[OOC: Sorry, I figured I'd get in someone's way.  I edited the number of swoops to account for what you took, but otherwise I don't see anything I messed up.  Thanks for letting me know about it, if anything else comes up, just give a shout.  /OOC]

Argon had been waiting for three hours now, the smoke from the nearby base was still rising into the sky like an immovable pillar to tell the deaths of so many men.

Argon stayed where he was, lying prone among the charred wreckage of the original few swoops and speeders.

Nearby were five more swoops and another speeder, all recent arrivals, and all bodies having been shoved under nearby plantlife.

Argon heard the whine of another swoop incoming on his position.

Like the others, this one would wonder where the other people were and why there was wreckage on the ground.

Like the others, he would be curious enough to land and try to figure out what had happened.

And like the others, he was shot in the head with Argon's rifle from a range of less than five meters.

Argon got up to move the body, he hoped the transport would arrive soon, he couldn't keep this up forever without sleep.

"Hmm, I think they might not have gotten my message." Rema said to himself as he sat on top of a hill waiting for anyone to come to his rescue. He had been waiting for almost 15 minutes on top of a undistinguishable hill with nothing to do but look at the large expanse of nothing.

"Well, looks like im gonna have to save myself once again." He groaned getting up. He began to walk in the general direction of the Rebel Base, trying his Com. ever so often. Rema was beginning to think that one of the many pieces of shrapnel lodged in his armor had cut some important wire. Thus making the Com. in his helmet worthless. After trying his personal comlink, he found that it was smashed inside.

Rema continued walking humming a tune from the Imperial Orchestra. As he walked over the next hill and into a large flat area, he could see a large cloud of swirling snow heading his way.

"Whew, looks like they got my message after all." He took his blaster and started shooting it in the air so they would know he was here. Just then, a loud roaring sound came from above. Rema ducked down and saw an Imperial Shuttle peak through the clouds. He seemed to be heading a few kilometers away. As he turned back towards the rescue team, he noticed that they were getting closer. His blood ran cold as he realized that his "rescuers" were moving to fast to be Afyon and the rest of DD.

"This keeps getting better and better...." Rema said as he began digging himself a fox hole.

Fury sat next to TK-112 as they were taking turns responding to comm traffic down below.  Currently the pilot of one of the shuttles was speaking to him.

"Jester squad inbound with two enemy officers.  I suggest a flight or two of fighters go dirtside.  With the base coming to pieces, all the rats have left the sinking ship.  There's a lot of excess enemy running loose.  Eventually they are going to band together and cause some problems for our guys."

"Stand by pilot."  Turning to a comm specialist, Fury asked, "Do we know when all our squads are?"

"For the most part sir.  But we can at least triangulate some sectors where there is nothing but enemy troops."

"Good enough.  Alright pilot, I'm going to send some fighters down to escort the other shuttles and start laying down some suppression fire.  Fair enough?"

"Sounds good sir.  It's gonna be a turkey shoot for those guys.  My gunner can't wait to get back down there.  We're inbound to the Dominion in 10 minutes."

"Fair enough.  We'll be waiting for you.  Dominion out."

D-13 stayed by Fallen's and Mulat's sides, watching them closely for any signs of life, any breathing or pulse at all. The comforting sight of TIEs whizzing past the port holes gave him a relief, as he saw tiny cargo ships in the distance. At once, the stress of battle wore off and the trooper felt lightheaded and went down to his seat. His cyan eyes roamed around the craft interior, surveying the men sitting there, relaxing after a hard fight. Everyone smelled something burning and looked at Dee.

He himself looked down at his snowtrooper uniform, just at that instant finding a black gash on his chestplate, near the nifty supply box, not fatal but most likely painful if it did penetrate. He slapped his battle-tested repeater on his lap, suddenly not able to lift it up.

D-13 was awakened by Rizzit, who smiled a bit, "Ugh, what is it? I'm so tired." But the squad leader did not answer, and merely pointed out the window.

Outside, the snowy terrain was no mere veil for the mountain base, as the entire thing blew out with all the force, almost passing for a volcanic explosion. Then the giant icy rock collapsed in a heap of rubble.

After that ordeal, clear, icy atmosphere gave way to the cold vacuum of space, and the troopers looked out the window to see the Dominion parked in space, doubtless waiting for their arrival.
Several TIEs passed their shuttle.

Dee overheard the pilot talking with the docking control. "We're starting our approach, stand by."

The ship lurched and shuddered a bit as it began the intricate docking process. They were home.

Just a few more inches..

Rema had just about finished his fox hole, when he could finally see what was coming at him, or at least in his general direction. He used his helmet's abilities to zoom in somewhat and clear things up. What he saw was not good. Heading in his direction was what seemed to be a four rebel speeders and about 10 snow sleds.

Rema turned around and began digging his his equipment pack. He stuffed his S-2 carbine into the snow, and took out some grenades and his Flettche Launcher. He shoved the grenades in the snow directly infront of him for quick deployment. He poked his head out of the hole and saw the group about a 100 meters away. Rema pushed his Flettche Launcher's muzzle out of the hole and covered it up with snow a little bit. Ducking back intot he hole, he pulled out his personal comlink and tuned it to the VEA wide channel. Before he could even talk into the comlink, a huge explosion came roaring over the snow dunes. Quickly popping his head up, hoping to see the Rebel convoy destroyed, Rema noticed the smoke and giant flames coming from the direction of the Rebel base.

"Holy.........", Rema just barely managed to say. He stared at the flames and smoke for what seemed like years before the soft rumbling of many repulsors hit his ears. Shaking himself he ducked back into the hole. He opened the VEA wide channel and began to talk:

"This is Lance Corporal Rema, im about two klicks from what was the Rebel Base. I'm dug in and am about to be under attack from an escaping rebel convoy of about four speeders and 10 fully loaded snow sleds. Repeat im two klicks from the remains of the Rebel base and need assistance quickly." He closed the channel and waiting for a response.......

[OOC: What exactly is a Klick?? /OOC]

The Imperial shuttle holding Drill and Raiders was at its final approach with one of the many hangar bays that the Dominion had. The shuttle hovered into the hangar bay and made a quick descent onto the hangar bay's floors. A medical team was on the ground waiting for the shuttle to arrive, and quickly set to work unloading the wounded once the shuttle's ramp extended to the ground. Cosmic strode out of the interior of the shuttle and quickly got the attention of one of the medical techs. He needed to regain some energy, and he retrieved several adrenaline-pumping pills. Once the two pills slid down his throat he turned to his weary squad, who even though were very tired, managed to stand in a single file line.

"Good job, people. Not bad for your first serious mission. Head on over to sick bay and get yourselves some rest."

The members of Drill raised their arms in a salute before making their way to the sickbay. Cosmic needed to get to the Bridge, and he quickly took off for the nearest turbolift.

-------------------

Cosmic stepped onto the Bridge and was greeted with what sounded like a million voices chattering all at once. Officers were scurrying around the room giving orders to the many techs that filled the rows of seats on the lower portion of the Bridge. Cosmic caught sight of Fury and TK speaking into some headsets; obviously talking to the squads down below. Cosmic walked over to the General and tapped him on the shoulder. Fury spoke a few more words into his headset before turning and nodding to the filthy Colonel. Cosmic's standard Stormtrooper armor was smeared with blood and stained with a black substance. He definitely needed to give his armor a good GLEEN! cleaning when this mess was over.

"Good to see you in once piece," greeted Fury.

"I try." Cosmic smirked and nodded to the main view port next to them and looked down at Alzoc III. "How're they holding up down there?"

