Denethor, Commander of Kaph squadron walked briskly into the breifing room in his clean gray uniform as Will said, "Attention!" with a quick salute, then followed Den to the front of the room and took a seat in front of a computer.
"Good Evening everyone." Den said as he stepped up to the podium and addressed the Kaphs and Alpha squadron members. "We don't have much time right now, so i'll just get to the point. Our new mission will be to strike at a recently discovered New Republic mining colony. The system is Bokura, situated in the outer rims of N.R. territory. The only habitalbe planet is Bokura V, all other four planets are solid rocks with no atmosphere. From what we know of this planet," Den paused as Will brought up a light blue planet with an asteroid belt on the holo projector. "tells us that it is an ice plant with ninety percent of the planet covered in ice. The colonies are under thick layers of ice which protects the inhabitants from the intense weather that sometimes occurs and help keep the air inside. The population of the planet is roughly around three million, but about half of them are miners that work in the asteroid fields. the major export of te planet are some refined metals that were mined in the asteroid fields then refined on the planet. Phase one of our objectives are to move in with a cruiser, move into the inside of the asteroids field and capture as many tranport ships that are going back to the planet as possible, but no more than three, because we don't want to bite off more than we can chew. Once these freighters and the fighters meet up with the cruiser, we'll change fighters, if you wish, then move on to phase two, and the freighters will hop to outside the system with the cruiser and wait there, while five of our own frieghters will jump into the system from another point and revendous with the fighters. Phase two will be for the freighters to go onto the actual planet and be loaded with refined metal. But before we do that, flight one and three of Kaph will do recons on the planet and clear out some planetary defenses, and two flight and Alpha's will escort the freighters to the planet. Once the freighters are on the ground, both squadrons will provide cover for them and take out the squadron fighters that we can expect as our suprise wears out. Once we're all back in space, we will meet up with the cruiser and the captured freighters and come back home. For this mission you may use any personal fighter. We will be transferred over to the cruiser in one hour, then we'll have twelves hours on board the cruiser before we reach our destination. Any questions? no? Be stupid out there."

(if you do have any questions message me or something. I put "be stupid" because part of our motto is being stupid )

(Awesome, we are just going to jump in along with everyone else)

Everything slowed down as Jaden looked out the view hole in the spacecraft. The Dreadnaught Vanity had entered hyperspace not to far from the Strike-Class Medium Cruiser Phalanx. Kaph was on the Phalanx along with Alpha Squadron.

"Er, this is the Commanding Officer of the Dreadnaught Vanity, we have arrived with Aegis Squadron for support. They are loaded up and ready to be transfered over to the Phalanx," said a voice over the com system"

"Alright, send them over. Not much time though, mission departure is in 20 minutes and counting. Be punctual, this mission needs not to run late"

Jaden held his helmet in his hand as the strutted down the hanger toward the other 3 pilots in his squadron. His commanding officer Chipmunk man was on the left, and the other two pilots Hunter and Geth were on the right, holding their helmets and waiting for orders.

"Alright, I just got the information. We have arrived at the rendezvous point. We are to get in our fighters and fly on over to the Phalanx. Once we are in the Phalanx, we are going to hop over to the Bokura system and start the mission. We've only got 20 minutes till we leave, so we have to get going," said Jaden

"Alright, everyone get in your fighters. We're out in five minutes," said Chip.

Jaden jogged over to his Hornet Interceptor and climbed to the top on the small metallic staircase. Once he opened the hatch and slid into the comfortable leather seat, crewman rushed around and moved everything out of the area of where the fighter had been sitting. Jaden looked out his cockpit and saw that everyone else had started to check in.

Jaden finished his check in quick, and within about a minute or so, all of the fighters were out of the hanger. It didn't take them long to make their way over to the Phalanx, which was about 4 klicks away from the Vanity.

The fighters glided into the empty hangere between hangers 1 and 3, which meant they were in Hanger #2. They wouldn't get to talk to see the other squadrons before the mission due to time restraints, but there would probably be some chatter over the com systems before the mission. Once all the fighters were in the hanger, they set down and shut down.

Jaden hopped out of his fighter and waited for the crews to come with the metal staircase so he could get down. Once down he walked over to Chips fighter.

"Hey Chip, looks like we're on a mission. Seems like it has been so long doesn't it?" asked Jaden

"Yea, it sure does. But things are different, we are only helping out another squadron who is in need, and all we have is you, Hunter and Geth. If we lose someone, we could be in serious trouble, but I doubt that will happen, seeing as how we have all experienced pilots in our Squadron. Did you understand the briefing?"

"Yea, I got it," said Jaden

"Same with Us," said Hunter and Geth walking over from their fighters. All four of the pilots were surprised as they were tugged from their positions when the cruiser jumped into Hyperspace, but they managed to keep their ground.

"Alright, we should be out of hyperspace in less than 10 minutes, then its mission go. Remember, our orders are to escort Kaph and help them out with anything they need. Alpha is just another squadron of fighters we need not to factor into this mission, because they don't affect us, but make sure to keep an eye on them," said Chip

Everyone went back to their fighters and got in. Jaden rubbed his helmet against his flight suit making sure that it was nice and shiny before he placed it on his head. He always hated the darkness that the visor of the helmet caused to his vision, but if he was to get engine wash from the cruiser, he would go blind from looking at the bright light.

Within a few minutes the Phalanx had made it into the Bokura system. Now the misson was go.

All Squadrons were go. Kaph had just left hanger 1, and Alpha Squadron had just left Hanger 2. Alpha Squadron was flying Assault Gunboats, while Kaph was flying an array of things. Tie Fighters, Interceptors, and even Will was flying his own fighter. Once all the fighters were out of the hangers, they scattered toward their destinations within the asteroid field. The asteroids weren't very close together, so it was easy to navigate through them. The asteroids threw off the sensors a tad bit, making it hard to target anything in the vicinity.

Jaden took a good hard look through his view port. He squinted his eyes searching for fighters or transport just above the ice-blue planet of Bokura V. To left he could barely make something out.

"Chip, check out to your left. Do you see something just over there?" asked Jaden

"I'll move in a little closer to take a look. Hunter, Follow me. Jaden, you go check on Kaph and see what they're up to," said Chip

"Alright, see you in a while," said Jaden

Jaden went full throttle and pulled to the right to move in with Kaph Squadron. Geth quickly jumped on Jaden's tail trying not to loose him as they caught up with Kaph.

"Long time no see Will," said Jaden on the Kaph com frequency."

"You guys look like your running pretty low on fighters. Whats wrong?" asked Will

"We lots a bunch of recruits in the last mission, but we're fine," said Jaden, "What are your orders?"

"Well-" Will was stopped in mid sentence. Jaden looked over to see a squadron of...X-wing snub-fighters. Damn. And it looked like there were two more flights of A-wings behind them.

"Alpha Squadron, watch your backs!" yelled Will through the com, but it was too late. The Alpha Squadron gunboats were sitting ducks. Jaden could see the blue streaks of proton torpedoes heading toward them as the squadron of gunboats broke their formation. Only a few of them got away, but the others were smashed into pieces by the swarm of missiles and torpedoes. Kaph automatically split and went after the fighters.

"Alpha, whats left of your squadron, report in," said Chip

"Alpha 1, 2 ,3 and 6 look to be in commission sir," said Geth

"Good observation. Alpha, we are on our way to escort you on your attack run at the transports. It looks like they are making a break for the planet. Kaph is going to cover the fighters while we take you in. Once we get in, we'll help take out the shields and you guys give them the ion blasts. By the time they are disabled the Freighters should have arrived. On your way" said Chip

The entire squadron of Kaph was caught up in a dogfight with the newly arrived enemy squadron. 1 flight of X-wings, and 2 flights of A-wings.

"Kaph, this is Aegis 1, will you be alright on your own, we are going to escort Alpha on their attack run," said Chip

"We are fine, they are outnumbered, and we have more fire-power. Go ahead with your objectives," said Will in a monotone voice.

Jaden followed Chip as they pulled away from their position toward what was left of Alpha Squadron. Within a few moments they had pulled up behind and in front of Alpha Squadron. Chip and Hunter were in the front, While Jaden and Geth covered the back.

"Keep your eyes peeled, radar says that they are dead ahead 4 klicks. All energy to engines," said the commanding pilot of Alpha Squadron. The gunboats quickly picked up speed as they transfered shield energy over to the engines.

It came quicker than anyone had anticipated. The transports were directly in front of Alpha and Aegis Squadrons. It was like they came out right from under an asteroid.

"Alright, there they are. Unload until there are no shields, Aegis, you help us out with the fighters," said Alpha 1.

"We're on it," said Chip

There was only one flight of A-wings protecting the 5 transports. The idea was to capture only three, because their wasn't enough freighters to haul all of the transports with all of their materials back. The A-wings were getting closer and closer by the second. Jaden pulled back on his stick and went for the A-wings.

"Aegis 4 engaging," said Jaden as he pulled up his targeting computer. Laser power was at full. The A-wings flew in a strait line toward him. Jaden could see that Hunter and Geth were right behind him on the attack

"You two lay on some crossfire, that will break them up. After-wards, they will be out of formation and we can take them out one by one. You two each get one, and I'll get two." said Jaden.

"Affirmative," came back Hunter and Geth

"Chip, where you at?" asked Jaden

"I'm seeing through that these transports are captured. We've already got one down. Oh wait, there's the freighters now" said Chip.

Jaden's targeting redicle beeped even faster as the A-wings came into view. He pulled the trigger letting the bolts flying. From behind him came another swarm of pinpoint bolts heading for the A-wings. A few of the shots clipped the fighters, taking them off of their attack course. Jaden quickly snapped up behind the first fighter he came to. The fighter couldn't shake Jaden's veteran flying skills, and with a few puncturing shots of his blaster fire, the A-wing was toast. Geth had managed to pick himself up a kill, while Hunter was still working on his. Jaden looked around on his radar for the lone A-wing that he was supposed to take care of, but to his surprise, he couldn't find it. It took him a few seconds, but he finally found the fighter, right behind Chip.

