* Nice lead peacemaker. It's given me a few ideas. Sidious stood his ground with the other troops,  as D.W. barked orders.  "When he comes around, we do not fire. We wait until we see who it is." Sidious nodded, but aimed at the corner all the same. The footsteps grew louder and heavier, as the sqaud preapared itself. suddenly a gruop of rebels truned the corner, unaware of the sqauds presence. "Freeze," yelled D.W. Peacemaker looked at D.W.  while asking him a question. "they're the enemy, so why aren't we blowin' them away?" Sidious and D.W. blinked at the question, before D.W. answered. "Wel, they've dropped their weapons and surrendered. We can always take em' in for questioning you know. Besiseds, we need to find out wat they're motives are, ect. So it's worthwhile to capture them. Peacemaker nodded, as Sidious and the others repremanded the rebels. Sidoious smiled lightly, before talking to D.W. "Another job well done eh, well so far at least, hehehe."  "Yeah Sid, but this is only the beggining, I'll bet you your belt of theremal detanators, that there will be a resistance up ahead waiting for us...there always is." Sidious nodded. "Let's move out fellas!" yelled D.W. Sidous walked along with the sqaud, as he shoved a rebel along, and as he did, he wondered what would greet him next........

OOC: Remember guys, your posts must be at least 3 paragraphs long. Cosmic put down his lightsaber and clipped it to his belt.  He decided that he would just keep it with him wherever he may go.  Cosmic walked out of his quarters and towards the mess hall... Walking down the corridors, memories popped into his head like popcorn popping in a microwave.  He remembered the Imperial Omega Campaign when he was squad leader of the Raiders.  He smiled at the thought of when he was leading them to victory... He arrived at the mess hall and ordered a cup of coffee once again.  He sat down at a vacant table and waited for his coffee to be delivered.  In the meantime, he remembered seeing various body parts of the enemy soldiers.  Rifle scopes, snipers, frontline soldiers, and heavy troopers walking up the battlefield towards their adversary.  Cosmic took a deep breath and looked out the small window towards the planet that the Dominion was hovering over.  He received his coffee and took a sip.  He smelled the aroma with one deep breath, and let it out in a long silent whoooosh. After Cosmic was done with his coffee, he walked back to his quarters and started reading a novel he had brought along with him.  He knew that since he was in the Army High Command that he would have less time in the battlefield and more time in the "office", so to speak.  He stared at the title and nodded his head:
War is not joining the battlefield
He had read halfway through the book already, and was really interested in what it had to say.  Most of it he agreed with, but some of it he disagreed, due to expierence.

(Yup, I'm back from Germany, and here's my first post of the New Year!!!) Argon Viper hopped into the TIE Defender he still retained from his time in command of Shadow Squadron way back in the Dark Lightning Strike Force. He devoutly wished for the return of his beloved ISD II Illoustrious, but that was another story... Taking off, the few hours of simulator time he put in every month showed, he swept past the corvettes with ease, putting his fighter through rolls, spins, weaves, and anything else he could think of to get the feel of it back. Suddenly, the remainder of that squadron of A-wings pounced, and he and Stonefish were the only ones out there. Argon Viper snap-rolled, ending up with one behind him and one in front, both facing him, and both launching cuncussion missles. He twisted aside at the last moment. The A-wings, having been unaware of each other, slammed into each other's cuncussion missles. Argon headed off for the others when he realised that one of the missles hadn't hit an A-wing and was still on his tail. He dove quickly, throwing into a long loop as it tried to catch up. But it wouldn't be shaken, it stayed on his tail, homing in on his engines. He weaved to his right and punched his throttle the extra ten percent up to full. The missle came alongside him, slowing enough for him to get a good look at it. It wasn't standard, it was an advanced model, more advanced than anything he had ever seen before. There were extra fuel pockets on this missle, Argon estimated that the range must have been increased at least tenfold. Three small vents coming from the main stream of the rocket must have provided the extra maneuverability it would have needed to keep up with him. The extra detectors would allow it to find its own target once launched, explaining how the A-wings has been able to launch in such a short time. Then, before he could note anymore, it exploded, ten meters off his starboard wing. The roiling fireball caught up with his ship in microseconds, but his reflex had jerked the ship to port, barely saving him as the power hit the armored side of his cockpit instead of the transparisteel viewport. He checked his diagnostics, he was okay, but his maeuverability and speed were both down. He checked out his starboard wing, it would be in bad shape for a while, but the lasers still functioned. "Sweetums this is Viper,"he said into his comm,"be aware, those A-wings are using some new kind of missles, they're light years past anything we've seen before."

