Yeah, I think that makes some sense.  Have a "SCAP" or "SCTP" tag, and maybe a "VENA" tag, too.  Once we list 'em all, we can take a look at options.

On that note, I think I'm going to be putting this project on hold for a few days. I've got my last final on Thursday and then I'll be moving out of college the following day. So I won't have too much time in the coming days, coupled with writing an ending post for Counterpunch.

That being said, if you want to compile that list and work with Trick, Gurlanin, that would be great. But right now it's not so important. This has been a project in the making for years, so a few days of lying dormant isn't necessarily a bad thing.

As soon as I get 2012 and 2013 updated, I'll get that list of single stories composed. Should be ready in a few days.

On that note, Gurlanin, do you have the list of 2013 stories compiled yet?

Gur/Trick: I appreciate the help for this phase. And also feel free to go through the timeline itself and add links to relevant wiki pages and such. I feel better about the modifications now that the timeline's base core is complete.

The next major tasks will be to comb through the old comnet, which may prove very difficult, and to finalize details in the current entries. I plan on taking a few days off from the timeline itself, so I can focus on some much needed writing.

And we now have all of the stories for the new wiki logged and tagged. All that's left for this phase is to figure out how to handle the old wiki.

I presume you mean the old ComNet (instead of old wiki), and that's really not a priority.  Not to diminish the importance of those early, formative years, but they were early and formative... the entries now on the timeline are more than adequate to get a sense of the division's history.  Really spectacular work, Fishhead, in restarting this project, and plowing through until completion (well, even this stage of completion).  Stay tuned for recognition, comin' at you soon.

I guess next for the project is compiling a prose narrative, that weaves together these entries into a coherent story of the division's history.  That too, I would think would be easier done with multiple people working on it.  Do you have any concerns/ideas?

I think it'd be helpful to remember the distinction between IC and OOC, again, here.  OOC, the Navy division of the club was focused on starfighter squadrons only, in those early years, and so most of the stories we have from those years are squadron stories, yes.  But the stories we have don't cover everything that happened, IC, during that time period.  In other words, I think we can infer the larger narrative, to an extent, based on the types of enemies those squadrons are fighting.  I may be wrong, but I actually think it won't be particularly hard to come up with some sort of narrative... just tedious.  And I agree that we should focus on the bigger missions, when constructing that narrative.

Go on and focus on other things.  You've done quite enough for the time being.