"Chip, check your six, there is a fighter!" yelled Jaden

"Oh great.." sighed Chip, whipping his fighter around. The A-wing must have thought he had fallen asleep or something, because all it did was sit there while Chip came around and gave the fighter his payload. A few seconds later, the fighter was scrap, Along with Hunters target also.

"Alright, form up, we have two fighters disabled, one to go" said Chip

Jaden gunned his throttle and came rushing up on the port side of the transport. He brought his fighter so close to the side of the transport that he could see the faces of the crew on the inside. He was sure that they could see him too. With a few shots he had taken out the weapons systems. Geth game around and shot out the navigations, and one of the Alpha squadron gunboats let off a few ion blasts, finishing off the last transport. The other two transports had made it back to the planet.

"Alright, Will, you guys make it?" said Jaden, switching over to the Kaph frequency.

"Yea, we just finished up the fighters. Looks like you guys got the transports disabled. I'll give the freighters the heads up. Once the freighters are out of the system, I'm going planet side with flights one and three of my squadron. Alpha, looks like you guys won't be needed for the rest of the mission, due to your lack of numbers. Get back to the Phalanx and prepare to leave the system. Aegis, you are taking Alphas place. You are to wait for the 5 freighters that are jumping in at the rendezvous site not too far from here at the NR Nav buey, and escort them to the planet. You are going to be assisted by Kaph flight 2. As I said before, flights one and three are coming with me to go scout the area and take out the defenses so our freighters can move in without problem. If anyone needs to change fighters, now would be the time, because the crusier is jumping out of the system. Once th"

"I think we're all good," said Chip, "See you planet-side"

"Alright, Kaphs, form up on me." Will said as he steered his Avenger back toward the Phalanx. "We're going to refuel, make any adjustment that needs to be done, then head back out."

"Roger, Kaph five."

Will slowly flew his Avenger into the hanger on repulsor lifts and gently settled it down along with the rest of Kaph squadron. He climbed out and looked around for a tech before dropping to the ground. "Prepare my Aggressor, then get my new Century Tank loaded onto the lead freighter along with some other stuff that I'm bring planetside. Don't left me find a scratch on my tank, or you'll have hell!"

"Yes, sir! I'll get on the tasks right away." the tech saluted, a bit scared by Will's last comment, then dashed off to complete his tasks.

Back in his apartment, Will said to his weapon maintenance droid that he brought along on the mission, "AD-101, bring one of my Interchangeable Combat Systems, and my heavy blaster pistols, and would you please bring my scout armor here while you're at it?"

"Yes, no problem" the droid answered.

after a while, the droid came back with the armor and the combat system each in a box, and nine heavy blaster pistols held on a rack. "Did you mean all of these?"

Will managed a small chuckle, "I'm sorry, I forgot that I owned so many, I'll just take the SSK-7, and the DL-44." He took the pistols, clipped them onto his belt. and moved to put a vibrobayonet in the combat system's box, when his comlink beeped.

"Will, where the heck are you? did you fall asleep or something?!"

"I'm on my way." Will said hurriedly as he realized how much time he'd taken up. He grabbed his boxes, and hurried out the door toward the hanger.

When he got there, every member of the squadron were already half way through their pre-flight checks. Will dropped into his Aggressor, and began a quick pre-flight check. "Kaph five, green and ready to go."

"Roger, this is control, you're clear for launch when you're ready. Stand by."

Will adjusted his belt so he no longer sat on one of his guns caused by his hurried entrance into the fighter. "Thanks control, Kaph five out." Will directed his flight stick at the hanger exit and flew out into the space again, this time at the planet's surface.

"Lead freighter to Kaph five."

"Yea, go ahead"

"What did you load on my freighter? it's taking up some space in here."

"Yea, my new Tie Century Tank, I want to try it out on the ground once you guys land. I hope it's not too much problem."

"Nah, I was just curios, wish you a swift flight. Lead freighter out."

"same to you too." Will murmured. He had a feeling something's going to go wrong once they get down there.

"Alright Kaphs, the latest report on the planet's weather shows pretty bad. So chances are, they're got their cities underground, which means, there will be limited flight space, so be careful down there. The slicers on the ship managed to pull up the flight courses of their freighters, we'll start searching at their landing point. We're going to need heat sensors, since we probably won't be able to see anything down there with the horrible weather. In another way, the weather is giving us good cover, so keep maximum comm silence. click your comm twice if you're sure you've found the city. Good luck out there." With that, the comm unit went dead silent as the Kaphs' flew along the transport course.

The small dots Jaden had been keeping track of with his eyes were finally gone.  Kaph had entered the atmosphere of Bokura V, into the vast blizzard that had just been sturred up.  Jaden kept thinking to him self what it was going to be like to fly in the snow, because he had never flown in it before.

"Alright, Freighters, begin your descent to the planet, but keep it slow.  We aren't suppose to arrive until Kaph has found the hidden city and taken out the defenses.  We should check on that by the way," said Chip.

"You think we will encounter any heavy resistance down there?" asked Geth, curiously.

"Well, I doubt that we are going to run into anything very big except for a few turrets and maybe one or two uglies.  They don't want to be flying, and neither do we, but it's our way in.  There is so much blockage of the radars down there though, that everyone is flying blind, no radars.

"Alright, that doesn't sound too bad," said Hunter, "Maybe we will be able to get through this easier than I thought"

"Don't be so quick to judge the situation here Hunter," said Jaden, "tis' not going to be very fun flying in the snow with no sight except for thermal vision, which means we can barely tell theior fighters from our own.  I'm guessing that the storm will be over in a good 35 minutes, so thats about how much time we have to get these freighters pass the defenses, because once the storm clears up, they are going to know that we are here, and the whole NR base will be alerted of our presence."

"Alright, so we know what has to be done," said Chip, "Away Aegis!" yipped Chipmunk man into the com system, alerting half the members the squadron.

The fighters quickly picked up speed as the transports began their run to the planet.  There was nothing out of the ordinary at the time, and all of the pilots hoped that it would stay that way for most of the mission, if not all of it.  But just then, Jaden got a message over the com system.

"This is Kaph 5, Will, we have taken out the turrets, but we have a problem.  It looks like the storm is dieing down faster than we anticipated.  I want all of you, freighters and fighters, at full engine to get your asses down here before they have their sight back.  If not, I'm afraid we're going to have to pull out of this mission." said Will

"Alright, double time Frieghters," said Jaden, smashing his throttle all the way forward and putting his visor down on his helmet.  He followed directly behind two of the left transports, keeping them safe in his area of view.  Just then, Chip came over the com system.

"ETA to Bokura V, 5 minutes" said Chip

"Looks like the ice is pretty thick here, we're gonna need me to bomb a hole in it first, then I want all of you to use all of your guns to enlarge the hole so the freighters can pass through. Once we're inside their "fortress", look for the ore processing factory, when we find it, we're to create a perimeter defense. I'm guessing there's going to be more turbo lasers down there. so look out for those, and look out for bridges that might span certain places." Will spoke to his comrades.

"Alright, Kaph five, bombs away!" Will said excitedly as he made his pass over the ceiling of the underground city. Where parts of a huge piece of ice was now replaced by a big round hole with burned trims. Then two more explosions sounded as Denethor sent his torpedoes into the side of the hole, enlarging it. All of a sudden the hole was filled with lasers flying into and out of the hole.

"Looks like they've got some pretty tight defense down there, we must've hit the jackpot of some sort." Scout said.

"I bet they haven't seen rain in a long time." Will chipped in which brought a few laughs. Big chunks of ice were melted away as the lasers poured into the ice, then either the water dripped into the city, or the steam rose into the sky and was blown away with the wind.

"I think the hole's big enough, don't you?" Den said.

"Yea, it looks pretty big. Ok, Kaphs form up on me, we're going in." Will ordered once again. He went low along the surface of the ice, then when he reached the hole, he suddenly disappeared. As he expected, lasers hammered into his shield. He rolled immediately to port once he cleared the ice, and dove around the open space that was the city, dropping bombs as he went by hoping to hit some turrets as he did so. Meanwhile, his automated lasers fired away at random targets, killing century guards and blowing up more turrets. "Need a little help here." He saw out of the corner of his eyes as Den dropped into the hole and attracted more turbo lasers to follow in his wake. "You guys should be OK to drop in now. Interceptors drop in first, fly up high and fly down at full speed, then pull flat once you're inside. Your superior experience to the others should allow you to avoid the lasers better than them."

"Ten four. Coming in." Three Tie Interceptors dropped in at full speed then pulled flat in different direction.

"Sir, my sensors show nine ships coming in from space, and another squadron from the other side of the planet, Uglies of some kind."

"The nine ships should be the Aegis squadron and the five freighters. Tell them to hang on out there while we clear this place up so they can drop in. How much time do we have?"

"Three minutes for the freighters, and ten for the uglies. Sir do you want the rest of us to delay the uglies?"

"Ok, here's what will happen, Sion, Edor, and Stormz, take Aegis with you, with the seven of you, it should be a fair fight. Good luck. Kaph Leader out"

"Yes, sir, we're on our way."

"Will would you mind sending a message to Aegis for me? I'm a little occupied here."

"No problem." Will answered, then changed his comm channel to fleet. "Kaph five to Aegis."

"This is Aegis Leader, how may I be of service?"

"Your sensor probably shows a squadron of enemy fighters coming in, I've already sent three of my fighters on their way to intercept the enemy..."

