Just the main two, probably tie interceptors or advanced. Normal ties might be innefective in this type of battle, but then again, we'll be going to a planet here probably... In which case, they could be even more ineffective... Yea, probably the two I mentioned... -----------------------

I thought that the Tie's on the rosters are never accurate, so i dont usually pay much attention to that part. but it says that Kaph flies Tie bombers, at least i think it does, what good will bombers do for coverage? ground support maybe, but this kind of situation? dont think so... -----------------------

Bombers can be very effective when armed with missiles. The enemy has mainly Ties and Uglies, a pair of missiles up their engines will more then do the job.
Also, forgot to mention in the briefing what kind of Capital ship support you will have. Devestator will be the primary, and you will also have the Gauntlet, the Empire's Fist, and Lotaith's Hammer, three Carrack Cruisers. -----------------------

Guys, this thread is to discuss the story: what's going on it, what you're planning to write in your next post, how the squadrons should coordinate their efforts, etc.
Posts like "I'll post soon" or "TIE Fighters are dumb", etc. are not necessary. That's the kind of stuff that should be reserved for mIRC, not this thread.

Will, it sounds like you're confused on what kind of TIE's Kaph will be flying. We will be in bombers as per the roster listing, and we will be armed with missiles for use against fighters. -----------------------

Tie Fighters are very fast, and very manueverable. If you are skilled, they are all that you need. -----------------------
