(OOC: Ok lets make this mission last a little longer than mission 2.) Art jumped with a start as his alarm ran at 07:00.  He was still lying dressed on his bed. "Dammit."  he said sleepily as he slowly pulled himself up and headed for the door.  He wanted to get an early start for the next mission but couldnt see that happening now. He entered the turbolift at the end of the hall and descended to the food area.  As he stood in the lift he quickly checked his messages.  There was one from Admiral Riel Fury about a new member to his squad and a couple thank you messages from the women he had brought on board.  Other than that everything was same as always. AS the lift opened he quickly hurried into line and bought his coffee and typical morning breakfast.  The squad was sitting in the corner and he quickly made his way over and sat down. "Hey guys, sorry Im the last one here."  Art said as he flopped into one of the comfortabel chairs and opened his coffee.  "I think we will commence in about two hours, I have to meet with the Wing Commander first thing and then we can run the sim."  Art continued as he took a sip and squirmed as the hot coffee burned his mouth.  "Dammit."  He muttered as he took a bit of his pastry. "Have any of you met the new squad member?"  He asked as he took another bite. "No but I assume we will shortly."  Replied Emon as he finished his coffee.  The squad finished up thier breakfast and prepared the start today. Suddenly a voice came up from behind Arturus. "Ensign Arturus?"  The young man asked as Art wheeled around. "Damn man you startled me."  Art replied.  "Are you that new member of our squad?"  He asked. "Yes sir, Leading Crewman Tim2w reporting sir."  The man replied as he snapped to attention.  The rest of the squad chuckled. "Shut it guys."  Art barked as he turned back to Tim2w.  "Dont mind them, here we have a very relaxed atmosphere, not used to the attention and sir stuff.  Have a seat I will buy you breakfast."  Art continued as he gestured towards one of the empty chairs. "Thank you sir..erm-"  Tim2w replied. "Its Art or boss."  Art replied as he got up to buy his new pilot breakfast.  The day was starting out good after all.

(OOC: Need a ruling from Riel on Tim2w's post.  Sorry but it does not quite follow the way these are done but i would like to see if Riel wil give credit for it anyhow.) (OOC: We cant wait any longer.  unfortunately I must say disregard Tim2ws post and continue on mine.  Tim2w I need to talk to you about a few things regarding stories for the ESC.  I am sorry but we have to follow strict guidelines.  This would be the 5th post by Kaph that is voided.  unfortunately it had to be your first but I cant do anything about it.  I will post the full mission in a bit.) Art quickly brought Tim2w his breakfast and raced off to the Wing Commander.  He needed to discuss some of the procedure he needed to know. "Be ready for the mission at 10:00"  He shouted as he raced out of the lounge and to the turbolift.  He hurried in and in a few seconds was racing out and down the hall towards Warmaker's office.  He managed to arrive with about 5 seconds to spare.  "Damn I need to get back in better shape he muttered under his breath as he went in. =========================================== 90 minutes and three bottles of Corellian Ale later Art left Warmaker and raced as steadily as he could to the squad training area.  Overnight the sims and been reconfigured for Missile Boats.  Art was concerned about this missiona s very few of his pilots had more than the 8 hours training required for a Missile Boat.  Some hadnt even had that. Art was very familiar with the Missile Boat as it used to be one of the biggest sellers for his smuggling group.  He had flown many of them and loved the slam drives they contained.  As the turbolift lowered to his squad's floor he felt the affects of the ale go to his head. "Damn how does Warmaker drink more than me and fell nothing."  He pondered as he clenched his stomache which had been upset by the fast stop.  "Maybe he is used to it, Viper squad does have the drunkest pilots in the navy."  He continued to mutter to himself as he left the lift and almost fell. He quickly managed to stagger his way into the briefing room and saw that Otto and Corran had already arrived. "Hey guys."  Art said as he hurried for the water cooler.  He needed to neutralize the affects of the ale quickly.  "Otto you want to give the brief today?"  Art asked ashe quickly downed the bottle of water in his hand and reached for another one. "Sure boss."  Otto replied as he walked over and grabbed the datapad from Art.  "This is going to be a hard one, have you had anymore than the training hours in a Missile Boat Art?"  He asked as he walked to the projector. "Yes but trust me, you dont want to know."  Art chuckled as he walked to the comfortable command chair that he always had wanted to sit in.  This was going to be a good day afterall.