"Let me guess, you want us to aid them."

"Well yes, after all, there's only three of them, I don't doubt their skills, but they're out numbered to four to one. Please head over and make it a fair fight."

"Roger that. What do you want me to do with the freighters, let them follow us in? Or are your place almost ready?"

"Send them in, there's not much resistance down here anymore, they won't do you any good in a dogfight."

"Changing course now. Enjoy, Aegis Leader out."

"Alright guys, lets clean this place up and set a perimeter around the factory." Will said into his comm after changing the channel back to squadron and lowering the range so only the Kaphs in the city can hear him. "Looks like we're already clear of turbo lasers. let's start over there for the perimeter. we're going to need to clear those bridges, the freighters can get through with them as barriers."

Will flew up, and dropped a concussion bomb on one of the bridges. The whole bridge, along with a few other smaller ones around it, were instantly covered in blood as the people on them were squashed paper thin. Those who were beyond the range of the bomb fell as the ice-bridges collapsed.

"Here they come, right on time." Will said to his squadron members, then switched to fleet. "What took you guys so long? Set down over there by the corner. and leave a little space in the middle."

"Hey, we got here as fast as we could, you guys are just being over achievers."

"Why, thank you for the complement." Will replied as he poured more lasers into groups of guards that formed outside ice-caves.

"Engines off... Commandos on the ground, ready to engage." Will watched as the five freighters formed a square like shape with cargo bays facing out ward for easier loading, and a small open space in the center.

"Alright you guys give them some cover while I change into my new weapon." Will said, "Powers off, engaging repulsor lifts."

He settled down neatly in the open space he requested, next to his tank that had already been moved onto the ground. "Thanks guys."

Will grabbed his boxes that contained the armor and the combat system, climbed out, while a couple of stormtroopers gave him cover to make sure that no one sniped him from somewhere higher in the cave. Will climbed into his tank and said, "Good bye
Tie that belongs in the air, and hello Tie that belongs on the ground." He went to the back of the tank, stripped out of his pilot suite, and got into his armor. He got comfortable in the pilot seat, familiarized himself with the controls, took out his nice, big gun and laid it next to his seat in case he need it, and poked his head outside, "anyone want to be my short range gunner?" and surprised everyone with his now mechanical looking helmet.

A stormtrooper immediately climbed onto the outside of the tank, and situated himself so he can have both hands free to fire. "Ready to go sir."

Will headed outside the ring of freighters and followed in the commando's path.

After veering from escorting the freighters, Hunter fell in behind Chipmunk as they headed toward on the incoming hostile fighters. The three Kaph pilots joined the four Aegis flight, forming a pyramid shape with one fighter flying a plane above the others. The snow was still blowing around, but it had died down a little. Even with the Kaph pilots we are still outnumbered, but we are up against Uglies. Oh well.

Through the now diminished snow, Hunter could now see the approaching dots. Chip was leading the formation of fighters, with Jaden back and to this right while Hunter was back and to his left. Geth was flying on top, while the Kaph pilots formed the back of the group. Hunter leaned into his controls, guiding his Tie-interceptor smoothly. Flying atmosphere was not quite being in space, especially with the added winds from the storm, but Hunter was used to it. He had flown quite a lot even before he had joined the Empire.

"Break on my mark," came Chip's voice. Hunter nodded to himself. As soon as the two groups of fighters were within distance to fire, a few peremptory laser shots were fired, even though there was a slim chance of one hitting their supposed targets. But, now the four front fighters were within range to get a target lock on the fighters. Even though the four fighters weren't equipped with torpedo launchers, their counterparts behind them had been to punch through the ice shielding the city earlier. "Break!"

The four Aegis pilots broke in four different directions and kept turning so they would be able to loop around sharply and continue in their previous direction. Using the target locks the Aegis pilots had fed them through their computers, the three Kaph pilots fired three torpedoes at the surprised uglies. The Uglies tried to change course, but were too late to dodge the missiles. Three explosions ripped through the thin air, turning the closest area around them into clouds of steam while the furthest effected region was turned into pelting rain which quickly refroze and fell to the cold earth. A second later, another fighter plummeted to the earth which had been caught in the explosions from the its three comrades.

After finishing their loops, the Aegis pilots formed up again and ripped into the nine remaining fighters, which had also been damaged from the previous onslaught. Three more uglies were added to the icy ground. "That worked nicely Hunter. Good work." Jaden said. "Let's finish up these last six, now that the numbers are a little more even."

"Thank you sir." Hunter responded. He had been the one to come up with the formation idea. Even if I'm not the best shot, I can at least come up with some strategies. It was something he had always been good at. In tight situations when he had flown earlier in his life, he might not have gotten the most kills in the dog fights, but it was his strategies that had kept his comrades alive. Bringing his focus back to the present, Hunter played the fighter's controls and brought the Interceptor around for another pass on the uglies.

With the faster speed, Will's tank quickly caught up with the commando team that was sent in to disable the factory's weapon systems and open the loading bays so the freighters can start loading. Upon reaching the side doors, it was big enough to allow the commandos, but was no where close to letting the tank pass easily. "Alright, you guys set the charges, then duck behind the tank, my armor plating and the shield generator should be able to soak up most of the force from the explosion." Even as Will said it, he put the tank into reverse and backed away a good distance from the door.

"BOOM" Was all that sounded as transparisteel plates were blasted away from there place and were flung into the inside of the structure and out into the space outside. Small pieces of ice melted in the boiling water was the ice under the door was melted by the blast. Will ferried all of the ten commandos over the water on top of his tank as his tank took no real damage from the heat.

"Alright, let's move! Beta, take point! Will, take center! Charlie, bring up the rear!" The leader of the commandos called through the channel. The two teams of commandos split up as five moved ahead, with the tank in between them with a gunner on top, and the other five commandos following the tank, who occasionally turned to check that they weren't being follow. But sometimes one or two uniformed personnels will charge at them with a sprint, but only to be cut down by the steady stream of laser fire from the commandos. Every time they came across a camera, Will would blast it into pieces of metal with his laser cannons.

"Sensors show a large area of open space coming up just beyond the blast doors." Will reported. "probably one of the storage holds where they keep the processed metal until the transports come to take them to other places. But it's probably guarded fairly heavy especially with our surprise gone. Be on your guards, look out for cannons and such. There might even be some walkers patrolling the areas. Ok, let's go." Will said as they rounded a corner and found themselves facing two AT-XT Assault Walkers guarding the large double blast doors that covered the entrance to the hold that contains what they came for.

The commandos quickly ducked behind the tank as it moved forward, aimed ans started to fire turbolasers into the walker's right leg. As the steel burned red, and then finally gave away to the heavy weight it was supposed to carry, the walker tumbled to the right and fell to the ground with the pod hitting the ground first and crushing the metal plates and causing the viewport to explode into pieces. Will like wise took care of the other walker as his turbo laser combined with the commando's fire powers heated the leg until the metal turned bright red at some parts.

But just as the second walker fell, they heard the inner layer of the blast doors close with a small clank, and locked into place. "Well, that will complicate things a bit." Will said. "Why don't you guys set the charges just as we did with the outside door-"

"Yes, but this is a pair of blast doors, not just some metal door-" The commando team leader interrupted.

"and I'll reinforce the barrage with my laser cannons. If your bombs can't get through the doors in one blast we'll try again to see if two will get through them." Will continued as if nothing happened and rotated around so his cannons faced the door.

"Our other objective is to find and capture the control room and open the loading bay doors, we'll never be able to blast through those doors in time."

"Yes, I'm aware of your objectives, the Lead Freighter Captain briefed me briefly just before I set out. But from the blue prints of the building that we managed to obtain earlier in one of the technical stations, the only two ways into and out of the main control room are either through the main docking/storage section, or a passage that leads to the front doors. So,

unfortunately, these are the only choices we have right now."

"Alright, fine, we'll do it. Will do you detect any warm bodied movements beyond the doors?"

"Not at the minute, but I would expect that some will come running once we blow off the first charge. and if that doesn't go through, we have to be quick with the second, because another pain of assault walkers could come around the corners anytime. My shields will be able to hold up against two of them, but four, would be like asking for suicide, for both you and me. Once we're inside, you guys need to break up, find the other doors that can access this room from another corridor and jam the door controls, and then finally turn our attention to the guards and walkers. Expect some company."

(Sorry guys, but it looks like I'll have to be alone for this part of the story. While I'm im the factory, i want you all to fly around the underground city and destroy as much defenses as possible, so the freighters can have a better chance at getting out of there.)

Alright, bring 'er around

Jaden pulled on the controls as he brought the fighter around into the correct position of attack.  As he pursued the fighter in front of him, a few things came into view.  The fighter wasn't even really a fighter, but a numerous amount of fighters combined together.  He could see the body of a small snubfighter, but it had a different cockpit area, and the engines were way out of line.  No shields, and it didn't look like it had very much firepower or manueverability.  It was obvious that the people who created these fighters were at a level of technology way lower than the New Republic.  They didn't even have the NR insignia on the fighters.

"Hey Chip, I just noticed something, those aren't even NR fighters," said Jaden

"I just noticed that too," said Chip

Well, we can take them out, but first, Hunter, get a more detailed scan on that fighter and send the information back to base.  We need to find out where those fighters came from, and why they are here right now.

Jaden quickly eliminated the fighter in his target area and moved on to a few more.  The fighters were quickly dispatched of my the squadron of 4 fighters, and along with the few fighters from Kaph.  After the fighters were done with, the 7 pilots quickly decended back towards the planet.

They half-half squadron of Aegis and Kaph decended through the atmosphere and made their way to the hole to the under-ice city that Kaph had found.  The commandos were now in, and Will was no where to be found and cut off of communication.  Aegis had one objective.  Keep air superiority, and make sure the defenses were all down before the Freighters had to leave.