Shadow's finger itched on his blaster. It had been too long since the Raiders had seen any action. Major Fury had assigned them to hang around on the planet for a while longer and clean up any of the rebel stragglers left over from the main invasion.   But it was looking like there wasn't much clean-up to do at all. Apparently, all of the rebels had either been killed, wound up and placed in POW camps, or had defected over to the VEA. Though that was the way things usually went when planets were taken over. Or so Shadow had heard.   He glanced over at Snake and received a slight nod in turn. All six of the Raiders were getting bored with this mission. They didn't even have their TIE tank or AT-PT here to play around with. It was just Snake, Jedi, Otto, D-13, Grizzly, and Shadow hiding out in the brush with some small firearms.   Well, it was a strategic position and all. Supposedly if any rebels were still on-planet, they would be coming back this way. After all, their main base was not too far off and Iron Horse had discovered an info cache right beside the Raiders' position. So they were there lying in wait in case some rebels came back to retrieve their data.   Jedi let out a sigh and shifted on his stomach. Lying down like this for hours at a time was no fun for any of them, not even the Dark Jedi. He twirled his lightsaber around a little and muttered something that Shadow didn't catch, even with his sharp ears.   "I know, I know," Snake replied. "We're all tired of this. Hopefully we'll only be here a couple of more days."   "Good," Grizzly growled. "We're almost out of rations."   "Cut the chatter," Otto snapped. The heat and poor conditions out here were beginning to wear on all of them. Otto had been sneaking more than his fair share of water from the flasks, but Shadow didn't mind. He didn't need as much water as the rest of the soldiers ... his home planet was extremely hot and he was used to not drinking much. Besides, Snake was really hoping that they would all be returning to the Dominion again soon.   A few more hours went by without any result. Then, Jedi suddenly sat up straight, startling the others. He pulled a pair of macrobinoculars up to his eyes and began to scan the horizon.   "What is it?" D-13 whispered.   "People approaching, from the south," he answered. "I can sense them, but they aren't in sight yet. Don't think they're friendly either. Moving fast too, it seems."   "On speeder?" Snake questioned.   "Probably," Jedi grunted, setting the binoculars aside and closing his eyes. he was obviously pushing his Force powers to the limit in an effort to get a better feel for their approaching visitors.   Shadow squinted into the distance with his keen eyes. Since joining the VEA, he had come to find that all of his senses were better than his fellow squad members. Though no one else had really seemed to notice it yet. They all simply assumed he was just a really good sniper and hunter. He rolled over and tapped Snake on the shoulder.   "They're moving in from the southeast. Looks like three small speeders and one larger hovercraft. Probably twenty of them at the most."   "You can see them?" Snake asked, pulling his macrobinoculars up and scanning off in that direction.   "Well, ummm," Shadow began, but he was cut off.   "Yeah, I'm making something out now, too," Otto said.   Jedi's head rose up and his eyes winked open. "It's the enemy all right. Get ready, men."   A wide smile spread over Snake's face. "This is what we've been waiting for, guys. Let's have some fun with this one."   Grizzly mouthed the word fun. "You people sure have a weird since of fun," he added.