Emon got into his simulator, and looked around. He had never flown a missle boat before. This mission was going to be a bit of a challenge. Emon studied the controls for a bit longer, and then the simulation began. "Ok Pilots, here we go."said Art as the farmiliar space scene appeared on the flight sim window. Emon immdediatly saw the frigiate, and the A-wings that were all around it. "Ok fligh2. You all see the flight to the west? Good. Target them. We can attack from a distance now that we are going to be using these missle boats. Use the advanced missles on the fighters, and save the heavy rockets for the Cruiser."said Denthor Emon loaded his advanced missles, and got one of the A-wings on target. He waited about 10 seconds for the his targeting system to lock onto the fighter, and then switched his firing system to dual fire. Then he let two missles rip. Once they hit the A-wing, its shields where almost gone, and it had done a bit of damage to the hull as well. Emon shot off two more missles, and watched the fireworks. "I'm begining to like these missle boats more and more every minute"said Emon smiling He watched as Denthor finished off his target, and thought that it may not be as hard as everyone said that it would be. Then, the A-wings realized what was going on. Two squadrons went into their attack paterns, and where going straight for Kaph squadron. "Here they come guys! Watch yourselves."said Art Emon got ready for the attack, and realized now that it may be kind of hard fighting A-wings with missles while they are on the attack. Emon decided then, that it would be best not to let them. He was going to try and make sure that they would stay on the defensive end, no matter what. He targeted the first A-wing he could see, got a lock on him, and sent 4 advanced missles at him. It damaged him pretty bad, but he was still alive. Emon set his firing mode to single, so that he wouldn't waste an extra missle, and finished the A-wing off.

Emon was begining to get the hang of how to use his missle boat. He was almost able to not bother to wait to lock on the target, and be able to hit him. All of a sudden, he saw two A-wings that apperead to be targeting him. In that instant, he tried to roll with his missle boat, and quickly realized that it was not as easy as it was with a normal TIE. "Don't try to get to fancy Emon."said Art "I know what I'm doing. I've done this once or twice...only not in a missle boat"said Emon as he was attempting to keep rolling to avoid the A-wings. He then saw the A-wing fly past him, and knew that it would be coming around the same way again, and got ready to fire a dual shot as soon as it flew by. Emon saw the tip of the A-wing, and let loose his shot. His timing was perfect. Then, almost right after his shot hit the A-wing, Corran was able to get the finishing blow to him. "Nice shot Corran"said Emon "No problem. Don't get excited, the battle isn't over yet."said Corran He decided that he was going to kill the other A-wing that was going for him. Only this time, he was able to get a lock on the A-wing, and fired four missles at him, and finished him off nice and easy. Emon was beginning to like this missle boat, and maby he might want to work with these in the future. At that moment, Emon saw that a flight of A-wings was going towards the frigate. "Hey guys, I'm not sure what they think there doing, but a flight of A-wings is getting a little to close to the frigiate. Maby we should attack."said Emon "Emon's right. But ONLY attack if you have a lock on a fighter. We don't want the frigate to take any hits."said Corran Emon targeted one of the A-wings, and flew in with the rest of flight 2. Once they were close enough, Emon began to lock onto his target, and once he had his lock, he let loose four missles, and then watched the fireworks.

