LoneWolf sat in the lounge, grunting as another drinking contest commenced. It almost made him sick that everything had come down to this. Members of his squadron leaving and coming back, only to leave yet again. Others simply lounging around like it has been a vacation. LoneWolf pratcially jumped as he got a message on his comm from the bridge; it was Riel Fury. "LoneWolf here, what is it sir?" he slumped and yawned as he answered the call. "Aegis Leader you are to report to the RAD Riel's office immidiatly; it appears we have an assignment for you." LoneWolf shot up in his seat from the first sign of work for what seemed like months. Work had been slow, and everyones spirit seemed to be drifting down from the drag of such a long war. The rebels had managed to tack down a supply convoy to the Atrus a few weeks ago and that seemed to hamper everyones hopes of using thier paychecks or enjoying a fresh role of toilet paper. Needless to say everyone was a bit sore in the posterior. The bridge seemed only a few moments away as the Aegis leader casually rushed to his friends office. It wasn't long he was staring at the back of some alien leathered chair, and the canvas of stars further behind the man. Riel turned the seat around to face the squadron leader. "Seems like you were in a bit of a rush. Are you that bored Aegis one?" The reference to his fighter name, sent a tingle down LoneWolf's back. the sheer mention of his warrior self made him excited for any assignment as long as his green lasers would punish those who apposed the Vast Empire. "I guess you could say I've been waiting for the orders for awhile. Sir!" He stood up straight not even wanting to sit down. Riel could sense it and didn't even bother to ask. Riel Shrugged then clasped his fingers infront of his face and proceeded. "As you already know i have an assignemnt for Aegis Squadron. Lately We have been hit by a series of rear raids. We have lost alot of supply convoys throught the Imperial Renements. Though I would rather not help those other Imperial renegades I do want to strike back." Riel shifted in his seat to lean forward and put his elbows on the desk. "I'm sending your sqadron out in the secured regions of inner core space surround the most... prized planets in the galaxy. I want you to take out as much supply convoys as you can, and if possible a few capital ships. This assingment should take a few weeks if not even a month or so. You will have to use various craft including your Tie Advanced. We will use some pirate signified ships as your escorts for this mission. Together you will have a small rag-tag fleet at your disposal. I believe that would summarize it all. I expect you and your men to leave within the next 36 hours. Good luck Ensign." LoneWolf Sharply Saluted, and turned on the heel. "We won't let you down sir!" His boots clanked with each step as he exited the office. While grabbing his comm, and switching channels to number Aegis, LoneWolf couldn't help but grin. He raised Sk8guy on the comm and ordered firmly, "Sk8guy! Prepare the Squadron we leave at 0400 hours tomarrow! We got some rebels to burn." He grinned all the way down the hall to the Aegis hanger to prepare the craft he would take on the mission. (Your Orders and mission details: We will be accompanied by Nebula B Frigate, one Escort Carriers, one Corellian Gunship, and two Corellian BlockRunners. This fleet will be bearing pirate markings and will not be affiliated with any imperial forces. Despite that fact we will have an arsenal of ships at our finger tips. The Escort Carrier will be holding our Tie Advanced, a YT-2400, and YT-2000. The Nebula B will be carrying a supply of Star Vipers, and R-41's. If you wish you may swap one of these supplied neutral fighters for one of your own privatly owned. If you do not own one, or just wish to; then you may use either a Star Viper or a R-41. We will use the non-imperial craft for our base work and only use the Tie Advanced to meet with the fleet and only when the situation seems severe. The beginning objectives will be to... -rondevu with the escort fleet -perform a hit and fade on a Rebel supply convoy heading to Bespin along the Corellian Trading Spine. -await further orders as Aegis Squadron travels along the Corellian Trading spine to the inner rim, and core worlds. Hopefully we can get this going good. I look forward to all of you activity Aegis Squadron.)

Rogue stood on the bridge of the Correlian Gunship assigned to their  little fleet. This type of ship was one of his favorite capitol ships  to be on. The other was the Nebulon B or Z class Frigates. He had just  arrived from the Nebulon B that was serving as the command ship for  this little fleet. He was doing the rounds of the ships in the fleet checking on their  status and supplies. So far the Corvettes and the Escort Carrier were  all set to depart. The Gunship appeared in perfect running order after  his inspection except for one glitch in the command structure. The  captain of the ship wasn't exactly what Rogue would call pirate  material or barely even VEN material. The gunship must have been the  only place they could stick him out of the way. At least his First  Officer was an aggressive one who seemed like he could pull off the  roll of a pirate. This gave Rogue an idea, what if he got LW as fleet commander to give  him command of the gunship over that buffoon captain. He would have to  ask LW as soon as he got back to the Eagle from the Wolf. He returned  to the boarding shuttle that he had used to make the rounds, and then  returned to the FRG Eagle. He headed to the bay where his Cloakshape fighter had been stored. The  VE had suppiled the fleet with a Star Viper and a R-41 for each of  Aegis's pilots. But the pilots could switch one or both out for  personallly owned craft. Personally, Rogue didn't like flying either of  those two so he had his assigned ones removed and replaced by his  modified Cloakshape fighter and his SA-43 Hammerhead. He hadnt wanted  to bring his Hammerhead but He still didnt have enough to purchase a  something with anymore firepower. He had his eye on either a yt-2400  and modifying it or a Skipray Blastboat. He made sure his Cloakshape was fully loaded and ready to go. It was  painted Black with Red stripes along the wings, jsut like Rogue  Squadron. He left the bay and headed along the Hanger toward the  Hammerhead's bay. After checking on that fighter, he headed to LW's  office to report on the ships and see about getting reassigned to  command of the Gunship.