"Surviving. Jester has been picked up and is hauling what I'm hoping to be is the brass back here. Several TIEs have been sent down to assist in eliminating any surviving threats. Rema's down there as well, and he's got some speeders and snow sleds packed with enemy troops on his way. The Dark Dragoons are currently en route to his position, and our TIEs'll assist them."

"Get me back down there. They could use all the help they can get."

Fury nodded, "We're sending a shuttle back down to the planet to retrieve Rema and the oncoming Dark Dragoons. You can hitch a ride down to the planet that way."

Cosmic nodded and gave a quick informal salute before heading back down to the hangar bay.

Afyon gazed out through his binoculars as the tank headed back towards the rebel base.  He had seen shots being fired in the distance and some smoke so the squad had begun to head in that direction.  Suddenly, the blinding flash filled his binoculars as he saw fire and smoke rise from the rebel base a few km in the distance.

"Ok they have blown up the rebel base! Lets find Rema before some angry rebels decide to get their vengence!" Afyon shouted over the com as he looked desperately for a sign of Rema.  Finally, he saw shots being fired on a hill top a short distance away, he brought his sniper rifle up to his eye and saw a stormtrooper helmet on a man half in the snow.  "Alright men Ive found him. Turn six degress to your right and head for the hill now!" Afyon shouted as he put down the rifle and armed the laser turret.  "Mars and Slash, stand by for coordinates, you are going to needs those missiles of yours.  Kjerre stay close." Afyon ordered.

The vehicles raced their way towards the hill and soon the tank was at the top.  They had gotten there just in time, there was a large group of rebel vehicles in attack formation moving in.  "Alright get this cannon firing, Kjerre swing out to one side and try to cut in on some of the sled!"  Afyon orderd as he got a fix on the position of the vehicles furthest away.  They were all head up the hill towards their position.

"Alright Mars, arm your missiles, here are the coordinates" Afyon said as he quickly listed off the coordinates. "Fire 50 meters in front of the target zone...now!" He ordered.  He turned in his turret to see three missiles launch out of the T3-B.

The tank pulled right up to Rema's fox hole.  Afyon hopped down and ran over to Rema.  He saw that he was in pretty decent shape and then looked around for a place to put up a fight.  "Alright, up the hill a bit by those snow drifts, we make our stand!" Afyon ordered as he raced back over to the tank.

"Mars and Slash, keep th T3-b on the other side of the hill, all of you, bring the heavy weapons down here, one stay in the T3-B, one arm the gun of the tank, and one the tank turret.  Try and find the best defensive positions you can and perpare for a fight!" He as the tank's gun fired a blast blowing up an oncoming speeder.  "Forget the heavy weaponry, no time for defensive positions, just get somewhere and fire!" Afyon ordered as he dove for the ground to avoid fire from a sled.  It fired a burst on the tank blowing out the right rear of it.

Afyon climbed ontop of the tank and entered the turret.  He fired a long blast at another sled which was being pursued by Kjerre.  He the sled was blown apart by the fire from both vehicles and the debris crashed down just on the other side of the hill.  Afyon took out his binoculars and instructed Slash where to fire another volley.  A group of 5 tanks was approaching and the rebel vehicles were forming up with them.

Another sled blew up and crashed down near where the dragoons were trying to create a defensive position.  This one had been hit directly on by a shot from the tank's main gun.  Two more sleds began to evade as they fired upon the tank's position, their fire slammed into the front of the tank and just under the turret sending Afyon flying out and crashing down just behind the pile of snow the tank was sitting beside.

"shit!" Afyon screamed in pain as he tried to stand but his leg collapsed under him.  The tank was burning and the deafening sound of the shells exploding inside hurt his ears.  He could see Deep Rogue climbing out of the hatch.  He dove away from the tank and rolled away just before the main bay exploded, sending debris scattering.  The firey debris hit two rebel speeders send them crashing down out of control.

Firey wreckage burned all around the dragoons.  Afyon crawled behind the hill.  THe dragoons were taking a pounding.  "Slash, your vehicle still ok?" Afyon gasped through the com.

"Ya, the rebels are still attacking your position at the top of the hill, they havent come down here yet."  Slash responded.

"Alright great you are going to be our only - "Afyon was cut off by the thunderous explosion on the otherside of the large pile that jolted Afyon and sent him rolling a few meters away.  "Shit, they are shelling us now!  Slash, use those last coordinates I gave you, vary them up some and fire what missiles you have." Afyon ordered as he tried to get himself back into a sitting position.

Suddenly, a rebel speeder roarded past, its shots concentrating on the burning tank.  Afyon got an idea.  "Rema, Kjerre, Deep Rogue and Mars.  Our only hope is to get one of their speeders.  Everyone get completely out of sight.  Our hope is to lure one of them into believing we are dead or too injured to fight.  Slash, get out of the T3-B and close the missile hatches, set one missile to launch with the closed hatch so as to destroy the vehicle.  THen make your way out of sight as well.  Once a rebel speeder stops, jump whoever is in it and we will get out of here." Afyon stated as he winced in pain.  He knew his right leg was broken and he couldnt move his left arm which had already been hurt once but now was worse.  His chest was also very sore too, the force of the blast must have broken a rib or two he though as he took off his helmet and laid back against the pile which was now half destroyed by both wreckage and shelling.  Another round of shells crashed down near the burning tank, sending snow and ice flying.  Some of it pelted the Dragoons who were hiding in craters and behind wrecked vehicles.  It was time to sit and wait for the shelling to stop.

Once again Rema was lying down with his face smashed into the snow, playing dead. When Afyon ordered them to hide and jump the rebels when they got off their bikes, Rema had dived back into his foxhole. He now laid there with his equipment bag under him, filled with his S-2 Carbine, Flechette Launcher and vibroblade. Grasped in one hand was his DL-54 Auto-Blaster pistol, and in the other his last grenade. After shifting around a few times he had finally gotten into a position where he actually looked dead. Adding to his cover was the large amounts of snow accumulating on his back from the rebel shelling.

After lying there for almost five minutes, the shelling finally stopped, and repulsor's could be heard. He could hear them circling around and finally could hear the whine of them slowing down. Then the infamous sound of snow crunching under boots. Rema tensed, adrenaline pumping through him. He waited for what seemed like another eternity. Too many more eternities and i will be older than the galaxy itself.

Voices started wafting in the partially filled in foxhole. Suddenly blaster fire could be heard, then more and more. The sounds of blasters started popping up all around him. It looked like DD was making their move.

Rema quickly put power to his legs and pushed himself up. He turned quickly 360 degrees to see everything around him. Blaster fights were everywhere and he seemed to be in the middle of a Rebel Squad. He brought up his blaster pistol and shot the nearest rebel. Pulling himself out of the hole, Rema ran a few feet down the hill, shooting towards the Rebel ranks. He downed a few men, but they caught on and started returning fire. Four shots slammed into the snow around him superheating it. He dove and started rolling down the hill.

He tried to continue firing but couldnt hit anything. Once he stopped he was next to the remains of the T3-B. He could see Slash and Mars shooting as they ran towards a sled and Deep Rogue helping Afyon along into a large four person speeder. Rema jumped up and headed towards the nearest unmanned speeder. On his way, he was taking fire from the rebel squad at the top of the hill. When he reached the large speeder, he threw his equipment bag in and armed his grenade while returning fire. He brought the grenade up to his "lips" and kissed it for luck. He chucked it with everything he had and saw it lodge itself in the snow right in the middle of the squad. The following explosion sent six rebels to their deaths.