OOC:  This is my first Army story post.  If I screw up, tell me and I'll fix it. Dragoon was nervous.  He always had been quiet, and rather mean, but he was never nervous.  He was just going over to the Corvette, it wasn't like he was taking on a Star Destroyer.  Still, Dragoon knew something was going to happen.  He glanced around at the other members in the shuttle. Kurioshi stood relaxed, with Epic and the rest of the Fallen Angels chilling, all acting calm and cool.  Dragoon knew they were just as nervous as he was, though, they were just hiding it.  He grinned and realligned his grip on his Stormtrooper rifle.  When you were in FA, it was all about the attitude. Well, all Dragoon could do was assume the attitude and get going. (I know this post was short and with little real content, but I didn't want to screw up the story, and I feel I should introduce the behaviour of my behaviour as I see it.)

"Stonefish to Kuroishi," the comm came to life in Kuroishi's hand, "Fighters inbound, looks like another pair of A-Wings escorting two K-Wing bombers." "Roger," was the reply. Kuroishi moved over to the pilot of the shuttle. "You might want to hurry things up a little, we got bombers inbound." "Roger that," replied the pilot as four blips appeared on his scanners. Viper pumped the throttle and shot off in the direction of the bombers, his TIE Defender screaming with the effort of going so fast. As he was passing Stonefish, he saw the third exhaust port close up at the rear of his fighter, and with a jet of bright, ionised gas the trefoil fighter jumped forward. Inside the cockpit, Stonefish fought the controls as the small ship desperately tried to tumble off into space. Sparks flew out from behind a panel, but Stonefish had to ignore it. As he approached, he saw the two A-wings moving to intercept, and he opened the third port again, wincing at the amount of time he'd have to spend repairing the damage again. The turbo mechanism he had installed provided a massive speed increase, but stood a good chance of blowing up the engines. He pulled a ninety degree roll and then confused everyone by using the rudder to turn upwards. Just then, his ship disappeared from everyone's sensors and sight. "The guy's mad using a cloak on a fighter," muttered Kuroishi watching from the cockpit of the shuttle. Stonefish watched the timer tick past, reaching out with long unused Force sense to watch where the A-Wing pilots were moving. As he suspected, they moved over toward Viper's fighter, damaged as it was, he didn't stand much chance against another two of them. As predicted, one of them was going to pass his nose. He counted off the seconds, and at just the moment, he dropped the cloak and dumb-fired a torpedo. It slammed into the weak shields of the A-Wing and the explosion destroyed the shield and opened up the bottom of the cockpit. The pilot, suddenly exposed to vacuum exploded where he sat, and the A-wing began to tumble. Stonefish fired the engines up again and turned on the other fighter. "Viper, get the bombers," he said down the comm, "Thirty seconds they'll be in firing range." The TIE Defender changed course and angled off toward the K-Wings. Stonefish pulled around and angled in behind the remaining A-Wing. The guy was no slouch, he flew in all sorts of odd directions, reminiscent of the things Piler used to do. Stonefish had trouble keeping up, but eventually the moment came right and the fighter dropped into his corsshair. Lances of energy shot out from the lower two wings and should have hit square on the Event Horizon engines, but the pilot pulled something funny, and before Stonefish knew what was happening, his ship was jolting from impacts. He flicked on the shield-saver, his other main invention for this ship. Instead of a single large deflector generator creating a bubble around the ship, he had a number of small generators around the ship creating overlapping plates of energy, almost like a planetary shield. The generators were set in tracks and when switched on, they rotated around the shull so the plates moved around. Thus, if one were to fail, the gap moved around. The ship still rocked from impacts until Stonefish did something risky, he closed the third port on his exhaust again, and jumped forward to a massive shower of sparks behind him. He readouts said the laser and ion generators had gone down, and the targeting computer was shot. He was down to dumb-fired torpedoes. Not good. Chicken it was then. He pulled a few clicks in front of the A-Wing and turned, wondering almost why the guy hadn't fired a missile at him yet. Then he switched off the turbo, and piled all the laser energy into the engines and shields. It was doing no good going to broken laser generators anyway. He used the increased speed to fly head on toward the A-Wing. His shields took another pounding, and just as the A-Wing pulled off, he angled toward it, and at a range of less than ten metres, launched a torpedo. While it closed the short gap, Stonefish snap-rolled and pumped the throttle. As he turned around, the torpedo exploded. His rear shields were destroyed and he was thrown around in the cockpit. "Viper," he said, "You're all clear, but I need to dock for some repairs. Now." The TIE Defender closed in on the K-Wings as Viper laughed evilly down the comm.

