== Background History ==
During the battle of Bothawui in the clone wars, the debris was dropped onto the planet below. Much of it was harmful, and this caused many of the more remote and poorly-supplied settlements to be damaged if not destoyed and many people died as a result of the debris or the destruction they caused. Even though Jamasis was born several years afterward, the remote Bothan-human settlements were still in an incredibly desolate state. At the age of four his mother died of a rare native virus. From then on his father, a wretched drunk, treated him cruelly, beating and neglecting him. His father gave Jamasis little food, so, at the age of fourteen, he finally abandoned his father, preferring a life on the streets to what he had experienced for the last ten years.

The next several years were bad for Jamasis. He spent his days scavenging for food through minor jobs and begging. The competition on the streets since the clone wars resulted in numerous fights and gave him many of the basic skills needed for survival. Jamasis gained a reputation for being one of the toughest boys on the block by seventeen. This resulted in a knife fight with an older man, but when he lost and was driven from the area he fled to the capital. On the journey he finally accepted that he could not live here much longer, and upon his arrival in town decided that the Stormtrooper corps. would give him what he needed and his street fighting skills would give him an edge that could help him rise in the ranks. He stowed aboard an freighter bound for the unknown regions where he joined the  Imperial military

== Character's Personality ==
Jamasis is, to be frank, a survivor. He perseveres and can take hardships over long periods. He is not particularly emotional, being generally calm but determined. He is motivated and wants to move up in society, and is unscrupulous but loyal to any benefactors. He is intelligent, learns quickly and his whole personality has been built up around surviving on the streets and in some of the worst situations possible.
