Wow. As long as they don't hand things off to SOE, it will probably have a lot of potential. Galaxies was great until SOE took over full time. :P

I'm not sure this is fair. I mean Knights of the Old Republic necissarily has Jedi as a central focus. For the MMORPG not to mirror that to some degree would be kind of silly. Jedi will almost certainly be playable from the opening of the game, though I imagine they'll balance them with other potential character types. |

Well, the knights have mostly been hunted down by Revan, so it would make sense for the ratio of troopers/mandos to jedi to be fairly high. Point conceded though, although I still don't like the idea. Only according to the games, and only after that point in time. There's two important catches to that:
1) The game could be set well after that period. The Old Republic existed virtually unchanged for thousands of years. Clearly by the time the new trilogy rolled around the Jedi Order was back and going strong
2) It could be set some time before that period too, like the KOTOR comics. I actually assume the game is more based on the KOTOR comics than on the KOTOR vidja games. High Admiral Japheth Cappadocious, Krath Templar

I'd have to disagree Japh, Bioware has gone against the comics before, and the whole reason they chose this time period is because not much had been done on it. I have a feeling they'll go after, where there hasn't been anything.
