Once everyone was inside the lights suddenly went off. Just as suddenly they flickered back on bringing a jungle scenery into view. Drakar reached out and touched one of the nearby leafs and said, "How is this even possible....?". He thought this is definately some high dollar training right here because he had never seen anything so close to be in the real thing.
Operation Immortalis
Once the simulation began Drakar reached for his datapad to review the groups objectives, he could hear the beeps of his fellow trainees doing the same thing. He knew someone would have to take charge so Drakar decided he would take this opportunity to kind of help get the team going in the right direction. He chimmed in,"I think we're all set then. It's just a matter of choosing teams. Since there's five of us, I think it'd be best if we split into two groups so one of us doesn't have to go off alone. I say myself, Blaze, and Cursed can be Alpha squad." "Goshin and Wildstorm can be Omega. Everyone good?"
Wild nodded with the rest of the gang and stood next to Goshin. "Once you've located a patrol team, be sure to relay your coordinates and their head-counts to everyone else. Also let us know when you take them out so we can keep a count on how many scouting parties remain. Once we're through with them, we'll meet up one hundred yards before the main bunker entrance to regroup. Agreed?" Wild said, and as everyone agreed.
"Great, so," Drakar looked down at his datapad. "Let Operation Immortalis begin."
Drakar, Blaze, and Cursed, Alpha team headed North West away from their original location. Drakar chimmed in, "Everyone keep your eyes peeled...We can not be spotted otherwise we will be swarmed. As he slowly walked through the jungle he wanted to look around, but he knew he couldn't otherwise he would be leaving himself and the rest of Alpha team exposed. He held his E-11 Blaster in his right hand while keeping his left on his Vibroblade. The fog from the jungle was kind of nuisance as well as an ally due to the fact that it made it very hard to detect anything.
After walking for what seemed like thirty minutes Drakar spotted what looked like a speeder bike. He motioned for Cursed and Blaze to get down. Just as they all went down, a lone Scout walked back to the bike got out his datapad and wrote something on it. Drakar wanted to sneak around him and take him out, but figured it would be unwise if there was more around him. He looked at his team and wondered what they thought. He signaled to them to head about fifty yards further west to see if anyone was near this scout. Private Drakar

Drakar spoke into his COM, which went into Anden's Swamp Trooper Armor. Blaze took point, Goshin center, and Anden was back. Backpedaling slowly to meet the pace of his group, heat sensors picked up nothing in his visor but a few bugs and the two men near him. A DC-15A Rifle was in his hands, and was gently aimed at nothing, the DC-15S Blaster Rifle was attached to his belt, while his two pistols were on his hip. The first minute of walking greeted nothing but silence and jungle. If the Scout Parties were coming, they would not know these three were here. Anden wondered how Omega Team was doing, if they ran into trouble they would not have as much cover as Alpha, they only had two, as Alpha had three. Supringly enough, Anden was the only one in his Squad that didn't have a E-11 Blaster, he hated those pieces of crap they didn't have aim, or repeating fire. The old DC models were much better, they had aim and reliability. And, if you miss your first shot you can shoot again without a blaster bolt in your chest. A good twenty-nine minutes later Alpha Squad had made progress. They suddenly reached a speeder bike, they all took cover. Looking through his Electrobinoculars Anden saw one scout, that was it. Raising his DC-15A Rifle he aimed it at the scout, he would not shoot-but him, and his gun-were camo, they could not be seen by the naked eye. Suddenly, the roar of two speeder bikes came to their ears. And the two speeder bikes that they had been hearing ripped through the forest, two scouts on each. Now there were five scouts, but these speeder bikes parked next to the one that was there. They all started to converse. Anden quickly sent a message via COM. It was five clicks. click, click, click, click, click. This meant open fire, two clicks meant that this was ok. All of the squad raised there weapons, Blaze moved past, and into the brush. Drakar began to kneel, for Anden would attempt to draw them to him. The trap was set. Putting down his weapon, he walked out, hands up. "Please don't hurt me!" Were the words Anden spoke, the scouts turned at him, they did not have their weapons raised just yet... that was their mistake. "Halt," the de facto looking leader said to Anden. "What buisness do you-AH!" Anden threw a thermal detonator into the midst of scouts, they were away from the Speeder Bikes now. He took cover as Blaze and Drakar jumped out of nowhere and began to fire, the thermal detonator detonated and didn't kill anyone, only harming the leader. Blaze began to reek havoc in the midst of confusion, while Drakar jumped into the fray and slung his vibroblade around, hitting one over the neck-he wasn't dead just yet. Then a shot with his E-11 claimed that life. Wildstorm said to Goshin. She ran off, E-11 in hand. "Lets do a thorough search of the area, if we have to circle back to get them all then thats what we do, I don't want any of them at our backs." She said. "Why don't you go about three yards that way," She said pointing up on ahead of them. "Always stay in sight of each other but keep your eyes on the look out. Patrols don't always travel all together. Some are actually smart enough to send a scout ahead."