(Sorry such a short post but I got cut off from what I was doing and I wanted to get this information in.  Jmac, now would be a good time for you to jump in and do what you were going to do)

Senior Crewman Than Sion had so much adrenaline pumping through his body that it wasn't even funny.  This was his first real taste of air combat, so ever since he got into his standard TIE fighter he had been on the edge.  Also since it was his first time he didn't pull anything risky.  He did what he was told and observed what the other, more experienced, pilots did.  So when everyone else flew into the massive opening in the ice, he followed.

I am going to have a hard time sleeping tonight with all this excitement, he thought.

(Kept it short and general since this is my first continued story thingy.  Please someone saysomething if I have to ask before posting a reply or something important like that.)

A set of five fighters rushed at the joined squadrons, releasing a deadly spray of energy as they charged.
"Evasive action, now!" Jaden cried out, swinging his ship around to dodge the death-bringing shots.
Turning his fighter, he fired back, consuming one of the enemy fighters almost immediately.
Now behind them, he span around again, attacking from behind. Suddenly, the fighters split up, three assaulting the others, the last turning to engage with Jaden. Jaden opened fire, but the other pilot rolled aside, avoiding fire and getting behind him. Jaden turned quickly, readying himself for the oncoming attack.
    It didn't come.
Burning scrap fell to the ground from were the enemy once flew. Lowering altitude was another fighter, a Tie-Avenger.
"This is Senior Crewman Demonic, I'm looking for Willtconq?"
Jaden was quick to reply. "This is Jaden, he's not exactly here at the moment."
    There was a silence.
"Ah damn, I was supposed to report to him. Anyways, to all you guys in Kaph, I'm back."

Jaden, I hope you don't mind how I used your character. This is probably the shortest post I've ever written, but I had writers block and I wanted to get into the story

The light glinting off of the surrounding ice gave the air a mystical, almost otherworldly quality as the fighters rocketed over the panicking city. Chippy led his miniature squadron up one man-made canyon and down another, darting between buildings and avoiding air traffic that was increasing by the nano-second. Terrified civilians took to the air, fearing the brutality that New Republic media fed down their throats, seeing the bombing and attack as proof that their worst nightmares were coming true.

"Stang," Rob shouted frustratedly as he cut throttle, dipping under a two man transport labeled "Nieman's Produce" and missing it by milimeters. "Where in the Hells of the Sith do they think they are going!"

"In our way", Jaden growled back, shooting his TIE over a walkway connecting two of the taller buildings. His quick eyes took in a pair of heavily armored police speeders heading for the squad, and his hands flew over the controls, cutting thrust and spinning his ship on it's axis, letting the atmospheric drag warp his turn and bring his lasers to bear on the incoming ships. Two seconds later they were slag, pinwheeling down to the underbelly of the city.

Suddenly his comm crackled and a voice he had never heard before. "Is there any particular reason that you are blowing up this city, or were you just bored?" It was lightly asked, almost casually, and yet there was an unmistakable air of command...the owner of the voice was used to having people jump when he spoke.

Jaden opened his mouth to send a quick retort to whoever had found their comm frequency and broken their scrambling, but Chipmunk Man beat him to it.

"This is an official mission of the Vast Empire. Keep out of our way, and you won't be harmed." While his words sounded strong, there was a definite...uneasiness in his words that those who had served with him for long enough could detect.

"I won't be harmed. I really do appreciate that offer, and the warning.." The nerf-herder actually had the audacity to sound amused! "But you of all people should know that you can't threaten the dead. I actually have no qualms with you turning this city into a crater, they are aiding the New Republic and are therefore traitors to the good people of the galaxy. I was merely curious."

A sleek black ship of a design that none of them had ever seen shot up to the formation, dipping around civilian ships and obstacles like they weren't even there. Jaden glanced down at his scanners, and his eyes widened in disbelief. Toggling a private comm to Chippy, he murmured "Chip, who the hell is this guy? My targeting computer doesn't think he's there, my scanners are showing nothing even vaguely resembling a ship...."

"I know, mine are saying the same thing. He sounds familiar though, and he knows our channels."

The newcomer spoke up again. "If you really want to do your jobs right, their main power generator is located here." Aegis and Kaph Squadrons computers suddenly lit up as new information was transmitted to them, recognizing the authorization coming from the new ship. "And their bureaucratic headquarters is here." More data flowed into the computers. "If you take out both of those locations, then their remaining defenses will probably fall, and they will think twice before helping usurpers to the rightful order. They are protected, but you shouldn't have too much trouble with their defenses."

The idea of an honorable fight is a joke. What is honorable about harming another human? To win a fight, you have to forget about honor, forget yourself, and lose yourself in a cold burning fire. You have to strike until your target stops moving, smile as they bleed, and kill what soon will be no more then a red pulp a thousand times in your heart before you commit to violence.

Sion had only gotten a glimpse of the black, mystery ship as it zoomed past his TIE. Even so there seemed to be something disturbing about it for a couple of reasons. One, that it didn't show up on the radar display. Actually, it didn't show up on any of his sensors. Two, it just gave him a weird vibe. When the pilot of the unidentifiable fighter spoke, it got even stranger. All of a sudden, two new coordinates downloaded into his computer. "This is getting too weird", he thought out loud.

"Kaph 2 reporting in, is everyone else getting the same readings as I am, or is my computer malfunctioning?"

Everyone one in the small group of Aegis and Kaph said something on the line of yes. But before he could contemplate further on the subject, two NR soldiers ran out onto a near by bridge with anti aircraft guns propped up on their shoulders. Sion let four bolts off, but at the same time one of the men fired off a rocket. He quickly swerved out of it's path and prepared for evasive, but the rocket just kept on going. Wow these guys
really are behind on technology, he thought. The bolts that he had let off must of been enough because he saw the scorched bodies on the bridge as he flew over.

A platoon of NR soldiers must have only recently made it to an armory since a few more anti-aircraft men had popped up into a light, defense tower. Idiots, he thought as he fired at the base of the tower, collapsing the floor from under them. The other members from the two squadrons where also putting up with the "ground threat."

"Why don't they give us a real challenge?" said a pilot whose name he didn't catch.

The slaughter of the anti air soldiers was over in minutes. It was almost as if they where trying to be easy targets. Almost as if they where a distraction from...

"This is Kaph 2 again, I think the anti air soldiers where here to keep us busy so the enemy could sneak up on us and......

(Tried not to put any words into anyone's mouth. I think I'm starting to get a hang of this thing.)

"This is Kaph 2 again, I think the anti-air soldiers where here to keep us busy so the enemy could sneak up on us and take us out with their real defenses."

"Interesting assesment, Kaph 2, but they haven't sent anything yet. Let's go with this mystery fighters directions for now. He seems to be on our side." Chipmunk man's voice came through Hunter's intercom. "Split into two groups. Aegis and the mystery fighter, follow me. We're going for the power generator. They will likely have that more heavily defended." As Chip spoke, his fighter lowered beneath an ice bridge and swerved to its port side, toward the generator's position. Hunter fell in behind him, while the other three pilots followed.

"I'll take Kaph's and hit the bureaucratic building," Kaph 1 said through the comunit. "We'll be doing this without Wilt."

Hunter didn't really hear the rest of what Kaph squadron's leader said as he scanned the area in front of him with both his computer's display and his own eyes. He glanced at the slick black fighter that the ally had arrived with. He couldn't tell what type of ship it was. Refocusing ahead, he saw a few more anti-air soldiers setting up some sort of cannon an ice ledge. Flicking his hands on the controls, he fired off two shots that turned the ice beneath the soldier's feet into water and steam. Either the scalding hot air that burst up toward them or the thrity meter drop below them killed the two soldiers, but Hunter stayed in formation.

"Power generator within one hundred meters. It's around the next turn." Jaden said. His fighter was directly to Hunter's left. The group of five fighters were flying through a trench, one side of which consisted of colonist buildings while the other was the icy wall that surrounded the city. Rounding the curve, the five fighters spotted the half cylinder sticking out from the side of a building. Laser fire shot into their midst, forcing them to break formation. Hunter pulled hard on his stick and brought the Interceptor up and out of the makeshift canyon. Geth was right with him. Finishing his loop, Hunter ended with his fighter pointing at a downward angle toward where the enemy fire had originated from. Three E-web cannons had been set up along with two soldiers carrying rocket launchers. Jinking to the left, Hunter fired a linked quad shot that directly hit one of the E-webs. As he swerved to the left, Geth flew in behind him and fired two dual linked shots at the same area.

A small explosion told Hunter that they had taken out one of the E-webs and maybe more. Bringing his ship back around, he saw that between the mystery fighter, CHipmunk, and Jaden, they had taken out the rest of the defenses. As the group came around for another pass, Hunter and Geth met up with them in mid-turn. Five fighters fired laser fire at the generator in unison. It's shields held the first shots at bay, but quickly fell against the next wave. As the fighters shot passed their target, the swung around for another pass.

Moving through the large piles of processed metals toward the main control room of the factory that was situated above the large warehouse like room. Suddenly the lights overhead flickered a few times, then blinked out. Will's view screens automatically switched to night visions as the sensors sensed the darkness outside. The commandos outside continued to move forward as if nothing happened. Looks like they've got Light Amplification goggles. Then, just as suddenly, the lights blinked on again. Not surprising, a city like is bound to have at least one if not two or three back up power generators. His view ports went back to normal, and Will saw that they now faced a tunnel that was only side enough for two men to walk side by side up the slope that obviously ran to the control room.

"Will, I'm sorry, but you're gonna have to stay behind. There's no way your tank is going to fit into there. Beta, let's go. Charlie you guys stay here with Will and guard this tunnel. And don't let me come back out and find you all dead." The Commando Leader ordered.

