You must be in Vast Empire for three months before you can apply to the Dark Jedi Order. After which time, unless I am mistaken and the rules have changed, you must have the approval of a High Council member, and the approval of the Dark Council.

Timber Saden is absolutely correct, but I believe, unless the rules have been altered, you must have a Recommendation from the Army High Council, Navy High Council, and the High Council. -----------------------

One thing to remember, gents.. AHC and NHC are not Army High Council and Navy High Council... they are Army and Navy High Command.. it keeps it less confusing that way too.

I have discussed this matter with Timber Saden, but I would like to get some others' opinion on the matter...
I have noticed that there are nearly no members of the Navy in the VEDJ. I understand this is because most of you are first and foremost in the Army and that it is easier for stories that way.
But ... my question is this. Does my army persona have to be in the VE three months to apply to the DJO if my navy persona has already been in long enough?
And, also, is it allowable to have both your Navy persona and Army persona be in the VEDJ?
Just a few questions. Thanks for the time, and I look forward to getting the answers.

First off, it's not whether your character is in the Navy/Army for a certain amount of time, and yes it does matter a small bit. YOU YOURSELF have had to have been in the Vast Empire for at least 3 months before applying. Secondly, I suppose you could have both your Army and Navy characters in the VEDJ because they would have different callsigns, but I see no reason why you would do so. -----------------------

Heres my "two cents"..
The Army was the VE's first division, so the veterans who have been around since then were almost definetly in the Army. People like Talon and Athran.
When the Navy started after the Army had been around for a while, many Army members got new callsigns and went to join the Navy. So Talon became Claw and Athran became Apocalypse.
Like someone said, you don't really have any reason to have both your callsigns in the VEDJ.. so the older people have their Army callsigns in the VEDJ, and are in the Navy as well.
Basically, most of the Army members are either JUST in the Army or in the Army AND Navy, but have their main characters in the Army. Navy members are either in the Army and the Navy, or just in the Navy.. and there aren't many Navy VEDJ members, because theres not as many Navy members as there are Army

Actually, Athran was in the Vast Empire Navy first as the fearless commander of Alpha Squadron. Yup, he had a sailor-suit, a tin whistle, the whole kit 'n kaboodle. He later transferred to the Army after a rather unscrupulous, nefarious member named Sesswanna became Executive Officer of the Vast Empire Army, hehe. :P
Months later, Field Marshal Majere enforced the rule that you may not have the same nickname in both the Armored and Naval divisions. Therefore, Athran changed his Navy callsign to "Apocalypse."
It is more confusing when you realize the Vast Empire Navy started up three times and closed down twice.

ok this is like the 2nd time ive actually looked here but i guess its so of a good thing scicne its around my three month aniversary. I guess im interested in joining however im a little confuse by what you mean by getting an aproval from a high council member I'm only in the navy too most of you guys are in the Army but if i read correctly being in just one corp is ok but i would like to know who i would goto to get an approval do i have to goto all three ppl to get the aproval because Im not in the army and i dont see how that would be worth anything from an army officer i dont really know. either way i hope i can join you guys.  -----------------------

First off, I know that you know that there has to be at least a 3 month wait before applying. Secondly, you can be in just one corps. To apply to the DJO just means that you have to send a Recommendation Letter (email) to 1 person from each Division. I.e: 1 person from the Army High Command, 1 person from the Navy High Command, and 1 person from the VEDJ High Council.

Ok i think i can find someone from the army and for sure the navy but who the Heck is in the Dark Jedi High council? after all theres no roster for that.??? and either way my three month anniversary is virtually about one week or so i cant remember exactly but i think a few days before my first post so thats sometime on the last week of this month not too far away either i hope you understand that i wish to know what todo before hand rather than run around worrying too much when the actual time comes. thanks again and i would like to know whos on the high council for the DJO and where to send my info when i collect the approval i need to join if i get it. First off, if you want to apply to the DJO, you must send an email to the Army High Command, Navy High Command (that can probably skip since there really is no NHC), and the VEDJ HC (Kadann or Gui Sun Paan preferably.) You send them your recommendation email which should contain:
Why you want to join, what good you think you would be if you joined, how long you've been in the VE total (must be at least 3 months), what rank you currently hold/position, and what have you done in the past, commanding/leading wise (if any).
