A few people have asked on other topics, and on IRC about what should be included in a report, so I decided to make a topic here with a few details.
In the main, a report should include the following:
- What stories you have written or contributed to in the last week including specialty stories
- What graphics you have made in the last week
- What additions or alterations you have made to any squad or character website in the last week
- What games you have participated in during the last week
- What plans you have for next week
- You id-line in full
Most SLs ask for reports in by Thursday midnight, and they should also be CC'd to your ASL.

Include your Callsign and your ID line in the email. Yes, I know that your ID line has your Callsign within it, but it's just a good habit to add your Callsign to whatever document you are sending to another individual, whether it is your superior, another squad member, etc. I've received countless emails stating that they've finished training, or some other thing, and they have not included their Callsign... I don't memorize email address, so I have no idea who they are.
Identity is key. Makes it easier for us older guys.  -----------------------

Sir, i'm a bit confused, I have just been recruited and i've been looking up some posts and alot of them talk about stories. We have to make stories before going into battle? Mess with the best, die like the rest. |

Higher ups, correct me if I am wrong here.
Zolos (and Kaizer if you haven't already been told), once you pass your basic training and such (which will be explained to you by the training officers), you will be assigned to a squad.
When your squad undertakes a mission, you will contribute to the story by posting what your character does (in third person). Each member of the squad will post their parts, and the story will progress that way. All this info should be in the Army Main ComNet, or somewhere similar.
P.s. Am I the only one that thinks the term 'battling' makes us sound like a Pokemon site? :P Sergeant Marka

Despite what many people think, and I think this fact alone may answer a few questions, the Vast Empire is NOT a "game" that you login and play like Jedi Outcast, Battlefield 2142, etc. We are a forum-based RPG Star Wars club. We have DO support games such as Star Wars Galaxies, but we are NOT a SWG private server - or a server of any kind of that matter.
You participate in this club (you "battle") by contributing your story posts with your squad (or contributing personal stories). You get that story-writing training in the Stormtrooper Corps Academy, and then you get assigned to an active duty squad where you start participating in official squad-based stories.

The Vast Empire is not that type of Star Wars club. :P We're forum-based, so we're somewhat more like what charliedelta is referring too, but not exactly that either. To get the best examples of what we do, I suggest you look at the Stormtrooper Corps StoryNet board, and check out the stories. Most of our members write in the 3rd person because it's simply easier overall (my opinion). Some write in the 1st person, and that works too. Whatever you're comfortable with. |

Yes Skarr would be your callsign, but not your name. Your callsign is like a "Tag". And you should consult your Training Page/Instructor for more info on your sig.