"No, I'm coming along." Will said as he climbed out of the hatch on top of the tank. "I can be of more help with this armor and my weapons. One of you Charlie's can get in there and use it as long as I don't notice that you've been in there." As will got to the floor, he turned 360 degrees in a circle and scanned the large room with the armor's sensors. "I can tell you right now that we're all being watched." He lifted his armed which held the combat system and waited for a target lock. a continuous beep sounded as the targeting computer got a lock on one of the cameras around the room, and he fired a single shot, and a small explosion went off near the ceiling. Will continued to do so as he he locked onto each and every sensors in the room and destroyed all of them.

"Kaph five to Kaph Leader." Will clicked on his comm unit ans spoke into it.

"Will! Nice to hear from you. How's it going in there? Aegis seemed to have destroyed the main power generator, but they already have the backup running."

"Yes, I've noticed. We're already inside the warehouse. But the loading doors are locked and we're heading toward the control room to see if we can get that portion of the mission accomplished. and I have an idea on how we could do it really quick."

"Ok, but hurry up and open the doors as fast you can. We have air superiority out here, but we can't hold the small army advancing on the freighters forever. In other words, we need your tank out here. Kaph Leader out."

"Someone's approaching down the tunnel." one of the commandos warned.

Will ducted behind one of the piles of metals and continued to shoot as he got locks on sensors and small turrets that were off-line to conceal themselves. Whoever controlling these things meant to surprise us when we get back out, looks like his plan failed.

"Clear. Will are you coming or not?! We don't have all day to wait for you here and blast this place to pieces."

"I just contacted with Kaph Leader. The local militias are advancing on the freighters. Take my tank out there and give them a hand. We should be fine from here."

"What do you mean?! I'm not sending one of my teams back until we have accomplished our mission. Now hurry up, or else we're leaving without you."

"Hold on, there's just one more thing I needed to do before we go." Will activated his repulsorlift and flew up toward the ceiling. He zoomed in on the view ports of the control and saw through them the faces of the men inside and their awed expressions on their face as they watched him hover in mid air, before he blasted out the view ports and the men inside with a continuous sweep of fire from his weapon. He watched his handy work with satisfaction as he flew toward the smoking room that smelled of burning flesh. Will kicked out the remaining pieces of transparisteel view ports and climbed inside.

"Ok, I'm inside the control room. Where is the switch that will activate the doors?"

"It should be on the wall to your right with a number of buttons. Activate them."

"Ok, I see them. Stand by." Will flipped the three switches that stood apart from the rest, and hoped against hope that the doors will open.

They didn't.

Instead, a wail of siren went off throughout the facility.

"Sithspawn." Will cursed. "It seems that they have a security system that will go off when the doors are not opened accordingly to the timed schedule. The next fleet of transports are not due in another fourteen hours." Will quickly reported the situation of the commandos. "Man the tank! someone. expect some companies!"

Will fired into a panel with blinking lights hoping that it was the alarm control. The siren died off. But it was only a matter of minutes before the entire enemy force, or what's left of it, showed up with more than they can ever handle.

Sion followed Kaph 1 toward the Bureaucratic building,  because his TIE was a lot slower than Kaph 1's. Out of nowhere, a squadron of X-Wings and a squadron of A-Wings were detected on their long-range scanners.

"Kaph 2, I think your hunch was right. I don't think we can take all 24 of them with our 8. They have more protons and cluster seeker missiles than we can handle. This is going to be a problem," said Kaph leader.

The enemy was coming from all directions. They would be in shooting range in only minutes. Kaph 1 made it clear that the two flights of Kaph couldn't take on all the enemy fighters. There was only one way out. Than Sion dove into one of the man made canyons. The other pilots must of gotten the same idea since the took the dive at the exact same time he did. So much for taking out the Bureaucratic building, he thought.

"This is Kaph 1, I am happy you guys figured out so quickly to dive into the canyon. But we're not safe yet. They will figure out where we went almost as quickly as we figured out to come down here. We have to take them out, one by one, as they fly down into this canyon. That is the only way we can survive."

Before Denethor could go any further, a couple of A-Wings swooped down into the canyon. Sion got a laser lock onto one of them almost immediately. He pulled the trigger and took a few shots at the bottom of the left engine. It destabilized and hit the ice wall in a cloud of fire and debris. The other one flew back out of the canyon before Sion could get a lock on him.

"This is Kaph 2, I think we are going to have company soon."

On cue, a flight of X-Wings flew into the ice canyon. They were the
greatest problem because they had the most firepower out of all the present NR fighters. Sion knew he had no chance against them. He let off a few pot shots, made as sharp a turn as he could without hitting the wall, and flew as fast as he could the other way. The laser lock alarm went off, one of the X-Wings was trailing him. He jinked to the left and missed a laser bolt by only a hair. He continued to swerve from the energy bolts.
He heard a couple of explosion behind him. His targeting computer showed two less X-Wings, but still the one trailing him. I can't take this for much longer, he thought. Then his worst fear came true, the X-Wing began to fire crazily. Than Sion dodged as many shots as he could. He pulled out of the Canyon in desperation. But a couple of shots hit home.

"This is Kaph 2, mayday, mayday, I'm going down. Ahhhhhhhh."

The ground came closer and closer by the second. In a last desperate attempt, he put the hex panel parallel to the ground.
He heard an explosion and everything went black. Am I dead, he thought to himself. But then he opened his eye and saw the cockpit was still intact. He popped the hatch and rolled out. The Hex panel he had landed on was completely demolished but the rest of the TIE had survived the crash landing. He tore off his helmet and looked around. When he got a sense of his surroundings, he smiled. He was next to an anti air craft turret.

"This is Kaph 2, I have crash landed safely. I am going to take control of a turret. I shall set off a emergency beacon when I do so you don't accidentally blow me up. Over and out."

It wasn't hard to do since it had been abandoned. The door was even wide open. He got behind the simple controls and set off the emergency beacon as planed. He began firing at the enemy fighters.

(wOOt, and Will, I don't usually use the spell check, but I'll start)

"That backup generator isn't very fun," said Jaden, "Hopefully will and his teams get to that other generator soon, I don't think we'll last"

"Kaph 2 to Aegis 4, I have taken control of a turret and have activiated the emergency beacon.  Make sure to look out for me while you guys are shooting at the ground targets," said Than Sion.

"Aegis 4 to Kaph 1, this is Jaden, I heard that one of your boys just made groundfall and you guys are in a bit of a rucus.  Need some assistance?" asked Jaden

"It'd be appreciated," Den grunted, sounding like he was struggling with his fighter.

"Aegis 4 to Aegis 1, Kaph has requested our help in bailing them out and helping with the assualt on the beauracratic building," said Jaden, "Orders?"

"Move in and sweep up some of the NR fighters.  Gemini and Geth, I want you to take out some of the enemy anti-air platoons on the ground surrounding the bureaucratic building so that a few of our bombers can make a clean run on the building.  The rest of you, get in and take out the pursuing fighters behind Kaph squadron.  They have already lost one of their pilots, but he is still alive, and we don't want any of ours going down," said Chip

Jaden brought his fighter around behind Chippo and Hunters.  The anticipation of battle wasn't too great this time as it was other missions, but it was getting up there.  Chip and Hunter flew calmly and switfly across the western ice wall of the city.  The bureaucratic building came into sight sending Gemini and Geth on their way.  Little black dots signified the anti-air soldiers on the ground, but Aegis squadrons attention was sent to the south, where Kaph was pinned down in a small valley.

"Jaden and Hunter, form on my wing.  We are going to flank the fighters from the left side and see if we can pick a few of them off.  Stay in formation, we need these kills," said Chip, bringing his fighter around the right.  Jaden and Hunter quickly followed around the the arc of the flight pattern.  Just as they came into the middle of the turn, the NR squadron came into view.  About 5 fighters were above the valley following Kaph squadron, while the other 4 fighters were in the valley chasing Kaph.

"Aegis 4 to Aegis 1, fighters in range, permission to engage?" asked Jaden

"Permission granted.  Aegis 3, follow him on the attack run," said Chip

Gemini frowned.
"What the hell...now, must...no...But...fine--" Gemini cut the communication's link and sat back. Her short blue hair cascaded down the head leaning of her pilots seat. Barely back into the navy and she was called back coincidently to her old squad Aegis.
"Im not getting a good feeling about this" she muttered softly.

"This is Aegis 4, please identify yourself" Gemini smiled a light bit hearing her old squadron mate's voice over the tiny voice box.
"Aegis 6, Crewman Gemini reporting for duty"
A few minutes passed as Gemini continued making her way towards the air battle a few miles ahead. She risked the chance of taking her headset off to check wheter or not it was working.
"Welcome back Gemini, and move your ass, you weren't that active when you were on duty, I expect more of you this time" threatened Jaden over the ComLink. Gemini meekly nodded, not sure whether the heat of battle was causing his threats or if he really meant it.

They have already lost one of their pilots, but he is still alive, and we don't want any of ours going down,"

Well that's dear old Chip's voice, that's for sure

Gemini bough her ship down, and increased her speed to maximum. Seconds later she levelled with Geth. She longed to open the hatch of her ship, to feel the blustery wind whipping in her face as she sped down towards the surface. Blaster bolts accompanied by a shower of red lasers came their way, and she had to veer with all her might to the left to stop death from claiming her. For a second her courage failed her, but scraping her guts together, she frowned and concentrated with more determination to fulfil her mission.

Her thumbs resting on the triggers of her weaponry squeezed in reaction seeing the first black dot forming shape, and taking the stature of a soldier carrying a missile launcher. Blood splattered the concrete pavement around him as one of her laser bolts made a clean job of hitting his neck.  Ignoring the gruesome act she just committed she continued her flight. She stole a quick glance upwards to the black mysterious ship hovering and sprinting between Kaph and Aegis seemingly on their side. Her glance shifted back to the front in less then a nanosecond.