Sk8 sat in his StarViper fighter, the Dragon's Claw. The ship had been loaded with weapons and was now ready for combat. He kept the systems on, anticipating trouble, but locked the ship up. After he finished, he made his way to teh lounge of the frigate for a quick meal before planning with Lonewolf. "Our intelligence reports indicate that the Rebels have a convotyof weapons coming in to Bespin. Looks like they are being guarded by Carrack-cruiser and a squadron of fighters, shouldn't be too much trouble." Lonewolf reported to his XO. "Do we know what kind of fighters?" he asked back as he pulled up the intelligence reports. "I believe they are advanced X-wings, shouldn't be too much trouble." he answered. "Looks like the attacke will be pretty straighforward, three flight hitting the freighters while the other two take out the fighters." "But with that strategy most of the freighters will escape. I think we should have the blockade runners engage the freighters as well, attempting to box then in. Possibly we could have two flights hit the freighters while one deals witht eh fighters." sk8 proposed. Lonewolf thought about the plan, but then shook his head.Just as he began to speak, Rogue walked in the door, brandishing a huge smile. Sk8 could tell he wanted something, but what was the question.   ----------------------- EFL/1LT Michael "sk8guy" Rose/Aegis 5/mSSD Artus/DEF/VEN/VE      (=A=)(=MA=)(=FOCE=)(=JCPA=)(=SCPA=)(=UCPA=)[-BRC-][-CoB-][-VC|E-][-VC|G-][-LoM-] DJK sk8guy/Eagle1-7/VEDJ/m/SSD Atrus      "Unleash the power of the Dragon!" - Michael "sk8guy" Rose

Rogue approached LW's office at a pretty fast pace. He had been scheming the entire walk here so he must of had a grin on his face that would catch people's eyes. Upon reaching LW's office, Rogu headed voices inside, Sk8 and LW were talking about hitting a Rebel convoy.  He heard Sk8 mention something about having blockade runners engaging freighters. Since the door was open, Rogue walked right in and Sk8 started laughing. It must be the look on my face, Rogue thought. "LW, I was walking by and heard you two talking and thought I might propose a few ideas to help out in this raid."  LW gave him permission to talk and told Sk8 to stay, listen and critque Rogue's ideas. "First, sir, sk8 mentioned having the corvette's help engage the freighters while our fighters engage the fighters. So what about the Carrack cruiser you mentioned? Whose is going to have to deal with it? Why couldn't the Gunship and the Frigate engage the Carrack, or at least one of the two engage the cruiser if you wanted to leave the other to escort the carrier." LW listened to the idea and appeared to be thinking about it so Rogue kept talking. "My second idea is about the commander of the gunship Wolf. If you agree with my other idea, I feel that the captain of the wolf won't agree with you and not get the job done. His XO, I think could get the job done, but he is too junior to command a starship. So I was thinking, since your the fleet commander, you could relieve the captain of the Wolf and someone could be put into his job. Some one that you could rely on." LW answered that idea with a question of his own, "And who would that person be that we could put in command? You were thinking you weren't you?" Rogue answered honestly, "Yes, sir, I was. I did acquire some experience on the gunships while I was still a member of the Rebels. I always liked those ships and thus I did a tour of duty as a gunnery officer on one. It was after that tour that I left the Rebels because they wanted to put me  in a desk job." "So what do you think LW?" Rogue asked then. "Lemme think about it and get back to you," was the answer Rogue got. Rogue then figured he was dismissed so he headed off to find either some weapon to practice with or something to fix or improve on one if his fighters.

Sk8 listened as Rogue explained his suggestions. He was intent until he heard Rogue's second idea; he almost broke out into a laughing frenzy, but held it back, only letting a smile cross his face. Sk8 only stood there, hearing the two men in the room converse until Rogue left the room. Sk8 walked after him toward the door, only to stop before it and shut it. "Man, was he serious? Lonewolf, we need Rogue in his fighter. He is no good to Aegis in a Gunship." sk8 protested to his commander. Lonewolf seemed to take in the arguement, but only resumed to perfect the srategy. "I agree with Rogue." he suddenly said. Sk8 immediately shouted his astonished protest, "WHAT!". "I mean about the Carrack. I think it would be wise to have the Eagle and the Golem(ESC) attack the Carrack while the corvette's and gunships hit the freigthers. I still would like to divide the squadron up though. " Lonewolf deduced, runnings his hands through his shaggy hair. Sk8 thought on the matter, pouring himself some more Mountain Dew® from the Keg. "Well, let me propose a question. If we came into teh system with full force, every ship we have, what would keep the supply convoy there? Just about every ship they have can out run ours, except the fighters." "I see your point." Lonewolf said as he too poured himself another cup of Mountain Dew®. "Plus we're supposed to be in the guise of pirates. How many pirates do you know in the galaxy that have 5 capital ships, let alone ones as big as a frigate or escort carrier?" sk8 said  before he chugged his dew. Lonewolf seemed to take in the question as he shrugged his answer and then began to reset the tactical screen before the two officers. The screen flickered, then reappeared, this time their forces only contained teh two corvettes, and the fighters. "Better?" Lonewolf chided as he sat down to redo their strategy. Teh only thing on sk8's face was a giant smile, and a small  trickle of Mountain Dew® running down his chin.   ----------------------- EFL/1LT Michael "sk8guy" Rose/Aegis 5/mSSD Artus/DEF/VEN/VE      (=A=)(=MA=)(=FOCE=)(=JCPA=)(=SCPA=)(=UCPA=)[-BRC-][-CoB-][-VC|E-][-VC|G-][-LoM-] DJK sk8guy/Eagle1-7/VEDJ/m/SSD Atrus      "Unleash the power of the Dragon!" - Michael "sk8guy" Rose

LoneWolf swung back in his chair carefully considering the idea. Sk8guy and Rouge both had points. LoneWolf shut his eyes in his latest decision to cut back two ships. "On second though..." LoneWolf hit a few more switches altering the scenerio. "We'll only be taking the one corellian block runner, and the corellian gunship." Sk8guy looked at him more curiously now. "Why?" LoneWolf got up and pointed to the map as it played out the plan. "Simply because it will be more suspicious with two ships the same class. Pirates will buy whatever they can but only a few pirate lords would be as picky. In this case it will merely appear that we have an interest in Corellian Design." As far as LoneWolf could tell Sk8guy was beggining to see his point, though the attack force would be weakened it was begining to make sense. "I'm also assigning the renemants of flight three, and the Wolf fighter coverage. This needs to be a hit and fade, I want what little remains of our numbers to work as efficiently as they can." A clear sense of worry showed through LoneWolf as he pointed out Aegis Squadrons dwindling numbers. Liquid had left the navy, leavign flight dangerously vacant. Sk8guy still had PJ with him however LoneWolf noticed a decline in PJ's hours on the simulators. LoneWolf himself was bond by a noob which he wasn't sure would even survive the forth coming battle. Aegis, in a weak sense, was dying. The very thought saddened LoneWolf's heart to think he could be the cause of such a tramatic course. He quickly dismissed the thought and came back to his planing. "I will be giving Rouge the ability to command the ship, however only through the cockpit of his fighter. That He'll learn the hard way to multi task." Both LoneWolf and Sk8guy couldn't help but grin. Despite Sk8guy's obvious worries about Rouge taking the ship, he had to express some curiosity from LoneWolf's compromise. "Besides I plan to hit that Carrack fast enough that Rouge won't have to worry too much about all that." LoneWolf sat back down in his seat and began to consider ending the meeting for some rest. Sk8guy began to close his folder too, taking one last glance at their plan. LoneWolf answered the stare at the hologram with a loud voice, "We attack in tomarrow's early hours so it's best we get some rest. I'll send the orders out to everyone else on the comnet." He then peeked down to his data pad with what he had. Mission Objectives: -Flights 1 and 2 attack carrack with heavy rocket payload. -Flight 3 will provide fighter coverage along with The Wolf Secondary objectives: -Identfy exact contents of Carrack's weaponry load -destroy all opposing fighters So far the plan seemed good.   ----------------------- EFL/ESN Lonewolf/Aegis 2-1/mSSD Atrus/DEF/VEN/VE/(=A=)(=SA=)(=JCPA=)(=SCPA=)[SRC][VC:Ebony] CM/DJK LoneWolf/Sith/Eagle Sect/VEDJ Army character: Ares "It's a big universe, if you keep you mind to what you are simply told then your restraining yourself from finding what could very well be out there."