"I understand." Goshin said, bringing his '17m up on his shoulder. "If i spot anything visible, i will signal with 2 comm clicks." He moved up to the nearest tree, so he could not be seen. She gave a thumbs up and a go-ahead signal.
Goshin moved up a bit. He could hear a speeder engine off in the distance.
"Wild, can you hear where that is coming from." Goshin said, his voice slightly lowered.
"I think that way." She said, pointing a little S-SE of their position.
Goshin quicky changed the settings on his commando survial pack attached to his armor, to accomodate for this planet. He felt much better, annoyed that he had forgotten to do that when he first arrived. He changed his DC-17m to sniper mode, looking through the scope in the direction Wildstorm had pointed.
"I can see a gleam of white, you would think that these guys would try some sort of camo armor." Goshin said. "It looks like there are 6, 4 on speeders, 2 not, but there could still be another, out patroling where we are."
"I don't think that the lone one, if there is one, is going to be more of a threat to us than these guys, i mean if we can't even hear the engine, than a: there is no loner, or b: its to far away to worry about right now."
"Your right, let's go."
The both moved up, quickly, but quietly, both watching and listening. The sounds of the engines were looming closer. Goshin suddedly heard an engine roar, getting louder and louder. He dived right, into a clump of green plants, trying his best not to be seen. A few meters away, Wildstorm was doing the same. He made a decision, now was the time. He looked at Wildstorm, she gave a nod. He quickly looked through the scope. The speeder had paused. Goshin let off one shot, at the scout's head. He fell off his bike.
They could hear shouts, as the others ran towards them. 1 down, 5 to go. Fortunatly, the scout's only had small pistols, Goshin and Wildstorm might be down in numbers, buts the scouts were very much outgunned. Goshin switched his '17m to assault rifle mode, in 3.7 seconds. He had been praticing, beside him Wildstorm had alreasy begun to fire at a scout without a speeder. While Goshin pulled out a C-22 Fragmetation grenede, and threw it, aiming from two bike that were next to each other. The scout on one bike jumped off, but Wildstorm's E-11 caught it in the neck. The other was killed by the grenede, along wtih both bikes. Goshin then started firing.
By now there was only one left. In which together they shot down.
"Did you get hit." Wildstorm asked Goshin.
"Yeah, one got me i the knee, but my armor got most of it, what about you?"
"I'm fine, i had alot more cover than you."
"Yeah, i know."
They both stood, up admiring their work, Then they ran off towards the base. Private Goshin

"Your right, let's go." Goshin said as he stood up.
As they moved on, Wildstorm took her helmet off to quickly adjust her bionic ear to let in more sound just as a precaution. She put her helmet back on and regripped her E-11. The sounds of the engines were looming closer. Goshin's head suddedly shot up. She too heard an engine roar, getting louder and louder. She dived left, into the cover of some large but young saplings, trying her best not to be seen. A few meters away, Goshin was doing the same with a bit less cover. Goshin looked at Wild, she knew what he was thinking so she gave the ok after all he was equiped for the shot and not her. The speeder had paused. Goshin let off one shot, at the scout's head. The scout fell from the speeder with a thump in the undergrowth. Wild winced that was going to draw unwanted attention but she decided to go with the flow.
"Cursed, Drakar, Blaze, we've run into a patrol, six persons Goshin just took out a scout. We are about to engage stand by." Wild clicked through her comm. She had already begun to fire at a scout without a speeder. She noticed that Goshin pulled out a C-22 Fragmetation grenede, and watched as he threw it. The scout on one bike jumped off, but Wild's shot caught him in the neck. The other was killed by the grenede, along wtih both bikes. Goshin then started firing.