"Lets get going" she muttered to her self spotting the assaulting mass of the platoon underneath. She flew over them banging the sound border as well when she dropped missiles to the ground. The missiles dropped like rocks in water in the platoon scattering the well-formed lines out of order.

"Gem, you go for the left flank, and I for the right. Then we switch after a minute, confusing them" suggested Geth.
"Roger that G" replied Gemini leaning over to her panel to deactivate and activate the different functions of her ship to suit her current situation.

Kal winced as his Tie avenger shook from the defense turret's fire. His shields were holding up nicely against the occasional shot, but every time the fighter shook this feeling of fear came over him: "What if the hull got burnt?". Many pilots enjoyed having their fighter banged up a bit, like scars of war.
"It gives your fighter character." His flight instructor in the resistance told him. "Shows your enemies that your not new to battle."
The thought of allowing such damage to go unchecked was appalling to the young pilot. Why let something so beautiful suffer? Perfection in his fighter was Kal's passion, his obsession even. He was always working on it, tuning it up or polishing it. He had the controls set exactly how he liked them. The cockpit window was so clean it was hardly noticeable. The fighter seemed good as the day it was made. Actually, in Kal's opinion, it was better. He had taken care to rewire, adjust, and tune every part of the fighter into perfection. The factory build just wasn't good enough for him. The fighter was his pride and joy.
And now, his first worry, instead of for his life, like most reasonable people would, was for his new paint job.
"So, you wanna play, huh?" He muttered to himself, his hand drifting over to the missile control panel, bringing up the targeting screen.
    "Hope you enjoy fireworks."
He fired a pair of missiles into the turrets, their explosions ripping the set up instantly. Smoke rose to the air as flaming debris fell to the ground.
"Good shot pilot." A voice rang out over the com.
"The aegis commander." He thought to himself, racking his memory. "Chip or something."
"Thanks." He responded, turning around to attack a set of ground troops causing trouble. Already engaging them were two pilots, also from Aegis.
"This is Demonic of Kaph, moving in to support."

Jaden's hands moved quickly all over the dashboard of the Hornet Interceptor.  He quickly brought up his targetting computer and switched over to advanced missiles.  The targetting computer listed 3 X-wings above the valley, along with 2 A-wings.

The helmet started to fog up from all of the heavy breathing Jaden had been doing lately, so he slipped it off, but kept his oxygen mask on.  His long gray hair fell out of the helmet as he pulled it up off of his head; his vision much better now.  Jaden quickly pulled up the targeting redicule and got a lock on two of the X-wings.

"Aegis 4, 1 and 2 are gone," said Jaden, watching as the missiles emerged from his fighter and shot towards the unsuspecting X-wings.  One of the X-wings took a huge hit to the aft, loosing control near the peak of a mountain top.  The fighter skipped right over the peak and smashed into an oncoming friendly A-wing.  Jaden chuckled as he watched the show, but the other X-wing he had targeted was having better chances with his trailing missile.  The fighter twisted portside; the missile coming up on its belly.  With another move in the wrong direction, the fighter was cracked in two by the explosion of the missile in its underbelly.  Jaden could see the pilot eject before he was taken by the undergoing of his fighter.

"Two X-wings and one A-wing down," said Jaden, chuckling like a little child, "Did anyone see that besides me?" he asked

Chip popped in on the comm system, "Yea, 3 birds, 2 stones, that was pretty impressive.  Alright, now you two clean up the rest of the fighters above the valley, I've already corraled up a few of my own down here.  It looks like Gemini and Geth are doing well with the ground forces consisting of turrets and anti-air soldiers.  Keep it up," said Chip

Aegis 3, form up on my wing.  We are going to take the remaining X-wing and A-wing in one quick attack," said Jaden

"Copy that," said Hunter, "Aegis 3 forming on your wing"

Jaden brought his fighter to bear beind the two New Republic fighters.  The fighters quickly caught attention of their pursuers and broke formation.  They quickly started descending into the valley, barely skimming across the fjords surface.  Jaden dropped his fighter down quickly, but smoothly, at an angel.  Hunter came from behind and pulled ahead.

"Alright, Hunter, lay down some crossfire just before their noses, to catch them off guard.  Once they start to lose their stability, I'm going to come around on the right and give that A-wing a few bursts to the aft.  That should send him up from the valley, giving you to the chance to get rid of him," said Jaden, "I'll try to take some paint off that X-wing.  When you are finished, jump over and help me take it out"

"Affirmative," said Hunter.  His tie interceptor moved at a downward angle of 45 degrees - a perfect angel for the crossfire.  Jaden pulled to the right slightly, watching as Hunter unloaded an array of green lasers.  They landed in the perfect spot, sending the NR fighters into confusion.  The two fighters started speeding up, so Jaden compensated by opening up the trottle a little more on the fighter.  He lunged forward quickly, bringing up his targetting computer.  He pulled up the A-wing; its sheilds were evenly distributed throughout the fighter.  The hornet interceptor pulled up closer to the fighter, but the A-wing started to pull away.  Jaden flashed over to quad lasers and let off a few shots in its aft end, splitting the shield percentage in half.  The A-wing quickly reacted just like Jaden anticipated.  It quickly ascended up the side of the valley and shot out.  Jaden switched the targeting computer over to the X-wing.  It seemed to be a different model than the ones he had encountered earlier, an older model.  Jaden switched to linked lasers and let off a few bursts at the X-wing, barely knocking it off course.  The x-wing pulled up out of the valley just like the A-wing.  Jaden quickly followed the NR fighter in the arc, occasionally letting off a few bursts into the belly of the fighter, weakening the shield, but something started beeping on his targetting computer.  Missle break! it read, but Jaden couldn't figure out where it was coming from.  It took a few minutes, but he finally found the problem.  Hunter had just finished off his fighter, and then disposed of the remaining X-wing with one of his missiles.  New Republic reinforcements had arrived - the worst thing that could probably happen.  Jaden pulled up quickly and snapped over to his comm system.

"Chip, I hope that you, Geth, and Gemini just realized that we have company.  Pull out of the attack, we are in serious trouble," said Jaden

"Just noticed the blips on the radar.  Looks like they brought in an MC-80 and and two mixed-squadrons of fighters," said Chip, "I'm callin in reinforcements"

"Good to hear that, We need to regroup," said Jaden, switching over to the main channel, "Kaph, keep pursuing the rest of those fighters, there are only a few left.  We are calling in reinforcements - More NR forces have arrived, check your targeting computers," said Jaden, "All Aegis and remaining air units regroup on Aegis 1's position"

*****

Kaph had finally finished off the fighters, and the ground forces were pinned down.  The backup shield generator didn't look like it was going down anytime soon. Will had called in and reported the entire thing.  NR main forces had ambushed them when the alarms went off.  The main political forces would have to be taken care of before the NR units were going to back off.

A reinforcement team had arrived; The VSD "Brood" and a squadron of tie interceptors designated Beta Squadron.

"Aegis 4 to Beta Squadron leader, meet us at 14 degrees west, 12 degrees south, we are regrouping for the attack run on the recently arrived NR forces," said Jaden, "Your status?"

A crackled voice came back, "We are on our way, but it looks like we have one of your new recruits with us," said the commander, "Crewman Piter DeVries, here he is now, we are bringing him over"

"Crewman DeVries, reporting for duty," said Piter, "At your immediate disposal"

"Alright, see if you can get over to us before Beta Squadron does.  We need to regroup and give you the game plan," said Chip

"On my way," said Piter

Piter smoothly guided his fighter inline with the other fighters that had just been launched from the carrier, he had been sent with the reinforcements...this was his first ever live combat mission, he wasn't gonna screw it up.

He checked the various controls and instrumentation in the cockpit of his standard TIE, left over from training...fuel levels were optimum, engine tempreture was nominal, it was time for action..he and the other pilots saw the new republic force in view, they accelerated.

with the twin ion engines screaming out directly behind his head, so loud he could faintly hear them though his sealed helmet.

He noticed Aegis Squadron and then he saw the new republic ships in the background "damn rebels" mused Piter. He turned on his tongue activated comlink (much like in a stormtrooper helmet) "this is Crewman DeVries, commander at your disposal." DeVries managed a slight smile as he heard the other squadron members greeting him, he manuvered his fighter into formation with the others and waited...silently...for the action.

After destroying the X-wing, Hunter had heard Jaden over the comunit. Looking down at his radar, he saw the same blips everyone else had probably already seen. Following Jaden's orders, Hunter switched his targeting computer over to allies and quickly found his leaders coordinates. Switching it back to its proper setting, Hunter spun his fighter around and followed Jaden as he flew to join the formation of fighters.

Looking down at his screen, Hunter filed through the incoming NR fighters. He knew that the MC-80 was going to pose a threat, but he supposed the VSD might take care of that. Another squadron of X-wings, but Y-wings with them this time. We'll probably have to take care of the Y-wings before they disable the Brood, but those X-wings are going to be a pain as well. We have most of Kaph, an extra pilot to Aegis, and Beta squadron. This is going to be a tough fight, but the odds are mostly even. Hunter's mind was shooting through possible battle scenarios when he caught himself. I'm thinking too much. Why can't I just rely on skill and follow the squadron commander's orders.

Hunter had always thought about things from every possible direction, planning scenarios with back up plans behind contingencies. He sometimes lost himself in his thoughts, which was dangerous in the middle of a dog fight. Pulling his thoughts back into himself, Hunter regained control of himself, and brought his fighter into position in the Aegis squadron's formation. Kaph was taking the point of the three squadrons, while Aegis flew to their left and half of Beta form the right flank. They formed a pointed screen below the VSD, to protect it from the main shots fired at it from the NR fighters. The rest of Beta had been sent to capture or destroy the political building, which would hopefully stop the NR from sending any more forces.