OOC: What about the freighters? This is a convoy, not just a Carrack Sk8 brought up the question of the freighters to Lonewolf as he shut the holo down and began to vacate the room. Lonewolf turned and faced sk8, "The Eagle will handle teh freighters until one of the fighter groups can get their objectives done." He quickly turned his datapad back on and edited his post on the Comnet: Mission Objectives: - Flights 1 and 2 attack carrack with heavy rocket payload. - Flight 3 will provide fighter coverage along with The Wolf - Corvette Maruader will hit the freighters; fighters help out whenever possible Secondary objectives: - Inspect the freighters to see what cargo they are holding - Identfy exact contents of Carrack's weaponry load - destroy all opposing fighters His datapad then flickered off and Lonewolf trotted off down the hall to his quarters. Sk8 stood in the dark room, a grin slapped on his face. He could hardly sleep with the upcoming mission on his mind. So began his restless walk through the hallways of the Eagle.

Rogue was on his way to his quarters from doing some last minute errands including a run to the Golern, when he encountered Sk8guy roaming the Eagle's corridors. Sk8guy informed him of LW decision about the gunship idea  and the extra ship idea.  Rogue took the information sk8 transmitted to his datapad and went to his quarters to study the plans. After getting himself a drink, Rogue settled in to review the mission plans and objectives. He went through the entire mission then began to go through it again making notes on a pad for changes that could be made.  The gunship, Wolf, that he had asked for command of was assigned to help his flight of fighters kill enemy fighters. That would help since his flight consisted of him and Rusty. He noted that the Eagle and the Corvette Marauder were assigned to scan and destroy the freighters. But if the attack force came out of hyper too far away, the Marauder would be on its own to chase down the frieghters since the Eagle had a speed similar to the frieghters. He would have to watch for any fleeing freighters and have the Wolf chase them, since the Wolf would be and should remain the fast ship in the target area other than a fighter. Finishing his drink and getting another and something to eat, he kept studying. Not being able to find anything else except for maybe having the Eagle get more involved in the fight, he finished off his second drink and his food, he took a sleeping pill then climbed into his bunk to try and sleep. He hoped the moving of his SA-43 to the Golern and his bring his modified Deathseed onboard as his second fighter would pay off. At the least the Deathseed and the Cloakshape were replaceable easy enough. The SA-43 Hammerhead wasn't.

A dizzy feeling of floating was supressed through the straps LoneWolf had pulled down on himself. He opened his eyes to see the red-orangish planet in front of him. The computer offered the same report he read earlier: "Ready". He streteched his arms out in front of him as far as they could go. He activated the targeting system to combat mode and warmed up his engines. As he predicted the convoy suddenly errupted from hyperspace. The V-4 suddenly roared to life with a burst from it's engines. they had a tremendous gap to close, as planned everyone engaged their blind jump quickly. The rag tag fleet of imperials suddenly appeared right behind thier targets. "Ok Let's keep the chatter down and smear the enemies!" LoneWolf dropped his shields wanting to feel the speed. "I'll rush first, you fallow through Sk8!" The alien fighter danced in a diving attack to thier target. burst of lasers tried and failed; LoneWolf didn't try. The V-4 Lighting III mad a dazzaling pass on the ship. a couple of explosions of heavy rockets flexed the hull despite the shiled reinforcment. LoneWolf used his sheer speed to deliver the slow moving rockets to their destination, using his timing to release the payload at the right time. The cruiser dropped down to 142 on shields. LoneWolf almost forgot what he was doing after amazingly looking at his destruction. To his demise one of the gunners noticed he was distracted and hit his failing shields to 37%. The V-4 used the banging moment the turbolaser fed to twirl around in a dive around. That seemed to be all that he could do. Sk8guy made another effective pass to the now panicing Carrack. The old imperial made ship took a steep dive to the planet's atmosphere. "Sk8 we have to destroy that ship before it gets to the planet. It's making a confident move, the Rebels must have an airspeeder force down there for support." "What about it's contents?" LoneWolf looked on his computer and found he got a 36% scan. "If we don't disintigrate it we can scan the ruble while it's IN space." "Let's get this sucker down!" Sk8guy commenced another attack and LoneWolf studied the situation. "Rouge hows it going?" "I wont say it's the best!" LoneWolf pulled the throttle to full so he could make another effective swing. "I'll take one more pass and set back to give you a hand that corvette may not be too well designed for fighters." Rouge held no objection seeing that the Wolf already suffered more damage than him. "No!" "What?" LoneWolf howled. "Give me more time to give these rebels something to worry about!" "If it begins to look too bad I'll have to intervine. Keep up the good work!" LoneWolf's vision shifted direly on the Carrack that appeard to be nail driving straight down. LoneWolf kept his trigger finger instinctivly firing with the laser cannon. Turbolaser fire increased dramatically almost creating a wall. LoneWolf moved his finger to release the second and last fire but all his senses snaped to him to move his course. He narrowly dodged a shot that began to burn his paint job. consequently he passed to far. "Stang! I gotta make another pass." LoneWolf twirled around in time to see his friend take his turn. hopefully he decoyed the turrents long enough.