By now there was only one left. In which together they shot down.
"Did you get hit." Wild asked looking Goshin over.
"Yeah, one got me in the knee, but my armor got most of it, what about you?" Goshin said looking down at his knee and back up and around.
"I'm fine, i had alot more cover than you." Wild responded smiling. You got lucky that wasn't a killing shot." She said getting a better look at the scorch mark.
"Yeah, i know." Goshin said shrugging.
They both stood up Wild admired their work, Then they ran off towards the base.
"Guys we took out six scouts, one patrol down how are you guys on your end?" She asked as they moved forward still on the look out for another patrol.
Drakar could hear the man starting to scream in pain after just being sliced open on the neck when he pulled his E-11 Blaster out and shot him to put him out of his misery.
The group waited a couple of minutes to see if anyone else had heard the disturbance before calling Omega team on the comlink. Drakar said, " We took down a five man group, we are going to check the bodies and their speeders for intel, over." Anden found the dead body of the leader and walked over to him checking each of his pockets. In the left hip pocket of his utilty belt he found an access card and said, " We got one...". Just as he said that Drakar and Blaze both picked one up off of the bodies they both searched. Then Drakar said, "We should let Omega team know we got three access cards." Out of the corner of his eye he saw a flash of light..., it was the leaders datapad. When the comotion broke out he threw it trying to dump it so no one could get the information on it. Drakar walked over to it and smiled inside his helmet. He signaled the rest of the team and said, "With this new intel surely we could get inside the base and take out our target." The datapad had a map of the entrance of the facility and where the guards are posted.
After picking up the datapad and putting it in one of his left hip pockets on his utility belt he reloaded his magazine on his E-11 Rifle and wiped the blood of the deceased scouts on the scouts uniform until its bright gleam began to show. "We need to do something with the bodies" Blaze said, in which the group agreed. Alpha team each picked a body and drug it behind a group of bushes just a couple of steps from where the trap was sprung.
Drakar asked the team if everyone was set to keep moving, and Blaze and Cursed both agreed so they started back toward their original path heading North West. As they walked Drakar couldn't help but feel a little excited about how well Alpha team did in springing the trap on the unsuspecting scouts. He also couldn't believe how everything, even the blood of the scouts, seemed so real even though he knew that it was not. He wondered if Omega team had seen any more groups other than the one they took down.
Drakar pulled his map out of his pack and began to study it. He circled where they had incountered the first patrol on the map and thought for a second. "If we got one here and Omega team got one there then there is only about a mile and a half gap between us. What do you guys think? Should we try to meet back up to Omega team and take on any militias as a squad or keep on our current path." said Drakar.
Blaze, and Cursed were both looking at his map too when they said" We are somewhere between one to two clicks away from the base."
Just as Drakar looked up from the map a blaster rifle shot whizzed by his helmet. He could here the electricity flowing through it. Drakar yelled from the team to take cover. Everyone jumped behind a tree and some brush. Drakar pulled his E-11 blaster out and began to fire. He saw a group of militia soldiers charging their position. "Drakar, Blaze, if we stay here we will be overrun and outflanked.", shouted Cursed. Once he gave the signal alpha team moved as a squad working around the jungle to surround the militia. "Blaze you stay here, keep behind cover until my signal, you can't miss it." , shouted Cursed. Drakar and Cursed moved until they eventually worked around behind the militia. Drakar looked at Cursed and gave the ready signal. At this point the militia was still firing in what they thought the right direction was of Alpha squad. All three members threw a frag grenade in sinc with one another.