Chip's voice came over Hunters speaker saying, "We are going to engage the fighters. Kaph is going to attack the X-wings along with half of Beta squadron, while we hit the Y-wing hard and fast. We should be able to take them out with little resistance. Don't let them get close enough to the Brood to land one shot. Once the Y-wings are taken care of we'll help take down the MC-80. Any question while we have the time?"

Hunter looked at his screen and saw that the two forces were quickly approaching each other. There was silence on the line for a few seconds. "Good, Stay alive through this one. Let's show them that it will take more than few ships to take Aegis down." Hunter could tell that Chip's last words were more for lifting spirits and boosting the other pilot's bravery. He's a good leader. Scanning over his fighter's display, he assessed his damage and found he had faired well through the last few encounters. I just have to stay alive a little longer.

The combined forces of Kaph and Aegis took out the two NR squadrons before Than Sion could even get a single kill with the turret.  He used the repair kit in, what was left of, his TIE to "disable the turret controls."  It was more like removing a critical piece of the controls just in case he needed to return.  They won't be getting this thing to shoot any time soon, he thought with a smirk on his face.  The downed pilot had gotten the message about the NR reinforcements over his comlink.  Just what we need, more Rebel scum, he thought out load.

Sion began to contemplate on how he was going to get out of here when the comlink crackled to life once more, "We are going to engage the fighters. Any question while we have the time?" said chip.

I got one, when are you guys going to finally take out the stupid Bureaucratic Building, Sion thought to himself.  It would take them some time to deal with the new air threat, so he grabbed his E-11 and began the short journey to the Bureaucratic building.  When the building came into sight, he started to get second thoughts about his choice.  It was a large; three stories building that was lined with window on the two top floors.  That wasn't the part that made him back behind the nearest cargo crate.  It was the six heavy gun turrets, the men on the roof with the heavy repeating rifles, and the dozen or so soldiers that were standing around the building.

He quickly retreated from the site.  He headed back to the gun turret.

(Note that I removed the disableing the turret violentally from the post.)

Jaden searched around in the cockpit for his helmet.  Weather conditions were getting pretty ugly on Bokura; visibility was down to 50%.  Thick layers of clouds had started to cover the lower atmosphere where the main imperial forces were flying.  Jaden finally found the helmet and put it on.  He could feel the condensation in the helmet as he put it over his face.  The metal on his arms and legs also started to get cold.  The radar showed the Y-wings were 5 klicks away and counting.  Jaden looked through the clouds; he couldn't find them.

"Weather is getting bad, everyone switch over to your thermal targetting visors.  We are going sweep in and try to take them out in the blind," said Jaden, "Chip, whats your status"

"I just switched over, 3 klicks and counting.  at 2 klicks, engage the Y-wings," said Chip, "Not one of those bombers is to get a shot off at the VSD."

Jaden flipped up his thermal targetting visor on his helmet.  The scenery of the sky suddenly changed from a light blue to a light orange.  The fighters quickly started coming into view from the fog.  The targetting computer read 2 klicks.

"Aegis 4 engaging," said Jaden, bringing the fighter higher.  The rest of the squadron did the same, so easily passing over the dumbfounded Y-wings.

"Slingshot around and engage the fighters," said Jaden, bringing his fighter to bear on the Y-wings.  They were just sitting in a row in front of him, then something happened.  Turbo laser fire from the rear.  Jaden quickly pulled away, but the shields were down.

"The starcruiser was right behind the Y-wings!," said Jaden, "I've lost all shields and part of my hull."

Jaden tried to pull away from the turbolaser fire, but it kept skimming across the hex panels, knocking the fighter around.  Jaden fought the fighter out of the turbolaser fire, but right into more trouble.  A newly arrived small squadron of the uglies just came into play.  Bad news.  The fighters immediatly started firing on the hornet interceptor.

"DAMN!," yelled Jaden into the comunit, "They are everywhere, someone cover me"

"Jaden, dive now!" yelled Chip.  3 of the new fighters were teaming up.

Jaden pulled the fighter below the blaster fire and rolled to the right; the hull was down to 40%.  Jaden pushed the thrusters to full, but it took some time for the engines to react.  They were going bad.  Weapons systems were at full, but the targetting computer seemed to be acting up also.  Jaden fought to keep the fighter steady; the stabalizers were going bad.

"Aegis 4, my systems are acting up, especially my ion engines," said Jaden, "I'll be flying, but not as well as I usally do, I'm having a hard time keeping this thing in the air"

"Fix it, you had the training," commanded Chip, "We have taken down a few of those new fighters, but the Y-wings are our main objective.  Those 3 fighters are still floating around somewhere"

"Alright, Aegis 4 out," said Jaden, pushing the throttle to full; trying to get as much power to the engines as possible.  The targetting computer still worked, the screen just flipped every once and a while.  It was fixable.  But the engines would take more time.  The 3 uglies were no where to be seen.  Jaden brought the fighter lower to the surface above a small hill - something came into view, an alcove place in the middle of the hill.  The alcove looked like it had just enough room for the fighter, so Jaden glided the hornet interceptor in.

****

After Jaden was back in the air, he did a double check on the systems.  Everything was good to go.

"Chip, whats your status?" called Jaden

"Half of the Y-wings down, but we found those three fighters.  They are 2 klicks behind us," said Chip, "I see you got those repairs done, move your ass and help us"

"Affirmative," called back Jaden.  The fighter was now luckily repaired.  He could stay in the battle and help out his squadron mates.

Kaph was busy with the X-wings, and Beta Squadron was slowly, but surely, loosing pilots.  Than Sion, still on the ground, was helping.  His kill count was now getting close to 5 - an Ace pilot count, coming from a turret.  The small squadron of X-wings put up a hard fight against Kaph and Beta.  The MC-80 was also starting to come into play.  It was slowly moving on an intercept course with the Brood.

A few minutes after takeoff, Jaden found the Y-wings.  They were 2 klicks from the Brood, but there was only

"Aegis 4 to Kaph 1," said Jaden, "Whats your status with the X-wings"

"4 left," said Den, "But the MC-80 keeps spitting out fighters.  They can't have much left"

"This is Chipmunk man, we have 2 Y-wings left.  In a few minutes, they should be taken care of.  Need our assistance with those fighters," asked Chip

"We could use it.  We have almost lost all of our part of Beta Squadron now," said Den, "See you in a few"

Hunter, Geth, and Gemini scuttled over to help Kaph.  Jaden could see the Y-wings not too much further ahead.  Chip had already engaged the left one, so Jaden chose the right bomber.  It moved a lot slower than the rest of the bombers for some reason.  Jaden pulled up the bomber on his targetting computer.  There was no reason for it to be running so slow, it was at full systems.  Jaden pulled the fighter lower, looking at the underbelly of the bomber.  There was something large, very large, attached to the fighter.  After a few more seconds of examination, Jaden figured out what it was.

"Chip, look under that Y-wing," said Jaden, "It got a huge bomb under its belly"

"...Take it out...now," said a voice.

"Who said that," yelled Jaden

"It's me, remember?" said the voice, then Jaden noticed.  The death black fighter was now flying right beside him.

"You...you got us into this mess," said Jaden, "Now you expect me to believe you?"

"Of course, why wouldn't you?  It looks like you have nothing to lose.  And just for your information, that thing on the Y-wing - It's a bomb with enough power to take out your VSD," said the voice.

"Who are you!?," Jaden yelled into the comunit.

"Just an informant," said the voice, then it cut off.

"Chip, did you hear that?  I'm engaging that fighter," said Jaden, smashing the throttle into the forward positoin.  The fighter lept forward, going strait for the Y-wing.  Jaden could see the bomer throught the targetting redicule.  1, 2, 3 it beeped green, then he fired.  The Y-wing took all of the shots, its left engine splitting fromt he fighter.  It took a spin, but not before smashing right into the side of an ice hill below.

The battle against the new enemy ships was almost over.  Than Sion was about ready to leave the commandeered turret when something from outside caught his sight.  A rocket trooper had popped out of a hatch on top of one of the surrounding buildings.  Sion quickly put the man into his sites and blew two large holes through him.  These guys really are a bunch of idiots he thought.  Even if he would have gotten a shot off, a turret of this caliber would have taken the blast.  Then he would have had to reload and I would have gotten him anyways.  One of the uglies decided to test his luck with the turret; the ugly flew down and fired upon the heavy turret.  He got a few shots off before Than Sion blasted him to pieces.  It's dumb and dumber, Sion thought out load.

(Sorry it took so long to change the post.  I haven't had much time to get on the computer this week.  This is extremely short since I'm also busy today.  Plus it is only a fill in.)

Will fired away with his guns and his interchangeable weapon system, now a rocket launcher at the four walkers and about fifty men that now surrounded the twelve commandos. The local infantry were no problem for the trained commandos, but the walkers were proving to be a problem. After what they saw outside the door from the way they came in they learned that the tank would aim for their legs, so they ran around moving as much as possible. One of the five walkers that came was already down, but that was ten minutes ago.

They seemed to be loosing the fight, three of the commandos were already down, including the leader. If they don't think of something soon, we're all going to die a horrible death. Will restarted his repulsorlifts and flew into the air again. He flew as far up and away from the walker as possible to get an easier lock on the targeting computer. Soon enough, a constant beep went through his helmet. He fired once, twice, and two missiles streaked away toward one of the walkers, hitting it in the legs, and taking down four enemy infantry with the exploding shrapnel that tore through their flesh and turning their remains into smoke and dried blood.

