In my last post, I had introduced the threat of boarding craft, and had Kaph squadron given orders to eliminate as many as possible of the ships before they hit the Strike Cruiser. I did not make these orders specifically choose Kaph for the job, so if Nazgul flights one and three want to join in, they've got the opening to.

Post Summation: Nazgul Flight 2 arrive at the asteroid. Due to my hacking into the comfrequencies, we find out that there is a flight of Y-wings lifting off from the asteroid, thus letting us know there is a hanger. We destroy the four Y-wings and also destroy a few of the turrets. We then make a impromptu landing in the hanger bay. Also, the hanger explains where a few of the unaccounted fighters we've faught could have come from. If there were an extra number of fighters that is. The asteroid also seems to be mostly automated, but there could be some soldiers on board plus a few pilots and technicians.

Plot Summary:  I killed off the NPC Orrak by connecting him to the TIE that Hellkite saw destroyed.  I added A-Wing cover to the boarding craft and ended up destroying 1 of the A-Wings.  That would be about it.

I did a flash back for Obili that should give you some incite on why he hates us so much, though it isn't the soul reason that his life was screwed up. Also while taking the enemy's view, I added to the consequences for if the Doashim is taken.

While being myself, I showed how lack of communications could isolate a pilot from the others in his flight.  I made it even clearer that the enemy would get boarding craft to the Doashim.  Two more A-Wings were destroyed.  I wrote that two boarding craft were destroyed for sure, but most likly more also met their demise.  How many is for the next person to post to decide.

Remind me what I asked you not to do Jaden.  Please edit accordingly (ie. do not even mention the rebel boarding).  Thank you.  I have to work this out very carefully in order to make it technically feasible; I am playing with an idea and it could contradict with what you wrote.

Boys, I don't know what the deal is with the Doashim getting captured, but I'd really, really like to have that going on in the background of my post, so if someone could let me in on it- that would be excellent.

Review

So far we know that A-wings and X-wings had been launched from the enemy strike cruiser, and are we saying that they were also launched from the two corvettes and the MC-40.  If so, which ones have been sending out fighters, which were even capable, and how many have been launched and how many remain?  Art- sorry to drag you into a technical knowledge role, but I'm going to need that from you or someone else who knows off the top of thier head what was decided.  Using what we know- how many enemy fighters are left and to which ships to they belong?  And what type of fighters are they? 

We also know that we're sending our gunboats to take over a ship- which did we decide upon there?  I'd like all of us to be saying the same thing rather than coming up with different stories for the same event: who knows?  Either way, Nazgul is going to be attached to that group because that was the original plan.  That means that Kaph will be in charge of picking off incoming boarders imbound for the Doashim.  We need those to be seperated so we're not with one ship one second and another the next.  I need those questions answered before we continue with this story- we're losing control of what forces are moving around us and the story is just going to get more confusing unless we decide on what's really happening.  I'm sorry I didn't keep a better record of our ships and thier capabilities as well as thier fighter load, but if we want to continued- we need this.  Those are the questions we need answered- let's get to it folks.

MC-40a holds two squadrons, the Strike cruiser holds only one.  Thus we're dealing with three squadrons from the NR task force.  Now it has been mentioned that extra enemy fighters have come from the asteroid defense platform that Nazgul flight 2 is currently in.

So...the easiest way to calculate the numbers is to have either the squadron leaders, or the flight leaders tally up their members over-all kills and post it here, thne we can do some number crunching and figure out where we're at.

My flight has destroyed a flight of X-wings, 2 A-wings, and a flight of Y-wings(came from the asteroid).

Well pretty much my post was about saving Cyleaf's life. Beyond the character development that that whole situation is going to split off into, it also introduced a court marshal that will happen in the future because of Sion's actions. I plan on pulling something really big in order to lighten the sentence. Nothing was destroyed in this post, it was all character development.

Plot

So here's what's been decided for our chain of events and what's all happening! First off, thought I'd clear the order of events here:

I've decided that our enemy strike cruiser the Jotunheim is actually one of the modified versions that can carry up to three squadrons- that's where one squadron of X-wings and another of A-wings were dispatched from. Those have been taken out, so technically one would have remained, yes? That's the current A-wing group out- there's ten of those left and they've correlated around the Corellian Corvette Hugin (the one we've seperated off from everyone else). Now, Flight Three of Nazgul has been hanging around there the entire time, so they've been fending off the enemy alongside the half-dozen gunships that the Doashim sent out to disable the Hugin.  Flight One is just arriving on the scene so the total of fighters goes to six TIE Advanced (Nazgul Flight 1 and 3), six gunships (launched from the Doashim), and ten enemy A-wings (launched from the Jotunheim). 

So what else can launch fighters?  All of the fighters from the Jotunheim are used up or still in battle, so that leaves the MC-40 Xuthus.  That ship is actually only capable of launching two squadrons, but it's launched one group of X-wings (three flights of three), and another half dozen boarding ships to take over the Doashim.  Somehow or another, that flight of X-wings has lost five of its own, so that brings its total of Xs to 4!  Now, that's four X-wings, six enemy gunboats and the remainder of of available Kaph fighters all correlating around the Doashim.  That's where each group remains for the time being- they're not currently working together and neither side should be assisting either side or giving order to one another (not that they really could anyhow )

Thoughts

The only things I'd like to address are kill counts, difficulty level, allied losses and opportunties for improvement.  Kill counts: let's try to keep them reasonable: we shouldn't be able to take out five enemy fighters just like that- they should be giving us some serious hell right about now and its likely that the people around the Hugin will have serious problems taking out enemy fighters while the gunships engage for a disabling move.  Also- difficulty level of flying in an asteroid field: its pretty much suicide so we've already bent that substantially- we're in free space now so lets get away from that subject totally.  Also- we need to lose some people on our side: some of the boarding ships from the Doashim need to be taken out and perhaps allied fightersp- lets see where we can put them in.  Last but not least- areas for story development might include having the rookie pilots have a hard time in combat, facing off with ace fighters, getting knocked out of the fight, taking that rogue asteroid that flight 2 is on and dropping it into the atmosphere of Nestamos, or perhaps just posting from the enemies point of view. 

One last thought- we weren't going to be including Nestamos originally because we jumped away from it, but that's been miscrewed to the point that I'm going to have to omitt the fact that we jumped and say that its just there.

I am confused about something. In one of my posts I wrote about two of the enemy boarding craft being destroyed. There were other things in that post that were in the gray areas that could easily slide as misinterpretation, but two confirmed kills are hard to avoid.  So are we going to go with that it never happened or what?

I'm new to all of this and am just getting the gist of it.

Yes, I have read all of what's going on and my partner, Hellkite has informed me as to posting and looking here to see what's up really.

If you read my last post, it was strictly to save Hellkite from a smothering death. But, now that I have read the posts here, we can both be sacrificed for the story.

I picked him up in my Tie fighter, after his fighter was detroyed. He has informed me through messaging that tie fighters only have room for one. I originally was suppoed to be flying an X-1 Advanced Tie Fighter to accomodate for my larger Wookie size. The likes of Darth Vaders vessel? However, I can edit my post to either leave him stranded or kill us both in my next post??????

I have been proud to post here even for a short time. I was really happy with my last post even though it wasn't close to what you all do.

I have read what's going on. And reading my last post can me and Hellkite make one last foray before disappearing into the Night? And can we at least take out a fighter or two?

Well, I finally got the night off, so I posted.  Basically I introduced an enemy captin into the equation, the rogue asteroid captain.  Darius has now formulated a plan to capture the bridge by using the mechanic they found hiding in empty cargo containers.  He will either capture the asteroid and use its weapons against the rebels, or crash it into one of the major ships, preferably the MC-40.  I think I'll let either Art or Shazam decide that one.