Face raced towards the frigate alongside Denethor to intercept the flight of A-wings making a run at it. He grinned as Emon's missiles slammed into one of the helpless Rebel's "I'll target the leader, you take his wingman" said Denethor over the comm. As soon as Face had a solid lock he let loose a pair of missiles that streaked in at the figher a split second before Denethor's. The leader had no time to react at only 1.5 kliks out and he was going at full throttle, the missiles went straight through the fighter so quickly they did not detonate in time and left an A-wing with two holes through it and left it disabled, they blew behind the fighter causing more damage and they distracted he's wingman who veered away into Face's missiles, this pilot died instantly as he's fighter exploded. "Wow you dont see that everyday" said Face "nice shooting Face, engage the other's before they make strafing runs on the frigate" replied Denethor. As flight 1 engaged the interdictor and it's escort's Denethor, Face & Emon of flight 2 mopped up the rest of the aggresors of the frigate, using missiles on most but having to use lasers on some. Flight 2 destroyed the rest of the A-wing's but had taken some time doing so due to the fact that the missile boat only has one laser, one of it's major weaknesses. Face had had alot of experience in a missile boat when he had the honour of flying in one of Thrawn's fighter squadrons back in the day. "Right then Kaph lets take this interdictor out quickly, we need to get that frigate out of here" Art shouted over the comm. Denethor, Face & Emon engaged there slam drives and sped toward's the interdictor.

FM/PO2 Face/Kaph 2-2/ISD II Nemesis/VE/VEN/(=A=)(=SA=)

The squad reformed and this time 2 and 3 flt made rocket runs while 1flt diverted the Mon Cal cruiser.  It had worked once before and Art was counting that it would take a while before the rebels would clue into Kaph's plan. Art began to jink rapidly as he drew fire from the other fighters onto him.  The firepower intensified as Art closed into rocket range on the Mon Cal.  Beside him, Corran and Whos Ya Daddy were struggling to evade all of the fire and were taking some grazings from the powerfull turbo lasers. "Watch it guys."  Art said as he swerved to avoid rapid fire coming from the turbolaser that was getting much larger in his view.  "When we get close enough, break off and prepare to fire unlocked missiles at the bridge of the Mon Cal.  By that time the turbo lasers will not be able to aqequate track us because we will be too close."  Art stated as he reached the target point and pulled up towards the bridge.  He switched over to linked advanced missiles, visually judged the target, and fired off 8 pairs of missiles before diving, rolling, and ignoted his slam drives bringing him clear from the Mon Cal.  The other two 1 flt members began their runs but pulled up suddenly when the bridge exploded from the 16 missiles Art had fired at it. "Nice one Art."  Corran said as he ignited his slams and flew clear.  "The Mon Cal is doomed, that kill is yours."  He continued as one flight formed up and prepared to make their own bombing run at the Interdictor.  Now that the Mon Cal was gone flights could individually make runs whenever they were formed up together.

The smile on Emon's face was quickly washed away as he saw the X-wings coming right for him. "Ok Kaph.said Art Target them individualy. You should all have plenty of missles left." Emon loaded his advanced missles, and targted the X-wing that was the closest to him. He was waiting for the go ahead to fire on them, when he saw two shots go past his cockpit. He let four missles loose, and then took evasive action, which was commanded by Art. He then saw that the X-wing he had targeted had then been destroyed. "There's one less X-wing for us to take out."said Emon, but knew that getting rid of the entire four squadrons was going to be a bit tougher than he thought when they first came out of hyperspace. Then Emon saw that two X-wings were coming up on his tail from the south. "Hey! I need help! I got two X-wings behind me!"yelled Emon as he was trying to get those blasted X-wings off his tail. At that moment, he heard the sound of four missles crashing into a craft behind and smiled. He knew that Kaph would come in for him. About one minute later, after a lot of heavy dodging and weaving, he heard four more missles crash into a craft, and another explosion. The two X-wings that were on his tail were gone. "Nice job guys."said Emon "No problem buddy."said Denthor as Emon was getting ready to target the next bunch of X-wings. Emon got his next X-wing, and got a lock and let loose four missles to and saw them crash into the X-wing and turn it into space dust. He knew that the mission was far from over, and it would take a big boost of strength to maintain the success in this mission.