Hopping on the speeder, Rema powered it up just as the rest of DD flew past him. He pushed the throttle forward and flew next to the other large speeder which Deep Rogue was piloting. He could see Afyone lying in the back fubling with his gun. Rema turned back and saw a few Rebel sleds and speeders powering up and heading their way. Turning back towards Afyon and Deep Rogue's speeder, Rema opened a com channel.

"Looks like we are gonna have some company soon. Where to next??"

[OOC:  Good one Fury.  I might as well go ahead and expand on what you've started.  All I got to say is poor poor techs, having to watch that for nothing.  /OOC]

Daishi had already known the VEA was heading to Alzoc III with all the time they took refitting the Messenger.

GUESSWORK had earned it's pay for this month.  They had managed to track one of the escaping transports to a planet called F'Tral.

Now with this report that his otherself had been captured sitting in front of him he was certyain that was where his otherself was.

Daishi knew better then to try and gather the Fallen Angels.  They had all decided to retire and drift off into the cosmos.  Besides the New Republic would expect that.  Far better to give them something they didn't anticipate.

Daishi knew who to gather for this mission but the question now was how to get them close enough to pull this off.

First he had some calls to make.

Pushing a few buttons on his comm panel Daishi started one of Tycho's encryption routines.

"Captain Greyscuttle, bring the Sweetums to Point Theta with all due haste.  I'll explain when I get there."  Daishi said as he started dailing his next call.

****Alzoc III****

Argon Viper's comm beeped.  He looked down to see who was calling him and was suprised to see the call was coming in on the old Fallen Angel's channel.

"Argon, I need your help.  Gather the rest of Wraith.  I'll be there in two hours with transportation off planet."  Daishi's voice came into Argon's ear.

Argon quietly slipped away from the rebels.  He now had a job to do.  Despite his desire to free Kuroishi by himself he couldn't ignore Daishi's request either.

It took most of the two hours for Argon to gather Wraith in one spot.

****Control room Dominion****

"Sir a new contact entering system.  We're getting an identification beacon.  It's a CR-90 called the Sweetums.  What should we do?"  A tech shouted to Fury.

Fury knew the truth about who was on the new arrival.  Though not many did.  That fact actually helped protect the VE from the past transgressions of the two Robert Lee's.  As far as the NR could prove only one existed and was wanted for warcrimes. If they knew about both it could turn either fortunately or unfortunately.

"Let it proceed for now.  We don't have the resources to deal with the Sweetums and the fleeing rebels at the same time."  Fury replied.

Fury felt truely sorry for the men he had forced to watch the Deathwookie's cooking show.  It seemed now that it had been a total waste of effort.

Angel;s mind strayed in and out of rational thought. His dreams reminded him of the time he went on a 5 day binge with a trandoshin named Fluffy. Somewhere between the fading in and out of consciousness, he saw Dee standing over him. He tried to speak, but all that came out was a low gurgling sound.

He slipped back into unconsciousness. He felt like he was falling. Stars swirled past him. Planets whizzed by. Time stood still. Just when he was about to be overwhelmed by it all, everything came to a hault. He saw a shuttle in space, moving towards a star destroyer. It zoomed in, and he saw his body laying on a makeshift bunk. looking at himself he began to make out all the scars on his body, and remember where they all came from.

he could have had them removed ages ago, but they were a part of him. each one had its own memories attached to it. Reaching out, he tried to touch the one across his chest....

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" angel shouted as he woke and sat upright.

Dee jumped out of his chair and almost fell to the deck.

"Jeeze angel, you almost gave me a heart attack there."

Breathing heavily, angel tried to move his legs, but found he couldn't. "Dee...i cant move my legs." he said, tears welling up in his eyes.

"We know, preliminary scans show you broke ur back just above your waist, but its treatable by about 2 days of bacta. sounds like fun for you huh?"

Angel let the tears come. The pain was gone, replaced only by a dead numbness from his lower body, the sort of numbness that comes from bending something too long. Angel waited for the tingling feeling that usually came after that...but none came. Laying back in the bunk, he turned towards Dee.

"where are we?"

"About to dock with the Dominion. Jester just got evac-ed with shansta and some high ranker. Still no sign of wraith really, i guess Kuroishi was taken, and we still dont know what this "Savior" really is."

Sighing heavily, angel shut his eyes in a vain attempt to wake himself up from a bad dream. but the numbness ruined that for him, and he just layed there, his part in this play over...

Afyon grabbed onto part of the speeder with his right arm and managed to bring himself into something of a sitting position.  He then rolled his field pack and equipment bag off of his legs and took out his pistol just incase it was needed.

"Alright" Afyon gasped, the pain in his chest was worsening and he was having problems breathing.  "Someone...send...a...message to...the ship...tell them...we need...to be...evacuated."  He gasped as he dropped his pistol and grabbed his chest.  The pain felt like a firey spear being stabbed right into his chest.

Afyon pulled off his helmet and his ski mask, revealing his long wavey black hair that was matted in sweat and blood.  A fragment of ice sent flying by one of the shells and made a cut on his head right between his right eye and ear.  It wasnt a serious cut and much of the bleeding had stopped due to the cold freezing the area around the cut.

Afyon that got Deep Rogue to help him get his chest plate off so as to help him breath better.  He found it helped a bit but he couldnt help but notice the large dent in the front of the chest plate.  A dent that had rippled right into his chest - or so it felt.  He began to see black spots around him.  The blood loss and pain of his injuries was starting to make him sub-conscious.  With a painful thud, Afyon collapsed fromhis semi-sitting and was lying out cold in the back of the speeder.

[OOC:  All sorts of evil dirty thoughts are now running through my head.  Bad me no kit kat bite. What the heck I should go ahead and give those poor techs a small reward for having to watch such a television program.  /OOC]

Daishi looked over at the commtech aboard the Sweetums.

"I need a secure line to the Dominion.  I might as well be polite about this."  Daishi said as the Sweetums moved in toward Alzoc III.

"I've got the commtech aboard the Dominion.  Putting it on your headset now."  The crew of the Sweetums were still sharp even though they had been given a bit of time off lately.

"Dominion, this is Sweetums.  We will take care of evacuating Wraith squad. Tell the General hello for me."  Daishi said as soon as the line was open.

Daishi sat back in the command chair and waited for the Sweetums to land.

"Open Wraith squad frequency.  Everyone ready to get off that frozen piece of rock?"  Daishi said.

The Sweetums landed and lowered a boarding ramp.

Daishi stood there to great the squad he was 'borrowing' for this mission wearing the familiar Varneck Marine Combat Armor.  Heck he even submitted a proper request, he just wasn't waiting for the response.

"Greetings gentlemen.  For those of you who have not traveled aboard the Sweetums before we have one rule for your safety.  Stay in the areas marked in blue.  Even though the Deathwookie has gone on to his cooking show I still have six hungry friends who don't mind dinning on human, they know not to leave thier part of the ship though."  Daishi announced as Wraith squad started up the ramp.

Argon had been a Fallen Angel and thus this ship was familiar to him.

The rest of Wraith seemed particulary disturbed at the company Daishi kept.

Daishi raised the ramp then turned back to head up to the bridge.

"Mr. Greyscuttle, take her to rendevue with the fleet at Point Baker.  I will be briefing our guests."  Daishi said as soon as he stepped onto the bridge.

Daishi turned and left the bridge and headed down to the Fallen Angel's old quarters.  Argon had already set up in his old quarters.

"Where is the rest of Wraith?"  Daishi asked studying his old subordinate.

"In the lounge/briefing room."  Argon replied.

"Good.  Soon as your settled join us there, we got some planning to do."  Daishi said knowing how difficult this was on the two of them.

Daishi went on to the lounge/briefing room.

