droid, which shouted in tones far too loud for that time in the morning, “Morning Sergeant, Vidall” Rakysh turned away from the centre of the room, taking a seat near the door, and picking up the datapad with his name on it. He leafed through the pages, selecting a few things that he wanted to look into in more detail.  From what he could see, the mission looked fairly simple- get into the complex, look around, then get out. Still, he thought to himself grimly, things could get hairy if someone sets off an alarm.

Saphira watched as they started to interact with each other. It was a good sign. They all needed to understand each other and trust them. Without that the missions would fail. Of course they all knew it.. but the tests would prove if they would learn anything.  Lowering the data pad she smiled and intrupted the two.

"For this mission you will be issued a duffel bag. That will be what you can carry  your weapons in. Sense this is to be a minor and easy detail we are to keep  to min weapons. E-11 Blaster Rifles,Bi-polar Blaster BMC-150 Carbines, EMP Grenade's, Vibroblades and other meelee weapons that suit to your tastes. Don't forget with the heavy weapons to pack a few clips. Your armor of course will be standard imperial trooper armor.. and yes.. they will fit.."

Rakysh sat back, slightly stunned. Not only a non wookiee who understood cherwook, but one who pronounced with near native standards!

"Hello Rakysh, did the bed get any taller in your sleep?"

He growled an affirmative. The translator droid had managed to negotiate a bigger room with the central computer. It looked like Rakysh might have to keep the droid after all- it seemed its communication skills extended past organics, and it may be useful on a mission somewhere.

Looking up at his instructor, Rakysh growled an affirmative, and went over to the weapons locker. Reaching in, he got out a couple of grenades and stuffed them in his bag. Along with a D-15 pistol and an E-11, he judged these enough weapons to take, along with his bowcaster and vibro-axe. Dumping his bag along side Vidalla’s, he went back to his datapad.

"Rakysh I have a question to ask...have you ever been trained with Ryyk Kerarthorr Blades? If you have would it be acceptable to ask you to train me with them? I find them to be fascination weapons."

Rakysh’s face lit up, and he disappeared from the room. Returning a few moments later, he was holding a pair of the Ryyk variants. Assuming the basic battle stance, he began to engage in a complicated set of manoeuvres that sent the blades whistling high and low. Coming to a halt, he laughed slightly at the Twi’leks surprised expression. “I was the best in my village. Won competitions and everything. I’d be honoured to teach you.” He passed Vidalla the blades, which looked almost comically oversized. She managed to hold the fairly well, her training with vibro blades helping her basic stance. With a quick look over his shoulder at Saphira to ensure that the impromptu training session was ok, he began to teach.

“Ok, first of all you have to keep your centre of gravity lower. Good. Now, raise your arms as though you were boxing, with the blades going down to your elbows. Ok, the basic attacking move is almost like a punch- but lead with your elbow, to make the blade cut around. Try it. Good, you’re a natural…”

Very sorry, but do you mean shiirywook, not cherwook? Also, Rakysh is giving a basic lesson in the Kerathor - don’t ask me to type it up, cos I don’t have much of an idea how they work

The Twi'lik  gave a watchfull look to the two. FOr her first set of training missions they would be fairly easy. However, more then likley if they do well she wouldn't have them for long.

"Your equipment is acceptable. Good choice overall for personal selection."


She gave the slight praise. Her lekku twitching gently over her right shoulder as the datapad she had was laid down to rest against her hip.

"This mission  I will be there.. but  you will be on your own."

More or less she was going to make sure they wouldn't get to badly damaged. VE command wouldn't like the prospect of her harsh courses if the survival rate was low.

“Sorry Sergeant”

Vidalla looks up as Jaumaru speaks to Sergeant Saphira and smiles.

wWell at least I wasn't the only one.

“Hi Rakish, hi Vidalla, I’m sorry being late.”

She nods at Jaumaru and gives him a friendly thump on the back.

"Hey it's ok Jaumaru it happens to the best of us."

She turns back to the duffel bag that she had just finished sorting and moved it next to the door, setting it within easy reach of going out, and if anything unexpected happened. She turned to Saphira and snapped of a quick salute.

"Private Vidalla, ready and waiting for orders Ma'am."

She moves over to stand beside her bag, waiting for orders to go. She stands at parade rest, feet slightly spread and her hands behind her back. Her lekku have stopped moving, adding to the image of complete stillness.

It's ok Jaumaru it's happened to me before completely understandable.

Rakysh Greeted Jaumaru with a jubilant roar. He quickly turned back to the data on the pad, downloading it on to his personal datapad for digestion as he prepared for the mission.

"We shall be leaving shortly. You all have two hours to be ready and meet me in the hanger."

Rakysh nodded to his trainer. He grabbed the duffel bag that was next to him, and walked back to the barracks. He needed to get into his armour, and make sure everything was in order. The mission didn't seem as though it may be long, but Rakysh was sure that it could go on for a while if the sergeant decided so.

Two hours later...