Just a little update. Been waiting for stuff to happen and I guess I'll clarify a few things. The Fallen Angels and Wraith Squad are on a mission utilizing the corvette Scythe and apparently the Sweetums as well.  (Psst...don't forget that you have fighters onboard the Marauder.)  They should continue this mission and try to get to the objective soon...or else the target(s) may just leave. Anobis is pretty much taken over other than some minor resistance which a detachment of regulars can control.  Soooo.... Iron Horse, Dark Dragoons, and Raiders get back onboard the Dominion.  We have hired some merc escort ships...the Escort Carrier Thargor and the Gunships Xabbu and Wulgaru (random amount of ICs to who emails me first about where I got THOSE names)  to protect the VSD enroute to a colony in the Outer Rim.  For the next week you will be in communication's silence as you set up shop in the Julevian system.  From the icy fifth planet you will prepare to assault a defensive starfighter factory on the third planet's largest moon.  The other small moon of Dubrido (20 km in diameter) is home to a large turbolaser complex and can protect the factory up to 19 of the 22 hour day.  Infiltrate and withdraw as needed.  The planet Sernpidal itself is home to a Jedi academy of sorts for the enemy we face.  Teaching under old Jedi rules most of the initiates are very young and unskilled.  If given the time, take a team down, eradicate all resistance, recover artifacts, destroy the academy, and take as many raw talented children as you can for Dark Jedi training. A couple more things.  Do NOT destroy Sernpidal...they do not know the academy exists. Also, some of your AWOLs are being sent home on a hospital ship to be dealt with properly.  Others of course, will never get higher than six inches below Anobis.  Good news that.  I'll leave a list somewhere when I decide who comes home to VE space. You have your missions and your orders.  Good luck.   ----------------------- CMP CMDR/MAJ Fury/1CMP/1BAT/1RGT/VEA/TADATH/VE [SotE:HC][SotE:VEA][IOC] Shopkeeper - Imperial Center

The newbie scouts that were sent to check the north and west side of the city reported back to DW.  There was very little resistance in the areas that they checked.  Only a few rebels hiding in buildings and a couple running from street to street.  They were taken out very easily.  In the distance one of the troopers assigned to the east side of the city came running back to DW.  When the trooper finally reached DW we was gasping for breath.  Finally he said, “Sir there is a strong rebel force hiding out in one of the 2 story building in the east side of the city.  Three men from my party have been already shot.” “Ok, trooper lead us to the spot.  Everybody else follow me.” The trooper quickly led us back to the building where the last remnants of the rebels were.  It looks like there are at least 15 rebels hiding in that building. “Ok here’s the plan, I’ve got a couple of smoke grenades with me.  I’ll throw a couple and create a smokescreen.  That’s when you guys charge in and break down the door and shoot anything that moves.” “Now lets do it…” =========== 10 mins later =========== The building was still intact but all the rebels in the buildings were killed.  Only some of the regular troopers were killed and a couple wounded.  Now that the city is in Imperial hands, DW and the Dark Dragoons can report back to the Dominion for their new orders.

snake stood up in the small briefing room on the dominion. ok men, we are to set up a base camp tat we can operate from while taking out a star fighter plant and a jedi academy on Sernpidal. the plant is on a moon that can be protected by remote turbolasers 18 hours each day. we will most likely have to get in, destroy a few things, and get out before the lasers can get us. we wioll bring all of our equipment, we will leave most at the main base though. the moon is full of enemys, we can raze whatever we want on it. the planet is off limits, except for when we go to shut down the academy. leave the natives alone, we don't want them mad at us. we will have a CEC gunship and a escort carrier covering us on the moon. we can use them gainst the factory if we must, but we have to keep them safe, they are mercs. they will fight fighters and whatnot but no fleet engagements. the dominion will allow us to use a small prefab garrison, we just have to install it and get the plumbing working. everybody pack up, were heading down in a few days.