Rogue triggered his launchers and a pair of concussion missiles raced out catching the jinking X-wing from above. He was down to 4 concusssion missiles and  7 proton torpedoes for his launchers. . He rolled hard to avoid the wreckage of the X-wing and began looking for another target. The Gunship Wolf was holding its own for the moment. Rogue spotted another X-wing going for a run on the Wolf and cut his turn even tighter, the G-suit he was wearing swelling with air to keep the blood in his upper body. Once the raiders had appeared, half the X-wings immeadiately had turned to engage Rogue, Rusty and the Wolf, which had lead the attack.  As they began to mix it up, LW led the rest on by to get the Carrack before it could get away. The Corvette Marauder had hypered close in to the freighters and were engaging them, shooting to disable their engines, shields and weapons if any.  None of the X-wings were racing to protect the freighters either since they were either engaged in the attack on the wolf, or the defense of their Carrack command ship. Rogue unceremoniously gunned the X-wing into space slag using his turreted pulse laser, mounted underneath him on the SA-43 "Hammerhead" that he was flying.  A third X-wing tried to cut in to get Rogue but caught a blast from one of the Wolf's Quad Lasers. Rogue hadn't planned on flying his SA-43 but his Deathseed became a deck casualty when he went to prep it for the mission. He could have flown his Cloakshape but since LW was flying his V-4, Rogue decided to fly his Hammerhead. They had killed almost all of the first X-wings to engage them but then the rest came to help as the Carrack dove for the nearby planet. The oncoming X-wings managed to get off a pair of torpedoes each, all targeted on the Wolf. Rogue and Rusty each got one pair while the Wolf managed to shoot down two more pairs using its quad lasers and turbolasers, but two pair got through. The first two took out a good sized portion of the Wolf's shields, and then the second pair hit just aft of the Wolf's mid-section, knocking out two turbolasers and a Quad laser to start, along with starting a fire aboard and opening up those three sections to space. The Wolf staggered from the hits jsut as LW called Rogue. Rogue quickly had a conversation with him as he closed on an X-wing and began spraying laser pulses all over the X-wing's stern shields. He clung to the X's tail, relentless gunning it. He was very very angry for the damage done to the Wolf. The X-wing exploded in violently as Rogue's lasers found the R2, the hyperdrive motivator and the starboard upper engine. Rusty had managaed to kill another X-wing and that meant they only had 4 X-wings left to go. They had to hold them long enough for the Wolf to get clear and for LW and Sk8's flights to kill the Carrack. The Marauder had managed to knock out two of the freighters when the Eagle arrived from the edge of the system. It managed to cut off the escape of two of the frieghters which left two for the fighters to chase down. And those two were getting quite a lead going.

OOC: Sorry im late. Rustichituk had his Toscan, Rage, put in the bay after he had heard what was going on. The wookie was glad that they finally had a mission, for it was getting quite dull around and Aegis seemed to be slaking  off and this may bring the Squadron back to its prestigious point of Elite. The wookie was glad that he could use his own ship, which had no markings on it in the first place. Rogue had informed him that their orders were to protect The Wolf. This may be difficult for Flight 3 only had 2 fighters, but that would prove no obstical to the wookie or the flight for that matter. It was time…Rusty hopped into Rage and blasted out of the bay and flew up next to Rogue who was hugging the Wolf. Rusty had blind-sighted one of the X-wings and disintegrated it with the laser pulses from his Toscan. There were only four of them left. They regrouped themselves in attack position to fire upon Rogue and Rustichituk.  Rusty had peeled off of Rogue and the Wolf as to create a diversion for Rogue…3 of them followed leaving 1 for Rogue to handle. This was a problem for the wookie who had just screwed himself. His frantic evasive manuevers were keeping the blasts from hitting his hull, but he couldn’t shake them…The Wolf managed to help Rogue as they blasted the X-wing to pieces easily…Rogue was catching up with Rusty at the moment in an effort to help his flight member. Rusty “Damn it! Rogue I could use some help!” Rogue “Im comin’, just hold them off for a bit longer!” Then the X-wing hit the wookie’s ship…that was just an invitation to death, for this pawing at a wookie was enough to enrage him, but it was a whole nother story to blast and hit his starfighter. Rusty “Nevermind, Rogue, these little bastards are mine!” The Wookie was determined now, they messed with the wrong wookie today!

Rogue was at full throttle trying to catch at least one of the X-wings on Rusty’s tail. Rusty must have had his ship at full throttle to keep the X-wings at bay since Rogue Hammerhead as faster than his Toscan, but Rogue was only closing on him so slowly. He had to get the attention of at least one of them, Rogue thought to himself. Flipping his weapon selector switch to missiles, he quickly locked on to the trailing bandit X-wing. Then he fired a proton torpedo, waited five seconds the launched a pair of concussion missiles, A-wing slash-missile style! The X-wing saw the proton torpedo coming and was waiting till it got close to evade since the torpedoes couldn’t maneuver as well as a star fighter. Then just as he went into evasive maneuvers, up comes the missiles. Both missiles caught the X-wing in the S-Foils, one per side. The X-wing vanishes in a fireball, into which the proton torpedo flew and detonated, causing an even bigger explosion. After Rogue got rid of one X-wing, Rusty played his hand. He used one of the oldest tricks in the book. Rogue watched as Rusty went from full throttle to no throttle. It was like his Toscan dropped anchor or something. The two X-wings raced by, not expecting such an old trick and Rusty gave them what they deserved, a nice long burst from all his weapons. That took care of the enemy fighters, Rogue noticed. So he sent the Wolf after those two freighters that had slipped by the Eagle. Quickly coming Rusty, Rogue told him “Rusty, follow me. We can’t let those two fleeing freighters get out of here other wise we’re in real trouble. The Wolf is already moving to capture them, but we need a fighter to catch them and delay them til the Wolf and the Marauder get in range. And you and me have been elected since one and two flights are finishing off the Carrack.” Rusty commed back his acknowledgement and both fighters lit out at full power, racing by the gunship Wolf which was going as fast as its damage would allow.  “Rusty, you take one on the left, I’ll take the other, targets are engines first, then weapons and shields. Use missiles if you have them and shoot from max range. If they go evasive, that’s good still cause, it means they can’t make the rest of the run to light speed.  Rogue locked on the right freighter as the range scrolled down. They were passing the Eagle now, still running at full throttle. Current Range was 10 klicks, decreasing rapidly. Missile range was inside 3 klicks, with 2-2.5 klicks being the optimum firing range. The range numbers kept scrolling down. Rogue just hoped they would be in range in time.

