And I'm interested, how did you experiance the movie?
And yes, I know it's an old movie, but I've never before felt the need to see it. So meh.
I can't say I like the humor.
I don't understand the hype over Borat, I mean, when I read up of the background and making the film, it was just plain insulting.

I used to watch Da Ali G Show when it was on HBO in the States, so I was pretty excited when Borat was announced.

Much of the humor comes from the offense. If that doesn't work for you, so be it but much of it comes from being able to a) laugh at yourself, and b) recognizing that some of the folks that live around us are total sh!ts. I couldn't stand it for a couple reasons. Mostly because the level of idiocy involved hurt; it really did. I wanted to punch the guy in the face, it would of been different if, y'know, he didn't know he was acting like an asshole. Dunno, I've never much been one to enjoy things that are designed only to offend. I mean sure, I don't mind offensive stuff, but going out specifically to offend seems. . .petty.
I also watched Borat sober, when it's clearly a movie you're supposed to be stoned to watch or at the very least really drunk. Only reason I like Taledega Nights and Team America is because I was really fucked up when I watched them, so that probably skewed my opinion somewhat; some movies you're just not supposed to be able to think while you watch.
