See the problem is that the only stormtroopers who actually connected with their targets (Falcon in Mos Eisley in ANH, various Ewoks and Leia in RotJ) were the ground based stormtroopers.
Apparently, once you get assigned to a naval ship or space station your training just fades away.

The navy ships even the death star all get blown up thats cuz most of the pilots suck but thats just my opinion

I agree with Shadow on that one, I have seen Stormtroopers around here having swords and they seem to dice and slice a lot better then shooting and missing. -----------------------
