Good to see you taking the initiative Dredj, only thing I have to add as a member of the Academy is that Shaz is currently going to be reviewing requirements and time in to take exams. So they might be changing in the future.

yes sir, i know right now i am checking information about ranks and time served in the VE, also what i mean by they are eligible i am stating that once they get a recommendation from a flight leader they are able to take the exam. It read the rules but i was never aware of the ME's.

I.  First Joining - Basic Training (BT) [To be completed within about
    a week]
    A.  Imperial Initiation
    B.  Flight School
II.  Squadron Duty - First week
    A.  Complete Aviator's and receive promotion upon passing.
    B.  If failed, give another opportunity approximately a week
        later [does stay in squadron as long as test has been taken]
III.  Intermediate Exams
    A.  Senior Aviator's Exam (Must be a Petty Officer 2nd Class and
        can be promoted as far as Chief Petty Officer)
    B.  Must have been in the Imperial Navy for two months: makes
        someone eligible to be a flight lead.
IV.  Road to the Master Aviator's Exam (Must have taken and
      passed both AE and SAE)- Can be taken once rank the rank of
      CPO has been achieved
  (Minor Exams [MEs])
      A.  Technical Exams (TE)
            1.  Comprised of the (ee) (Equipment Exam- should
                probably be taken first) and the (tt) (Technical Test).
            2.  Same preliminaries needed to take these test
                throughout. (CPO, etc...)
      B.  Leadership Exams (LE)
            1.  Same preliminaries needed to take these test
                throughout. (CPO, etc...)
            2.  Must be taken after the TE and must report to TO first
                for instructions.
      C.  The Master Aviator's Exam (Must have attained the rank of
          WO1 - can only be promoted to CWO)
            1.  Must find a time to take the exam with the TO or TX,
                live, at an assigned time after completing the MEs.
            2.  Receive the Master Aviator's Certificate (=MA=):
            3.  Qualified to be an Executive Officer or leave you're
                group and pursue other careers (board ships
                permanently, go to the academy, or receive other
                assignments)
V.  FOCE: Must speak with the TO about this exam.
  1.  Qualifies you to be an officer of the Imperial Navy.
  2.  Can command a small ship or squadron.
  3.  Has the possibility to move up the scale.
  4.  Must have taken all previous exams to qualify
  5.  Must have an officer's recommendations
  6.  Must have achieved the rank of CWO
  7.  Has been in the Vast Empire Navy for at least a year.

Pretty big list huh?  That's why I would suggest that some of these exams that are like six months away, maybe you could read up on 'em a little before hand and then do them before they can actually be turned in.  Don't turn them in of course, but have them ready and work things out so you're not like- "AHhhh, I don't wanna do this..."  Because if you take them in small amounts, maybe read a page a day for a couple of weeks, or maybe not even that: it is going to be a crap load easier to understand and complete.  Furthermore, if you can ask people in the VENA-S why things work the way they do in that time period, you may be able to take some of our test without even going back to look in the suggested areas.  That'd be remarkable.  So: the big thing is getting the SAE out of the way, and then, if you're feeling ambitious- preparing for the Minor Exams (MEs). 

Those'll lead you right to the MA, which should be a breeze if you understood the minor exams.  Finally, the FOCE is to be taken at about a year's time, and it qualifies you to be a commander: an officer.  Don't know exactly how many officers we have around here now...  Me, Heth, Art, Will...  Sk8 is gone now.  Trying to think if Chip broke that- Jaden is an officer I believe.  IN short: not too many have it, primarilly because testing is so difficult or the amount of time it takes to bypass those exams is so great.  Furthermore, for a long time, its been difficult to recognize those worthy of such positions and rank: we're hoping to change that.

Keep in mind, however, that I'd like to limit how many people we're making into officers in order to maintain the Army/Navy balance. Additionally, I expect officers in this Navy to assist in the day-to-day administration of the Navy (which pretty much all the current ones do by dent of their positions). Not everyone needs to be an officer in order to be an influential and important member of this division.

normally in the navy, there's the normal navy people, on larger ships, and then there's the fighter corp, or something of that nature. and the ranks are different. but since we have it in one division, we're just going by the normal Navy ranks. Just like there's the Army, and there's the Stormtrooper Corp.