"Good morning Wraith squad.  I am Daishi.  Some of you may reckognize me as a Rear Admiral in the VEN and are wondering why I am interested in gathering you all together aboard this ship.  It is simple I intend to mount a rescue mission for Kuroishi."  Daishi said as soon as Argon joined the rest of the squad.

"Why, what is he to you, he was our squad leader?  What authority do you have for such a thing, like you said you are VEN not VEA?"  Lukas asked knowing Kuroishi had made sure he was able to get out of this mission in one piece.

"He is my otherself.  No we are not identical twins.  One of us is the clone of the other.  This gives me all the reason and authority I need."  Daishi said as he removed the helmet of his VMCA.

Only Raziel and Argon Viper were previously aware of what Daishi had just told Wraith squad.

"I know they are currently holding Kuroishi on F'Tral.  Once we meet up with Task Force Death's Nest  I'll be able to get some planetary data for you.  From what I can tell they intend to make Kuroishi's warcrime tribunal as high profile as they can by inviting some heros of the NR to be a part of this trial in some manner.  That gives us a few months to put together a rescue mission.  If it exists it will be available as equipement for this mission.  The Fallen Angels had spent a few years gathering weapons and equipment to start a black market within the VE, unfortunately since the Fallen Angels have dispersed I now sit on all that stored equipement.  Argon you alone of all of us has the stomach to do what I request next.  GUESSWORK is having trouble figuring out how many guards and prisoners there are in the facility.  Go through the old Fallen Angel network see what you can find out.  Until we have a plan and some information we get to sit back and relax.  This vessel has been modified to provide a very comfortable existance for the FA, Deathwookie, and my other six friends."  Daishi briefed.

Now all there was to do was wait.

After Mandor had gotten off the transport and had been dismissed he walked at a somber pace back to his meger quarters. He stripped off his scarred armor and laid flat on his bunk.

He laid with his arms behind his head slipping more and more into a warm comfortable doze.He slept for about 11 hours when he finnaly woke up.He realized after his stomach grumbled for the tenth time that he was hungry. It  had been more then 32 hours since his last meal.

He walked to the mess hall after he had put on his BDU's. He walked through the line, picked up a high carbo meal, and a orange tasting thick drink. He sat down at a table and began shoving food down his throat as fast as he could. He finished his meal in under 5 minutes and walked back to his quarters.

He put his armor on his bed and pulled out his bottle of GLEEN!!! He polished his armor until it looked like new again.Heck it practicly was. He cleaned all his weapons and put his equipment back into his locker. He looked at the picture of his girlfriend he left at home and smiled.
He pulled out his LJ-90 and walked to the firing range. Mandor practiced shooting for about 2 hours before walking back to his bed. He laid back down and fell asleep wanting to never have to wake again.

"Where to heck am I!" Was all Kairo could think. He had set out to lookfor his squad, but instead had gotten lost. "Just what I need. To be stuck on a stupid ice planet without any long term shelter." Suddenly he heard a faint rumble from his left and started to see smoke. Then there was an asome explosion from what seemed like a tank erupting. "That has to be my guys." Kairo said as he sped off for that direction.

When he arrived at the spot he saw the remains of a tank and foot prints. "They seem to cut off here. They must have jumped something and sped off, but where?" Pulling out his micro bynoculars he scanned the horizon. Sweeping the gaze along he almost missed the two speeders being chased by 5 rebel sleds. His com crackled and Afyon's pained voice came over the speaker, " Hello... werre. . .pinned dwon here... and we.. need. emergency... evac.. uhg..uation." Pushing the speeder to as fast is it could go, Kairo sped off.

When he was only 50 meters off he saw how badly they were under attck. It seemed like Afyon was out and the rest of the troops were trying to hold the Rebels back, and Rema seemed to be trying to fly a seperate speeder by himself. "They must be out of ammo."Kairo cursed as he pulled up behind the first Rebel sled. he saw the pilot turn his head around and try to dodge, but to late, a nicely aimed shot from Kairo went right between his eye sokcets on his helmet. The sled carreaned and crashed into the snow.

His cover blown Kairo sped up to catch up with two of the other sleds lagging behind. Unfortunately they saw and two of the gunners turned around and started firing at him. Seeing that they were slowly decending into an ice tube, Kairo got an idea. "I hate myself sometimes." Kairo said as they were completly surrounded by ice. "Good idea for whoever is driving up there. Now they only have one vehicle behind them. But bad for me. Unlesss." Launching the throttle forward, kairo pulled out four throwing knives. When he was almost on top of the Rebels, Kairo twisted the controls to the left and held on. His bike statrted to circle around the tube over the rebel sled. Throwing all the daggers with one hand, Kairo was rewarded with a scream. Once his bike had done a full circle he looked back. Both the driver and the unner were dead.

"Only two more left. And they're way ahead of me." Switchign on the channel to DD frequincy he said," Just hold on guys I am on my way."

Argon sat down at the familiar old comm station.

From here, he had access to the Fallen Angels intel network, possibly the most powerful intel service in entire galaxy, mainly for the fact that no one knew it existed, or if they did, they had very good reasons not to "know" anything about it.

He tapped one of their sources first, a source deep within the New Republic command structure on Coruscant.

From there, he learned the names, locations, and arrival times of the dignitaries, heroes, and other officials who would be attending the trial.

He also learned that it was to take place on the most secure world in the Republic, Yavin 4, where two entire New Republic fleets and three full regiments of elite troops were being sent to back up the already powerful Jedi defense.

They were obviously taking no chances with this trial.

Argon fingered his lightsaber, which he had left stored aboard the Sweetums.

He, like the rest of the Fallen Angels, refused to turn to the dark side, and so the Vast Empire Dark Jedi refused to allow him a lightsaber in VE areas.

He worked through another source, this one on F'tral.

Schedules had been diverted on F'tral as massive and heavy security had been requested and was being set up.

An entire hospital wing was in the process of being cleared out and refitted to accept the new prisoner and the massive guard that would accompany him.

Argon gathered the necessary details from both sources, including names, numbers, and locations, and headed for the bridge.

There he found Daishi leaning over a computer terminal, obviously hard at work devising a plan.

Argon walked up behind him and sketched a picture perfect textbook salute.

Years in the military, from the HOS:SO to the DLSF to the IW to the VE had taught him perfection in the skill, but it was one he refused to use on someone he didn't respect, something which irked most VE officers to no end.

Daishi on the other hand, had led him again and again into impossible situations, bringing him and the Fallen Angels out alive more times than he could count.

If anyone deserved a salute, he'd pick this Rear Admiral/Sergeant over the Grand Admiral Ronin himself.

Daishi turned around as he heard the faint whisper of movement.

"Ah," he said, "I assume you've got what we need."

Argon nodded, handing him the datapad with the relevant information on it.

Daishi took it slowly, looking his old comrade over.

Something was different, he couldn't place it.

Then it clicked, Argon Viper, Sergeant Major of the Vast Empire Army had shed the uniform and stormtrooper armor.

Instead, he now bore the uniform of an Intruder Wing Colonel, complete with the Commodore insignia on the collar.

Daishi nodded and took out the datapad.

It was appropriate, on this ship Argon was no longer just an outside maniac in a disciplined organization, he was a commander who had led thousands of men into battle, and that was something that would show through no matter what uniform he wore.

Raziel had not been seen for quite some time aboard the sweetums. He had requested an secure channel to send some message across and some privacy.
Raziel had worked both below and above Kuroishi for quite some time now and he ahd always been thankful for his help. When Raziel had asked he had trained men for him and when Raziel had stepped down from squad leader Kuroish had been quick to step up and do a magnificent job. Raziel owed him.

