Emotional Description: Melmoth is frustrated with life in general, also particularly his apparent failure at life, and seeks to find a reason to exist in the VEN. He's often angry, but hides it fairly well, only occasionaly breaking. Despite his anger issues, he tries to approach things with an open mind, and evaluates situations on a case-by-case basis.

History: Melmoth grew up on Abrae as an orphan in a poor orphanage. His parents died when he was two in an industrial accident that destroyed the building they worked in. As he grew, he became involved with a small-time street gang but never rose very high in its ranks. At seventeen, he moved to a city far away and broke contact with all gangs. There he finished school, climbing from the bottom of the class to the top third.

After he graduated from public school, he drifted in an out of jobs, dissatisfied at the lack of stability in each one, and moreso in his own life, untill he joined the VEN at the age of twenty-two to continue his quest for something that would not change overnight.

Lag Pursuit

The Lag Pursuit is an offensive manuver designed to keep you behind a turning enemy. When an enemy makes a turn, you follow the turn at the same speed, perhaps losing some speed would be better, and when the enemy has finished their turn you're on their tail and in a good spot to open fire. This is less a manuver and more following and going slow enough not to overshoot them.

The Immelman

The Immelman is a manuver to turn around and gain altitude. In atmospheres, a half-roll is included on the way up so that when it's finished you're not upside down. In space, this would be unneeded since there is no gravity to worry about. Upside down is a matter of perspective, and limiting yourself to these perspectives is a good way to get killed by those who don't.

Melmoth's Report: July 31th, 2008

Activity: Proceeded through Flight School, completing phase one and two late last night. (actually a few hours ago, but meh.) Going through phase three now, and that's it.

Upcoming plans: Finish Flight School, and get into the game.

Questions/Suggestions: Any idea where the 'SFS P-w401 ion maneuvering jets (2)' on a TIE fighter are located? Also, what IS the ID line for a trainee? I understand it once you're in a squad, but before that?
