Your all missing the whole point!!!! The VE with an ESSD is prob the most stupid idea i have ever heard. For starters where did we get the funds to build it, for seconds, where do we get the several thousand to crew it, third do you really think the New Republic is going to let u run around with one, fourth it took approx 10 years to build the Eclipse (the the second one), lastly where did you get the plans, they were not in the Emperor's Arcives cause the New Republic would have found them and locked them, the originals were built by KDY at Byss and that planet was destroyed along with its shipyards destroying the plans, so there is no possible way the plans could have come into the VE's hands. There ya go, several flaws. On Topic, Name it the ESSD Master

Another Question is "Whats Next"? Another Death Star, Galaxy Gun, Sun Crusher? Hell if you got a ESSD why not go further and create a Death Star.

Have any of you come to the realization that Star Wars is not real? That nothing in Star Wars is possible today? So can't you just accept the fact that the VE wants to have a little fun by holding a competition to name an ESSD, even if is seems impossible to build one? There, now that I'm done with  my spiel, I'll give you the SW explanation: In the New Republic, when it was first formed, there were not enough people or ships for anything. So guess what they did? They used Mon Cal cruiser crewed with twelve humans, and the rest used droids. Though these ships were used primarily for cargo transport, it wouldn't be that difficult to modify a droids (or thousands of them) programming to be a fighter. Next, the Eye Of Palpatine was not crewed entirely by humans, was it? It had a super-intelligent computer (which did go berzerk in the end, due to some little cyborg punk) that controlled every aspect of the ship. Could it not be that our own brilliant engineering division, along with the allied sites, has come up with some intelligence much like this one that can be assisted by humans? The answer is yes, by the way. Just one more thing: Mith'raw'nurodo is Admiral Thrawn's real name; he took on the name Thrawn because it is composed of the middle of his name: Mith'raw'nurodo. For those of you who didn't know.

Well, I've still got some name suggestions(curse Warmaker for taking all the German ones before I could  ), but I agree with Master and Daishi.  On a different note, if we can pull this from our butts(figuratively of course...), why didn't we pull out a massive fleet of Star Destroyers?  We could build at least a hundred for the same cost, and all superweapons really give is a psychological edge, you can outrun them easily, only fighting when it's in your best interests.  What we really need before a superweapon is a massive fleet to back it up.  Anyways, on to names... We may have a billion, or two billion or even three billion people, which may not be enough to build and man an ESSD, but thats besides the point. In Episode 2 a few of the weird tall guys made a massive army of clones. Whats stopping us making 10 billion cloned Bears? Ok, it would be terrifying (the rebels would commit suicide before we even started firing), but possible. Duh. Oh yeh.. ESSD Bear

Lesse, at our highest strength(at least while I was there), we had two ISDs(mine was better, it was an mk II  ), a vic, and an MC.  Later, when membership fell quite severely, we were reduced to just the MC.  I don't remember ever getting a ship like this...