Rakysh jogged up to the hanger, carrying his kit bag. He was encased from head to toe in white plasteel, and it felt good. The ring of his footfalls on the floor made him feel powerful, as though he was walking on all those who said he would never make it as a stormtrooper. He'd proved them wrong, and now he was part of the most elite fighting force in the galaxy.

Turning left, he entered the hangar. It looked like he was the first on htere, and he wasn't sure which transport they were taking, so Rakysh sat on his bag and waited.

Saphira growled at the latest recruit. Taking a deep breath she counted to ten. Trying to supress the urdge to pummel the new one into the ground.No... you know  that's wrong... Let the training do the punishment for you.

She thought to herself as Luca looked at her with a worried  gleam in his eyes.

"Look I am sorry. Paperwork got mixed up and they placed me in the wrong squad at first..."  He started to say, handing out a small datapad. Saphira growled and vowed mentally to get at command for this. Not that she was going to say she was sorry to the poor kid. Looking it over she sighed and thrusted it back at him.

"Even so.. you were late.. Pack your things and go down to the hanger witht he others..."

He moved towards the wookie and asked him aquestion through the translater droid which was still following him "hello wookie friend we havent met yet it is nice to meet you". Lucas was hoping it understood  what he was saying.

The Twi'leks hand was thrust out towards Lucas, he put his out in return and shook hands with her and the Wookie.
"I am Lucas Mulgarth, I was put into the wrong squad thats why you haven't seen me."replied Lucas.
"I don't speak Wookie im still new and my goal is to learn it and many other alien languages, maybe you and Rakysh could teach me."
"Who else is in this mighty fine squadron."

He thought how interesting and intriguing it would be to work with aliens, the only one he had met before where Twi'leks but that was in under city clubs as a kid, horrible memory's.

Rakysh greeted the new guy. He was laughing slightly at the fact that the newest member of the squad was trying to speak right at his translator droid.

"hello wookie friend we havent met yet it is nice to meet you"

Rakysh cut through the translators attempt to talk to him in shiirywook, Rakysh growled a few words back, which the translator relayed quickly.

"The pleasure is all mine, I assure you. I look forward to working with you. However, I understand basic perfectly, so there is no need to have my droid talk to me in shiirywook- it is only due the failings of the wookiee vocal system that we cannot talk in Basic."

"Hey Rakysh, hows the armour fit? Did they have your size your size in stock or did they have to special order for you?"

As soon as Rakysh had greeted the human, Vidalla had entered the room. She seemed uncomfortable with the new armour, walking very stiffly, whereas both New Guy and Rakysh seemed more confident, as though the armour made them somehow immortal, even though they knew it did not.

Rakysh chuckled back at Vidalla, muttering in shiirywook. He knew that she understodd him, but New Guy didn't and it would be rude to exclude him.

"The armourer fainted when he saw me, but managed to put some stuff together after he'd woken up."

Vidalla turned to New Guy.

"Hey there new guy, I'm Vidalla and this is Rakysh. Pleased to meet you."

The humanoid- who was tall for his species, but still childlike in comparison to Rakysh- had to reach up to shake Rakysh's armoured paw. The tall wookiee was struck by the fact that these people may be working with him for a huge part of his life, and that in the next few hours or days, he would be relying on them every step of the way.

"I am Lucas Mulgarth, I was put into the wrong squad thats why you haven't seen me."

Rakysh answered
"A zabrak called Jaumaru. He should be here any minute"

Muglug, sorry to ask, but can you post in one post rather than three? it makes it hard to see all that you wrote :P

Lucas looked towards Rakysh "Do you wanna pilot?" Rakysh gave a grunt, Lucas assumed this as a no, he walked to the Twi,lek "i'll pilot." he walked into the cock pit and took his hands at the controls and exclaimed, "this could be bit bumpy piloting a ship like this is a bit hard but i should be fine...maybe." Lucas sat waiting for rakysh to take his place in the ship/

Vidalla jumped slightly as Saphira appeared out of nowhere and started walking up the ramp. She took a deep breath and shook her head to clear her eyes, making her lekku shake. She sat back down in the co-pilots chair and started adjusting her headset again.

Why do ALL commanding officers just DO that? I swear CO's do that just to freak us out and make it seem like they and be anywhere at anytime. It's almsot as scary as an angry wookiee.

Vidalla starts powering up the ship, waiting for everyone to get inside. The lights flicker on, the engines start cycling up, and the lights on the controlboard come to life.

Well we're ready to go as soon as everyone is aboard. I just hope Jaumaru hurrys up and gets his rear in gear. I mean. . .even the new guy got here before he did!

Vidalla reaches down and buckles herself into the safty harness, cinching it tight against her Femtrooper armour. She looks over at Lucas and nods.

"Alright new guy, lets get this show on the road. Oh, and put your harness on. . .I don't want to be the one scrapping you off the viewscreen if you botch the landing."

She smiles at him, letting him know it was a joke and than looks back at the control panel, ready for lift-off.