Sk8 raced across the hull of the carrakc causing tiny explosions with his lasers. The newly assigned chipmunk was on his wing, following him closely trying to keep up with his exprienced flight leader. Sk8 smiled as the raw pilot jerked as he fired at the hull; he was good, but a little too unsure of his abilities. Of course he didn't have an attunement to the Force like sk8 either, but sk8 had seen some pilots who weren't able to sense the Force twice as good as him. One example that popped into his head was the famous Rebel Wedge Antilles. Sk8 dropped those thoughts and focused on the moment. His Starviper came within 3 meters of the hull and sk8 pulled up, he only hoped that chipmunk hadn't tried to get as close. After he cleared the hull and raced away from the deadly ship he realized the the young pilot hadn't, which was a good thing. Soon after he finished his run, sk8 saw Lonewolf raking laser fire across the hull in much the same way. His commander's wingman were far back, not trying their skills or luck with the same manuevers. Sk8 smiled as he realized how many young, new pilots Aegis had suddenly acquired. Sk8 has seen pilots come and go to Aegis, most of which moved on to command positions, but this was his place; this is what he loved, flying amidst the battle. "Ready for another run Chipmunk?" sk8 commed over to his wingman. A very shaky reply came back with an affirmative. Sk8 rolled his TIE around on the starboard and flipped, lining up for a devastating blow. His targets were the vital systems right below the bridge. He concentrated and focused his thoughts on that one point. Slowly he let laser fire arc out toward the weak point in his mind, and was rewarded with a series of firey explosions across the ship. The carrack, however, wasn't dead yet, merely faltering in its steps.  sk8 saw chipmunk's green laser fire arc past his , scoring hits on random points along the hull.  As he watched the rookie pilot's laser fire, he saw that it struck a turbolaser and a big fireball erupted from the side of the ship. Right after the explosion, the huge ship started to turn, attempting to align for a hyperspace jump. Aegis wouldn't let that happen. Loewolf was doing his run now, focusing on anotehr weak point just above the engines. The ship was once again rocked with explosions and fireballs as bulkheads collapsed with each hit. Debris filled the area around the carrack hull breaches riddled the hull and sk8 guessed it wouldn't survive a jump even if they could make it. Right on cue, escape pods began to pour our of teh doomed ship. Hundreds of the tiny  the little crafts filled the battlefield. Sk8 ignored them and focused on destroying the capital ship of the enemy. Just as he began his next pass, the ship broke off into two enormous pieces, ripped apart by the tearing vacumm eating away it's insides. The two halves drifted apart and sk8 was statisified now. "Nice job six, now it's time to pick off the scraps. Engage those freighters."

Rogue watched the range scroll down to missile range as the fighters of him and Rusty raced after the fleeing freighters, over taking them slowly. They were almost in range since both of the freighters were old Gallofree Medium Transports, both probably veterans of the Rebellion era. Rogue double checked to make sure he had torpedoes selected paired-fire. The targeting reticule finally went solid red with a confirmed missile lock as a growl filled the ears of Rogue’s helmet. He quickly massed the launch button on his flight stick.  A single concussion missile raced out at the freighter, quickly overtaking it, ending this stern chase. The missile punched right through the freighter shields and into the engine section, detonating in a decent explosion. Rogue closed in on the now coasting freighter and began destroying it weapons mounts and shield generators with his lasers. By the time he was done, the freighter was unarmed, shield less and drifting without engines. Quickly, Rogue commed the FRG Eagle to dispatch an assault Transport to capture the freighter. Then he moved in very close to scan its contents. The scan results came back quickly. The freighter was carrying a military cargo from the results. It had a mixed load of proton torpedoes and concussion missiles aboard, in addition to a large amount of general military supplies aboard like field rations and the like. Aegis could use these supplies to continue it missions. Then Rusty called in a request for an assault Transport to come capture his target. Rogue quickly made sure the Eagle got the call and they responded that two of their assault transports were on the way, but the two fighters had to provide cover for them.  Then Rusty commed Rogue with his target’s cargo load. That Gallofree had a load consisting mostly of speeders, most of the Rebel snowspeeders and their derivatives. It also had the maintenance supplies and such for them aboard. Rogue picked up the two transports finally on his scanners as they came into range. It would take them twice as long as it would take fighter to get out to where Rogue and Rusty were. Rogue just hoped the Rebels didn’t get a message out about the ambush and send a surprise back.

(ooc: *Cough*NOTIEFIGHTERS*Cough*) "Regroup! All ships head back to the fleet." Rouge blurted out, "LoneWolf! We just captured some frieghters. " "They supplies they carry will be picked up. The Eagle can handle herself." LoneWolf replied very friendly, "Fall back and lets head home." In a matter of minutes all the ships were emerging back from hyperspace in front of the Nebula B frigate, and escort carrier. LoneWolf was one who was able to reserve a docking port on the belly of the frigate. "Sir how come we didn't vape the other fighters, and pods" "Because pirates would soon realize that reinforcments would be on their way. obliterated that space force would simply alert the ground forces to call for bigger support. Thus gathering more attention onto our operation. We did our job. Gather in the briefing room we got our next attack to plan." ----- An hour later, after all the pilots used the refresher and got what little sleep they could. All the aegis pilots were in the briefing room. LoneWolf hit the hologram projector bringing up a map of the galaxy, which then narrowed on the Corellian trading spine where they were currently at. "We are here" The map blinked a green dot confirming their location. "We are currently enroute to Corellia. There we will do a raid on a recently repaired strike cruiser in the system. It was badly damaged in a battle and had to be repaired a parsec away from the planets. Our spies have informed us that a crew will be arriving to replace the skeleton crew. What we're about to do is tricky." LoneWolf click a control pad and a battle scenerio popped up. "We will arrive the same time as the replacment crew and whipe out their transports. Once they crews are destroyed we will liberate the strike cruiser in the name of the Empire! When we have possesion we will take the cruiser to Corellia and destroy a munitions depot full of more supplys on teh planet. We can hopefully get some use from those speeders we just got and steal some more supplies. depending on conditions teh cruiser may or may not join our fleet. That is all Ill send a message on the comnet with further details." (Orders, and details: We will ambush the transports with our own fleet when they arrive at the newly repaired cruiser. Once the new crew is killed we will seige the cruiser and storm it with our own teams. Aegis squadron, along with other crewmen will take control of the ship and load it up with the speeders, and a few escape transports. We will then jump to Corellia, bring the cruiser into the atmosphere and bombard a remote supply depot on foot. We will eliminate all immidiate fighter/speeder threats with our stolen ones and raid the depot on foot. You will have to be armed with a blaster if you wish to aid in the melee. -cruiser must survive -all incoming support craft must be destroyed -crew must be subdued by any means ------- -use speeders to destroy fighter opposition on ground depot and obliberate all turrnents. -make several passes on control towers, and barracks. try to avoid hitting supplies. -First objective is to destroy supplies -secondary is to capture them if possible these orders may be updated at any time. may the force be with you.)

