== Background History ==
Andréa was born on the world of Hapes, and so had little contact or direct knowledge with the rest of the galaxy or the Empire until her late teens. While her mother was a pureblood Hapan, her father was not, and so told Andréa second-hand tales of the Empire’s reign throughout her entire childhood. Taken in by tales of the heroic actions of the Empire’s heroes, Andréa began training with the Hapan military for a brief time before deciding that rather than emulate the military force of the Empire, she would much rather join them. With this decision, Andréa left her home and traveled Coreward, seeking to join the military she had heard so much about.
== Character's Personality ==
Andréa Desjani tends to be one of the more quiet types, often keeping to herself unless she feels strongly that a situation requires her speaking up. She has shown herself to be fiercely loyal to her friends and comrades, and equally so to the ideals of the Empire she has adopted. However, as a result of her Hapan upbringing, Andréa has a natural distrust of males in positions of power. Although she is aware that this is a cultural view and is not shared by most of the Core Worlds, she occasionally has difficulty fighting her instinct that any orders from a male must be questioned. Since seeking out the Empire, Andréa has made a conscious decision to attempt to overcome what the Empire would see as a “failing”, though how much success she has had overcoming twenty years of cultural bias remains to be seen.

((While I know VE is based before the "Thrawn Era" which is, iirc, 9ABY, I wasn't sure exactly when. This is a character I thought up a few months ago and never fleshed out, so the idea that she is Hapan is a longstanding idea. However, Hapans weren't really a common site until 8 ABY or so, so I wrote that she actively left to seek out the Empire. If this isn't the case, or Hapans have become a common sight by this point, its an easy fix.))
