I feel like i really need to start another character. I'd like to try out architect, although its gonna require going through all the artisan stuff i just finished again (my other character is a master artisan and novice weaponsmith w/1 intermediate box).

I'd like to do this however, but I'd also like a bit of help. Getting the first several skills as an artisan won't be a problem, what I'm going to need though, is hides and bone. With hides and bone I can make bone armor, and while I may be able to either give it back to those or need it, or sell it, more importantly, I'll be getting a ton of exp for it. Bone armor is, in my opinion, the best way, and least boring way, of making exp as an artisan. If there are quite a few of us, and we can keep any artisans supplied with hide and bone to make armor, they can max master artisan in no time.

Like I said, I'd like to try out architect, it looks neat, and I imagine we'll all be wanting a Guild Hall soon or something.

YES!!

If anyone is doing scouting, you'll want to team up with Japheth.  The more hides and bones you collect, the more XP you get.  This is the way to get to creature handler if that is what you are shooting for.  It is a lot easier to level up if we all work together.  Find someone who compliments your profession and work with them (the more the better).

I know a few ppl on the server that went the route of creature handler.  I'll talk with them and see if I can get some bone/hide from them for you....if they still have to get it that is.  Ranger is another profession that requires you to collect tons of bone/hides.

We're definately going to want a guild hall soon.  In there, we'll want all the crafting stations (since private stations product better products than public ones).

I also have a small little mining operation going right now.  If anyone wants to help out with that, that would be great.  Right now it is costing about 8K per day to keep all the mineral extractors running.  I currently have private funding from a friend on the server, but would definatly want more help in running more of them since I can only have 9 or 10 structures to my name.  Or if anyone else wants to become a mineral harvestor, let me know.  This will become very important for architecture trade, as they need a lot of minerals to make anything.

I'm looking at the numbers now, the planet specific guild halls are easier to make, less resouces.

Here's a list for a Corellia one though, its absolutely mind-blowing:

And I wanted to add something else. We seem to have a lot of people on a lot of different planets in a lot of different cities... We need to consolidate, form a presence in a location and most importantly support each other through the begining professions.

Once we have a few of the artisan classes going the money will literally ROLL in, especially since we won't be spending it on equipment and buildings. This means more money for paying for everyone to train skills and buying the few things we cannot make or do ourselves.

I mean, take my word for it, I'm a melee weaponsmith on Intrepid, and I just got the abillity to start making vibroknuckles. I've doubled my money in one day. I'm up to over 155k in the bank and spent 55k today already on a factory to make even MORE knuckles with.

The demand for melee weapons may not be that high, but when you're the only provider on the whole server, you get a ton of business :P
