Reach II Military Convoy, 240Gordon Carmichael sat in the passenger seat of the lead JX-09 Secured Prisoner Transport. In front of the JX-09 that Gordon sat in, two of the convoy’s escorts rolled over the ground, two Heavy Trackers. Behind Gordon’s JX-09, two more JX-09s and two more of the military’s Heavy Trackers. In the air, four air escorts, Y-41-C2LCs, flew about the convoy. Nothing could stop this convoy that was holding multiple high-detention prisoners waiting for air-lift to the nearest dungeon ship.
“Commissioner Carmichael, we are approaching the rendezvous point. I’m going to send two of my fighters ahead to check it out. Delta, out.” The lead pilot of Delta Flight spoke to Commissioner Carmichael in his Corellian accent. Corellian gave the pilot his affirmative and went back to peering outside the transport. “Sir, my fighters have found-”
The lead pilot of Delta Flight flew out of his fighter as it burst into a million pieces. And then the other Delta Pilot that hadn’t been sent away turned into dust as well. Commissioner Carmichael raised his radio to his mouth. “All available units this is Military Convoy number 240, we have lost our air support and have not been attacked by ground force as of yet.”
“Commissioner this is Officer Gore, my flight and I are loading up. Air support is on it’s way.” One of the more corrupt officers in Carmichael’s opinion was coming to save his ass.
Great.
“Sir this is Tracker Two, ground forces are approaching us from the east. Orders?”
“Tracker Two stay in the convoy, we have to make it to this rendezvous point.”
“Yes, sir.” Suddenly attackers from the east were shown, machine gun and blaser fire pelted the convoy. As the heavy trackers turned their weapons on the attackers, the lead heavy tracker immediately let off more shots then the entire convoy combined. But just as it did so, it flipped up and landed on Tracker Two (the Heavy Tracker behind it). It had hit a land mine.
“Convoy 240 stop!” Carmichael screamed into his radio as he drew his pistol. Now attackers from the west were shown as well. Carmichael turned to the driver of the convoy. “Sergeant, go into lockdown mode.” The pilot nodded and pressed a button down on the main screen. All of the windows were pushed down and replaced by a metal bulletproof layer. “Jones!”
“Yes?” The Sergeant with a rather large weapon sat guarding the prisoner room.
“Lock and load. Throw me that LAR.” The Sergeant cocked his StA LAR, and then threw Carmichael one as well.