When they exploded all three members charged out of their positions firing. Drakar was close enough to a group that he pulled out his shotgun, attached to his right leg, cocked it, and fired three rounds instantly dropping two soldiers. In one swift motion, he spun around grabbed his vibroblade and killed two more. "Thats four guys how many have you got guys?", said Drakar playfully initiating a kill count competition between the three. Private Drakar

Anden stayed back, aiming his DC-15A Rifle, unknown to Drakar was that a man was coming up behind him as he blasted the milita with his shotgun. The man that was coming up behind him raised a blade, two shots aimed at his head decapitated him. "Hands!" Anden heard a noise from behind him, turing it was a man accompanied by three other all held blasters. "Now, drop the weapon!" "Ok," Anden dropped his DC-15A Rifle. It had a loud clang hitting the ground. Moving into the group with his hands up, he got on his knees and let his hands fall, and then touching the blade of his vibroknife. "Ok, one, two, three-No!" The leader screamed as the vibroknife was launched from Anden's hand into his jugular, blood began to squirt everywhere. The stunned people accompanying the man recovered quickly to what they had just experienced. So had Anden, pulling out his two Pistols he shot twice at the man closest to him-killing him. Moving around one of the other men hit his O-6 Blaster Pistol out of his hand, and grabbed his S-5 Pistol. The other man kicked Anden in the spine, causing Anden to charge the man that was holding his S-5 Blaster. Moving around the man by dropping his pistol he picked up his DC-15S and tibanna gas left the blaster, killing the man. One was left, he charged Anden quickly and knocked him off his feet. They began to roll, the slope they were on was about to come to an end. Grabbing a passing tree Anden held on for his life. So did the man, Anden's feet were the man's life. "No! PLEASE! I will tell you were our transport his!" The man said, as Anden looked at the man. "What kind of transport? Is anyone guarding it?" Anden asked the man, "And is there any way I can secretly get into your base?" "It is a LAAT Infanty model, it has no one guarding it. Give my your data map and I can point it out for you!" Anden handed the man the pad. "Here!" He had pressed a location of clear land about a fourth of a mile away. Now holding on with only one hand Anden said, "Thanks, but sorry, no thanks." Anden shot his DC-15S Rifle one handed, killing the man and letting him let go of his feet. The man fell from the slope, pancaking on the ground below. "I better get to this transport." Anden moved up the hill, he could not see his squad anywhere. Grabbing his Pistols, and all of the other weapons he lost, picking the knife out of his jugular he ran to in the direction of the transport. Moving over a hill the man was right, no one was guarding it. The white LAAT hovered above the ground. Moving over to it on the lowly cut grass Anden hopped up into it, and then moved over to the upper Pilots chair. Getting inside he clicked the controls and began to fly, he was looking for his squad. The control screen in front of him displayed COM Signals. And the COM Channel read 604.8281.019129.AB91.01 and it had the Chat of the base and everything else that was happening. Not caring about this COM Channel he remembered the code, but he typed in his Squad COM Code. And picked up the signals. "Alpha Squadron, Omega Squadron I am breaking Communication Silence. Does anyone of these two Squadrons copy me, I repeat-" Anden spoke into the COM that was connected wirelessly. "This is Alpha Squadron, please give your name." It was Drakar. "Alpha Squadron this is ACB. I am heading to your location." "What..." Drakar said, not knowing he was in the transport. Anden swooped down to the location Drakar and Blaze were, half a click away. They stood there, in awe at the transport. "Welcome," Anden said, landing the transport. "Hop in, Blaze take one of the Composite-beam Turrets. Drakar do you mind taking the back turret." Anden spoke into his COM, and all this was relayed over his COM. They all had their affirmatives and entered. Now just to find Omega Squadron. "Good thinking." She said patting him on the back. The data pad had a download of a map on it and Wild was taking the opportunity to utilize it. "Ok, according to the map, were about two clicks from the base." She said. "What about Alpha?" Goshin asked, "You heard from them yet?" Goshin had kept his comms off so he didn't have to listen for signs of a patrol over the chatter of the others. But he had either known or guessed that Wild would instinctively keep hers on. Wild was naturally curious about things going on around her and she had often times gotten into trouble because of it. The difference between now and then was the fact that she could get out of that trouble fairly easily. "Yeah they seem to have taken out the third patrol but they aren't completely sure about that. They also have an LAAT from the sounds of it." Her brow furrowed at that thought. "How did they manage that one?" The young man asked as they hunched in the underbrush. He was antsy, shifting from foot to foot. This neither surprised nor bothered Wild as he had seemed the type to live for the action from the moment she had met him. "Well I could tell you but I don't know myself. Its better to just let Cursed have his battle stories to tell us later." She answered putting the data