I agree with what you're saying Aeos, but I don't see why I should 'step back'. If someone calls me a jerk on a public forum like the pair of them did, of course I'm going to reply, and I'm 99% sure everyone else would as well. And, I'm not adding to the argument in any way, I haven't called them any names just for the fun of it, or intentionally tried to continue this further than I feel it has to be.
So please, don't put me on the same level as them just because I don't like being insulted.
