QW ‘12:
Justice DeliveredBefore we actually begin, allow me to clarify a few basic rules that are meant to help everyone enjoy themselves as much as possible.
First off, posts must...
1: Be less than 500 words. We want quality over quantity here, so cut out all filler content and focus on moving the story along. You are also going to have to coordinate and work with the others in your squad. You won’t be punished if you stumble a bit over, but if there’s a 600+ word post, it’s getting counted down.
2: Contain quality and advance the story in some manner. Generally, try to have at least 200 words in your post, preferably 250 minimum, but neither is truly enforced as long as it meets the requirements of quality and advancement. For example, playing sabaac will not consider an advancement to the story. I understand a little filler, but if filler is the entire post, don't expect it to score, or be surprised to find it deleted.
3: Use an ooc code to identify your squad at the beginning of your post.
Eclipse:
- OOC:
- Eclipse
RAIDERS:
- OOC:
- RAIDERS
BlackJack:
- OOC:
- Blackjack
Jester:
- OOC:
- Jester
Also Post the word count for the post at the end of the post in an ooc tag
And a few suggestions, of which are not required, but advised.
Be on IRC, both in your squad channel, and in #Wildcard (The latter is a platoon channel where you can discuss your next post with everyone in the platoon.)
Try and coordinate actions with squads that may have somewhat similar objectives or operating in the same general area. Although you might not directly work together, you can still most likely call for a round of coverfire or something.
Don't hesitate to call upon your support if you feel it can enhance the post significantly. Just don't overdo it.
---Scoring Guide---
8 maximum points possible
-1 point for correct squad/WC formatting
-1.5 points for correct spelling(.5)/grammar(.5)/formatting(.5)
-2.5 points for story advancement and basic quality
-3 possible ‘quality’ points that are up to the grader; was this post a good post? Did I enjoy reading it? Did something in it make me go, “wow!”? Etc.
Good luck, and may the best Squad win!