pad into her pack. She checked the battery on her E-11 and nodded. She told Goshin to do the same with his. Although she had to admit he did have more weapons than she did. She had half a battery left and two other weapons not including her Vibroblade. She didn't like close combat and she preferred to avoid it today. "Half a battery left, you?" She asked. Goshin shrugged almost as if he didn't think it mattered. "I got a little more than half on this one, full on all others." He said shifting again. "Ok lets go." Wild said standing. "I have a feeling we will be meeting up with Alpha quite shortly." Then she led the way forward. Hearing Cursed over the comms again, Wild was sure that they had acquired an LAAT transport. "We hear you loud and clear Cursed. What is your location?" She called. "Actually we should be asking yours, Wild. We thought we would enter the base together, You know strength in numbers." Cursed answered back. Wild told him where they were and waited till the LAAT was in view before cautiously heading out of the cover of the trees. Amazingly there was a clearing big enough to allow the LAAT to hover and let Goshin and her to board. She looked around and spotted Drakar in the back turret, Blaze was in the Composite-beam turret to her right. She made her way to the co-pilot's chair up by Cursed and looked at the controls. It took her only a few moments to sort them out as they took off again. "Hello again. How you guys this fine evening?" Cursed asked in a jovial tone. Wild looked over at him and imagined him smiling behind his helmet. "I think we're fine." She said and noticed that rather than sit idly, Goshin had taken over the left Composite-beam turret. He looked comfortable despite the fact that his knee had to be bothering him. "If we back track and go around the bunker there should be a back door. It won't be as heavily guarded, but just incase at least two of us should attack from the front." Wild said as they took off flying low over the tree tops. "Who do you suggest?" Cursed asked as he deftly piloted the LAAT. Wild thought for a moment. Goshin had brought the most weapons which put him at the top of her list. Drakar seemed to be capable with his own weapons so he was also prime. "I say Goshin and Drakar go for the frontal assault. You, Blaze and I can go around the back. I'm pretty sure one of those key cards you have will open the doors." Wild said. "What do you think?" She asked. "I agree. It looks as though the both of them could hold their own and Drakar is really good with that Vibroblade of his." Cursed said nodding. Wild nodded and pointed out a vacant clearing in which they could land. As they did so she stood and motioned for the others to join her. After they were all gathered around, she took out a data pad with a map of the bunker and surrounding area. She downloaded the map to the other's data pads as well. "Ok, here's the plan," Cursed started. "We're splitting into two groups again. Drakar, Goshin you two will attack the base from the front of the bunker. It may or may not be heavily guarded so be careful. Goshin it looks like you came pretty close to being out of the game before try to be more careful, ok?" "Cursed, Blaze and I will take the back. Again we will have to be careful as well as we know that on Endor the Rebels attacked from the back of the Imperial base there. They may expect us to do the same. That is why we are splitting up. If one group is compromised the other can continue on with the mission." Wild stopped for a moment. "Drakar you have a key card it may help you to get in the front. Cursed and Blaze also have one so we shouldn't have any problems either." Blaze looked at the map for a moment and nodded. "I understand. I noticed something else with what you just said." He pointed at his map. "If we attack from two fronts we can effectively split their forces in half and take them out as we move through the bunker." Drakar and Goshin nodded in understanding. "Everyone turn your comm links on. we should all stay in constant contact." Goshin said turning his own back on. He gave a nod and a thumbs up. "Well everyone here we go. We're almost done lets get it done so we can all get a decent meal and a hot shower." Drakar said motioning to Goshin to follow. They didn't have very far to go to the front of the base. "You guys let us know when you're ready to attack." He said over his shoulder. Wild nodded and her and the other two moved out as fast and as quietly as they could so as not to arouse any suspicions or unwanted attention. Wild hoped this would work. - OOC:

"Alpha Squadron this is ACB. I am heading to your location."
"What..." Drakar said, not knowing he was in the transport. "How in the world did he get a transport?" he thought to himself.
Drakar was somewhat relieved he was not asked to be the copilot seeing as how he was a little unsure of his ability to fly, but extremely confident in his firing capabilities. They all had their affirmatives and entered. Now just to find Omega Squadron.
When Anden finally found Omega team they were coming out of cover from the trees. Luckily Drakar noticed a clearing just wide enough for the transport to drop in so he showed it to Anden who landed the transport perfectly.
When Wildstorm got onboad she took a quick glance at everyone onboard seemingly trying to get her bearings and then walked up and sat in the co-pilot seat. Goshin boarded without a word and immediately grabbed the left side Composite-beam turret.