Chipmunk Man felt like colapsing. He had had the scare of his life during the attack on the carrack. While following sk8, he had been inches away from being obliterated by turbolaser-fire. He made his way to the lounge, a can of sundrop in his hand. He wished he could buy his own fighter, but just didn't make enough money. He sat thinking about Sarah, his sweethart back home, and hoped he would make her proud in the next mission. Nervous about the melee he had heard mentioned, he shined his new blaster for the 7th time. He pulled out his picture of Sarah, and sat at the bar day-dreaming.

Sk8 sat under his fighter, doing a quick systems chekc of it. The last battle had caused some tiny problems with his computer; he had to replace it before the next encounter. While he was under the sleek starviper, his weapons droids reloaded and cleaned the sleek ship. The board he was working on shot sparks, giving him a shock. Angerily he slide out from under the fighter, circuit board in hand. He would have to roder a new one, which meant he would have to use his Aetherspite fighter in the next battle. he stopped working on the Dragon's Claw and moved on to ready the Aes Sedi. His droids once again loaded the modified Aetherspite with missiles and calibrated his lasers. Sk8 prepped teh systems for flight. Once finished, he ordered the part for his starviper and then proceeded to the lounge. Once he arrived, he found Lonewolf sitting at a table, eating some roasted meat. Sk8 walked over and sat down next to his friend. A serving droid approached and took his order, getting the getting the grilled tuna steak. It produced a beer and went off  to retrieve his meal. Lonewolf tipped his glass to sk8 and the two sat there talking about the future of Aegis. Te pcoming mission would prove no challenge to the veteran's in Aegis, but Lonewolf was worried about the new pilots they had recently aquired. sk8 agreed, bu the matter was silenced once sk8's meal arrived and he was lost to his appetite.

Rogue lay on his backside underneath his SA-43 Hammerhead, going over its bottom double checking for any more laser scoring. The upper side of the wings had taken a few hits from enemy laser fire, so Rogue was checking the whole ship for any damage from them and any more.  Not finding any, he had his R2 unit that was assisting him send for a weapons dolly of torpedoes, missiles, and spare laser cartridges.  A crewman then arrived with the dolly full of Rogue’s reloads. On his Deathseed, Cloakshape, and assigned TIE Avenger, Rogue let the mechanic droids do the post maintainence, but he did it himself on the Hammerhead. He was kinda like Han Solo in letting those droids work on the Millennium Falcon about his Hammerhead.  The only thing that he didn’t do was fuel the fighter. A human crewman did that, and sometimes reloaded the missiles.  He opened up the catches to the ammo bays, and then began loading the spare laser cartridges into the laser ammo bay. Then he climbed onto the wing and began loading the proton torpedoes and concussion missiles into their bays in the wings for the specially designed launchers mounted below the wings. When he was done loading the missiles and had sealed their ammo bays, he slid of the wing careful not to slip and bust his head on the hangar deck. Now his fighter was refueled, rearmed, and ready to go for another mission. His helmet and such were already positioned in the cockpit so all he had to do was put on his flight suit, climb in, hook his suit connections in, slip on his helmet as the ship powered up and he would be ready to fly. All his responsibilities to his fighter done, he headed to the lounge for something to eat. Spotting LW and Sk8 inn one corner, he grabbed a booth like table in an opposite corner that was kinda dark. The serving droid then came over and took his order for seared steak with mushrooms, fried potatoes, a Correllian whiskey, and two colas. The droid returned quickly with the drinks then skittered back to the kitchen for the food. Rogue mixed the whiskey with one of the cola’s and drank it quickly as the droid brought his food. He dug right into the smoking piece of meat and the accompanying potatoes.

Chipmunk Man wished he could send a com message to Sarah, but Aegis was under orders to remain silent when possible. As he sat in the lounge drinking his Sun Drop, he noticed Rogue of in a corner and decided to go yak.   "Man, I almost got fried on that last mission. Err, my first mission."   "That can happen," Rogue replied.   "When do we start the next mission?"   "Dunno," said Rogue.   "Any idea if LW will gimmee some leave to see my sweetheart on Corellia, or should I just not bother asking him?"   "No chance." Rogue didn't seem to want to talk, so Chippy left him alone.

Sk8 awoke to the sound of the claxon blaring. Shaking off his sleepiness, he touched the Force. Then it dawned on him what was happening, the Eagle was under attack. Hurried sk8 pulled on his flightsuit and boots. Within minutes of waking up he was at the hangar powering up his aetherspite. Beside him chipmunk man was powering up his starviper. Sk8 got his ship up and out the hangar. A feirce battle raised around him. He got on the comm to Lonewolf, "Lonewolf, this is sk8. What happened?" "The rebels found us. Apparently we underestimated their intelligence." he replied, as he raced past sk8's fighter. "Wanna give me a hand?" "Sure. Always having to save your tail. Some day you're gonna have to cash in your debts." sk8 jokingly responded as he pulled his trigger and sent a burst of laser blasts towards the rebel X-wing on his friends tail. "Thanks. That's another one I owe you. What is that now, about fifteen?" Lonewolf smiled as those sarcastic words billowed from his mouth. Sk8 smiled as he answered, "Yeah I think that's about right. So what are the offical numbers here?" Lonewolf answered seriously, "Well, we're facing two squadrons of X-wings and a Republic VSD. Not too big of a problem. Our capitals can take the victory. I think the rebels underestimated our forces. We have them outnumbered." Lonewolf broke off the conversation to blast a fighter that was swining around onto sk8's tail. "Oh wait, I believe you owe me 16 now. So I think that should make us about even." "Right. Enough joking, time to get to work. May the Force be with you." sk8 shouted over the comm to Lonewolf. "Chipmunk, on my wing, let's rack up some kills." he shouted to his young wingman as he throttled up and targeted a pair of X-wings.

Chipmunk followed Sk8's lead and chased the 2 x-wings. The pair suddenly split, and Chippy broke to starboard and followed one. He twisted and turned, rocked and rolled, trying to get a lock on the rebel. Suddenly, the rebel tried to double back, but flew directly into Chippy's sights.   "Your mine, sucker!"   Green lasers streaked towards the X-wing, overloading its shields and frying 2 engines. It tried to swerve, but exposed its cockpit in the process. 2 lasers shattered the canopy and blasted the pilot into smithereens.   "Yaaaahooooo!! I got him! Hey Sk8, I got him!"   "Get back on my wing, NOW!" came the angry reply.   "Yes sir! Sorry, sir!"

