OOC:

This is going to be an ongoing story dealing with the LCR Onyx, it will be used to tie together the stories of the various members of the ships crew, and also to take care of the more mundane things which take place aboard the ship in between the primary missions.

Chief Warrant Officer Slasher looks up from the table in the senior staff conference room, as Senior Chief Petty Officer Radge Leekin enters the room, “Yes Number One?”

“The McElroy has arrived in system, the ship's Captain says he has a set of sealed orders for you and is requesting permission for our vessels to dock and for him to come aboard the Onyx.”

“I've been told to expect them, carry out the docking and have Helin escort Captain Vikarlo here, also, strike all mention of this meeting from the ship's logs.”

“Sir?”

“You heard me Number One, the McElroy was never here.”

“As ordered Captain.”

As Leekin leaves the conference room Slasher turns back to look at the dossiers on the new crewmen that were getting assigned to his ship to replace those losses sustained during the Combat in the Epsilon system. Where what had been meant to be a simple training mission turned into a fight for their lives. Slasher barely looks up from his reading as a slight shudder goes through the deck, indicating that the McElroy had successfully docked with his ship, and he will soon be visited by Captain Vikarlo and find out what all of this is about.

===10 minutes later===
Slasher looks up as the door to the conference room opens and admits Petty Officer First Class Helin and Captain Vikarlo. Slasher stands and salutes the captain and then addresses Helin,

“Acorn, you're dismissed, I'll escort the Captain out myself at the conclusion of our meeting.”

“Aye Captain,”

Once Helin leaves the conference room, Slasher turns back to the McElroy's Captain and gets straight down to business.

“I'm told that you have sealed orders for me Captain?”

“That is correct,” The officer hands him a sealed packet and then goes to sit down, “I am ordered to provide you with this and then to provide you with support for the mission.

After reading the orders Slasher nods and begins to speak, “I understand and accept these orders, I will report to your ship in 30 minutes for the mission, I must make arrangements here for the period of my absence.”

“Very Well Chief Warrant Officer, I expect to see you in 30 minutes then. I will see myself back to my vessel”

“Aye Sir.”

Captain Vikarlo stands and leaves the conference room, while Slasher himself hits the intraship comm button and summons Petty Officer Helin and Senior Chief Leekin to the conference room. A couple minutes later they both arrive and sit at the table with him.

“You wanted to see us Captain?” Leekin begins,

“Yes Number One, I am going on assignment for a little while, Leekin you are Acting Captain for while I am gone, Helin is your First Officer, this ship is ordered to patrol this sector until my return or receipt of further orders. I am departing in approximately 25 minutes, that will be all, you are dismissed.”

“Aye Captain.”