Sarcasticly Anden broke the silence asking Wildstorm,"Hello again. How you guys this fine evening?". Drakar figured Anden had his usual smirk on his face while he was asking it and waited to see if Wildstorm would hit him. Wild responded, but didn't give the reaction that Anden wanted so he quickly lifted off the ground.
As the LAAT was flying Drakar noticed a scorched mark on Goshin's knee and thought to himself,"I bet that hurt. I wonder if they had more action than we did?". While Wildstorm and Anden came up with the plan Drakar checked all of his weapons in order to keep them in prime condition for combat. He knew that the worst part of the mission was yet to come and the forest while hard was the easier part. His thoughts were broken when Wildstorm said, "I say Goshin and Drakar go for the frontal assault. You, Blaze and I can go around the back. I'm pretty sure one of those key cards you have will open the doors. What do you think?" Drakar nodded in sinc with Anden. He was hoping that he would get the chance for more combat.
"Ok, here's the plan," Cursed started. "We're splitting into two groups again. Drakar, Goshin you two will attack the base from the front of the bunker. Blaze looked at the map for a moment and nodded. "I understand. I noticed something else with what you just said." He pointed at his map. "If we attack from two fronts we can effectively split their forces in half and take them out as we move through the bunker."
Drakar and Goshin nodded in understanding.
"You guys let us know when you're ready to attack." Drakar said over his shoulder as he exited.
Once Drakar and Goshin were off the LAAT they jumped behind some trees. Drakar looked at the entrance and noticed that there was a band of guards on the left and right of the front steps. "Why would they need ten soldiers at the front gate unless they knew we were coming?" Goshin said. Drakar nodded in agreement and said ,"Maybe one scout was able to radio to alert the base of our presence." He figured that the only way to get by the guards was to split the group of ten down to a smaller number. While Drakar and Goshin waited behind cover waiting on the signal from the rear attack Drakar looked down at the datapad with the map on it. Pointing to it, he showed Goshin that there was three security checkpoints inside the base immediately following the entrance to the base. "I say me and you each take a side and just do our best to make it to the front gate, what do you think? If either one of us makes it through their side of the guards first they can act as a flanker to the opposite side." "Do you think we will be able to take on 5 guards individually?" said, Goshin questioningly. Drakar sighed and said, "Hopefully".
The two each went their individual way sneaking around using trees as cover to get as close to the base as possible before starting their attack with the rear attackers. Drakar headed to the West side while Goshin went East. As Drakar settled into position waiting on the signal he thought to himself, "This is it, this could make or break our mission. You have to succeed, failure is not an option. You have the necessary skills to achieve your goal now it is just the matter of putting them into action."
Upon hearing the "Go" from the rear attacking group, he grabbed his E-11 and immediately started firing into the group. Now he held it firmly in his grasp in order to be more accurate. As he ran and fired he lost all emotion and sense of thought, every action he did was out of reflex. His initial firing managed to take down one guard, but missed the others. As he closed on them he could see the anger in their faces. When he was about three feet from them he grabbed his Vibroblade and began to sling it around. Through all the clashing of metal and the wild fire from the guards Drakar could hear Goshin experiencing the same type of situation on his side. He managed to kill two more. Now there was only two remaining. Each of them grabbed their swords and began to twirl them around with great fluidity and skill. Inside his helmet Drakar was sweating profusely and raised his eyebrow at the guards who were still swinging their blades around. In one swift motion he jumped and fell backward to his back while firing two quick shots from his shotgun. The lifeless bodies fell to the ground with a loud thud. Private Drakar