Sk8 eased his fingers onto the trigger, letting green laser fire lance out. Two of his bolts contacted the white hull of the rebel X-wing, but the other two passed the gleaming hull. An explosion filled the space around the hull as the two scored hits dissapated the shields. Witht he shields down, all sk8 had to do was score a couple good blows and the ship would be doomed. Just as he eased the trigger to pulse out his next burst of fire, his cockpit filled with a green tint. He broke his concentration to look up and see a pait of lasers streak out and hit the X-wing.  He tracked them back to find the source, it was chipmunk's fighter. "Nice going Chippie, but next time, don't steal my kills. I really don't like that, ask Lonewolf what I did to him last time he stole one of my kills." "Thanks sir, and sorry. I couldn't help it, I had an open shot so I took it." chipmunk replied. "It's ok, at least the ship's gone, one less rebel to worry about in the galaxy. I can see you're improvement, good job there." sk8 responed as he scanned his sensors looking for another target. "Well, I have been hitting the simulators an awful lot lately. I guess they're helping." he said back proudly. "I think so too, but right now it's time to take hit that VSD. Switch to missles and form up on my wing, we're going in." sk8 ordered his wingmate as he turned his fighter 180 degrees. They were a few clicks out, but the distance was closing fast. Sk8 saw that chipmunk had complied with his orders and was on his aft-right side. "Lonewolf, I think we should hit that VSd before it escapes. We don't want it going back and informing the Rebel leaders the size of our forces. Don't you agree?" sk8 commed to his commander. "Way ahead of you sk8, already got all ships moving in to surround the VSD and take it down."Lonewolf said sarcastically back to his XO. "Ok, gotcha. Chipmunkand I are mving in to hit it with missiles. Good luck with the fighters." sk8 said as he checked the distance to giant Rebel ship. It was within missile range, so sk8 switched to dual fire and unleashed his payload. He could see that chipmunk had done the same, only he did it with single fire.

A direct attack on a star destroyer?! Was Sk8 insane?! They'ld be vaporized!! Chipmunk though about refusing the order, but decided he'ld rather die bravely than be executed. What would Sarah think if he were court-martialed for cowardice?   Chippy did his best to put that aside. Right now he had to concentrate on not getting fried. He and Sk8 launched their missles, then switched to lasers and began peppering the hull. They were some of the first to attack the SD, so most of its fire was concentrated on them. They started zig-zaging trying to knock-out some of the turbolaserswithout getting plastered in the process. Lasers were everywhere, leaving bright red streaks in Chippy's vision. It was as if he had stared at a neon light for too long.   His thoughts raced. What if he died?Would he become a ghost, free to wander and haunt whoever he wished? Or would he be bound to that spot, stuck there for all eternity? Maybe his spirit would go to some afterlife paradise, or prehaps just cease to exist. And there there was Sarah...   -Sarah? Are you out there? I love you, Sarah...-   "Don't worry, Chippy. If anything happens, I'll let her know," Sk8 said.   Sk8? Chippy didn't think he had said anything out loud. Had he imagined it? No, he had heard it too clear for it to have been imagined. He had been told that Sk8 posessed some sort of power, but Chippy didn't believe in that sort of thing.   Sith spit, he had to concentrate or he'ld get plastered! He was pulling away from the SD, setting up for another run with his lasers.   -KABLOOM-   "Sk8, I've lost flight control! Sk8!"

LoneWolf heard his squadmates cry, however knew better than to aid him. An attack plan on a star destroyer of any sort, had to be perfectly coordinated. LoneWolf had to compromise, "Sk8guy get Chippy outta there!" "I got him!" SK8guy hallored back. LoneWolf was quick to add under his breath, "Hurry before some gunner eyes him as pretty target practice." So far the attack wasn't so bad, the fighters were often the decision of any battle's outcome. As aegis commenced it's attack at the white dagger, the opposing fighters struck their ships. All they needed though was one good strike to send the monster down. LoneWolf pumped the Tie advanced into a dance of multiple dodges. The turbolasers fired, but missed. LoneWolf didn't miss. A duel shot of blue fire struck the shield tower on the right side. He quickly switched to lasers to rattle the antenna setup on the top of the destroyer to at least give them some doubts to their system. "Keep the runs circulating!" LoneWolf pulled up hard as he passed the ship, he went up. After a heavy twirl of the ship, she began to come down to attack like an eagle going at it's prey. LoneWolf kept a constant volly of green blast at the generators atop the bridge. Another hit, more fire and heat burning the shield, another hit, more hell forming on it's bare plating. The orb on the right side soon collasped from the constant harrasment of LoneWolf's lasers, and Aegis Squadron's projectile hits. "Form up! Get ready for another run!" Aegis Leader checked then checked his scopes to see how sk8guy and his wingmate were performing.

Rogue was late launching into the fight. By the time, he had been awakened by the scramble alarm and had managed to make hit to the Eagle’s hangar through the corridors of crewman scrambling to get the frigate to battle stations, his fellow Aegis members had taken a chunk out of the Rebel fighters, and were moving on the VSD.  He was flying his SA-43 Hammerhead since it was ready to fly despite the order to switch ships if the Aegis pilots had flown a unique ship on the previous strike. He lit out for the VSD, since the hammerhead’s heavy load of missiles and torpedoes would hurt that ship the most.  For some reason, the X-wings didn’t really pay attention to him, they seemed more concerned with LW, Chipmunk and Sk8. He reached launch range and began launching torpedoes at the VSD, saving missiles for closer in.  He set his rear turret guns to automatic so he could focus on taking out the VSD’s weapons. He began selecting turbolaser emplacements as well as the shield generator and sent pairs of torpedoes out til he ran out. He followed that with all of his missiles, except for one last pair that were his ace in the hole. By the time he fired all those, he was really close to the VSD’s hull, .2 of a klick to be exact. He began evasive maneuvers to try and get out of their and back to the dogfight with the X-wings