Two of the three remaining walkers turned to Will and fired at him now instead of the commandos and the tank. Will adjusted his repulsorlifts accordingly to avoid the lasers from the two walkers, but all the movements also made it impossible for his targeting computer to get a lock on the walkers. By switching their attention to Will, the only walker that fired at the tank made it a lot easier for the commandos and the tank to take it out, which they did as they seized their one and only chance. with a damaged leg, the walker tripped ove one of its fallen comrades and smashed into a pile of processed metals, exploding, as it's view ports and the guns were crushed.

The pilot in the tank decided that he wanted to try something new, and increase forward throttle. Once it lined up with both of the walkers, the pilot pushed the throttle to full reverse. The tank jolted backward and slammed into the side of one walker, buckling its leg at the knees. The pilot quickly moved forward, turned, and fire a series of turbolaser shots into the side of the walker. the walker swayed a little on its remaining leg, then finally fell to the other side, bumping into the last walker as it went down, taking the other one with it.

"Sorry, Sir," the tank pilot said through the comm, "that was the fastest way i could think of to get you out of their fire and destroy them." Although the walkers were destroyed, the new tank did, however, get a few dents along the back of the control pod.

"No major harm done, nothing serious, I hope." Will replied. "Now, are any of you slicers?"

"Yea, we can all do some slicing, but Billy here's the expert." The second in command of the commando team, said, point to one of the commandos. "What do you have in mind?"

"If we can't open those doors through the control room, then we'll just have to do it the old fashioned way, hot-wire." Will said with a little smile on his face, "And let us hope that Billy here is not as bad as Han Solo when he tried to hot-wire the bunker doors on Endor."

"Will, you'd better get those doors open quick!" Den yelled through the comm with a certain tightness about his voice, "these grounded forces of theirs are bearing down upon the freighters. There's just too many of them. While we were gone dogfighting with the two squadrons of NR fighters, they sent out about a hundred of rocket launchers. One of the freighters have already been destroyed! The shields on the second one aren't going to hold up much longer."

"We're trying. We got surrounded by five AT-XT walkers and about fifty of infantry. We took care of them, but now we're trying to hot-wire the doors to get them open."

"Well, just hurry up! Kaph Leader out."

By the time the commandos got one of the doors open, the second freighter was almost in ruins. "One of the doors are open. Send in the freighter that's in best conditions." Will said to the Captain of the landing force.

"Roger, freighter two engaging repulsorlifts now."

"Alright, you guys, they need me out there, so I'm heading out with the tank." Will pointed a thumb to his back, turned, and started a light job to where the freighters were. The tank on the other hand, moved forward at full speed, and passed him soon after they left the cargo bay doors.

When Will reached the edge where the factory ended and the view of the city came into view, he activated his repulsorlifts once again, and hovered higher into the sky. He gently landed on a ledge, changed his weapon system into a sniper rifle and peered through the scope at various point of the city where rockets were flying from. He adjusted the zoom and focused on a group of rocket launchers. Three were firing from that particular spot, and Will squeezed his trigger three times. The first shot caught the left guy in the leg, causing him to fall from the small hole he was hiding from; the second scored a head shot, and the dead body also fell to the ice far below; the third shot hit the last rocket launcher in the shoulder, spinning him farther into the cave, but he didn't emerge again, and Will assumed his target as dead. Will engaged his repulsorlifts once again and moved to a different spot on the building, in case he drew attention, that way, no one will know where he is. He continued to snipe two or three at each place until there were less than half of the rocket infantry that were still alive.

The tank on the other hand did a tremendous job on clearing the battle field with its laser cannons and its portable shield did a very good job to reduce hits. Will was surprised that none of the rocket launchers fired at it, not that he wanted it to be destroyed. The he realized that it too, was hiding, only it was behind the freighter the rocket infantry was aiming at.

(Finally got around to post again. I'm not waiting for Than Sion to edit his post because since he's on his own, there's no need to hold everyone back. Please continue with the story.)

Gemini flipped her self away from her designated target as Chipmunk's command.
"This is Aegis 6, over" she said over her headset.
"Aegis 6, this is Kaph 1, get rid of the x-wings!"
"On it" sounded Hunter's calm voice through the headset. Gemini pulled ninety degrees up before flipping her self over to the face the x wing head on.

"Aegis3 cover me!" she shouted, activating her shield's power up to maximum.
"Got it 6, distraction method?" asked Hunter knowingly.
"Ya" answered Gemini back distractedly.
"Gem, we're supposed to stay with Den,
"Yes, yes" answered Gemini, her mind to far away to comprehend what Hunter was saying. She heard him mutter something about that she owes him before she zones out, and honed her concentration on the pesky fly in front of her.
Her mind ran over the few possibilities that could happen. She hoped Geth and Den were keeping the other x-wings at bay, at least until she and Hunter disposed of this pesky one right up front. Her designated target seemed arrogant and cocky, proud at the lives he ended today without losing his own as well in the process.

As if being drunk, she swerved to right and back, or dipping for a few hundred feet letting her self free fall, while allowing the x-wing to follow her. She constantly dodged in and out behind clouds though to no avail. A raider held much more then a misty cloud did.

"Hunter!"  Gemini shouted out panicky as the x-wing target locked on her. She expected a barrage of laser canyons heading her way, to cease her life with on big explosion, she squeezed her eyes shut, not having the guts to face her seemingly oncoming death. But to her surprise the x-wing blew to smithereens as two laser canyons hit it from opposite directions. The shields ripped apart, robbing the pilot of any protection, thus ending his life.

"This is Aegis 1 to Aegis 6, stay in your formation, you were sent to help Kaph 1, not fly solo" Chipmunk didn't sound so impressed as he turned his ship back to its previous engagement. An awkward silence followed as Gemini hastily directed her sip back to Den's side.
"You owe me big Gem, I could have been in a lot of crap flying out with you" said Hunter over the headset.
Gemini merely grumbled, to embarrassed to say something.

"Move in guys, one wing down, three to go" ordered Den's voice.

Captain Jec Narrat of the Dreadnought Counterpunch leaned over the comm officer's console.

"New orders, sir.  We are to transit to the Bokura system with all due speed and reinforce Imperial forces there.  We also are to deliver the latest batch of pilots to Kaph Squadron, which is currently engaged there."

Captain Narrat replied, "Very well.  We are only ten minutes away."

He began issuing orders.  "Set course for the Bokura system, full speed.  All hands to battle stations."  He looked over at his starfighter coordinator.  "Ready all fighters."

*    *    *

The Counterpunch arrived in-system, near the fighting, and began dumping its fighter squadrons, Delta squadron, in TIE fighters, and the flight of Kaph recruits, in their Interceptors.  The ship's shields were already up, and weapons were targeting the nearest enemies.

Delta Squadron flew off towards the planet to assist the commandos and/or Kaph/Aegis Squadrons.

Garris opened a channel on the Kaph frequency and said, "Kaph Leader, you have Kaphs three, four, six, and seven at your disposal.  Where do you want us to go?"

Lt. Denethor's voice came back strained: "Get over here and help with these blasted fighters!  They're all over us!"

"Copy that.  Moving to engage."

Garris's gut was having its own dogfight.  He'd seen little combat in his lifetime, and none since signing up.

The group of four fighters went down into the atmosphere, encountering bad weather and turbulence.  Immediately, concentrated laserfire spiraled out to greet them.  There, blocking their path, was a New Republic cruiser that was attempting to get to space&

"Reinforcements..." Demonic thought to himself. He opened up his communications.
"Alright, Cheatle, Russell, form up on me!" he said, shifting his course towards a battery planetary weapons. Once they formed the flight, he spoke again.
"Alright, lets hit that battery; We don't want them taking any shots at that dreadnaught."
    "Got it."
    "Yep."
Kal smiled. This would be fun.
"Alright, focus on the anti-fighter turrets, I'll take out the generator structure with my missiles. Remember to fly defensively."
He smiled as they flew onwards into attack.

The air was filled with enemy fire, the fighters constantly moving to evade. Seeing that the other two were having no problems with the turrets, he started to target the generator.
Then he stopped. Something was wrong.
"Guys, pull back!" He screamed as he made a quick 180, as he saw the set of fighters fly up from out of structure.
"Alright,  get ready to turn around and make an attack against those fighters."
Plans raced through his head as he waited for the perfect moment.
"Now!" He called out, and they turned around and met the pursuing fighters...

Just a short post, had to go. Just wanted to set up Cheatle and JSRussell up in the story

"All right Cheatle this isn't the academy, we only die once out hear," stated Russell as he started his round about. Strait into three X-Wings.

"Snap out of it guys link lasers and open fire don't quite on me                        now" cried out Demonic.

Laser cannons now screamed through the air scorching the treetops.
....ZOOM....ZOOM....ZOOM....All three X-Wings blazed by untouched we had a battle on or hands.

Russell smiled surprisingly he was completely relaxed and confident but knew every second in the air could very well be his last.  The X-Wings began to make another pass, "three o' clock high" screamed Cheatle.  ....ZOOM...ZOOM....BANG out of nowhere came a homing missile.

Demonic announced "lets finish them off, reform, lets finish them off in one swoop.
"Roger"
"Roger" quickly answered the green pilots.

Second Flight reformed quickly, this new crew had chemistry they seemed to predict each other's moves.  The weapon batteries from the ground units were posing more and more a threat, Russell would soon find this fact to be true.

"Fire at will we have the position" Demonic commanded
...BANG...BANG... down into the dirt the two remaining fighters went.

"Good job men were going to work just fine together" Demonic congratulates, and at that very moment.... BANG....

"I'm hit! Gosh darn it all, left engine down 70 percent, right engine down 20" Hissed Russell over the comm.

"Don't worry we'll get ya back to the ship you'll be ready to go in no time" reassured Cheatle.

First Ever Comments would be great thanks.