Goshin said. "Hopefully". Drakar said with a sigh. Goshin was pretty sure he could, he had his trusty DC-17m, it had never failed him. Of course, it really hadnt had time to fail him. But he disregarded that, if things got to close, he still had his vibrolblade tucked in his belt. He round around the long way to the other side of the base, hidden behind the side wall. "Go!" He heard, from somewhere behind him. He had and idea. He switched his 17m to sniper mode and waited about half a second, Drakar ran out and started firing, he caught one in the chest, but no luck on the other shots. Goshin took aim, while all 9 were distracted. He picked off 1....2....3. Then they noticed him. "Oh great." He said to himself, switching his 17m to assualt rifle with one hand, the other reaching for his vibroblade. 2 rounded the corner. He slashed one in the neck, and the other he shot in the stomach from point-blank range. "Holy crap..." he muttered to himself, "That was exciting." It kind of scared him actually, he enjoyed the fighting so much. He pushed it out of his mind, rounding the corner, 17m in hand. Drakar had finished off the others. "Well, that was fun." Goshin said. "Yeah, uh-huh." was Drakar's reply. Drakar used his keycard to open the door, there was a guard right there, back turned. "What the..." The guard managed to get out, before 2 shots hit him in the chest. "Ha!" Goshin exclaimed. Drakar gave him a funny look. "Okaaay." Drakar said, the funny look still on his face. They continued on. Goshin started through his comlink. "Hey, have you guys gotten through the back yet?" Goshin said, over the comm. "Yeah, there was only 4 guards." Cursed's voice came back. "Lucky, we had ten." "TEN!!! What happand, are you guys okay?!" "Yeah we're fine, there was another one right as we went in." "Dang, well, i guess they didn't learn anything from Endor." "Okay, tell us if anything else happens" Goshin finished. He and Drakar continued on through the bunker, to the first security checkpoint, unsure of what lies ahead, hoping everything would turn out alright... Private Goshin

When the two met at the front gate he realized that someone else in the squad enjoyed the ability to take another person's life just as much as he did.
At the entrance there was an access panel with a bunch of different buttons, Drakar used the access card he had picked off of one of the patrols to open the door. It opened and much to their surprise a guard was standing with his back to where they were standing. "What the..?", said the guard right before Drakar and Goshin shot him once each in the chest.
Drakar looked down at his map once again to try and get his bearings of what would come next in the base. He pointed to the first security check point. "I bet there is no more than 3 of them at this one since there are two more check points right after." said Goshin in which Drakar nodded with agreement. "I say we go in there guns blazing because they will be in shock for a couple seconds which will give us enough time to take advantage of their mistake." said Drakar. He pumped his shotgun to prime it for the next combat situation while at the same time reloading his pistol. Once they reached the checkpoint Drakar noticed that Goshin had been right in his estimation because there were only three guards, one was a screener and the other two had hand wands.
As the sound of someone running in the base drew closer to the guards they began to look at each other with a curious look on their faces when suddenly a smoke grenade came flying in the room instantly filling the small room with a white cloud. Drakar had been running ahead of Goshin so he pulled out his shotgun and began to fire and pump it into the smoke. After three shots he heard one man hit the ground while another was only yelling in pain. Goshin and Drakar each took out the last two guards standing with the hand wands with their vibroblades. "Well that was pretty easy........one down two to go." said Drakar. Then they headed for the next two checkpoints.
They next two checkpoints went by in a blur due to the fact that they were so much closer together than the first had been and only had two guards at each station.
"Now we can finally start trying to locate and eliminate our target", said Drakar. Private Drakar

Wildstorm nodded to the rest of Hellgate, "Looks like we're finished here." The rest of Hellgate nodded in unison. Shortly after, the bunker and New Republic bodies began to slowly fade into a light transparency. It wasn't long before the bunker, bodies, and even the jungle itself faded out of view, leaving the members of Hellgate in complete darkness. "Well done, recruits!" Came Corporal Finney's voice through speaker. The lights in the simulation room were activated, and the troops found themselves back where they initially started before the mission began. Finney walked down the stairs with a big smile on his face and a clipboard tucked beneath his left arm. He nodded to the recruits upon approaching them, and quickly wrote something down on the clipboard. "You've done well for your first mission. I'm sure your superiors will be quite pleased with your progress. However!" Finney cleared his throat, "There's no time for celebration. Your shuttles are waiting outside to take you back to the barracks for debriefing. High General Cosmic will be waiting for you and inform you of what comes next in your career in the Stormtrooper Corps. So, let's not waste another minute, and move out! Everyone head for Alpha shuttle ASAP." The troops all shouted a "Yes, Corporal!" before making an about-face and heading toward the simulation room's exit. Finney quickly placed his hand on Wildstorm's left shoulder, "One second there, Private." Private Wildstorm spun around and nodded toward