Rogue stood in his cramped quarters aboard the Nebulon B Frigate "Eagle" packing up his gear, preparing to move it all back to the Atrus and his new squadron. Aegis Squadron had been recalled from its mission three days after destroying the NR VSD. Due to damage suffered by the Eagle, it took them a week to get back. They arrived back in VE space with orders to report to the Atrus where they found they had devistating news waiting. Aegis Squadron was being disbanded! That had been two days ago. The Navy had been through significant changes while they were gone. Riel had stepped down as Naval CiC not too long after they left, Japheth had taken over and then stepped down after only about a week and Threeof4 had taken over the reigns of the Navy. His first thing in office was to redo the Navy's arrangment and that had lead to the downfall of Aegis.  The five surviving members were being split up among the other navy squadrons. Rogue, Rusty, and Chipmunk Man had been reassigned to Viper, while Sk8 was assigned to Kaph. Lonewolf had been assigned to be the XO in a new squadron to be built under the command of MegaDeth using Aegis's old T/A's. Rogue finished sealing the second of his two black duffel bags, slung them on his shoulders and took one last look around the room. Seeing nothing of his left in the empty metallic room,he flipped off the lights and walked out. He headed down to the hangar bay where a transport was waiting for him, with Rusty and Chipmunk already aboard.  The three of them had already transfered there personal fighters back aboard the Atrus the day before so all they had was personal gear to clean out.  Rogue couldn't help but remember the last time he had done this when Nazgul was decommissioned. It was getting too easy for him to pack him and move to a new squadron cause the old one got canned. It was like he was cursed or something.

Sk8 grabbed the last thing in his room, the giant Aegis banner he had hangng over hid bed. Tears rolled down his checks, as the last tack fell to the metal floor with a clank. Sk8 crumpled the colorful fabric up in his hands and pulled it to his chest, more tears followed. The only squadron he had been in was gone, disbanded; its members were reassigned to the other various squadrons in the Navy, most went to Viper. All his career sk8 could see the squadron growing greater and greater, until suddenly all his friends were promoted out. He had been one of the founding members and it hurt him to see it disbanded. After a few minutes of pain,  sk8 began to slowly fold up his sacred banner. He made sure to crease all the folds and then he gently put in a box and cared it off to his new room. He still hadn't decided if he was going to hang it in his new quarters, amid Kaph squadron. With one last glimpse, filled with remorse, he turned the lights off and shut the door. Sk8 walked down the quarters, dragging his duffles behind him. All the crew he passed could see the look of defeat and dispair in his eyes; the look of a lonely pilot, losing his squadron and friends. Sk8 made his way slowly into the unfamilar terrority of Kaph squadron. After finding his quarters, he unpacked his possessions and hung the Aegis banner above his door. He decided to swallow his fears and not lose faith in his true squadron. The room was different and seemed smaller than his Aegis room, but it would do. Just as he was about to wander around and meet the other pilots on the squadron, Darkhawk walked in. Surprised to see hid friend, sk8 greeted him with a greeting and a question, "What are you doing here? I thought you'd be off with Admiral Three somewhere?" Darkhawk simply smiled and answered, "Nah, he has decided my advice was useless and has begun to make his decision based on his own thoughts and opinions. So I'm sorry to hear about Aegis, it broke my heart to see what happened. The Lusthawks will survive though, and we'll become stronger from this. Anyway, let's go meet the rest of the pilots." Sk8 smiled back and the two old friends walked off deeper into the Kaph part of the Atrus. Along the way they met the rest of the Kaph pilots. Sk8 instantly felt welcome, but there was still the void left from Aegis.

Chippy was heart broken.  Sk8 had tought him how to kill rebels, and even saved his butt when his fighter was nearly shot down. Now they were sepparated. How could this happen? "I wake up, And tear drops, They fall down like rain." Chippy managed to drag himself to the lounge, and sat sat in the corner drinking Sun Drop like a fish. He thought about the rebel x-wings, the sims, and star destroyer. He remembered nearly getting plastered on the runs against the carrack. He was considerably sugar-high by the time Sk8 and Darkhawk, a Kaph member walked in. Slowly, chippy made his way to their table. "Sk8, you don't have any idea what this has done to me. I was even hoping someday I could take you back to Correlia and introduce you to Sarah. But now it's gone. Everything." Chippy paused, tears pouring down his face. He realised if he didn't leave soon, he'ld make a disgrace of himself. He gave Sk8 a long, sorrowful look, snapped a sulute, and said goodbye to the pilot he admired the most.

OOC: Touching Chipmunk man, very touching. Hopefully we'll be in the same flight again someday. Besides you'll gain valuable exprience under Warmaker's command. Watch and learn he is a very prime example of what a pilot and commander should be.

LoneWolf stood back on the dock of the Atrus. His eyes peiced at the stars which flooded everything in his sight. He held the patch that had been on his flight suit, he tore it off when he found out he had lost his command. The Aegis eblem stared at him back with a stare of sorrow from the "Lusthawk" drawn on it. Had he done something wrong? No, he hadn't conditions had just been placed against him. A small part of the former Aegis leader began to ponder if it was just a grand skem of his "destiny". He could not imagine a navy without the old Lusthawk pride floating around, it had been his family. He fondly recalled his first mission with Darkhawk, and Sk8guy. Those days would now remain hidden in his past forever. LoneWolf locked an iron faced stare at the patch, "This isn't the last time, it wont be the end of Aegis. However I won't have the name be used until we find a suit of pilots who are more than just a 'Lusthawk' in spirit." LoneWolf put the patch in a pouch on his belt then continued his placid stare at the stars. He turned around and got inside his custom VF-4 figther. He warmed up the systems however didn't ask for flight clearance. The Lusthawk brought out his ship's transponder system file. LoneWolf erased his previous name, The Nova Wolf, he stared at the screen then back to the stars and re entered a new name, Immortal Aegis. He found whatever satisfaction in the name then shut down his systems. It was the best thing he could do to remind him that he would always be an Aegis member. LoneWolf continued his blank stare at the stars, simply sitting at the base of his fighter. He hardly noticed the military foot steps approaching. He turned his head to see MegaDeth standing at him. LoneWolf got up and gave him a weak salute, "What is it MD?" "I've come to inform you of your new position Ensign." LoneWolf didn't appreciate the tone of his rank being used by someone of his own. "Well?" MegaDeth simply looked at him with curiosity then reported firmly as to show there was no mistake. "It appears that me, and your now fly on the same squadron." LoneWolf sighed, begining to think he had been placed in Viper. "Our orders are to start a new squadron with a bunch of rookies. You up to being my XO LoneWolf?" He could hardly believe what he heard, at the time he thought the NHC had disbanded the squad because of him, and he would be disbaned completely. He stared hard at the other man, and looked at the documents he was holding out to him. After a skim he looked back up with a straitened posture. "Ready to begin when you are. For the good of the Navy, and the Vast Empire!" He looked at the hand extended at him. LoneWolf gave a firm handshake and Megadeth added on, "Always for the Vast Empire." The two walked out of the hanger bay with visions of new missions with thier new squadron.