Currently Raziel was awaiting a message from one of his numerous contacts whilst browsing over the plans for Kuroishi's prison. It was impressive. It was a challenge.
Nothing much had stopped Raziel from physically infiltrating a secure site, but when something did there were always other methods. After his recent trip to Nar Shadaa many of his previous contacts who had refused to have anything to do with him for fear of the ancients were now quite willing to pay back old favours. There was a quiet chirping noise from the station. He had a message waiting.

"Daishi," Raziel said. It was hard to look at him in a different way to Kuroishi, there were always going to be subtle differences in manner, but it was still distrubing.
Daishi turned around and looked down at Raziel.
    "Yes?"
"Well i've been talking with some people..."
    "I noticed,"
"...And well several different people owe me big favours, BIG favours. It just happens to be that there are a chain of IOU's that lead to a company who hire out bodyguards, military equipment and droids."
    "The point?"
"If you want i can leave now and be at F'tran within the month as a security guard. I've pulled this off on several occasions, normally i've been on my own and the job was much simpler. However if i'm careful i should be able to keep in regular contact, it might take me a few weeks but im sure i can help from inside. In the end it's up to you though, i've no idea what you have planned for the rescue mission but im not much use in a straight fight anyway.  What do you want me to do?"

(OOC: i can remove this if you want Kuroishi)

[OOC: Fury, you know I've got a lot of respect for you, this wasn't directed at you personally or any other officer of the VE as a whole.  There are just times I think you guys forget that I (and the whole lot of us who were Fallen Angels) come from a very different background than you guys.  I've followed Daishi for...  must be well over three or four years now, and I'm trying to explain in flashbacks why the FA had a hard time obeying the VE command staff, and in my case, still does.  I appologize if it came out that I have no respect for you guys, that's not the case.  The point is that, for me at least, the Fallen Angels still come first, and I think that's worth remembering for me and sometimes others as well.  In addition, there are sometimes it seems to me that a lot of what we've done has been forgotten, and I just like to make sure that, in some way or another, the group is remembered.  Please don't take it as a poor criticism of the VE, this is just my way of remembering what used to be, even when most don't.  /OOC]

PS - I'm not even sure if this is what I want to say.  Basically, I'm appologizing to Fury for any offense (I had no intention of that) and trying to explain my reasons (yes, I had some).  Anyways, I'll probably end up adding to this later...

Merrick woke up suddenly as the shuttle landed in the shuttle bay of the Dominion. She looked at the prisoners, one of whom seemed to be grinning stupidly, possibly trying to hide the dread of what would come next. She grinned back and lardo looked away pretty quickly. Merrick hauled herself up and exited the shuttle. "Sergeant, do you need medical attention?" Merrick looked at the medic. "Yup, but I got stuff to do first. Maybe later." He started to argue but Merrick turned to talk to Jester and he gave up. "Nice job guys, there's a couple guards will take care of our honoured guests. You lot get medical attention if you need it, and grab some rest. I am gonna go report in." And with that she turned and left for the bridge.

----

Merrick nodded at Cosmic as he left. He looked almost as bad as she felt, and seemed to be heading back down into the fun. Merrick approached Fury and saluted, kinda. She didn't have much energy left to put too much effort into it. "Sergeant, welcome back. I hope not all that blood is yours." Merrick shook her head. "Enough of it is." Fury nodded slightly. "So, what's your take on the prisoners?" Merrick leaned against a wall. "well I figure since they seemed to be in such good humour and so calmly leaving after the self destruct was armed, they must have armed it. And since they armed it, that must make the CO and XO of what used to be a base. They did our job for us, if there was a weapon there to start with, and more info can never hurt." Fury nodded. "Shall I leave you in charge of their interrogation, Sergeant?" Merrick mustered enough energy to grin slightly and nod. "Yes I figured you'd like that. Get yourself looked at, too. No need to die from your wounds." Merrick saluted and left the bridge happily, meandering nice and slow along the corridors. Most of the staff on the bridge had seemed rather glad that she, and her axe, had departed.

[OOC:  Well now.  Seems one of our old arguements has started up again.  Once again I'm going to do my best to stay out of it this time.  /OOC]

"That will most definately come in handy Raziel.  I'll make the Royal Barkalounger ready to take you where you need to go.  We'll be at Task Force Death's Nest in a few minutes, I'll get you some planetary information before you leave."  Daishi answered Raziel's request.

The NR was most certainly expecting the old crew of the Fallen Angels.  The extra security, isolating Kuroishi in a private hospital wing with nothing but guards and a couple doctors, and the gathering of some heroes.

If Daishi had the Fallen Angels and Wraith available for this one he might well wait until Kuroishi was moved to Yavin IV for trial.  The challenge would be fun.  But the Fallen Angels aside from himself and Argon had all retired long ago and both Daishi and Kuroishi respected that.

It was time to put Wraiths to the test anyway.  See how well they could infiltrate.

The facility was a prison, designed to keep people in.  It even probably had force fields at various places to contain riots.  Fortunately Raziel had solved this problem with his suggestion.

Now Daishi had to figure out how to get the rest of Wraith into the prison.

A moment later and Task Force Death's Nest appeared around the Sweetums.

Daishi sent a querry to the planetary information database aboard the Neb-B Furious.  Next he sent a communication to make ready the Royal Barkalounger.

"Raziel,  good luck.  Everything we have gathered for this mission is being uploaded to the Royal Barkalounger's computer as we speak.  I'll have Captain Greyscuttle take you to where ever you wish to jump off from.  If there is anything you need before you leave don't be affraid to ask, I'm sitting on several frieghtors filled with things the Fallen Angels took from the battlefield, or just plain stole."  Daishi said watching a man worthy of his respect leave the lounge.

Daishi felt both proud and sad.  He and his otherself had managed to earn such loyalty and respect from thier men that such an operation as this was possible.

"ROBERT!!!!"  Came the high pitched voice of Tina.

"Tina, I was wondering how long it would take you to come see me."  Daishi replied hugging his wife.

For Tina thier marriage was a perpetual honeymoon.  For Daishi he was more then willing to make that kind of effort.

"I'm sorry honey but I got work to do."  Daishi said reluctantly breaking the embrace with his wife.

"I understand.  You'll come see me as soon as you are finished won't you?"  Tina replied.

"Absolutely.  Now the sooner I get started working the sooner I can come see you."  Daishi answered.

For the Wraiths gathered in the lounge this strange bizzare showing of open affection was at the very least disturbing.  They had come to accept Daishi as one of the most vicous cold hearted killers of all time.

Daishi activated a holographic projector and brought up a display of the planetary information for F'Tral.

"Gentlemen as you can see insertion will be a difficult matter.  F'Tral is a prison world covered in quasi intelligent plants that have evolved various strategies for becoming successfull carnivirous hunters.  Even if my otherself escaped he would not be able to get far without weapons and help.  Raziel is proceeding ahead of the rest of Wraith squad.  His mission will be to aide or insertion by whatever means possible.  The facility is being reinforced as we speak.  Our best chance for insertion appears to be through an under used maintenance shaft that leads itno the prison water treatment facility.  We will give Raziel two weeks to establish himself as a trusted security guard.  After such time the rest of us will come in during night on the Royal Barkalounger, land here and make our way on foot to the maintenance shaft.  From the maintenance shaft we will break up into teams to accomplish various tasks.  Argon will be responsible for demolishing the prison armory with a vengance.  Raziel will find the warden and liberate his passcodes once the fighting starts thus giving us free reign of the base.  The rest of us will proceed to where Kuroishi is being held.  By the time we get there Kuroishi should be mobile again.  If not Tyummk and Lukas shall pack him out on a streatcher while I provide cover fire.  I recomend for the march to the prison flamethrowers and thermal detonators.  Once inside the prison we're going to have all sorts of varying range combat so grab what you like for that.  I have myself covered."  Daishi said as the briefing flashed from the data to a local area map with a schematic then finished his briefing by placing his Timbique Edition Zues rifle on the table.

