Hey guys, I've asked before in other venues, but would like to get input from those here.
Would it be possible for a weekly-ish report from Galaxies? What are our players doing? How are things faring? Would be good publicity AND a way to let people know you are active in ways the rest of us cannot see. Perhaps some game highlights or "interviews" with your characters?
Also, and this is a suggestion from Fish, but would it be easier for those Army members in Galaxies to be put into their own squad, with maybe PM filling in as SL and providing a central report from all of you? Would allow those of you who retired due to Galaxies to come back, collect pay, and be a part of the club again too.
Just some food for thought on a Sunday afternoon. (I'm trying to avoid vacuuming.) -----------------------

heh heh, the ominus vacuuming, scarey, anyway i acctualy gave up on Galaxies in favor of ComNet hermit, if we got something like this though i might come back. -----------------------

Well lets see, some news.... I think I can come thin of something right now that is news.
A bunch of rebels attacked us and set up a house on the outskirts of our town. We can't do anything about it so it is really annoying. I devulge more info and specifics, but I don't want to disclose any information which could be used against use.

You never know. There could be some WeBs(Rebels that attacked us. Our most active enemay as of now) out there trying to find something out about us. If they manage to find these boards I don't want them knowing anything. It is possible because I found some of the rebels we have been fighting's webpages. I was trying to see if they had any bases we could go after and where they were, but no luck. -----------------------

hey! i just had a freakin epiphanie, if i was a rebel just wiring for you to devulge information, i realy would've joined a year before the game came out, played the game almost none and have no idea about anything in SWG,yup, sure would

I suppose that's just the point; I want to enliven interest in the game for non-players, but not at the expense of affecting gameplay of those who do.
Just basic info. Maybe some quick game tips. I don't know; just the idea of a monthly main page story. -----------------------

I understand your intent Fury and it is valid. I think we had no intent of devulging any information about us. I was just making some people aware that they shouldn't ask for specifics. I'd be up for writing some general guides on character design and how to get started in Galaxies. It's really not that hard especially now that they've added starter quests for each of the begining professions to make things easier and actually make it possible to get your character off the ground by yourself.
But still there are a few things I can put into a guide that I think would be most helpfull, if anyone would actually want such a thing. -----------------------

well i gave you your first news story. Check it out. *Points to the Imperial Victory post*. I can make a ton of stories like that. Ill make another one tonight, and post it up. I may even put up some movies, if i get the time. As of right now, im making a recruitment video for the guild i will be forming soon. I was wondering as well if i could make a VE guild on Eclipse. I know there is CU, but that is a lot of FES things. I would be able to start an official VE guild on Eclipse, and start building a nice group. I also know our *Official* guild is on gorath or w/e but i dont know a lot of people that play. So just let me know what you think. -----------------------

Most of the VEers with SWG are on Eclipse so we may as well give up on Gorath and focuse our efforts.
I'd say form our own guild when we get more people playing SWG. Right now we dodn't have enough ability to defend ourselves if we did make our own guild if last night is any indication of the attacks we'll face. -----------------------

We can set up a guild, and be perfectly safe. We just wont build bases until we have the capability. I can get a PA hall for dirt cheap, but we have to act fast. I agree that we dont have the ability to defend a base, but the stinkin rebs cant attack just regular cities. I am grinding master rifle right now, then goin on to TKM, so ill be able to PvP like a crack head. So just let me know. -----------------------

I suggest fencer over TKA for PvP. TKA can't really target a single pool of damage. -----------------------
