I am bored, and i got iritated by some people still proving them selves n00bs on mIRC. :/
Although it is in the Coc, i doubt some read it.. I will be honest, i didn't read the CoC, I asumed to know what goes for what.

Dont be to proud to admit your mistakes. And accept help from other members. Accepting help is just as good as giving help.

Good info Hellra, but I'm going to edit your list a bit for the readers:
These are the common words found in our mIRC channel:
bbl = be back later
lol = laugh out loud
brb = be right back
CoC = Code of Conduct
np = no problem
wb = welcome back
Aside from those stated above, it is actually better for you to write out your sentences and words. Using "b/f" for "boyfriend", "b4" for "before", or any other AOL Talk methods are frowned upon. Unbeknownst to a lot of people that join our club, every single one of your superiors are adults (age 18 years or older... and actually, I believe that all of them at the moment are either 20 or above). In other words, you're dealing with adults who have jobs, college students, and some have families of their own. If you want respect, I suggest you type out your words like an adult in order to be treated as such. -----------------------

and Hellra, "nm" doesn't neccisarily(misspelled) mean "nothing much", it could also mean "never mind", although i usually use "nvm". -----------------------

Basically, contrary to popular trends, we expect you to act like an educated being here. Write well and think before you speak/type and you will get the respect and recognition you think you deserve.
It's not just language either; it also involves behavior. You could use the Queen's English in channel, but if you are discussing the sweet spinning rims on your Civic, don't be surprised when I treat you like a crackhead idiot.

I don't understand why it's so difficult...
-Understand authority.
-Keep your ego at the minimum (if your head expands, pins are standing by)
-Net lingo isn't a must, but don't freak out if you don't know any abbreviations.
-We are here to help the new-comers, but constant questions (especially repeating ones) become tiresome.
Along with Hellra's post, there are several out-lets of information to help with adapting to the VE. As I always say...

I'm sure we all agree that mIRC has its rules. All I can really say is, if you want to move up in VE you have to post. You have to participate in your squad activities and give one hundred and ten percent. Many of us have jobs, families and schooling but even with all the things going on in your life just look back at what those above you have accomplished.
What concerns me most is taking your time with your posts. Thinking everything through and watching for errors make everything much easier and a lot more fun for everyone on VE.
I don't want to be half way through a great post and see run-ons or repeating yourself with diffrent words. Just relax and have fun and so will everyone else.