Daishi made the preperations to dock with the frieghtors carrying weapons so that Wraith squad could feel like kids in a candy store.

Now everything hinged on Raziel's cover holding.

"I've located them, sir." The piloted tapped on the monitor of his scanner where he had found the location of the Dark Dragoons. "There's still some pretty heavy resistance out there, sir. It's not safe to land."

"Who says we're going to land?" Cosmic looked out through the main view port and watched intently for any sign of the Dark Dragoons. He spotted them a half a klick from where they were. They were next to a burning T3-B, and the Rebel forces were advancing on them quickly. He also noticed a small area of charred bodies next to the Dark Dragoons' location and smirked.

"What will you have me do, sir?" asked the pilot as he looked up at the Colonel.

"Hover beside them. Get down close to the ground, and prepare for an immediate ascent at all times. You may have to evade some enemy fire while I'm down there."

"Aye, sir."

The Mu-3 closed in on the Dark Dragoons' location, and the side hatch slid open with Cosmic peering out from its interior. Rema heard the sound of thrusters roaring in the air, and pulled his head out from the snow. He looked up and saw a shuttle descending down to them, and was instantly relieved when he saw the Imperial emblem on the right side of the hull.

"Guys, get up! We've got help." The Dark Dragoons looked up and saw a Stormtrooper with a red pauldron waving them into the hovering shuttle. He jumped out a few seconds later and quickly ran over to the unconscious Senior Sergeant Afyon. He knelt down and looked back at the squad behind him and began making a repeating motion with his arm towards the shuttle.

"Get your asses in the shuttle! I'll get the Senior Sergeant."

The Dark Dragoons hesitated for a moment before climbing into the shuttle. They didn't like the idea of leaving one of their own behind, and for only one man to carry him into the shuttle. They soon realized why he hadn't requested help, and they pressed their bodies against the interior bulkheads with their heads looming around the ship's opening. They watched, amazed, as the Stormtrooper below raised his arm and made a somewhat "come here" motion with his wrist. Afyon's body left the ground and was somehow being held in the air by the Stormtrooper below. Their squad mate's body began floating towards them, and they prepared to carry him in.

"Hang tight!" the pilot yelled, and the snow beneath the shuttle quickly dropped to a hundred feet. The shuttle and made an emergency ascent, and several shells fired from the nearest two enemy tanks flew beneath them. The squad inside the shuttle suddenly felt their stomachs jump into their throats as the shuttle made a quick descent. Cosmic made a swift pushing motion with his hand, as if he were pressing against a wall and Afyon's body was thrown lightly into the shuttle. The Dark Dragoon's eased his fall by grabbing onto his arms and legs. Cosmic made what seemed like an impossible leap from where he was standing into the shuttle, and quickly ordered the pilot to lift up. Once again the squads felt their body's pound onto the shuttles floor as the ship made a quick ascent to two hundred feet.

"Wait, sir! Our SL is still down there! He's on a speeder heading towards us!"

Cosmic looked at the pilot, who was already scanning for the heat signature of the speeder. A few seconds had passed before the ship's interior alarms began screaming. The pilot gave a quick gasp before yanking the ship's stick hard to the left and back. Cosmic and the Dark Dragoons' bodies were hurled into the bulkhead opposite them, and landed hard on the steel floor. The shuttle yawed to the left a bit before pulling up and ascending four hundred feet.

Cosmic gave several hard taps on Rema's shoulder to get his attention, "Get a hold of your SL and inform him to head away from our current location. Tell him to head North-West and gain some ground. We'll pick him up in exactly three minutes!"

Rema nodded and followed his orders.

--------------------

The shuttle was gaining ground on Kairo's speeder. Kairo took a quick glance over his shoulder and spotted the shuttle heading towards him. He gave a quick wave as the Mu-3 pulled up next to him. Cosmic extended his arm and nodded, "Let go of the speeder, Corporal! Just do it!"

Kairo felt a strange force wrap around his body as he finally let go of the speeder's handles. His body fell back, and he felt the speeder slide away from beneath, but he didn't hit the ground. Instead, he found himself floating in the air and closing in on the opening of the shuttle. He reached out towards his Squad and grabbed their arms. They quickly pulled him in and shut the hatch. Cosmic walked up to the pilot and tapped him on the shoulder.

"Get us out of here. The extraction is complete."

The pilot nodded and proceeded to change directions. The shuttle suddenly jerked in all directions, and the personnel within the shuttle tumbled to the floor. The alarms within the shuttle again sounded.

"What the hell was that!?" Cosmic yelled through the loud ringing. The pilot immediately accelerated and pulled the stick from side-to-side, trying to regain stability. He looked down at the console in front of him and frowned.

"Sir, some lucky bastard down there got a lucky shot and hit our main thruster and part of our engine. We can still make it back to the Dominion, but you better inform them to have an emergency crew on the hangar bay when we pull in. We're not going to be able to brake so well."

Cosmic nodded, "Just so long as we get back intact."

                      10 Minutes Before Cosmic's Post
----------------------------------------------------------------------

"Sithspit!" Rema yelled as his landspeeder grinded against the ice walls. Trying to fly and use the gunner on the landspeeder was almost impossible, but he had to try. As he sped ahead following Slash and Mars in the sled, who was following Kjerri on a speeder, Rema shot a quick glance Afyon's landspeeder. It wasnt looking good. Their landspeeder was drooping on the left side, and smoke came from the rear. They needed to get out of this ice deathtrap and get into some open area. Not that open areas were much better.

Rema picked up his personal comlink and flicked it on.

"Kjerri, can you see how long until this ice trench lasts??" Rema said. There was no answer for a few seconds and then Kjerri spoke:

"Not sure, maybe like 400 meters" Kjerri replied.

"Ok. Afyon and Deep Rogue are getting the crap basted out of them. We need to get into the open fast." Rema said.

"Got it. Slash, Mars, Deep Rogue, put the throttle all the way forward and follow me." Kjerri ordered. Everyone sped up, flying through the ice tunnel. A few times Rema grazed the ice wall causing sparks and snow to fly. He could see them beginning to head up and then all of a sudden the ice just stopped and they were in the open.

"Ok everyone, follow me up this hill, we are gonna make a stand and signal for air support." Kjerri ordered once more.  Kjerri reached the top of the hill, stopped and jumped off his speeder. Mars and Slash skidded to a halt and jumped out as well, put the sleds guns on auto fire. As Rema reached the top, he cut power to his speeder, grabbed his bag and jumped out before the speeder had even slowed that much. It flew over the crest of the hill and it could be heard plowing into the snow. Next Deep Rogue and Afyon's landspeeder came to a halt. Rema ran over to help Deep Rogue pull Afyon from the landspeeder. They took him over next to Kjerri's speeder and laid him down.

Blaster fire erupted from Mars and Slash's blasters as two rebel speeders came flying at DD. The speeders were moving to fast, but somehow one of them exploded. The other turned and flew off, and chasing it was Kairo. He gave a quick salute and followed the enemy before it could report their location.

"INCOMING!!!" Deep Rogue yelled as he pointed towards a advancing column of tanks. The faster moving TB-3 tank started shooting its surface-to-surface missiles at the DD position. Rema dived over the crest of the hill and poked his head back up with his Flechette Launcher in hand. He began shooting the secondary grenade shot, but he couldnt get them to hit any of the tanks in vital areas. The TB-3 loomed closer, shelling the DD area. An explosion sounded from behind Rema and heat rolled over him. That was too close

Just as Rema turned back towards the TB-3, which was almost on top of them, he saw three grenades fly out of Slash's, Mar's and Deep Rogue's hands. They all rolled under the tank and seconds later it exploded. They all ducked and a cheer went up. As they were cheering, the remaining four Rebel Tanks began firing at them. Four rebel snow sleds could be seen heading their way. Things were becoming to difficult for them. They were running out of ammo, grenades and the enemies kept on coming. It wasnt looking good for DD.

As Rema thought that, a whining sound could be heard coming from above them. Rema looked up and saw a shuttle heading towards them. "Spast Rebels from above. We are toast." But as he finished saying that, a large blue crest could be seen on the side of the shuttle and Rema couldnt help but smile....

Fury strolled back across the bridge again.  When he got to the viewport, he turned around and walked back the way he had come. Again.

A comm tech tugged at his tunic.  "Uh, General?"

Fury slowly turned.  "Yes?"

"All squads have been recovered and are more or less intact.  As requested, no offer of surrender has been made to the remaining Republic troops.  Those that live through the night may be more receptive to shooting at our craft."

"Has this information been passed to our 'guests'?"

The technician nodded.  "SSG Merrick is dutifully relaying that information as we speak." He frowned.  "She is still pretty dosed up on meds."

"That will likely leave a mark on at least the fat guy," Fury noted.  The tech whinced, then gave a half-hearted grin.  "Recall the fighters and send out two groups of probots.  One passive recon, the other active hunters on a variable patrol pattern.  No need for our adversaries to sleep through the night. Likely enough, they'll lose the fight left in them once the temperature falls. Tomorrow should bring an end to this conflict."

"And what of the base sir?"

"Send in the droids.  I don't care what kind, just as long as we get the innards of that wreckage scanned for any remaining equipment.  Retrieve anything that may give us a hint as to what was going on down there."

Anubis had been out of this war for far too long.  "My time spent as a smuggler since the Emperor's death wasn't without its cost," Anubis told himself as he viewed his scores from the Computer Target Training Program onboard the Dominion.

As he returned to his room he looked at his stormtrooper uniform, remembering the days when he was an agent of Palpatine.  But those days were gone now, replaced with warlords and Admirals, all bidding to replace the all too weak Empire.  Only time will tell if his decision to rejoin the Empire will pay off for him or not.

Merrick sat in front of Shansta grinning. He seemed to be sobbing a little, and was trying hard to avoid looking at her or anyone else in the room. Tylen and Hashi were dealing with Buschelle in another room. A Dark Jedi is a wonderful tool to have at your disposal. "So, Shansta, is there anything actually inside that fat head or yours? Come on, you can tell us. We'll be a lot nicer if you do." He looked up a little and stopped snivelling for long enough to mutter a few words. "Fair enough. Now what's this Savior thing everyone has been so excited about, hm?" He shook his head and laughed, though a little nervously. "I'm not going to tell you that, it's the most important thing to our survival." Merrick grinned further and he stopped laughing. "I see, so it definitely wasn't destroyed in the base or you wouldn't be so confident about it being so important. Thanks lard boy." Merrick got up and left the room, followed by all but Dragoon.

"Boss, you really should just leave this to us and get some rest. You haven't even let them look at your wounds properly." Sokudo and Vult nodded agreement with Frog. Merrick shrugged. "Just let me report this to Fury and I will think about it."

----

Merrick returned to find Dragoon sitting and staring intently at Shansta, who appeared to just be shaking and looking at the floor. "Have you been scaring him Dragoon?" Dragoon shook his head. "No Boss, just sitting here looking at him." Merrick shook her head. "Ok, I'm gonna go to the sick bay 'cause Fury ordered me to, see what you can get out of him without violence, and report back to me." Dragoon saluted lazily and turned back to Shansta as Merrick left, sending Vult, Frog and Sokudo back in to make sure Dragoon didn't kill the poor guy just yet.

"Sir, we're in line with the Dominion, and I'm heading in." The pilot pressed a few buttons on the console in front of him and breathed out slowly. A few beads of sweat rolled down his temples and forehead.

"Speed?" queried the Colonel.

"Too fast is all I can say, sir. Needed a good boost to get out of Alzoc's atmosphere due to our engine damage, and I couldn't slow us down. I've already shut down the main engines and have activated what functional secondary thruster's we've got left, but after that there's nothing I can do. We're just a huge Bantha riding on kinetic energy."

Cosmic nodded and returned to his seat. He lightly hugged his chest with one arm and winced. He had kept his helmet on due to the fact that he knew that at least three of his ribs were broken from that last impact, and the last thing he wanted to show anyone, even a friendly party, was weakness. He closed his eyes and tapped into the Force, easing his pain.

"Dominion, this is Mu-3 shuttle 9a coming in to final approach."

"Copy that, 9a. Designated hangar bay is clear for docking."

"Be warned Dominion, our main thrusters have been shot out and our engines aren't at peak efficiency either. We have no reverse thrusters to slow our approach. Have a medical team standing by."

"Copy that, 9a."

The pilot looked over his shoulder and nodded, "This is it. Brace yourselves."

Cosmic slid off his seat and pressed up against the pilot's chair. He spotted a strap dangling from the shuttle's upper plating, a strap that was meant to be used for grabbing onto for stabilization before leaping out of the shuttle and onto the battlefield. Cosmic closed his eyes and squeezed the strap in his tight grasp; his jaws clenched as he waited for the pain.

The shuttled sped past the hangar bay's force field and quickly dropped onto the metal flooring. The shuttle bounced once before sliding further into the hangar bay, and spinning as it headed for the large bulkhead in front of it. The shuttle slammed into the hangar bay's thick walls and bounced back a bit, sending the squad members hurtling towards the cockpit. The console light's flickered out as Rema slammed into it. Afyon's body could not be held down, and he hit the back of the pilot's head with his back as he was forced towards the cockpit.

All Cosmic could remember before the impact was seeing the bodies of the Dark Dragoon's thrown towards him, and then the sharp, stabbing pain in the back of his head as his helmet brutally hit the back of the pilot's seat. He had lost consciousness just as Afyon's body flew over him.

-----------------------------

Hashi tightened his grip on his E-11 as he glared down at the battered body of Vic'tahr Buschelle. Tylen was pacing in a circle around Buschelle with his hands clasped behind his back. The Dark Jedi had the appearance of one with high authority with the way he walked around their prisoner.

Unlike Shantsa, Buschelle did not have his head bowed down, nor did he have one hint of watery eyes. Hashi could easy see that the man sitting in that interrogation chair was bold. He may have lost his army and fortress, but he had not lost his dignity and pride, and that was what confused him most. He had never encountered or seen a Rebel with such a fiery grin while being held captive, nor the sight of those cold black eyes glaring back at him, penetrating through his armor and seemingly clenching at his soul. Indeed, something was different about this one, but he had no clue on what the answer was to that question.

At last, Buschelle had stirred in his seat and looked up at the pacing Dark Jedi circling him. "You can forget about trying to squeeze any information out of me, young man. Your efforts are in vain." Buschelle's grin grew wider as he knew that these two Imperials weren't going to get anywhere with him.

"Just tell me what 'Savior' is, and we'll be all done." Tylen said calmly.