Finney, "What is it, sir?" Your Drill Instructor, Brigadier General Merrick, was given periodic updates throughout the mission to monitor your progress, and she was especially pleased with your performance. She would like to personally commend you on your success. Zeta shuttle is already prepped to take us to her." Wildstorm blushed slightly, "I... I don't know what to say. I'm speechless!" Finney smilled, "Well, let's hope you can think of a few words on the way." He motioned toward the exit, and both he and Wildstorm headed out the door. Alpha shuttle had already departed, and Zeta fired up its engines as soon as Wildstorm and Finney emerged from the simulation facility. Once the two had climbed inside, Finney nodded to the pilot, "We're all set!" "Copy that," replied the pilot, and she began punching in a flight-sequence combination into the main computer. The Zeta shuttle slowly lifted up off the ground, and began making its way back to base. Finney sat in the seat opposite of Wildstorm - he was fumbling with the safety belt. Suddenly, an alarm began sounding off in the cockpit. Wildstorm looked up, "What's going on?" The pilot's eyes widened, "Sithspit! We've got a problem in the ion engines. Wait... oh gods help us..." Finney unbuckled his safety belt and leapt up out of his chair, "What's the problem?" "We've got a fire... it's growing. We don't know why or how it started. This bird had a pre-flight check before we departed, so I don't know how the hell this happened... I've got to land this toaster ASAP! We may not have more than-" ------------------ Alpha Shuttle------------------ "Hey Skyp, Zeta's just fell off the radar." Skyp, the pilot looked over at his co-pilot and then at the radar. "My gods..." He quickly opened a channel, "Zeta, this is Alpha, come in, over." No response. "Zeta, I repeat, this is Alpha, come in, over." A dead silence was the only reply Skyp received, "We're turning around." Alpha made a quick U-turn and headed back toward the last known location of Zeta with rear thrusters on full burn. "What do you think happened? Radio down?" asked Zell. Skyp looked over at his co-pilot, "That's what I'm hoping, but I've got a bad feeling about this... Ok, we're coming up to their location. See if you can find..." "...Oh no." Zell peered down from the main viewport and spotted the large flames jumping from the heap of metal on the ground. Zell began pointed out the window, "Skyp, set us down! She's right there! She's burnin' up bad." Skyp opened up a frequency with the main Academy headquarters, "Mayday, mayday, mayday! Zeta shuttle has gone down! I repeat, Zeta shuttle has gone down." Skyp looked over at Zell, "Who was on that shuttle?" Zell quickly looked over at a nearby screen, "Corporal Finney and Private Wildstorm... They're gone." ******************************** Two hours later...Not a word was spoken in the debriefing room. In fact, no one in the room was even looking at each other. A few moments later, the automated doors to the debriefing room slid open, and High General Cosmic strode into the room followed by Brigadier General Merrick, Sergeant Decembrist, and First Sergeant Aeos. The troops of Hellgate rose slowly, but gave a crisp salute to their superiors. Cosmic returned the salute and motioned for them to sit. He positioned himself opposite them at the table while Merrick and the two Assistant Drill Instructors took a seat on either side of him. He clasped his hands behind his back and looked over each of the recruits' faces. "I'm not too good at speeches, and frankly I don't believe in giving long ones. Private Wildstorm and Corporal lost their lives due to an unseen mechanical failure in the ion engines. You didn't know Wildstorm long, but it is obvious that all of you cared for her as a fellow trooper and as a friend. She had great potential, and it is very unfortunate that these things happen. The best way to honor her memory now is to complete what she started, and progress in the ranks of the Stormtrooper Corps. So," Cosmic held out a hand toward Merrick, and she handed him several datapads. Cosmic then slid one datapad to each of the Hellgate members. "You are hereby instated into active duty service, and are all promoted to the rank of Private First Class. You did very well on your mission, and I hope you continue to do well with your next squad detail." Cosmic looked over each of the members once more, "A transport is waiting to take you back to headquarters, however, I have already informed the driver that you will be taking a few minutes longer than expected. If you'd like a moment of silence for Wildstorm, it's yours. She deserves at least that much. I look forward to seeing you progress in your careers - you are dismissed when you are ready to do so." Cosmic nodded to his Academy staff members, and they immediately left the room. The members of Hellgate did not get up and move, however. They remained in their chairs, giving their fallen friend the honor she deserves by acknowledging her success as a trooper and as a comrade in arms. - OOC:
