I agree Raz, Brazil has been remarkably uninspiring so far. I would say the best performance of the World Cup so far would be Ghana's victory over #2 ranked Czech Republic. It was 2-0 but they did miss a penalty and probably would have had a couple more goals if they weren't offside about 14 times (many of them excruciatingly close). Ghana has impressed me enough to say that they may be to this World Cup what Korea was to the 2002 World Cup (incidentally Korea has played very poorly so far). -----------------------

Hell Kami, that was a great showing by the Socceroos. I mean, holding Brazil for about 50 minutes, plus those strikes by Kewell later in the game. Barring the late lucky goal, you guys did a hell of a job on them.
I mean, if we luck out and get out of our group, I imagine we'll pull Brazil and get the crapped kicked out of us. It won't be anything near as pretty as what happened yesterday. -----------------------

lol, I have to admit, in the first half I thought Australia was going to score a goal, they played pretty well. Brazil didn't do as good as I thought they would either. I don't think there gonna win this World Cup. Maybe Argentina has a chance, but I doubt Brazil. -----------------------

The US isn't going to make it. That pool will have one of the following combinations for advancement:
Czech Republic and Ghana
Italy and Ghana
Ghana will beat the US so the result of Italy vs. Czech Republic will decide it. In the unlikely event of a tie we would have this.

Congrats to Ghana on a very well played opening round. 6th straight World Cup where a team from Africa has advanced. It'd be nice to see more from Africa and Asia make it eventually (Korea will qualify from Asia this time again). Time to make this a World Cup not a European/South American Cup.
