Here's my take on it. I probably have some parts wrong, but oh well.
Raiders and Wraith are lurking around the environs of Moorjay and its spaceport, mopping up various enemy elements. Dark Dragoons are taking the last planetary shield generator. Jester has completed about a half dozen small missions and refuses to budge until they get a warm meal.
Timms has damn near a battalion under his direct command and probably another few battalions of regulars have since landed.
We have nuked, shot, crashed orbital stations on the enemy, reducing their strength by at least 70% KIA/WIA.
Seriously, we've pretty much rocked the defenders to their knees. We could use that plot twist now and maintain the mopping up just to keep people writing for a few more days. -----------------------

Fish is right, I remember reading a nice little post about how we are supposed to be told who gets what reinforcements when.
Sure that's been thrown out the window but really we don't have much of an idea of what the disposition of enemy forces is supposed to be, what secret projects abound, what we're supposed to do about them, but at least I have an idea if anyone wants it for what we can do next.
A nice little three mission campaign over multiple systems.
I'll even supply the transportation if you'll supply the troopers, pilots, and cough*engineers*cough.
You can even call it a 'diversion'.
I just got to do a little research and I can rock the boat a little. -----------------------

I assume there's a strange logic to us taking the scenic route to Coruscant? I mean, the direct approach from Yag'Dhul goes via Fondor, and Byss, not Tattooine. :P -----------------------

since when are we going to tattoine? plus look at it from a strategic point of view. by taking the bass ackwards way we have multiple staging points for the big push. If you've read the NJO series, its a vongish like move. -----------------------

There is also the Bestine system, which holds the planet Bestine IV or something like that. Its generally called Bestine instead of the IV or whatever part.
The way we are going in is Vongish, but the is a difference between us and them. The rebels didnt know how to defeat them, they know how to defeat us. There are 2 or 3 huge Rebel strongholds on the route i think we are taking and coming from this far out gives them lots of time to get forces to stop us.

My sources say that we are going in the complete opposite way to the Vong, on the opposite side of the Core entirely!

This is directed at the Navy: Please cut back on the references to modern day bands/technology. I've seen references to CD players, songs and bands that simply don't exist in Star Wars.
This is not to say that you, as a pilot, cannot listen to music in your cockpit, just come up with something creative to be listening to. Figrin D'an and the Model Nodes aren't the only band in Star Wars. If you think you'd be listening to something besides jizz, make up something. The galaxy is a big place, I'm sure someone is filling your musical niche. -----------------------

The RIAA in the SW universe (called the Sound Security Assosiation or SSA) has made it damn near impossible to pirate or use pirated music. Currently all music is in a standard format on a normal datapad disc. You can find ports for these discs almost anywhere on almost any piece of equipment.
