Go to the starport, it'll cost you probably around 300 credits to be able to go from one planet to another, or at least it did more than a year ago when I quit.

5/13/2005-My journey to the Darkside is complete

I admit I am of the school of thought "I payed once for this game, why should I pay to play it every month?"

Though there are days in the computer lab where I'd love to have the mind numbing grinding of SWG versus the mind numbing boredom of the lab during summer.  At least I could be holding real conversations with real people if I was doing that.

The hardest part of my job is that I do hardly get to interact with anyone.

If you have the patience and temperment to make SWG work for you all the more power to you.

I tried becoming a master Armor Smith, I made it but I nearly went insane doing it.  Was nigh inefectual in combat because I had wasted the skill points on something other then combat.  Pain in the rear because a lot of the resources I needed tended to appear on planets where I couldn't put harvesters.

I do hope you can keep having fun three to six months down the road, that's when SWG actually started getting to me.

lol, now that you can have more than one professions, i'm wondering if you can be both Jedi and bounty hunter?

well, i thought that it might be handy. I mean, bounty hunters are there only to hunt the Jedi, but then again, if you are a bounty hunter/Jedi you are immune for this hunt. evil? very!

Are they allowing people to be two proffesions at once now? Ever since the NGE you had to pick a proffesion from the list of nine and stick with it. If it's changed, I wanna know.

Yes, but I was wondering if you could do that in the NGE, because I liked that so much (MCM/MBH!), and that's not the case now... I can only be a medic OR a bounty hunter, not both.

Exactly. I wonder why Lucasarts didn't actually take away SOEs license for Star Wars and give it to somewhere like Bioware (which happens to be starting a new MMO). It hasn't done much good for SOE.

1) There's two servers that we used to participate in: Gorath and Eclipse. I believe our allies, the Force Elite Soldiers, still play a little on the Eclipse server, but we (the VE) haven't built up enough of a SWG community base to effectively create towns and such on any server. To participate in this server, you need to:

a. have the game, of course.
b. still be paying the monthly fee for it.

2) SWG is not free, nor has it ever been free.
