Skills needed for joining the DJO

Before anyone even mentions this, I'm aware of the fact that I haven't been in the VE long enough to apply, but I was wondering anyway... What exactly are the skills you need to join the DJO. I've asked others, but none will give a full answer. I'm basically asking for the criteria that need to be met for someone to join the DJO and if you need to maintain other things. Activity is, of course, one of the primary concerns. Consecutive months of activity are required to even be considered for membership. Other concerns include, but are not limited to, maturity, writing abilitiy, potential of being taught, and character background. The Dark Council collectivily decides who will and will not be initiated on a case by case basis. -----------------------

Even though I'm not in the DJO, I do know that you have to be a very very very good writer. Meaning, you have to be creative, your posts have to be longer than the normal, and you should be prolific. You also have to have patience, because it is hard for all the council members to get on at one time... None of that is a secret or anything, is it? The reason the DJO focuses so much on writing is basically the fact that you will need to be able to role play as a Dark Jedi very well. If you can't role play your character, you probably won't be accepted into the order.
In order to progress in the Dark Jedi Order, you have to show sufficient proof that your character is onto the next level in his/her progression. In order to do this, you'll need to have very good role playing skills. Thus, this is why writting is so important. I think of it more as role playing than writting myself; but they are basically one in the same. -----------------------

Starting out in the Order isn't that hard for most people... you have limited skills. You show struggle. It's the rank of Dark Jedi Knight (rank above training ranks) that is difficult. The writer needs to understand their limitations and their points of skill. -----------------------

The Order is secret, and likes to be kept as such. In order to be kept secret, we show our powers very little, if at all, during regular squad missions.
The rank of Master usually takes a long enough time to obtain where the person in question will have accumulated a rank in their respective division above that of being in a squad (hence why we have only two Masters in the VE)

Well, if in a mission, a situation arises to where you need to use a force power to save a squad member, is it ok? Why would you have to conceal your powers so much if it could have a positive effect on what you're doing? Obviously, you dont want to abuse power but...... -----------------------

It's as much to protect the secrecy of the Order as well as to make it fair for the squad. In the past we've had a handful of Dark Jedi do all of the work and made it no fun for the rest of the squad. I started enforcing that limitation again to guard against both of those. -----------------------

So, in the army, DJK's are too keep their identitys as knights secret? How do you get a chance to use your powers as a DJK then? The point of keeping them secret in the army is understandable, but when do you guys actually get to kick some ass with a saber? -----------------------