Buschelle chuckled and shook his head, and then looked up, "I'm going to say this once, young man, so you better listen carefully."

Tylen stopped his pacing and rotated his body so that he faced Buschelle, "Go on."

Vic'tahr grinned through cracked lips and bruised cheeks, "You are asking all the wrong questions." He sat back in his seat and closed his eyes, a grin still on his face.

Hashi couldn't take it anymore, and blurted something out that he knew should've stayed in, "What is it with you?!"

Buschelle slowly opened his eyes, and once again those midnight-black eyes penetrated through him.

"You're prideful, unwearied, and seemingly content with the situation at hand! All of the Rebel's that I've seen have at least shaken once in fear by the Imperials, yet you have not shown any hint of fear. Who the hell are you!?"

Vic'tahr cocked his head to his right and chuckled, "Again, you ask the wrong questions."

"Then tell us! Tell us or I'll blow you're friggin' head off!" Hashi's muscles suddenly tightened as he raised his E-11 so that the nozzle was no more than just a few inches away from Buschelle's face. Tylen walked over and pressed down lightly on Hashi's arm, slowly lowering the weapon. He leaned his head in towards Hashi's and whispered in his ear, "I want to see every last atom in that bastard's body incinerate too, but we can't do anything until we get what we need."

The E-11 eventually lowered next to Hashi's leg. Tylen looked back over to Buschelle and began his pacing again.

"A lot of Imperials just follow the orders in which their superiors give them. No questions and no hesitations. You on the other hand don't' seem to be that brainwashed type. You actually think for yourself and say and do whatever you want." Buschelle chuckled, "Something which could eventually kill you. I'm impressed, and for that I'll give you a hint to this great puzzle."

Tylen stopped and looked down at Buschelle's from behind the chair. Hashi stared intently through his helmet, waiting for some reasonable answer to rid him of his questions.

"You seek to find what 'Savior' is. You're looking for schematics, searching through the various intelligence reports, and listen to every single worthless message that you intercept. What amuses me most is that you keep using the word 'what' to try and find your answers to everything. 'What's Savior?' this and 'What's Savior?' when really you should exchange the 'what' to something else. 'Savior' isn't a 'What' gentlemen, but of course I know that you are only mere Imperials, and impressed as I may seem about your independent thought, I know deep down inside that you are just a faction of brainwashed individuals."

"That was one," said Hashi, raising his blaster to his chest. "Now the second."

Vic'tahr looked over at Hashi and smirked, "You ask who I am? Fine. I am General Vic'tahr Buschelle, Commander of the Fifth Ground Forces of the New Republic and Commanding Officer of the New Republic fortress on Alzoc III."

Although Vic'tahr couldn't see the Corporal's expression, he knew that Hashi was still unsatisfied.

"You ask the wrong questions, and you'll get unwanted answers." Buschelle grinned once again before closing his eyes.

Merrick made her way out of the sick bay, much to the medical staff's annoyance. She'd had enough rest and was tired of being poked and prodded by damn medics. Besides, she had a job to do. Shansta wouldn't interrogate himself, and she wasn't too sure leaving Dragoon to do it had been the best idea. She also had to check in on Tylen's progress. The sooner they got what they needed, the sooner this damn mission would be over and she could sleep in her own quarters again.

"Ah Dragoon, any progress?" Shansta looked up and quickly back at his feet again as Merrick entered. Dragoon got up and talked quietly to Merrick. She grinned and nodded. "So, Shansta, seeing as though you seem to be in such a telling mood at the moment, who or what is savior?" As she said who, the fat rebel looked up at her. "I see. So it's a person." Merrick smiled some more. "It wouldn't by any chance be your hard ass CO next door would it?" Shansta quickly looked at his feet again and Merrick nodded. "Ah it's so nice to have rebels who will help out the Empire when we ask. Thanks fatso." She turned to Dragoon. "Keep guarding and don't rough him up. We may yet be dealing with misinformation, though from him I'd be surprised." Dragoon nodded and Merrick walked out.

Tylen stopped pacing as Merrick entered and smiled at Buschelle, who looked only mildly surprised to see her again. "So how long have they been letting women into the stormtrooper corps?" Merrick shrugged. "Little longer than I've been in. Besides, I'm a special exception." She casually indicated her axe and grinned. "You know so much about the Empire, more than one would expect for a mere rebel CO. Your base was rather familiar in design, too, old boy." Buschelle smiled slightly and looked up at Merrick. "So I see you have slightly more of a brain than your underlings, senior sergeant. I can see why you're squad leader." Merrick chuckled. "Flattery will get you nowhere. Except maybe a few more bruises. Now savior, I mean, Buschelle.." Vic'tahr looked horrified for a moment before composing himself. But it was too late, Merrick had noticed and was grinning nastily. "That's what I thought. As far as I can tell you are an ex Imperial officer who decided to switch sides. Savior never was a weapon of any kind, but in fact you, as they thought you'd be able to give them an edge over the Empire, what with all your insider knowledge." Buschelle sat staring, expressionless, at Merrick. "Thank you General, you have been most helpful, even if you didn't intend to be. Oh, in future, if you have a future that is, you might consider employing slightly more loyal and trustworthy executive officers. Shansta was far too easy to beat, it was no fun at all." With that Merrick left the room, leaving Tylen and Hashi to guard Buschelle, and headed for the Bridge.

---

"General Fury." Merrick saluted as Fury turned around. "Ah so you're back from sick bay I see, wounds all taken care of I hope." Merrick merely nodded in reply. "I've come to report on the interrogation of our rebel guests, sir. I've discovered what Savior is, thought you might like to know." Fury raised an eyebrow. "Go on sergeant."

"Buschelle is Savior. He is a former Imperial officer who switched sides and the rebels believe he is teir best chance against the Empire now. That's why the base was so familiar, and why they weren't too upset about having to destroy it. It's also why Shansta and Buschelle were still talking about Savior in the present tense, because he's still alive." Fury nodded thoughtfully. "Thank you Sergeant, good job. Dismissed."

Fury pondered his options over a Savarene brandy and a nice cigar.  It was fortuitous that he had made the addition of a separate Army officer's cabin when the ship had been redesigned after its capture.  No need to constantly be kicking out the ship's captain.

Aside from the nice digs and the music, drink, and cigar he was stuck in a pickle.

Sure, all the green troops had finally had a chance to test themselves in battle.  A few troops were banged up, even a couple actual serious injuries.  The materiel used was mostly black market stuff anyway and the shuttles were due for an overhaul as it was.  Though why the hangar crew didn't just tractor in a wounded shuttle was beyond his ken.  They must've been bored or had lost a lot of credits to the squad in sabaac.

As for being a solid mission?  No, they hadn't gained much other than showing how paranoid New Republic intelligence could be.

Half of the major command posts in the NR military were disillusioned ex-Imperials.  Just the well-known ones were a regular honor roll of tactical geniuses over the past few decades.  Why this low-life in the brig was enough to be called "Savior" was beyond him.  He wouldn't follow that imbecile into a cantina with a pocket full of skifters, much less a battlefield.

There were a couple things he could do - other than seeing if Tylen knew enough to rip the man's minor organs to shreds with Force lightning.  He could drop the traitor off on some backwater world intact and let the New Republic believe him compromised and never do business with him again. Seriously, what traitor survives capture from those he turned from without suspicious reasons? Or he could put the man through a lot of pain, a lot of drugs, and a lot of gruesome physical alterations and then interrogate him afresh.  And of course, eliminate him as a traitor when it was all over.  Discredit or dismember.  He needed a chance cube at best to decide.

Better he consult with his staff on it.  Once he finished his cigar of course.
